Behind the Rebrand: Why I Renamed My Program
Episode Summary She built a program to help Black women save money and get out of debt. The results were real and she thought she knew exactly what she had created. Then the testimonials started coming in. Nobody led with the savings milestone. Nobody opened with the debt payoff number. They talked about the shame finally leaving. About feeling in control for the first time. About understanding their money instead of being controlled by it. In this episode, Tiyana walks through what her clients actually said, why their words didn't match the name she had given the program, and what that gap revealed about what was really being built inside 5 Figure Funds all along. The name was describing a destination. The program was delivering a transformation. Her clients helped her see the difference, and ultimately renamed the program. Panic Payments: Why Throwing Money at Your Debt Isn't Working
Episode Summary You made a payment. A big one. And for about five minutes, you felt better—until you realized nothing actually changed. That's a panic payment. And in this episode, Tiyana breaks down why making random, fear-based payments toward your debt is costing you more than it's helping you. Through a client story of a woman working hard to improve her credit score while still relying on her cards for everyday expenses, and Tiyana's own experience with panic payments before she understood credit strategy, this episode gets honest about what's really happening when you throw money at debt with no plan behind it. Panic payments aren't a strategy. And until you have a personalized plan that tells you exactly what you're paying, why you're paying it, and when it will be gone, you'll stay stuck in the same cycle. If you're ready to stop throwing money at debt and start actually seeing it decrease, this episode is your next step. If You're a Big Spender You Need to Be An Even Bigger Planner
Episode Summary In this episode, Tiyana tackles a pattern many high earners know too well: spending like the money will always come back because historically, it has. But what starts as confidence in your earning power quietly becomes a cycle of debt, stress, and financial chaos. Through a client's honest confession and Tiyana's own story of juggling 3-4 jobs in college while drowning in debt, this episode exposes the gap between earning well and managing well. You'll learn why planning your spending isn't punishment. It's protection. And how building a strategy from day one (yes, even for spontaneous purchases) allows you to pay off debt every month without giving up the things you love. If you've ever told yourself "I'll pay it off later" and then didn't, this episode is for you.
