Are you Living a Life that is Yours?
When you’re used to paying attention to what everyone else wants, needs, and thinks, it can be surprisingly easy to lose touch with what actually matters to you.In this episode of Quiet Power, I’m talking about why connecting with your values is especially important for Enneagram Nines…and how your values can become a compass when you’re making decisions, navigating relationships, or deciding what success looks like for you.I also share the story behind my recent decision to close The Bold Nine, a membership I created four years ago and loved deeply. Nothing had necessarily gone wrong. But I eventually realized that holding onto it was keeping me from something I valued even more: deeper connection with the people I work with. We’ll talk about how knowing your values can help you stay grounded when your choices disappoint or worry someone else, and recognize when something that once fit your life may no longer fit the person you’re becoming.Get the free Values Exploration Workbook:If you’d like to get clearer about the values you’re already living and the ones you want to embody more fully, I created a free Values Exploration Workbook to walk you through the process. You’ll identify your most important values, envision what your life could look like if you lived them more fully, and learn how to use them to make decisions with greater clarity. Why the Tools Don’t Always Work
Have you ever wondered why you can know exactly what you should do, have all the right tools, and still feel stuck? For those of us who are used to keeping the peace or tuning into everyone else, the problem may be that our internal “cup” is already too full for anything new to land.In this video that I recorded for my Business of Therapy class in my Integrative Psychology graduate program, I share a simple analogy that changed the way I think about emotions, and why noticing what you’re already carrying might be the first step toward feeling more like yourself again. The One Practice that has Given me Competency in Moments of Pressure
In this episode, I share one of the most transformative practices I’ve learned through my somatic coach training: centering. Rather than another mindset tool, centering is a physical practice that teaches your body how to return to presence and confidence in moments of stress. You’ll learn the four dimensions of centering and how each one helps you act from your deepest values instead of your automatic patterns. If you’re an Enneagram Nine (or anyone who tends to shrink, merge with others, or lose yourself under pressure), this episode offers a way to reconnect with yourself in everyday moments. I’ll also guide you through a simple centering exercise you can practice while walking, working, or moving through your day so that, over time, your body naturally returns to your most grounded, connected self.In this episode, you’ll learn:* Why centering is a practice and a place.* The four dimensions of centering and what each one does for you* How to build embodied confidence by taking up space* Why “having your own back” is more than just a mindset* A simple daily practice to help you stay present, connected, and intentional under pressureThe more often you practice returning to center, the more naturally you’ll respond to life’s challenges with calm intention.I learned this practice from The Strozzi Institute about 6 years ago. I practice it when I’m brushing my teeth, when I’m driving, when I’m walking and when I’m with other people. And in moments of pressure, I quickly return to Center and it upgrades the experience every time.I recommend listening to this when you’re upright…walking, driving or doing other things. I’m going to guide you through the process. Be sure to do it with your eyes open…because in normal life, we have our eyes open and we need to practice it the way it’s going to be when life is actually happening. Please share your experience with Centering in the comments! I’d love to hear your takeaways. This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit heatherfillmore.substack.com

Ease vs. Evolving
For years, I believed my life was harder than everyone else's. In this episode, I’m sharing a mindset shift that helped me move from frustration and victimhood to hope and agency. And why questioning the story, "this is hard" might change everything for you, too.If its impossible to think of it in any other way, I invite you to schedule a 30 minute consultation with me. Coaching can make ALL the difference! This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit heatherfillmore.substack.com

Three Narratives I noticed This Week
This week I’m sharing some reflections from an immersion experience with my otherwise online master’s degree cohort and how it connected directly to the work we’ve been doing around personal narratives. As part of my Integrative Psychology graduate program, I spent several days learning and practicing a group therapy model. One of the most impactful lessons was witnessing what happens when people are given the space to share openly and be deeply seen…without advice, fixing, or interruption.Throughout the week, I noticed several old narratives showing up in my own mind. Listen in to hear what they were and how my awareness and intentionality created my experience. In this episode, you’ll learn:• Why group therapy can be so powerful• The difference between being witnessed and being fixed• Three narratives I noticed showing up during my immersion experience• A simple question that can help challenge self-defeating thoughts• How I’m managing overwhelm during finals weekWhat narratives have you been noticing lately? Please share your thoughts and reflections with me in the comments! This is a public episode. Episode 2: What are your Narratives?
What if your self-erasure, procrastination, and fear of speaking up aren’t actually “just who you are”… but stories you learned to survive? In this episode, I’m talking about more of our narratives as Enneagram Nines. These stories can feel so true that we mistake them for reality. But they’re not truth. They’re interpretations we learned early in life to feel safe and connected.I’m sharing:• How unconscious narratives shape your relationships, confidence, and energy• Why emotional triggers are an opportunity to find a deeper story underneath• Questions that can help you uncover the beliefs quietly running your life• The powerful shift that happens when your awareness creates choiceIf you’ve ever felt disconnected from yourself or afraid to fully take up space, this episode will help you begin coming back home to who you really are. To get the HOW…in other words, what you can do once you’ve discovered one of your painful narratives, to start changing from the inside out…upgrade to the paid tier! This is a public episode.
