Sacred Silliness

Two twenty-something best friends get real about the depth of existence. We are here to acknowledge the challenges of our humanity while recognizing – with spacious Knowing – that it is all perfect. Each episode is an honest conversation about the complexity of our lives and spirituality, diving into the things that touch our hearts: relationships, creativity, purpose, grief, joy, and everything that brings us closer to our Divine Truth. And because life would be unbearable without it, we call in cosmic humor—the kind that reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously. For anyone craving authentic conversations about growth, spirituality, and the work of becoming, we’re grateful to share this journey with you.

Sun Bear Conservationist Dr. Wong Siew Te

A conversation with a very special guest about Sun Bears, the harmonious nature of life on earth, the declining health of the ecosystem, and finding our purpose within all of it.Our guest today has spent his life championing one of the world's most overlooked animals — the sun bear. Dr. Wong Siew Te is a Malaysian Chinese conservationist, born in 1969 and raised in Penang, on the northern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. His path took him from studying animal husbandry and veterinary science in Taiwan, all the way to the University of Montana, where he earned both his bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology and, later, his PhD. Along the way, he became one of the world's leading experts on sun bears — the smallest bear species on Earth, and one of the least studied. That expertise led him to found the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre in Sabah, Malaysia, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and protection of these incredible animals. Please welcome Dr. Wong Siew Te.

    Surrender

In a day and age where we're bombarded with "shoulds" and "should nots" — from ourselves, our peers, social media, billboards, radio, TV — our deep inner Knowing can grow quieter by the day.In this episode, we explore what it means to surrender in a deeper way: to the flow of life, to our own inner teacher, and to the many circumstantial teachers constantly showing us the way. We dig into what genuine surrender actually looks like (hint: it's not complacency), how it shapes our personal growth and well-being, and why surrendering doesn't mean giving up — it means surrendering to the higher divine path our minds may not be able to understand yet.

    Family Part 2

Familial relationships are a potent playground for awakening! For real though, as Ram Dass once said, "If you think you're enlightened... go spend a week with your family." In this episode we talk about doing just that. Spending time in a bubble with family whether it be our chosen or blood related, can bring lots of stuff up to the surface. We spend some time excavating what has come through for us recently and reflecting on how these lessons teach us to be better versions of ourselves and cultivate more love and understanding for our families. P.S. You know who you are and if you're reading this... we love you! xoxoxoEvelyn & Erin

    Sitting in the Fire

Growth asks us to sit in the fire, to stay with the discomfort long enough to shed what's no longer serving us. In this episode, we talk about what parts of us surface when we're faced with challenge, and how to actually witness it instead of running from it. We get into why presence matters most when things are hardest, how radical acceptance becomes the catalyst for real change, and why loving ourselves unconditionally is what creates the space for transformation in the first place.Book Rec: The Surrender Experiment by Michael SingerChapters00:07 Introduction and Reflection on Editing00:16 Sitting in the Fire: Embracing Discomfort02:21 The Power of Vulnerability and Authenticity04:15 The Role of Fire in Transformation06:26 Personal Anecdote: A Life-Changing Experience09:00 Lessons Learned from the Fire11:41 Navigating Grief and Responsibility17:39 Transmuting Energy in the Fire24:32 Illumination Through Fire29:24 Learning Radical Acceptance33:46 Our Relationship with Pain38:09 The Power of Self-Love39:56 Insights from Michael Singer's Teachings42:54 Activism with Acceptance46:05 Developing Awareness of Triggers58:34 It's Never "Too Late"01:02:09 The Importance of Compassion for Mistakes01:02:47 Loving Yourself is the Only Way Out

    Confidence & Insecurity

As social beings, our relationships with ourselves - including every part of our being - have a big influence on how we show up in the world. Unaddressed insecurities may manifest in ways we are not aware of. Or, maybe we are aware. Regardless, building confidence requires us to sit in the discomfort of acknowledging our shadows, working with them, and choosing to find that unconditional acceptance (and maybe even love) for all that we are - for how we love ourselves is how we love others. Its tough talking about insecurity, but the courage that vulnerability requires is what creates self-trust and thus, confidence. Let's talk about it!We love ya <3

    Intuition

In this episode we deep dive into our intuition. What is it? How do we recognize it? Knowing our intuition is such a powerful tool, our intention is to get quiet enough to use it. Even quiet enough to recognize when we act on instinct rather than intuition. We share moments when we have ignored it, learned to hear it, and practices to realign with it in times we feel lost. If you're ready for real change — not more information, but actual transformation — Root & Rise was made for you. This simple, powerful 4-week journey will help you get honest about where you are, get clear on what you're truly living for, and take grounded steps toward a life that actually feels like yours. Trust & Authenticity

Welcome back to another episode of Sacred Silliness. In this episode, we talk about trusting the process of life, which requires us to be authentic to who we are and what our hearts want. Authenticity doesn't come easily and requires us to be radically honest - and courageous - because looking at ourselves fully isn't always pretty. Still, coming to that place of full acceptance and unconditional love for all that we see allows us to flow with life and stand in love. We love you!

    Yoga Part 2

We're back with part 2 of our yoga series, continuing to explore yoga as a path to self-discovery. In this one, we break down what yoga really is—and what it's not (especially in the western world). As yoga teachers and students, our practice inspires us daily, whether we're on the mat or just moving through life. We're excited to share what we've discovered and unpack what we're learning in this lifelong journey. This is only the tip of the iceberg though!
