Love is inherent in our souls and the way back to God is only through love : "love and all things shall be added unto you." "Be not imprisoned in the jail of "I" and "me". He who hath transcended self, he verily hath attained to the Highest. He hath become Perfect. Such a one knows no difference between the Hindu, the Muslim, the Sikh, the Christian, the Jew, the Buddhist or the Zoroastrian, for God is the Lord of all and in all shines the one picture Divine; we are worshippers of the same Lord." Russell, 2 ways to approach spirituality - inclusive and exclusive. Be aware of God working in everything. If we can see it, it's there and when inner and outer life dovetail then we can go jolly. Story of shopkeeper's son, cow, snake, frog, old woman, little boy, horse, king, magic ring, fairies.  Moral of story - In this world there are many kinds of worship; there are many ways in which you can be kind and loving to the other creatures of the world, and you always get the benefit of doing that. But the greatest kindness which you can do - the greatest mercy which you can have - is the mercy on your own Self - your own soul; and you can do that only by doing the meditation. The heart within which Naam is manifested is the purest of all.
