Seen Differently
by The Podcast with Thomas Voigt
This started as a summer experiment and became the show I'd wanted to make for years. I usually spend my days with revenue leaders rebuilding customer success as AI moves into the function. What I keep learning: it comes down to the leader, how they see, decide and treat their people. When the tasks go, what's left is the human doing the deciding.Guests on 'Seen Differently' show me a new way to look at something I thought I understood. No metrics talk, no playbooks. One idea per episode to carry into your week.Follow me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-voigt

Notice your yes: how you’re built to decide, with Nicole Wallace
Myers-Briggs, Enneagram or StrengthsFinder. If you’ve had a corporate job, you’ve filled in the questionnaire and got the report back. They tell you who you are, which is useful. Human Design was the first one that told me how I’m built to operate, and that landed somewhere different. This episode is an invitation to try it. I sit down with Nicole Wallace, joining from Sydney, who spent 12 years in technology as an implementation consultant and then a solution architect before moving into coaching. She found Human Design after a 25-year relationship ended and she wanted to work out who she was again. What she found in her chart explained a working life she’d spent years apologising for.We get into what Human Design actually is, and what it isn’t. Not prediction, and not a box you’re stuck in. Nicole calls it something to play with, and the test is whether it holds up against your own experience. Then we put our two charts side by side, because they’re almost opposites. I’m an emotional manifesting generator, which means I’m meant to respond rather than initiate, and to sit with a decision through a full emotional wave before I answer. Nicole is a splenic projector, which means she gets a hit of intuition in a split second, and it’s either a yes or it’s nothing. Same table, same question, two completely different routes to clarity. We talk about what happens in a team when nobody knows this about anybody. There’s an honest bit in here about conditioning too. I spent most of my professional life being told I was the one who leads, decides fast, goes first. Looking back at the decisions that actually worked, every one of them was a hell yes I responded to, not a move I initiated. You’ll leave with one experiment for the holidays: notice your yes. Someone asks if you want to do something, and before you answer, you pause and feel what your body did first. That’s the whole thing. Don’t try to get it right, just get curious.Nicole Wallace is a human design practitioner and coach based in Sydney. She also named this podcast, which I’m putting on the record here. Seen Differently began this summer, in 2026, from a simple urge to take a breather and look at work differently. If you want to explore your own Human Design chart, visit Nicole’s website and get it for free.Takeaways1. A read on how you personally reach a decision, and why copying your manager’s way of deciding has probably cost you.2. A way to look at your team that explains why two capable people work at completely different speeds.3. A small experiment you can run this week, on holiday, with nothing to buy: notice your yes.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Human Design03:17 Nicole's Journey to Coaching08:03 Understanding Human Design13:05 The Five Types of Human Design17:54 Manifesting Generators and Their Unique Traits22:53 Decision-Making in Human Design28:01 The Power of Conditioning and Invitation33:22 Simplifying Complex Ideas39:44 Understanding Human Design Profiles40:10 Managing Teams with Human Design45:45 Applying Human Design in Daily Life51:43 Exploring Human Design ResourcesLinksNicole Website - www.nicolewallace.auNicole Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/nicolewallace.auNicole LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicole-wallace-a6460211/Thomas LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-voigtThomas Website - https://thecsconsulting.netThomas YouTube - See Differently - The Podcast with Thomas Voigt

What is actually enough? Find your finish line, with Angela Scott
If you lead in revenue, you’ve spent years being trained to maximise. Up and to the right, always the next target, no real ceiling. It mostly works, until you notice you’re running close to empty and can’t quite say what you’re running towards. This episode is a chance to stop and ask the question most of us skip past: what is actually enough? For your career, for how you lead, and for how you live when you close the laptop. Because ambition without a finish line is just a treadmill, and a lot of us are on one right now. I sit down with Angela Scott, who spent over 20 years in senior go-to-market and client-facing roles before she left corporate life to build her own portfolio career. She now coaches people through this exact question, often when it means leaving a career behind. Angela shares her five pillars for working it out: health, creativity, peace, connection and growth. We get into why so many of us drift onto autopilot (she calls it the lazy river), why saying ‘enough’ has nothing to do with settling, the difference between balance and integration, and two honest questions to carry into the summer. Come for about 40 minutes of proper reflection time, and leave with a clearer read on your own finish line. Angela Scott is a strategic advisor, executive coach and writer, and the host of the Change Unfiltered podcast. Seen Differently began this summer, in 2026, from a simple urge to take a breather and look at work differently. If you want to explore how Angela works with her clients, please reach out to her at [email protected]. Ambition needs a finish line. Enough isn’t settling; it’s choosing your own line instead of running up-and-to-the-right forever. 2. Five pillars to find your enough: health, creativity, peace, connection, growth. Consistency over more of everything. 3. Observe before you change anything, and ask: would you still choose this if no one was watching?Chapters00:00 Introduction: Why 'enough' matters in a stressful world00:27 Angela Scott's background and transition from corporate to coaching01:50 The difference between ambition and 'enough'03:45 How to identify your personal finish line05:03 The trade-offs of leaving corporate life07:03 The autopilot mindset and how it keeps us stuck09:03 Creating meaningful connections beyond surface level10:39 Why we hesitate to ask what is enough11:37 What are clients optimising for in their lives?13:21 The difference between settling and being deliberate14:40 The five pillars: health, creativity, peace, connection, growth18:50 Defining enough in each pillar24:23 The importance of intentionality and reflection27:30 Practical steps to start exploring what is enough33:22 The role of growth and continuous learning38:09 Final thoughts: live deliberately and find your 'enough'LinksAngela LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/angelajscottuk/Angela Instagram - @iam_angelajoyAngela Substack - https://substack.com/@angeleeciAngela Podcast - Change UnfilteredThomas LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-voigtThomas Website - https://thecsconsulting.netThomas YouTube - Seen Unfiltered - The Podcast with Thomas Voigt

How a deck of cards gets you unstuck, with Juliette Modolo
If you’re leading at full tilt, pouring yourself into the next plan for the business, and you’ve reached the point where you’re running close to empty and not sure where to start again, this episode is for you. It’s a different way to grow and to lead yourself: coaching, with a deck of tarot cards as the tool. It works because it lets you set the ego aside for a few minutes. Juliette describes it as a treat, like a massage for the brain, and you come away with more clarity and a bit of inspiration. I’ve started calling it a spa treatment for the mind.We get into what tarot actually is, and why it’s more grounded than its reputation: a spread of printed cards that helps you step out of your own story and reflect on the question you brought. She doesn’t read the future, and there’s nothing supernatural about it. I share how it’s helped me get unstuck this year, and why I think it can do the same for other leaders. You’ll also sit in on a live two-card reading, with a one-minute meditation you can follow, and watch how Juliette builds trust and holds the moment, so you get a real feel for how the method works. You come away with a clearer sense of how you lead, and a practical way to find a fresh perspective on a stuck problem, at work or outside it, so you can show up better for your team.Juliette Modolo is a market research leader I met at GWI, a coach qualified at Cambridge last year, now researching tarot as a coaching tool. Seen Differently began this summer, in 2026, from a simple urge to take a breather and look at us and work differently.Takeaways1. A way to get unstuck that doesn’t ask you to think harder: a reflective tool that quietens the ego for a few minutes.2. A grounded, demystified picture of what tarot actually is as a coaching tool, so you can judge it for yourself.3. A 30-second practice you can do anywhere to get a fresh angle on a stuck problem: look up, let your eye land on something, and ask what it says about your question.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Seen Differently Podcast04:08 Juliette's Dual Life: Research and Tarot Coaching06:27 Understanding Client Needs: Overwhelm and Stuckness08:58 Researching Tarot as a Coaching Tool11:35 Debunking Myths: What Tarot Really Is15:46 The Structure of a Tarot Reading Session20:04 Exploring the Source of Frustration23:37 Gestalt Coaching: The Whole Person Approach27:58 Personal Experiences with Tarot Coaching33:25 Prioritising Personal Values in Leadership34:30 The Therapeutic Nature of Tarot35:44 Live Tarot Reading Experience50:21 Understanding Tarot as a Tool for Self-ReflectionLinksJuliette LinkedIn - https://linkedin.com/in/juliettemodoloJuliette Website - https://jmodolocoaching.comThomas LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-voigtThomas Website - https://thecsconsulting.netThomas YouTube - Seen Differently - The Podcast with Thomas Voigt
