What rules you? As a saved person our relationship with Jesus should rule our everday life.  You have to be intentional, you can't have the Spirit without the Word. 

In this sermon we see how to live the life Christ calls us to. The more we know Him, through scripture and prayer, the more we're able to imitate Him in our daily lives.

Are you believing a lie? Are you discouraged because you believe you can't change? When you accepted Christ and His forgiveness you became a new creation. Because of what Christ has done for you change is possible.

In today's text Paul encourages believers to 'put to death' any behavior that is inconsistent with the resurrected life in Christ.  Keep your mind on Christ, set your attention on things above and it will show in your life. Live a life that reflects Christ and puts off sin that flows from our flesh.   

When you're in Christ, everything else in life is changed! Set your mind on Christ, not the things of this world. 

Quick snow day sermon.  Isaiah 1:18  Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

You're complete in Christ, not complete in rules. Be careful of false practices and false spirituality. Do not judge others or let others judge you by their opinions.  

Paul is telling us to walk worthy of the Lord.  We are rooted and built up in Him.  Established in the faith.  Abounding in it with thanksgiving.  Receive Jesus and live in Christ, let Jesus guide your thinking and your conduct.    *Please note that the original recording of this sermon contained audio irregularities, resulting in some portions being omitted. Brother Bill brings the message today from Philippians 3.  Your purpose in life is to know Him and honor Him.  Know you can trust Him even in the midst of difficult circumstances. 

The presence of the Lord provides hope.  How have you responded to your encounter with Jesus? Do you follow Jesus even when you don't understand? Do you follow with your hope anchored in Jesus Christ?

What was hidden has now been revealed to the saints, which is Paul and now he is revelaing it to us through God's Word. The beautiful mystery is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  When we accept Jesus as our Savior he lives in us, the power of Jesus in us transforms us and allows us to share the gospel, revealing the beautiful mystery to others and growing the church.   

Are you more passionate about Christ or the world? Where do you turn when looking for answers? Christ? or the world?   All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. 

The service begins with Pastor Craig reading the Christmas Story from Luke 2 and Matthew 2.  Then from Colossians 1 we learn how Christmas is not just about the arrival of Glory, but the beginning of Glory's journey on Earth. 

Paul helps us see the reconciling Christ in today's passage.  Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself through His sacrifice.  If you're not living like a Christian but you say that you are a Christian, you need to look inward to figure out what's going on.  Faith produces change, if you're saved, you should seem different. 

He is the living, preeminent one who redeems.  Jesus is our Savior. 

What's your purpose? To walk worthy and be fully pleasing to the Lord. In this section of scripture, Paul shares his prayer for the Colossians: that they may be filled with the knowledge of God and bear fruit in every good work, be strengthened with the power of the Lord for endurance and patience, and joyfully give thanks to the Father who has qualified us for heaven—delivering us from darkness into the Kingdom of heaven through Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul anticipates and declares when Christ lives in us, it transforms our lives as His followers.  Everything is changed or different. Paul thanks God for the faith, love and hope that transforms the folower of Jesus Christ. 

We start a new series on Colossians today.  Christ in You the Hope of Glory: The Indwelling Christ and the Transformed Life An introduction to the book of Colossians and verses 1 and 2.   

Christ is able to save forever.  We need to come to God through Jesus, Jesus intercedes for us. 

Your sins were put on Jesus and His righteousness was put on you. This changes you and how you live your life and see others.  Once we become aware of the love of Christ it compels us, or motivates us to do right, to live for Christ. Now it is our job to share the gospel and the love of Christ.

What if God's blessings in your life are meant to fuel a mission bigger than yourself? Receive God's blessings with a missional purpose Pray for God's grace on us to make it easy to proclaim the gospel Live a life fearing God Be aware of opportunities always and everywhere to spread the gospel

Which name are you living for? We are tempted to live for our own name.  In this Psalm written by David he is asking God to: deliver him from his enemies give him instruction for daily living give him His forgiveness These are all things we need to live a life for God's glory.

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel - Philippians 1:27 Can others see Christ in you?

Do you look around and prasie God? Do you live a life as part of the praise that God deserves? What do we need to do to give God the glory?  

Does your life in Christ ever seem just ok? Looking for a renewal or a restart? Remember God is not finished yet. There are good things to look forward to.   

What blessings or benefits are there for those who follow the Lord? If we know God, we are going to be obedient. If we trust the Lord, we ask how am I to be obedient in this situation? Keep seeking to live in a way that honors the Lord. Be a light in the darkness. 

This psalm shows us why God's work deserves our whole-hearted praise and leads us to live wisely.   

We are all like sheep and Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He provides everything we need.  My Shepherd protects me when I walk through life's toughest circumstances, therefore I do not have to be anxious.  His rod and staff comfort me, He takes care of me in the presence of my enemies. He shields me and He always pursues me. 

We all live for something, are you living for Jesus or your idols? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? Do you know what has captured your heart? Who or what are you serving?  

We read in Psalm 78 today that we must tell the next generation of the Lord's faithfulness.  We need to remember so we don't forget God's Word and His works. His faithfulness.  Remembering gives us the relationship with God that He wants to have with us.  Even though we can be unfaithful, God is not. Tell the younger generation. 

Our mission to to honor God and bring Him glory by finishing the race that God has outlined for us to run.  Be aware of the character of God, read the Bible, get to know Him. Run the race given to you, stop trying to change it to your liking. Continually look to His faithfulness and how He has worked in your life. 

When God seems silent in our suffering, our faith grows. Psalm 77 helps build our faith in the midst of our situations, good and bad. The psalmist shows us how to lean on God. The psalmist cries out all night long, searching for answers. He feels abandoned, but he turns to God and intentionally meditates and remembers the good that God has done. 

God is our refuge and our strength.  No matter the trouble, we do not need to be fearful, God is our ever present help.  He never walks away from us, we can trust God's presence.  Know and rest in the truth that God is your refuge and strength. Pause your worries and fear and recognize the presence of God. 

David shows us how to stand firm in the storms of life. Trust God as your light and salvation, God is with you, there is nothing to fear. Delight in God, seek His guideance and presence. 

Unity among God's people is a beautiful, sacred gift.  When we funcgtion in unity it is a beautiful, sacred gift from God that reflects His blessings to us, which provides life and hope. 

God, Our Father, knows us completely, there is nothing that God does not know.  This is God's omniscience. God is always with us, He comforts us with His presence. This is God's omnipresence. God created us intentionally, he knows all about our strengths and weaknesses, because He made them.  This is God's omnipotence. Take comfort in knowing that God knows us and is always with us. Trust God. 

We only have one life to live, no do overs and we do not know the number of our days.  We should be living for God's glory with whatever number of days we have. Live well, every day counts.  Glorify God, how do you spend time with God? Love well, Share God's mercy and compassion with others around you.  

Universally praise God in voice and action because He deserves it.  Make this summer one of renewal and worship. Observe God's glory and share God with others, intentionally.

David vs. Goliath. David's trust in God is what won the battle, not David himself.  We need to trust God's faithfulness in all our challenging circumstances. The Lord has provided us with the simple tools needed to fight our battles his way. Those tools are His word, prayer, the Holy Spirit, and godly people. Use these tools and trust God's faithfulness. David did and he won the battle. 

The message today is from Deuteronomy 6 verses 1 through 9, part of Moses' farewell address.  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:5 Examine your own faith as you raise your children, you aren't going to give to your children what you do not possess. Love God fully, learn and live God's words, talk about the word and create a godly home. 

What does it mean for a mom to trust God in today's world? What makes it possible to get through the pressures of the day? Faith. The sermon today explores the story of Sarah and her faithfulness. Sarah faithfully trusted God's timing and demonstrated faith in her challenges. Her faith became her legacy.  God's faithfulness is dependendent on His unchanging character not anything that you do. Trust Him.    

In our message today we learn about young Timothy and the advice his mentor, the apostle Paul gave to him.  Three pieces of advice from the message: Be teachable, never think you know more than everyone else. Be bold, use your God-given talents with confidence. Be an example, live a life that honors Christ.

Dead to Sin and Alive to God! After the resurrection you are no longer associated with Adam, you are now identified with Christ. You alive in Christ, not dead in Adam.  Sin is not your master, you are no longer a slave to sin. You now walk with Christ and become known by your righteousness. 

Today we read from John 20, Jesus defeats death and sin in His resurrection. Believe for eternal life. 

The Good Friday sermon.  Pastor recounts the events in John 19 where Jesus is crucified. Jesus received the punishment that each of us deserved. 

This is the fourth sign in the book of John which demonstrates Jesus' power over creation while also emphasizing His compassion.  Jesus is the bread of life, He confronted the people as to what they truly wanted. He knows they do not truly believe.  What kind of bread do you long for? Will you believe in Jesus? 

In Matthew 4 Jesus is tempted after being in the wilderness for 40 days. Jesus in human form is in a very vulnerable place, tired and hungry, but He does not give in to temptation. Jesus obeys and relies on God's Word. This is a demonstration for us, a way to help us when tempations and trials come upon us.   

We read in Matthew 3 today about Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist. Jesus stepped out of obscurity into the way to become our Savior. Jesus teaches us humility by submitting to baptism, the plan of God, and the salvation of the world.   

Paul provides encouragement and instruction to the church in Thessalonica. As believers today we can use this encouragement to help us as we stand under life's pressures. Stand fast, remember what you know and what you have learned from God's Word. Receive God's eternal encouragement and hope while you depend upon His comfort for your inner man and strength to say and do what you need to do.
