58: Think like a Millionaire at 18: What Most People Learn Too Late with Saahil Baxi
In this episode, Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McCloud sit down with Saahil Baxi, an 18-year-old TEDx speaker and host of the Future Millionaires Podcast. Saahil is on a mission to bridge the wealth gap for the younger generation—not just with dollars, but with the specific mental shifts needed to build a life of freedom.Key Highlights:The Early Advantage: Homeschooled and mentored by his father, Saahil started his business journey at 16. He didn't start with a big bank account; he began by cold-calling business owners to offer AI consulting to build communication skills and overcome the fear of rejection. The Power of Intentionality: Saahil stresses that for young people, the superpower isn't how much you invest, but how early you start. Starting at 15 instead of 30 provides a massive 15-year head start that is almost impossible to catch up on later.Natural Empathy as a Superpower: Saahil’s father pointed out that his son has a natural gift for creating a safe space for guests. This empathy allows him to have deep, emotional conversations with millionaires and mentors, proving that his wise-beyond-his-years perspective is his greatest asset.Unlearning Procrastination: For teenagers, Saahil identifies procrastination as the biggest hurdle. If you procrastinate on homework, you will procrastinate on your dreams. He suggests systems for emotional regulation—like evening walks on the beach—to clear the mind and stay on track.Redefining Wealth: For the Baxi family, wealth meant the freedom to create memories, like going to Disney World over 200 times. It is about the "Freedom of Time"—the ability to do what you want, when you want, with the people you love.AI as a Leveler: Saahil encourages his generation to use AI as their next best coach. From learning to draw to building a business plan, the tools at our fingertips leave no excuse for a lack of knowledge.Soul-Shifting Quote: "Action creates clarity, but waiting creates doubt."Rapid Fire Gems:One word: Driven.Book: Rich Dad Poor Dad (Robert Kiyosaki).Presence: Capable.Mirror note: "Action."Final Words: "What you do today can improve all your tomorrows."Connect + Listen:Listen to the Future Millionaires Podcast on Apple Podcasts. 57: From the Struggle Bus to the Money Bus with Coach Sapphire Starr!
In this special episode, the roles flip. Coach Kyle McCloud takes the lead as host while Coach Sapphire Star steps into the guest seat. And it gets real. This isn’t just a conversation. It’s a look at the moments, decisions, and mindset shifts that shaped who Sapphire is today and what she’s building next.Key Highlights:Before the Mission: Sapphire goes back to being a curious 9-year-old mixing “potions” and looking at the stars, already asking, “This can’t be it.” That curiosity never left. It just matured. The Turning Points:A comment from a stranger on a bus while she was a pregnant teen could have broken her. Instead, it lit a fire. Later, a divorce and financial struggle forced another shift. That’s when she realized hustle alone wasn’t enough. She had to learn how money actually works.Unlearning Worth:One of the biggest shifts was letting go of the belief that worth is tied to titles, income, or things. That change opened the door to abundance, not just survival. The Why Behind It All:Her daughter. Plain and simple. Having someone to live for pushed her to keep going, even when things were hard. The Birth of the Money Bus:Inspired by her Aunt Judy’s community work and a deeply personal experience after her passing, Sapphire knew she was meant to build something that served others. What started as an idea for a physical space turned into something bigger. A mobile financial education platform designed to meet people where they are.Trusting the Process:Not fear. Not doubt about whether it would work. The real challenge was trusting herself. Trusting people. Letting others support the vision. Hitting “publish” on a crowdfunding campaign wasn’t easy, but it changed everything. The Bigger Mission:Wealth Builder Savannah and the Money Bus aren’t just about money. They’re about freedom. Time. Choice. Living instead of surviving. And helping people see what’s possible, even if they don’t realize they’re stuck yet.Soul-Shifting Quote:“If I can change one person’s life, I can change a million.”Final Reflection:“What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human.”Connect + Support:SapphireStar.comSupport the mission. 56: What Creatives Need to Know About Contracts, IP, and Ownership with Attorney Paisley Piasecki
Soul Shift Sessions Podcast: Owning Your Creativity – Contracts, IP, and OwnershipIn this high-energy episode of Soul Shift Sessions, host Coach Sapphire Star and co-host Coach Kyle McCloud sit down with Paisley Piasecki, a Savannah-based attorney and creative strategist. Paisley shares her journey from "Big Law" in New York to launching her own multifaceted solo practice, helping creative entrepreneurs navigate the often-intimidating world of Intellectual Property (IP).Key Highlights:The Leap to Solo: Paisley Piasecki discusses her transition from a high-pressure "Suits-style" corporate firm to becoming a freelance legal strategist. She emphasizes the importance of personal fulfillment and health, noting that while Big Law offers incredible experience, the 24/7 unpredictability can lead to burnout.Demystifying IP: Paisley breaks down Intellectual Property as "the things we create." Whether it's a logo (trademark), a course (copyright), or software (patent/trade secret), understanding what you own is the first step to protecting it. Her mantra: "IP is everywhere."The AI Conundrum: A deep dive into the risks of using AI for content creation. Paisley warns that tools like ChatGPT are great for brainstorming but risky for final outputs due to potential copyright infringement and the "uncanny valley" look of AI images. She also highlights the ethical risks for lawyers putting confidential data into AI.Protecting Your Business:Mindset & Independence: As an only child who chose boarding school at 14, Paisley attributes her success to a lifelong sense of independence and the courage to say, "This is not what I want."Soul-Shifting Quote: "The good news is you're on your own. The bad news is you're also on your own. But the good news is that you're on your own." (via Taylor Swift)Rapid Fire Gems:One word: Evolving.Book: The Let Them Theory (Mel Robbins)—a guide to letting go of control in relationships.Presence: Inspired.Mirror note: "New Day"—a reminder that every morning is a fresh start.Final Words: "What we don't need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human."Connect: paisleypiasecki.com | IG/TikTok: @paisleypiasecki | Substack: The Stack Stylist | Savannah Locals: @square25savannahSubscribe, rate, and share if this shifted you—join the tribe at soulshiftsessions.com. #IntellectualProperty #CreativeEntrepreneur #LegalStrategy #SoulShiftSessionsPlease Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud - www.inspirelegacyai.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiry - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

55: When the Body Speaks_ Learning to Listen Instead of Pushing Through with Maria Soprano
Returning friend of the podcast Maria Soprano (Karma Free Living), holistic wellness coach, speaker, and author, joins hosts Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McCloud (Season 3!) to reveal how our bodies are self-healing machines—if we stop silencing them with pills and hustle culture.Key Highlights:Body as Healer: Maria shares her escape from depression, autoimmune issues, and the "pill-diagnosis-side effect" cycle. From her channeled book: "You do not need to beg to be healed. You need to remember that you are the healer." Heal via mindset, food, neural rewiring (meditations, stillness), and listening—headaches signal dehydration/stress, not "pop a pill."Listen, Don't Silence: Symptoms (dry skin, bags, migraines) are communication. Ditch table salt for Celtic/Himalayan (minerals for blood pumping, hydration); save organic seeds to combat GMO tampering. Avoid toxins in deodorant/perfume (lymph node carcinogens). Blue Zones (e.g., Loma Linda) prove: Plant-based, community, purpose, outdoor activity = longevity.Hustle Trap: U.S. stress induces heart disease/diabetes. Travel exposes it—Hawaii/Spain siestas, island calm. Honor body: Daily check-ins ("What do you need?"), rest, hydration. Maria's East Coast trip: Ignored dehydration headache, body rejected Tylenol—forcing magnesium baths/salt.Practical Starts: Body-scan meditation; local farmers over "organic" labels; essential oils over synthetics. Programs like Remember & Reset (launching soon), Rise & Thrive (March, 8-weeks), workshops—build tribe for subconscious/mindset/food healing.Plant-Based Power: Food = communion/energy transfer. Trauma in animal products disconnects from source, breeds disease. Shift to life-giving plants for lightness, calm, "breathing" ease.Soul-Shifting Quote: "Our bodies are beautiful self-healing machines. When given the right foods, mindset, we are healing machines—not broken beings always crying about being sick."Rapid Fire Gems:One word: Flourish.Book: The Surrender Experiment (Michael Singer)—surrender to life's flow.Presence: Inspired, empowered, remembering wholeness.Mirror note: "You got this girl. 54: The Cost of Caring: How Caregivers Heal While Giving
Soul Shift Sessions Podcast: The Cost of Caring – How Caregivers Can Heal While GivingIn this heartfelt episode of Soul Shift Sessions, host Coach Sapphire Star and co-host Coach Kyle McLeod welcome Carla Prayer (Inner Beauty By Design), an 8-year caregiver, self-care coach, speaker, and advocate, to unpack the emotional, physical, and mental toll of caregiving—and how to thrive through it.Key Highlights:Carla's Journey: After closing her 40+ year salon to care for her husband Patrick (diagnosed with mixed Lewy Body Dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's in 2018 after 4 years of symptoms), Carla pivoted to full-time caregiving. She emphasizes holistic self-care (spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, financial) via nutrition, exercise, faith, positive energy, and support groups to handle "shockwaves" without burnout.Lewy Body Dementia Insights: Often misdiagnosed (mimics Parkinson's/Alzheimer's), patients are aware of their decline—unlike other dementias. Advocate fiercely: Research, join groups, update doctors with symptoms, secure healthcare directives/power of attorney. Carla fought for Patrick's diagnosis and helped pass California AB 2047 for better doctor training.Emotional Toll & Healing: Don't go alone—many caregivers die first from isolation. Shift mindset: Protect yourself first (oxygen mask analogy), use positive self-talk ("I can do all things"), borrow others' strength, laugh through hallucinations (hilarious "truck on the fence" story), and find joy in furry companions (Carla's doggy daycare pivot from "no pets indoors" skeptic!).Practical Gems: Warm water/lotions for care rituals; choose hospices wisely (Carla's was "beautiful"); prepare pre-diagnosis (legal docs, finances). Now, Carla coaches caregivers, turning pain into purpose via her upcoming book (August 18, 2026, anniversary release) on her "by design" life from age 5.Pivots & Rewards: From salon chair to self-care coaching and doggy daycare (under 40lbs!), Carla models unconditional love, vulnerability in safe spaces, and openness to change.Soul-Shifting Quote: "You cannot or should not do it on your own... When impacted physically, mentally, and emotionally, don't do it alone."Rapid Fire Gems:One word: Blessed.Books: Boundaries (Bruce Wilkinson), No Matter What (Lisa Nichols).Presence: Bring light, hope, joy.Mirror note: "Girl, you got this. 53: After the Breakdown with Stephanie Calcules
In this inspiring episode of Soul Shift Sessions, host Coach Sapphire Star and co-host Coach Kyle welcome guest Stephanie (Cafcules Consulting) for a raw conversation on reinvention—remembering who you truly are amid life's upheavals.Key Highlights:Catalyst for Change: Stephanie shares her 2019 brain surgery for a benign acoustic neuroma tumor, followed by COVID, depression, and a messy recovery. It forced her to confront people-pleasing, prioritize self over others, and declare, "I can't live like this anymore." Therapy, research, and self-reflection pulled her through.Self-Discovery & Women’s Struggles: Echoing the "put your oxygen mask on first" analogy, they discuss how women often tie identity to roles (mom, wife, worker), sidelining self-care until a crisis hits. Reinvention means serving from overflow, not depletion, to avoid burnout.Parenting a Teen in the AI Era: As a single mom to a 15-year-old with ADHD (like her), Stephanie jokes about co-parenting with ChatGPT for modern challenges—no blueprint, just trial-and-error amid tech, high school drama, and perimenopause.Entrepreneurship Pivot: From corporate "process fixer" (art master's + tech savvy, no coding!) to her backend software consulting biz, she thrives on "working smarter," automating CRMs/project tools, and ditching 9-5 monotony for organized chaos.Life Lessons: Embrace the entrepreneurial rollercoaster (wooden, not steel!), step outside comfort zones (Les Brown vibes), and reject predictability. Rapid fire gems: Books like The Body Keeps the Score (trauma healing) and Art & Fear; daily mirror notes like "Remember who you are" or "Quit negotiating with your intuition."Soul-Shifting Quote: "Reinvention means figuring out who you are again—and remembering who I actually am."Final Words: "Our mind is capable of passing beyond the dividing line that we've drawn for it." 46: What’s Your SOUL Purpose
This episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, titled "What's Your SOUL Purpose," is the season two finale. The hosts, Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud, discuss the concept of soul purpose, self-evolution, and the importance of supporting others.Key topics covered:The Nature of Self and Evolution: The hosts emphasize that individuals are constantly evolving and may never fully "know" themselves, as desires and wants change over time. They discuss the idea that life's "contrast" (experiencing what one doesn't like) helps in discovering what one truly desires.Defining Soul Purpose: Coach Sapphire defines the soul as the essence or spirit, the "fire that burns" inside, and views her soul purpose as living an unapologetically authentic life in freedom and pursuing her passions, with a significant part being service to others. Coach Kyle defines the soul as the innermost part of oneself that is always seeking to align with desired life outcomes. Negative emotions serve as indicators of being out of alignment with one's soul. The Importance of Supporting Others: Coach Sapphire shares that helping loved ones become better versions of themselves, navigate situations, or providing physical labor makes her soul feel good. Coach Kyle discusses the importance of empowering those in his intimate relationships, like his wife and children, to pursue their goals without disempowering them, contrasting this with past experiences where his successes were met with resistance.Mindset and Physical Health: Coach Kyle shares his journey of losing weight, highlighting that a change in mindset about food and paying attention to nutritional labels (specifically sugar and carbs) came before the physical results. He elaborates on how 4 grams of sugar equals a teaspoon and the hidden sugars in common foods like ketchup. The Soul and the Physical Body: The hosts draw a parallel between taking care of one's physical body as the "house for the soul" and the deterioration of a house when no one lives in it. They stress the imperative of understanding what drives the soul for longevity, referencing studies on centenarians in "blue zones" who have a strong sense of purpose and community. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.com Coach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.com Become A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

45: Designing a Life You Don't Need A Vacation From
In this episode of Soul Shift Sessions we have a special guest. Minesh Baxi, an engineer turned author, who made a bold decision to design a life on his own terms after hearing the song "Cats in a Cradle." He chose to leave a traditional career path to work from home, homeschool his children, and prioritize freedom, learning, and family. He has been married for 33 years and has two children, Macy and Sahil, both of whom are entrepreneurs. Minesh has also authored 12 books.Minesh shares his personal journey, explaining how he struggled in his job for 12 years despite his credentials and eventually lost his contract. This led him to ask tough questions about his future, realizing he didn't want to continue in that path. He discusses how he made the decision in 2000 to go full-time into speaking and coaching.A central theme of the discussion is the concept of courage versus conformity. Minesh emphasizes that courage is essential to ask tough questions and take necessary action steps, breaking free from societal norms and expectations. He states that unless one has courage, they will never be willing to take the action step needed to transform their life. The co-hosts further elaborate on how courage is developed and the importance of reaching a "dead end" where one realizes that their current path is not leading them to their desired life. The "three C's" for achieving success are identified as courage, coach, and community, with a fourth "C" being consistency.Minesh also shares an anecdote about his family's numerous visits to Disney World, explaining that it was a deliberate choice to create memories and provide an anchoring "happiest place on the planet" for his children. This also serves as a metaphor for designing a life you don't need a vacation from. The conversation further delves into the definition of success, with Minesh defining it as having a close-knit family, raising children with his values, and empowering them with skills and options to live life on their own terms. The co-hosts add their perspectives, focusing on continuous personal growth and becoming a person who can easily overcome yesterday's challenges. The discussion also touches upon "quantum shifts" and the importance of paying the "price" for success, which includes willingness, preparation, energy, motivation, resources, and skills. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.com Coach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.com Become A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

44: From Surviving to Soul Living
In this episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, titled "From Surviving to Soul Living," coaches Sapphire Starr and Kyle McCloud discuss the transition from merely surviving to truly thriving in life.Key themes include:Defining Thriving: Coach Kyle defines thriving as living without constant stress and anxiety, being present in the moment, and enjoying life to its fullest, even when facing challenges.Mindset Shift: Coach Sapphire emphasizes that moving from surviving to thriving primarily involves a shift in mindset. She highlights how many people are stuck in a "hustle, hustle, hustle" mode, leading to burnout and stress, and that a major life event often serves as a wake-up call.Individual Definition of Thriving: Both coaches stress the importance of individually defining what "thriving" and "success" look like, as it varies greatly depending on personal circumstances, financial motivations, and family situations.Overcoming Limiting Beliefs: They discuss how past experiences and generational conditioning, such as parents working multiple jobs for survival, can instill limiting beliefs that hinder one's ability to truly live and enjoy life beyond just earning an income.Importance of "What's Important to You": The core question to begin the shift from surviving to thriving is identifying what is truly important to oneself. This serves as a "north star" or "guiding light" for making conscious choices and setting goals.Action and Accountability: The coaches encourage taking small, consistent steps and holding oneself accountable to a plan. They highlight that focusing on small wins throughout the journey is crucial for developing and maintaining momentum.Community and Alignment: They emphasize the significance of aligning with like-minded individuals and communities to support one's journey. Being surrounded by people who understand and encourage personal growth can make the process feel less heavy and more empowering.Embracing Challenges and Imperfection: The discussion touches upon the idea that life will inevitably have its "valleys" and challenges, but these experiences contribute to growth and development. They advocate for embracing imperfections and not taking oneself too seriously.Choice and Reality: The video concludes by reiterating that choosing to focus on what is hoped for and what is working, rather than solely on current problems or perceived realities, is a deliberate choice. Not making a choice to change means choosing to remain in an undesirable situation. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.com Coach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.com Become A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

43: The Portal is You: “Unlocking the Divine Code Within” with Maria Soprano
This episode of the Soul Shift Sessions Podcast features Maria Soprano discussing her new book, "Decoded: The Portal is You, Awaken the Architect Within." The conversation delves into her personal journey of healing from severe depression and addiction, which ultimately led her to a profound spiritual awakening.Key themes and discussions in the video include:Inner Wisdom and Healing: The core message is that the answers and healing we seek are not external but reside within us. Maria shares her experience of overcoming addiction by recognizing and trusting this inner guidance.Divine Intervention and Guidance: Maria recounts a pivotal moment of divine intervention during her lowest point, which initiated her journey of following an inner "stir" or impulse. This guidance led her to pack up her life and travel cross-country, and eventually to channeling her book.Sacred Geometry and Creation: Inspired by a show about Albert Einstein and the Fibonacci sequence, Maria discovered sacred geometry and its connection to creation, realizing that everything is made of symbols and patterns. The Book "Decoded": Maria explains that the book, channeled over two weeks in April, was not intentionally sought but came through as a means to awaken consciousness in others. She emphasizes that it's encoded to awaken readers to their higher power.Accessibility of Channeling/Guidance: The book states that the ability to connect with one's higher self is not special to Maria but is accessible to everyone who learns to quiet their mind and listen to their inner stir.Meditation and Stillness: The hosts and Maria discuss various ways to achieve stillness, from traditional meditation to physical activities like hiking or cycling, as a means to quiet external noise and connect with internal guidance.Ego's Role: Maria clarifies that the ego is not inherently bad but serves as a guide when individuals forget their divine self. As one remembers their divine nature, the ego's role diminishes, replaced by guidance from the higher self through joy.Book Release and Access: "Decoded: The Portal is You" is set to be released on August 8th (Lion's Portal), with a 48-hour free Kindle download available until August 10th on Amazon. A pre-sale with a 10% discount is available by signing up on Maria's website, karmafreeliving.life.Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.com Coach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.com Become A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

40: Relationship Rewrites- Communicating Through Change
In this episode, "Relationship Rewrites - Communicating Through Change," hosted by Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud of Soul Shift Sessions, discusses the complexities of communication within various relationships, especially during times of change.Key Discussion Points:The Myth of Safe Spaces in Relationships: The hosts challenge the idea that relationships always offer a completely safe space for expressing every thought and feeling. They highlight how vulnerability can sometimes be weaponized, leading to regret for having spoken up.Challenges of Expressing Feelings: The conversation delves into the difficulty of creating safe spaces to discuss feelings without judgment, especially when partners might be "keeping tally" of perceived wrongdoings. They discuss how expressing oneself can sometimes feel like a personal attack to the recipient, even if not intended that way.Communication Beyond Words: The hosts emphasize that effective communication encompasses more than just verbal exchanges; it also includes body language, mannerisms, and understanding. The Impact of Expectations and Past Trauma: The discussion touches on how attaching expectations to the outcome of vulnerable conversations can lead to disappointment. Coach Kyle shares his personal experience of silence being weaponized against him in his youth, making it challenging for him to not take silence personally in current relationships.Relationships and Personal Evolution: The hosts stress that individuals change over time, and expecting a partner to remain the same person they were years ago is unrealistic and unfair. This change can sometimes lead to questioning whether one has outgrown a relationship. The Importance of Benefit of the Doubt and Intention: They suggest that giving the benefit of the doubt is an underrated concept in relationships. Focusing on the intention behind communication, rather than just the words or actions, could lead to less tense moments.Character vs. Circumstance: Sapphire highlights the importance of a person's character as a consistent foundation in a relationship, more so than transient aspects of their personality or behavior. However, they also acknowledge that people often present a "representative" version of themselves initially, and true character emerges in various circumstances. The "Explosive" Side and Grace: The hosts discuss the human tendency to sometimes let their "lower self" or "Kurt" (an explosive side) emerge, and the importance of allowing space for this without judgment. They conclude by emphasizing the need for grace in personal transformation journeys and the continuous nature of improving communication skills. The podcast aims to offer tools and insights for effective communication in all types of relationships, from intimate partners to family, friends, and colleagues. They encourage listeners to be courageous and vulnerable in their conversations. Please Like, Comment, & Share! She emphasizes the importance of regulating breath, connecting with the body, and asking what the body is communicating to identify and address these physical manifestations of emotion. Sapphire shares her personal story of experiencing unexplained shoulder pain that was eventually linked to maternal trauma, which she healed through breathwork, yoga, and open communication with her mother and daughter.Transforming Pain into Purpose: Fatima recounts her personal journey of transforming a life filled with darkness and trauma—including abandonment issues, sexual violence, and self-harm (cutting) for 10 years—into a source of strength and purpose. She discusses her transition from harmful coping mechanisms to discovering Buddhism, meditation, yoga, and spiritual practices, which led her to mindfulness and self-responsibility. She learned to flip her trauma responses to help others, particularly in disaster relief and police brutality work, where her past experiences allowed her to endure and navigate traumatic situations without being triggered.Vicarious Trauma: The concept of vicarious trauma is discussed, defined as trauma experienced by those witnessing others' trauma, such as police officers, first responders, social workers, and therapists. Sapphire shares her experience with vicarious trauma as a clinical laboratory scientist during the COVID-19 pandemic, witnessing the overwhelming number of deaths and the emotional toll it took on healthcare workers.COVID-19 and Healing: The conversation touches upon the collective trauma of COVID-19 and the importance of addressing mental health and wellness during and after the pandemic. 37: Soul Shift For The Modern Man!
This episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosted by Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud, delves into deep transformative conversations about shifting one's mindset to transform life. The hosts discuss themes of personal growth, overcoming challenges, and the journey of self-discovery.Key topics include:Transforming the Mind for a Transformed Life: Coach Kyle introduces a book on masculinity, "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover," which breaks down men into four archetypes. The book emphasizes the importance of the "boy" dying for the "man" to emerge, highlighting issues like the "high chair king" behavior seen in adult men.The Concept of "Rights of Passage": Coach Kyle shares his personal "right of passage"—a challenging 140-mile bike ride. He recounts pushing through intense pain and the realization that stopping was not an option, leading to a breakthrough where the pain subsided. This experience taught him to not let pain or past traumas prevent him from pursuing his goals.Understanding Transformation: For Coach Kyle, transformation means becoming different than before—in beliefs, behavior, and not being controlled by past limitations. He uses the analogy of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, where parts of the old self remain but the outer being gains new abilities.Overcoming Barriers and the "Breakthrough": The hosts discuss that true growth often comes from pushing through barriers and the idea that "on the other side of a breakdown is a breakthrough." They emphasize that perseverance often leads to success, even when one feels close to giving up.The Journey vs. The Outcome: Coach Sapphire highlights that the true value is not in achieving the goal itself (like finishing the 170-mile ride), but in "who you are becoming as a result of stretching yourself beyond your comfort zone." The joy is in the journey and the lessons learned. The Illusion of Being Lost: Coach Sapphire recounts her challenging pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, where she felt lost in a forest during a torrential downpour, only to realize she was exactly where she was supposed to be. This illustrates how the mind can create a sense of being lost even when one is on the right path.Trusting the Process and Community Support: The conversation concludes with the importance of trusting the process and surrounding oneself with a supportive community that can see one's potential even when they cannot see it themselves. Please Like, Comment, & Share! 35: The Return of B. Mo. Raw: The Grand Celebration Continues!
The video features Brandice B. Mo Raw, a wellness and lifestyle brand owner, who shares her experiences and insights on self-discovery, healing, and personal transformation. Here's a summary of the key points:Introduction of Brandice B. Mo Raw: She is the founder of Be More Raw, a brand focused on authenticity, intention, and joy, known for her "Art of Sacred Selfishness" experience. She has over 20 years of expertise in hospitality and personal transformation.Journey to and from Los Angeles: Brandice recounts her six-month and six-day experience in LA, where she initially fell into a depression. This period, however, became a crucial chapter for "remembering how I heal myself and help others heal." She realized she had neglected her self-care routines and rituals. The Importance of Meditation and Self-Care: She emphasizes the necessity of consistent meditation, noting her own streak of 97 consecutive days using the Insight Timer app. She and the hosts discuss that nobody is "impervious" to life's challenges like depression and that continuous self-care and "recalibration" are essential for maintaining well-being.Analogy of Recalibration: The hosts use the analogy of scientific instruments and even personal bikes needing daily or periodic recalibration to maintain optimal performance. They connect this to human beings needing to "recalibrate" their routines and check in with themselves, especially when changing environments, as external factors like climate and vibration can impact us.Experiences and Opportunities in LA: Despite the initial challenges, Brandice highlights several positive experiences:Family Tragedy and Healing: Brandice shares the personal impact of her aunt's passing and her mother's pacemaker surgery, which led her to return home. During this time, she experienced a profound healing related to her subconscious belief that there wasn't "room" for her at her mother's house since she left at 17. This led to a new "rawism": "You can always go home"."Speaking Your Life" and Manifestation: A significant part of her story involves her desire to "see how they work" on the set of Abbott Elementary. This casual statement led to her getting booked as a background actor on the show and appearing in three episodes of season 4. She attributes this to "speaking your life" and the universe aligning things when one is in a state of gratitude, even during grief.Letting Go and Moving On: After her positive experiences, she decided to leave LA, realizing "that's enough". She explains that sometimes one needs to know when to let go to avoid being "dragged". She also reflects on how she moved away from submitting for background acting gigs because the constant rejection was not aligning with her dreams.Stay Ready: Brandice emphasizes the importance of "staying ready" by sharing a story where she was prepared for a comedy show opportunity even without a follow-up confirmation, leading to her opening the show and even being asked for an autograph.Connection and Purpose: The conversation concludes with a discussion about predetermined paths and connections, with the hosts reflecting on how their own "random" encounters led to their current collaboration and how they are drawn to people who are "progressing in life."BMoRaw - www.bmoraw.comPlease Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

33: Being Transformed in Untransformed Spaces!
The "Soul Shift Sessions" podcast episode, "Being Transformed in Untransformed Spaces," discusses the challenges of personal growth when surrounded by people or environments that haven't changed. The hosts use the movie "Remember the Titans" as an example. The hosts mention the quote, "just because we're blood doesn't mean we're related", emphasizing that as adults, continuing to be around certain people is a choice. The discussion also emphasizes the importance of personal maintenance for transformation, comparing it to a car needing oil changes and fuel. However, unlike in childhood games, adult resets involve significant progress and stakes.Choosing Your Path Powerfully: The hosts stress the importance of choosing a path and pursuing it with conviction, whether it means persevering or deciding to reset. This involves evaluating risks and committing to a decision without regret.Business vs. Relationships: The discussion delves into whether resetting is easier in business or personal relationships. When to Reset: Before fully resetting, it's advised to attempt troubleshooting and salvaging existing investments. A crucial question to consider is whether the current direction aligns with one's overall vision.Personal Experiences with Reset:Age and Community: The hosts underscore that age is not a barrier to resetting, providing examples of individuals who embarked on new ventures later in life. They also emphasize the vital role of community and support in facilitating these resets.Fear vs. Quitting: A distinction is made between operating with fear, which can be managed, and the overwhelming nature of simply quitting without any plan to restart. The Power of Saying "Yes": Articulating a "yes" to a reset is considered the most challenging yet pivotal step, as it establishes intent and aligns one's mindset for action.Mindset is Key: The overarching message is that a fundamental shift in mindset is paramount for a successful reset, as it paves the way for subsequent emotions and actions. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

29: Tying Effort to Self Worth
This episode of the Soul Shift Sessions Podcast, titled "Tying Effort to Self Worth," features coaches Sapphire Starr and Kyle McCloud discussing the concept of self-worth not being tied to effort or external achievements.Key discussion points include:Introduction to Soul Shift Sessions: The hosts introduce themselves and the podcast's goal of deep, transformative conversations.Coach Kyle's Role: Kyle describes himself as the "coach's coach," emphasizing his enjoyment in helping others shine and connecting people. Sapphire further elaborates on his role as a "great facilitator."The Nest Quote: Kyle shares the quote, "The nest is safe, but that's not what the wings are for," highlighting the importance of venturing out.Mindset and Self-Worth in Speaking: Sapphire discusses a book called "Speak Your Way to Cash" and her personal limiting belief about her worth as a speaker. She realized her story empowers others and people will pay to hear it, emphasizing that unique experiences hold value.Belief + Action = Result: The hosts stress that belief alone is not enough; action is crucial for achieving results, using the analogy of Mindset, Belief, and Action (MBA).Worthiness and Self-Acceptance: Sapphire shares a quote from Brené Brown: "We do not have to justify our existence. We are worthy now as is." This is reinforced with a cake analogy, where the cake (you) is good as it is, and external efforts are just "icing."The Fallacy of Comparison: The discussion shifts to the irony of comparing one's unique story to others and how it can diminish perceived value. They emphasize that every story is valuable and needs to be heard.Trauma and the American Experience: Kyle asserts that experiencing trauma is almost inevitable in America, especially for people of color, citing personal experiences of growing up in different environments.Slavery and the Work Ethic: Sapphire attributes the ingrained tendency to work harder under pressure, even to burnout, to the historical trauma of slavery, where survival was tied to backbreaking labor. This mindset, she argues, was perpetuated through generations, and the idea that "the harder you work, the more successful you will be" is a fallacy.Finding Value Beyond Effort: Sapphire shares a personal story of hitting rock bottom, realizing that her worth was not tied to accolades or material possessions. She found joy in simple things, understanding that her inherent value remained regardless of external circumstances. The Importance of Understanding History: The hosts discuss how understanding history, particularly the trauma of slavery, is crucial for healing and shifting mindsets for Black Americans, a luxury not always afforded to them.Coexistence and Respect: The conversation highlights the importance of discussing diverse experiences and coexisting respectfully without challenging others' realities or perpetuating negativity.Final Quote: Kyle concludes with a quote: "People sometimes fail to live because they're always preparing to live," encouraging listeners to embrace life now. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

28: Small business corner-juggling life, love, & your business
In this episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosts Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McCloud discuss the challenges of juggling love, life, and professional responsibilities, particularly for small business owners and entrepreneurs. They emphasize the importance of setting boundaries and practicing self-care to avoid burnout and maintain overall well-being.Key takeaways from the discussion include:Time Management and Boundaries: The hosts stress the necessity of establishing clear cut-off times for work, even for entrepreneurs passionate about their businesses. They advocate for time blocking not just work tasks but also personal development and self-care activities.Prioritizing Self-Care: Coach Sapphire Starr shares her personal ritual of "Me Time Friday," a dedicated day for self-care that started 20 years ago. This practice, which has evolved from a couple of hours to a full day, is non-negotiable for her and helps her reset and be a better version of herself for others. The Importance of Physical Activity: Coach Kyle highlights how physical activity is often the first thing to go when stress levels rise, and emphasizes its role in quieting mental noise.Saying No: The hosts discuss the power of saying "no" as a complete sentence and the importance of understanding one's desires and priorities to align decisions with a life by design.Vulnerability and Support Systems: The conversation touches on the societal pressure, particularly on men, to always appear "fine" and the difficulty of showing vulnerability. They advocate for therapy as a safe space to process emotions and discuss challenges. They also emphasize the value of having a sounding board or a "tribe" of people to confide in, but caution that not everyone can handle deep vulnerability. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

26: Small Shifts for a Big Impact
The Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosted by Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McCloud, focuses on transformative conversations to empower individuals to elevate their mindset, break through limitations, and create their desired life. This episode, "Small Shifts for a Big Impact: Creating Consistent Habits to Transform Your Life," emphasizes the importance of mindset and taking action to achieve goals.Key takeaways from the discussion include:Belief and Action: Coach Sapphire Star highlights that believing in something isn't enough; it must be followed by action. She emphasizes the need to be radical and even "delusional" in one's beliefs to stretch beyond perceived limitations.Moving Forward from the Past: While acknowledging that past experiences shape who we are, the hosts discuss the importance of not dwelling on past regrets or negative emotions and instead focusing on what can be done today to move forward.Positive Thinking and Perspective: Coach Sapphire Star stresses the necessity of positive thinking for success in business and life, reframing negative experiences as opportunities for growth and shifting direction. The Power of Systems and Automation: Drawing from her background as a clinical laboratory scientist, Coach Sapphire Star explains how she applies the concept of standard operating procedures and systems to her business for consistent results and automation, emphasizing working on the business rather than in it. This allows for time and location freedom.Small Habits and Compounding Effects: Inspired by "Atomic Habits," Coach Sapphire Star notes that small habits don't just add up, they compound exponentially, becoming second nature over time. This is likened to watering a seed daily to cultivate growth.Environment and Conditions for Growth: Coach Kyle uses the analogy of a peace lily to illustrate how environment and conditions are crucial for thriving. This translates to being surrounded by like-minded people and creating conducive environments for personal and professional growth.Freedom in Business and Delegating: Coach Kyle expresses a desire for freedom from the day-to-day operations of his business, aiming to work on it rather than in it. He discusses implementing systems, learning to delegate, asking for support, and confidently saying "no" as crucial shifts to achieve this freedom.Time Cataloging and Revenue Generation: Coach Sapphire Star introduces the concept of time cataloging—a time audit where one lists activities, identifies revenue-generating tasks, and notes whether they enjoy them. This helps in minimizing non-conducive activities and delegating non-revenue tasks.Merging Passion and Revenue: The discussion concludes with ideas on combining personal passions with revenue generation, such as creating networking opportunities around hobbies like cycling, and leveraging existing resources (like an Airbnb property for a book launch) to market business endeavors. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

24: Breaking Free from Trauma with Julie Stevens
Julie Stevens—a somatic spiritual healer and coach and founder of the Urban Retreat Center in Oakland—helps people heal PTSD and trauma by regulating the nervous system through somatic practices, shamanic/Andean-informed ritual, and carefully facilitated plant-medicine work. Interviewed by hosts Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McCloud, Julie traces her journey from an “intense,” overextended life in the early 2000s through a breaking point marked by a severe panic attack and family losses (her mother’s Alzheimer’s and passing, selling her business just before the pandemic, then her father’s death). That period catalyzed deep healing: long-term work with shamanic healers, craniosacral and hands-on therapies, coaching, and practices received through plant medicine.Core themes:Mind–Body–Spirit unity: Somatics is the bridge—healing must include the body and the nervous system (vagus-nerve calming, “shaking off” survival stress like animals do) rather than talk alone.Dark and light as necessary contrast: Growth happens “in the roots,” the unseen/“dark” places; culture often conditions fear of darkness, yet it’s where integration occurs.Ancestral work with joy: Honor lineage (not only pain). Julie cites learning from a spiritually gifted grandmother and calls for reclaiming ancestral joy alongside trauma healing.Science meets spirituality: Energy precedes matter; psychedelics can enhance neuroplasticity, aligning subjective spiritual insight with brain-change mechanisms.Daily practice: “Spiritual” = returning to Stillness repeatedly; look within, cultivate willingness, and let timing be “divine.”Resources & offerings mentioned:Books she’s reading/recommends include My Grandmother’s Hands and a work by Rev. Deborah Johnson (described as channeled teachings).A 12-week program for women, Homecoming: Zoom-based teachings on nervous-system healing plus an in-person plant-medicine retreat.Contact: UrbanRetreatCenterOakland.com; Instagram: @TheRealJulieStevens.Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

23: Finding Your Soulmate
The "Soul Shift Sessions Podcast" hosted by Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud, begins its second season with an episode titled "Finding Your Soulmate." The hosts discuss the misconception of what a soulmate is, referencing a dictionary definition that describes a soulmate as someone with whom a deep, natural connection, profound understanding, shared values, and compatibility are felt. This connection can be romantic, a close friendship, or someone who significantly impacts one's life positively, emphasizing that it's not exclusively romantic. The conversation delves into the idea that one can have multiple soulmates and that a soulmate relationship should involve a sense of safety and vulnerability. They debate the expectations placed on soulmates, particularly regarding holding space for vulnerability without judgment or cutting off the relationship. The hosts also explore the distinction between a romantic partner and a soulmate, acknowledging that a successful romantic relationship may not always be with a soulmate, but rather with a "person" based on shared values and partnership. They then discuss how to find a soulmate, emphasizing the importance of self-love and self-awareness as the first step, as discussed in their previous episode "The Greatest Love of All." Building community, being vulnerable, and having the freedom to be okay if a soulmate relationship changes or ends are also highlighted. The hosts reflect on their own partnership, noting how their collaboration on the podcast exemplifies a soulmate-like connection through shared goals and mutual support. The conversation also touches on the concept of whole individuals coming together to create something new, rather than two halves seeking to complete each other. They share personal anecdotes, including an experience with a friend who quickly identified one host as a "brother," illustrating a deep, immediate connection. They also briefly discuss the role of modern religion and ancestry in understanding connections, noting how energy transforms and how past generations can influence current experiences. They discuss how it has served as a "North Star" for Kyle, providing weekly therapeutic conversations, and how it has fostered the growth of their relationship and provided valuable insights from their guests. They highlight memorable moments and guests from the season, including Dr. Tiffany Harris's quote, "You lose if you don't win," and Aisha's story about the power of pivoting. They also recall B Mo Raw's wisdom on "letting people live their lives" and the universe "conspiring in your favor."The central theme of the episode is self-love, which they define as a verb and a choice, emphasizing its action-oriented nature rather than just an emotion. They discuss how their upbringing and culture have shaped their understanding of love, particularly in matriarchal societies where love is often shown through actions rather than words. Kyle shares Brené Brown's definition of love, which highlights vulnerability, spiritual connection, trust, respect, kindness, and affection, concluding with the idea that "we can only love others as much as we love ourselves."They delve into the challenges of self-love, such as negative self-talk and the tendency to blame others as a discharge for discomfort. The hosts emphasize that self-love is a daily practice, much like renewing one's mind, and requires questioning one's thoughts and feelings without fighting them. They also discuss the importance of surrounding oneself with supportive communities, even virtually, to maintain a positive mindset, sharing personal anecdotes about finding their "friends in my pocket" through online communities. The episode concludes with a powerful message about prioritizing oneself, especially for those who constantly put others first, and the importance of recognizing when someone's "best isn't for you." 18: Releasing What No Longer Serves You!
The "Releasing What No Longer Serves You!" episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosted by Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud, focuses on identifying and letting go of beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve one's personal growth and well-being.Here's a summary of the key points discussed:Identifying What No Longer Serves You: The hosts emphasize the importance of identifying what makes one feel bad, recognizing that many beliefs are programmed from society, culture, and family from a young age. They discuss how past experiences, even traumatic ones, can lead to the adoption of behaviors that might have served as protection at one point but are no longer necessary. The Role of Emotions as a Guidance System: Emotions are presented as a guidance system to determine if something is empowering or disempowering. Feeling disempowered often stems from judgments about oneself or judgments absorbed from others.Shifting from Survival Mindset to Abundance: Coach Sapphire Starr shares her personal experience of being in a constant "hustle" and "survival" mindset due to past experiences as a teen mom, even when abundance was evident. She highlights how an external perspective helped her realize she was "okay" and shift from chasing to attracting. The Concept of "Chasing": Kyle McCloud expands on "chasing" beyond finances to include chasing worthiness, desired love, or avoiding becoming like someone else, emphasizing its deep impact on behavior. The Importance of a Supportive Tribe/Community: Having like-minded people who support and are not afraid to offer honest feedback is crucial for identifying what no longer serves you. The concept of "permission" is introduced, suggesting that individuals grant permission to certain people to contribute to their lives based on respect and credibility.Credibility and Evidence: The hosts discuss how credibility is established through demonstrated behavior and evidence, whether in financial matters (like credit scores) or personal advice. Kyle shares an anecdote about establishing credibility as a Microsoft Excel trainer through a quick demonstration.Proactive Release through Goal Setting and Intentions: The discussion shifts to proactively releasing what doesn't serve by setting goals and intentions for the new year. They emphasize the need to be clear about what one wants, as focus dictates energy flow and attracts desired outcomes.Questioning Everything and Taking Action: The main advice given is to question every belief and ask whether it is serving you. This includes challenging societal conditioning, personal rules (or "brules" as per Vishen Lakhiani), and even religious beliefs. Taking action on these insights is presented as the third crucial step.Impact of External Factors on Personal Views: The conversation touches on how laws and external influences can shape individual views on ethics and morality, even if those views might not truly serve them. The Podcast's Purpose: The hosts highlight that Soul Shift Sessions aims to spark conversations, encourage deeper thinking, and offer opportunities for critical thinking and mutual elevation through shared stories. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

17: Change Your Location, Change Your Life!
In this episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosts Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud discuss how changing your surroundings can transform your life.Key takeaways from the discussion include:The Inspiration: The topic arose from a previous podcast conversation about Maria, a guest who experienced a significant life change after moving from New York to California, even living in a mansion while homeless. This story exemplifies how a change in location can lead to a complete shift in one's life.Personal Stories of Transformation:The Importance of Inner Change: The hosts stress that while changing location is powerful, the most crucial change often needs to happen within oneself. When you make internal changes, you attract like-minded people and supportive communities.Relationships and Evolution: The discussion touches on how relationships change as individuals grow and evolve. Holding onto old relationships simply "to maintain a record" can be detrimental if there isn't mutual growth. Entrepreneurs, in particular, are constantly evolving, and this can create divergence in relationships if partners don't grow together.Advice for Making a Change:The hosts conclude by reinforcing that every journey is unique and comparing oneself to others is unhelpful. Just as certain trees only grow in specific environments, sometimes a different location, temperature, or environment is necessary for you to flourish. Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

16: The Power of Empathy
The Soul Shift Sessions podcast episode "The Power of Empathy" explores the nuances between empathy and sympathy, sharing personal interpretations and discussing the impact of empathy on relationships and personal well-being.Key points from the discussion include:Defining Empathy vs. Sympathy: The hosts initially try to define the terms. Sapphire uses Brené Brown's analogy of a "pit" to explain that sympathy is feeling sorry for someone from a distance, while empathy is actively joining them in their struggle, regardless of shared experience.Personal and Google Definitions: They contrast their views with Google's definitions, which describe sympathy as expressing concern and empathy as understanding and sharing feelings through a deep emotional connection. Kyle, identifying as an empath, believes empathy requires feeling what others feel, whereas Sapphire emphasizes the action of walking with someone through their difficulties. The Power and Challenges of Empathy: Kyle views empathy as a superpower that fosters compassion and deeper understanding. Both hosts acknowledge the challenge of being an empath, especially in crowded spaces, and discuss the importance of setting boundaries, summarized by the advice "care but don't carry."Cultural Context in Communication: They delve into how language and body language are culturally conditioned, influencing how emotions are perceived and potentially misinterpreted.Choosing Empathy and Setting Boundaries: The discussion extends to universal connectors like music and sports. They then emphasize "choosing empathy" and giving others the benefit of the doubt, drawing from Brené Brown's idea that believing people are doing their best can transform interactions. However, they also conclude that it is acceptable to set boundaries when someone's "best" is not conducive to one's own well-being.Please Like, Comment, & Share!About us - www.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starr - www.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloud- www.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guest - www.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness inquiries - [email protected] us on IG - @soulshiftsessions

11: You Are Enough!
In this episode of the "Soul Shift Sessions Podcast," titled "You Are Enough!", hosts Coach Sapphire Starr and Coach Kyle McCloud engage in a transformative conversation about self-worth, vulnerability, and personal growth.Kyle shares his journey of realizing he was "hustling for his worthiness," a concept he learned from Brené Brown's work, particularly her audiobook "The Power of Vulnerability." He explains that this hustle manifests as trying to fit in and constantly replaying past arguments, feeling the need to "win" to prove his worth. He connects this behavior to his childhood experiences of being bullied and feeling unsafe, leading him to make himself "invisible."Sapphire relates to this, sharing her experience of building emotional barriers after a toxic marriage, realizing it blocked not only pain but also love, acceptance, and healing. They discuss how these coping mechanisms, while serving a purpose in the past, can become an "invisible prison" that prevents desired outcomes, like finding a relationship. The conversation shifts to the importance of aligning actions with desires and creating space for what one wants. They emphasize that while intention and manifestation are important, action is crucial. Kyle highlights the role of "feeling" in this process, using the analogy of a basketball player feeling "in the zone."Towards the end, Kyle shares a pivotal moment from a men's retreat with Mike Reese where a "mirror work" exercise led to a profound conversation with his "own soul," freeing him from the need for external validation. Sapphire expresses her appreciation for Kyle's vulnerability, especially as a Black man, and emphasizes the importance of men giving themselves permission to feel. They conclude by reinforcing the message that "you are enough."Please Like, Comment, & Share!About uswww.soulshiftsessions.comCoach Sapphire Starrwww.sapphirestarr.comCoach Kyle McCloudwww.coachkylemccloud.comBecome A Guestwww.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness [email protected] us on IG@soulshiftsessions

10: Expand Your Territory! How to Think Big in Life
In this episode of the Soul Shift Sessions podcast, hosts Coach Sapphire Star and Coach Kyle McLoud discuss what it means to "think big" in life. They begin by defining "thinking big" as having no limits and thinking beyond current perceptions. Coach Kyle shares a personal anecdote about how his idea of "big" evolved from his college choices to working in Bermuda, where he saw how students there had the whole world as their option for university. This illustrates that "thinking big" can simply mean expanding your territory beyond your current circumstances or pursuing what sets you on fire, even if it's settling down and enjoying family. They challenge the societal notion, especially perpetuated by social media, that a family-focused life is meaningless. The discussion then shifts to the importance of action and learning from setbacks. Coach Kyle shares his experience from a challenging bike ride, highlighting how his mindset influenced the outcome and the importance of hydration. Coach Sapphire adds that she approaches experiences with a "learn attitude," turning perceived losses into wins because she gains knowledge. They emphasize that "thinking big" is a cultivated process, like planting a seed that needs nurturing and weeding out negative thoughts. A key question to ask is, "What do you want?" They urge listeners to focus on this desire without judgment, imagining how it will feel and consistently moving towards it.The hosts also discuss the influence of adversity in fueling bigger picture thinking and the danger of living in scarcity by constantly focusing on external factors rather than personal beliefs and goals. They reiterate the importance of continually asking "What do I want?" as individuals are always evolving, and how sometimes societal influences can cloud one's true desires. Finally, they highlight that playing big is bigger than oneself, influencing lineage, community, and even the world. Coach Sapphire shares how her desire for freedom of time and finances has created a legacy for her daughter and grandchild, showing them they are not bound by their surroundings and can pursue their dreams. They conclude by encouraging listeners to reflect on their desires and how they can play big, emphasizing that the world needs them to do so.Please Like, Comment, & Share!About uswww.soulshiftsessions.comBecome A Guestwww.soulshiftsessions.comBusiness [email protected] us on IG@soulshiftsessions
