On top of that, it also functions based on zero-sum thinking: that for you to succeed, someone else has to lose. Although these sound like a load of baloney, we're all mirroring these patriarchal mindsets. That, in turn, keeps us in a debilitating cycle of nostalgia. So you stay in a perpetual state of want to prevent yourself from getting the things you desire. That's because patriarchy has brainwashed us to think we need to prove ourselves in order to affirm our self-worth. In this episode, I'll get into why the complete opposite is true. In fact, making women think they're the chasers rather than the choosers goes against the matriarchal nature of human beings. When we sit back and let people prove themselves to us, we trigger a very basic psychological need for validation. I call this being an anus and shifting the onus. Annoying, yes. Useful, also yes.In this episode, I break down a simple psychological formula that turns mansplaining into a strategic advantage. Because it’s time to stop playing fair in an unfair world. When you understand the psychology behind why someone feels the need to explain everything to you, the dynamic DRASTICALLY changes. Instead of shutting them down, you guide the conversation, lower their guard, and steer the interaction where you want it to go.Smart women don’t get mad. They redirect a mansplainer’s impulse to explain into leverage. This episode explains the same elicitation techniques used by intelligence professionals in agencies like the FBI and CIA. These methods help investigators gather information without triggering defensiveness. The same principles apply in everyday conversations, at work, in dating, and in social settings.I’ll discuss:The elicitation technique used by intelligence agencies to gather informationThe three-step formula that turns mansplaining into a strategic advantageThe psychology behind mansplainingHow to lower someone’s guard so they reveal more than they intendedHow “nice girl” conditioning trains women to give away their powerWhy strategic communication is not manipulationTimestamps:0:00 Intro3:30 How to use elicitation on mansplainers9:10 Unlearning “nice girl” grooming19:07 Join the Patreon20:54 The psychological formula33:41 Is this manipulative? If you get ads at the beginning of this episode, add ~3 minutes to the timestamps__________🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. Why the biological clock is a damaging patriarchal myth

Free preview available here. You won't believe what I'm about to tell you. Women don't have a "biological clock." That term was coined by journalist Richard Cohen in his misogynistic 1978 article "The Clock Is Ticking For The Career Woman." This article hits the two Ps (pseudoscience and patriarchy) and does what these silly Ps do best: rush women into motherhood and shame them for prioritizing their careers. In the words of Kesha, "Tik tok on the clock but the party don't stop." Because for women, the party truly doesn't stop. That's why humans are one of the only mammals with menopause. In fact, research is finding that MEN have a biological clock, and it begins ticking around age 35.Sources:A Look at Your Fertility TimelineAndrology: Cumulative conception rate following intrauterine artificial insemination with husband's spermatozoa: influence of husband's ageEve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human EvolutionFertility and the Aging MaleIncreasing paternal age is associated with delayed conception in a large population of fertile couples: evidence for declining fecundity in older menThe 300-year-old fertility statistics still in use today Volitional determinants and age-related decline in fecundability: a general population prospective cohort study in Denmark__________🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. The 5 love languages: Genuine advice or Christian control in disguise?

📚 AND don't forget to get your copy of How to Hack the Patriarchy on Amazon or get a signed paperback, PDF, or EPUB directly from me. Free preview available here. Most people think the five love languages are a pop psychology phenomenon. However, they're not rooted in psychology at all. The origins of the five love languages are closer to the Bible than to science, and they were never made as a tool to help women in their relationships. That's because they were created by Baptist preacher Gary Chapman, a man who's trained in Biblical counselling. His background involves no scientific or psychological training. The crazy thing is, that isn't even the most problematic part.I read Chapman's book, The 5 Love Languages, and in this episode I critically dissect his theory from a feminist lens in a way no one's ever done before. I'll discuss:The conservative & misogynistic origins of Biblical counsellingHow marriage counselling originated as a form of eugenics (& how this agenda found its way into the church)The sexist examples Chapman uses in his book, which shatter his credibilityThe HUGE problem with Chapman's sample (hint: they're all white, Christian, traditional couples)How the love languages map out PERFECTLY to the 5 points of Calvinism (a control-based branch of Protestantism that forms the foundation of Biblical counselling)Whether there's a better alternative to the love languagesSources:Awful '50s Marriage Advice Shows What Our Mothers And Grandmothers Were Up AgainstThe Biblical Counselling MovementThe “love languages” are a hoax by a Southern Baptist pastorThe Surprising History of Marriage Counselling __________🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. A woman's "gossip" were her close friends, and female friendships were a form of social power that gave women's lives fulfillment and security. It all became topsy turvy in the 16th century, when the church combined forces with labour guilds (you'll see what I mean). That's when gossip became demonized into something malicious, aggressive, and bitchy. Because patriarchy and early capitalism needed quiet, subservient women in order to function. In this episode, we'll discuss:Why patriarchy & controlling men are so scared of female friendshipsThe violent history of silencing womenHow men continue to silence womenThe role of gossip in human evolutionHow to reclaim gossip in your life starting todaySources:Gossip in Evolutionary PerspectiveThe Feminist Origins Of GossipThe scandalous origins of gossipWitches, Witch-Hunting, and Women__________🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. On top of that, there’s so much fear instilled in us: “Who’s going to take care of you when you’re old?” “Your biological clock is ticking!” “Who’s going to protect you?” “You’re happy now but what about when you’re 50 and alone?”There’s only ONE thing guaranteed in your life: your relationship with yourself. So why is it that so many women are terrified of being alone? In this episode we discuss:How patriarchy uses tools like urgency and fear to spook us into dependence and distractionThe difference between being single and being sovereignWhy fearing being alone is a way of living on borrowed time4 ways to deprogram our fear of being alone✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. In this podcast, I help women exploit the system's loopholes while finding the hidden ways the patriarchy conditions us to leak our power. Because guess what? Rinse & repeat in the next life.Babes, true delusion is accepting a life someone else decided was “right” for you.You know how many people told me I'm delusional, unrealistic, and crazy for wanting to quit my corporate job to start a podcast? Every time you choose YOURSELF, you kick patriarchy in the balls [pt. 5/5]

Patriarchy’s biggest fear: women’s choice. In episode 5 of my 5-part series on patriarchy and capitalism’s toxic partnership, we uncover why choice is the real revolution—the one thing power can’t monetize. From work to marriage to money, control only works when women stop choosing. Because at the end of the day, it’s all a fight over the world’s most valuable resource: women. These systems exist to distract us from that simple fact. This finale connects every thread we've pulled in the last four episodes to show how real freedom begins when women realize their power and wake up from the trance of consumerism. We don't need to spend money or perform labour to prove our worth. We're already worthy. If you’ve followed this series from the start, this is the closing argument: if patriarchy is the cell, women’s choice is the radiation that kills it.Tags: women’s choice, patriarchy explained, feminism, capitalism, gender roles, women and power, feminist podcast, empowerment, modern feminism, gender inequalityAbout the podcast: Patriarchal power runs like software. Freedom looks different when you have to buy it.In episode 4 of my 5-part series on patriarchy and capitalism’s toxic partnership, we uncover how capitalism rebranded servitude as female empowerment. From the post-Reagan era to the rise of influencer feminism, the system sold women “freedom” that still serves profit. While men have to make money to prove their worth, women are taught to spend money to prove theirs. Neoliberalism turned independence into consumer identity. Being "nice" describes someone who is polite and pleasant to be around, focusing on surface-level interactions and social harmony. It's a performance. It's how the patriarchy grooms us for exploitation and disrespect, because the nice girl is taught to that being liked is more important than being respected.Being mean is the opposite of that -- it's prioritizing being respected more than being liked. (& I don't mean acting like Regina George.)In this episode, we discuss:What it means to be meanWhy being mean is a form of self-protection & self-preservationThe 2 main reasons why people will use guilt, shame, and punishment to force you into being niceAn example of one of my fave historical baddies who was successfully mean✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. Calling yourself a "high value woman" isn't empowering

You're not a Pokemon or some kind of collectible, but the wrong type of people will see you as a commodity, something to collect. In this episode, we discuss why the term "high value woman" is not only icky, but counterproductive. Like most things in this world, we can't do what men do and expect the same result. This also goes for labels men use to try and prove their worth.About the podcast: Patriarchal power runs like software. Once you understand its code and where its bugs are, you can easily hack it. Inspired by The 48 Laws of Power, The Baddest Bitch in the Building is the first and only podcast discussing how to hack the patriarchy by teaching thousands of women how to:Use the patriarchy's loopholes to your advantageUnlearn the invisible conditioning keeping you smallStop letting guilt and shame control youNo longer feel depleted in your relationships Apply psychological strategies to get what you wantUnderstand human nature so well, you'll always winAbout Neeki: I earned my Bachelor’s in Public Policy with High Distinction and went on to complete my Master’s in Political Science, both at the University of Toronto. Girly law of power #26: Stop being so available

We've been bamboozled into thinking that the more we're present and the more we prove ourselves, the more people will respect us. This is a load of crap. The truth is that the more people see you, the less they notice you. They'll take you for granted and respect you less. In this episode, we'll discuss:The most valuable form of giving (that you're probably doing too much of)Why we've been conditioned to think that more presence = more respect How strategic absence relates to supply & demand, and how you can use this to your advantageHow to use absence, fantasy, and mystery to increase respect✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. The truth about online "divine femininity"

Being a woman is a gift, it's the highest form of being. Everything exists because of a woman, and we should celebrate and love ourselves unconditionally.Lately, there’s been a wave of online “divine femininity” content that looks empowering at first… but it’s really patriarchy dressed up as spirituality. It tells women that to be “in our feminine” we need to sit back, receive, and let men lead, provide, and decide. In this episode, I discuss:Why “divine femininity” online is just old gender stereotypes repackagedHow it twists real spiritual and philosophical traditionsThe difference between actual empowerment and limiting labels like “feminine” vs. “masculine”If you’ve ever scrolled past those videos about “being in your feminine” and felt something was off, this episode is for you.🌸 IG: @baddestbinthebldg💓 TikTok: @baddest.b.in.the.bldg💘 Collabs/partnerships: [email protected]🔐 Unlock bonus episodes & join our private community on Patreon💌 Subscribe to The Baddie Brief, a 1-minute read to give you a little reminder of a hack from one of the girly laws (that you prob forgot), delivered twice monthly on Fridays💄 Want a discount on clean makeup from an Indigenous-owned brand? Girly law of power #25: Treat excuses as data, not truth

"People never do something just once" - Robert GreeneThere's no such thing as an isolated incident, because people's actions are always part of a pattern of behaviour. However, the patriarchy made us believe the complete opposite, because accepting excuses keeps power where it is. The patriarchy is based on repetition: people repeat the same behaviours, institutions repeat the same patterns, cultures repeat the same stories. The thing is, excuses are data, they reveal so much info!!! They're breadcrumbs people leave behind because they're not careful in covering their tracks...In this episode, we'll discuss:The reason why no one does something just onceA TEXTBOOK example of this (Chr*s Brown)How accepting excuses creates a false realityHow this ties into people pleasing & other ways women have been conditionedCommon excuses used in relationships + the workplace, and the data you can gather from them✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. Why people pleasing traps you in mental poverty

People pleasing is rooted in superstitions like "If I give everything, then I'll finally be enough" and "If someone likes me, then I'll finally like myself." This way of thinking puts us in mental poverty, which keeps us trapped in survival mode. It's perfect for people who want to exploit our lack of boundaries, and it's harmful for us in every way.🌸 IG: @baddestbinthebldg💓 TikTok: @baddest.b.in.the.bldg💘 Collabs/partnerships: [email protected]🔐 Unlock bonus episodes & join our private community on Patreon💌 Subscribe to The Baddie Brief, a 1-minute read to give you a little reminder of a hack from one of the girly laws (that you prob forgot), delivered twice monthly on Fridays💄 Want a discount on clean makeup from an Indigenous-owned brand?
