The Becoming Her Podcast with Jessica Young

Welcome to The Becoming Her Podcast with Jessica Young.I’m so glad you’re here.A little about me — I’m someone who’s deeply passionate about helping women grow into the strongest version of themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. Faith is the center of everything I do, and through coaching, fitness, and the conversations I’ve had with women over the years, I’ve seen how much our mindset, our habits, and our relationship with God shape the direction of our lives.I’ve also learned that a lot of us feel the same things at different points in life — stuck, overwhelmed, unsure of where we’re going, or feeling like we were made for more but not knowing how to get there. That’s exactly why this podcast exists. Each week we talk about real life — faith, mindset, discipline, relationships, confidence, health, and personal growth — the things that truly shape the woman you’re becoming.

Let’s Talk About What’s Really Holding You Back

What do you do when you’re asking God for direction… and He feels silent? And what if the thing you keep calling “waiting on God” is actually fear keeping you from moving? In this episode, we’re talking about both sides of faithfulness—the seasons when God has made the next step clear but we’re afraid to take it, and the seasons when we genuinely have no idea what He’s doing.Because faithfulness doesn’t always look like a huge leap of faith.Sometimes it looks like moving when God says move.Sometimes it looks like staying when He says stay. And sometimes it looks like continuing to show up, seek Him, and steward what He’s already placed in your hands when you can’t hear Him at all.You don’t need a five-year plan to be faithful today. You don’t need to feel God to trust God.And you don’t need to know where He’s taking you to keep walking with Him.Maybe the question isn’t always, “God, what am I supposed to do next?”Maybe it’s:“God, how can I be faithful with what You’ve already given me?”And when He says wait—wait faithfully. When He says move—get your feet wet.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next. For more, connect with me on social media @jessica_young09💡 If you’re ready to go deeper and start building real confidence and discipline in your life, you can apply for coaching here: https://forms.gle/DpeuFgd9pusyYoe58Join my FREE online Bible Study: https://www.skool.com/rooted-in-the-word-4259/about

Hey You - Survival Mode Is Not Your Normal

Hey you—when did being exhausted, overwhelmed, and barely keeping up become normal? So many of us are living with a performance mindset that tells us we have to get everything done, do everything right, show up for everyone, and somehow hold it all together at the same time. And when we can't?We convince ourselves we're failing. In this Hey You episode, we're talking about perfectionism, the pressure we put on ourselves to constantly perform, and why giving yourself grace doesn't mean lowering your standards.I have conversations with so many people who tell me they're just trying to survive right now. They're burnt out, overwhelmed, running on empty—and they've been living that way for so long that survival mode has started to feel normal. But you were never meant to become comfortable living depleted. You don't have to earn rest. You don't have to accomplish everything today. And doing your best doesn't mean doing everything.Maybe you don't need to push harder.Maybe you need to give yourself enough grace to be human, take care of yourself, and recognize that your worth was never supposed to be measured by how much you can carry.Survival mode may be a season you walk through. It was never meant to become the life you settle for.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Do You Actually Know Who You Are?

I've been reflecting a lot lately on the last few years of my life—who I was, what I've walked through, what I've lost, what I've learned, and most importantly, who I've become through all of it.And it led me to a question I think all of us need to ask ourselves:Do you actually know who you are?Not what you do.Not your job title. Not your relationship status. Not who other people expect you to be.Not the version of yourself you've learned to perform for everyone else.Who are you?In this episode, I'm getting personal about seasons of my life when I didn't know who I was or where I was going, and how my relationship with God has completely changed the way I walk through uncertainty now.Because here's what I've realized:Walking through the unknown in darkness is immensely harder than walking through the unknown in the light with the Lord.I still don't have everything figured out.I don't know exactly what the next few years of my life will look like. I don't know every door God is going to open or every direction He's going to take me.But there's a huge difference between not knowing where you're going and not knowing who you are or Who you're walking with. We're talking about identity, uncertainty, outgrowing old versions of yourself, learning who you are outside of your accomplishments and circumstances, and what changes when your identity becomes rooted in God instead of everything around you.Maybe you don't need God to illuminate the entire road ahead.Maybe you just need enough light to take the next step with Him.You don't have to know exactly where you're going to walk confidently in the light. You just need to know Who you're walking with.Reflection Question:If everything you use to describe yourself was stripped away—your job, accomplishments, relationships, appearance, success, failures, and other people's opinions—would you still know who you are?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You - Life Isn't Meant to be Easy

Hey you—maybe the prayer isn't always, “God, make this easier.”Maybe sometimes it's, “God, make me stronger.”In this Hey You episode, I'm getting vulnerable about living with an autoimmune disease, the ways it affects my everyday life, and the perspective I've had to develop through the harder seasons.I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I don't believe God is punishing me, and I don't blame Him for the life I've been given.Have I been angry? Absolutely. Are there things I wish I didn't have to deal with? Of course. But I've never believed my life was supposed to be easy.I've learned to make adjustments, keep moving forward, and trust that God is with me through all of it.Because hard doesn't mean impossible. And sometimes instead of asking God to remove the thing in front of us, we need to ask Him for the strength to walk through it.Maybe you don't need an easier life. Hey You — Maybe You Went Through It So You Could Help Someone Else Through It

Hey you… maybe the things you’ve gone through weren’t meaningless after all.In this episode, I share a personal story about being there for a girl after she passed out and how that moment reminded me of something really important: sometimes the very things we’ve struggled through become the reason we’re able to help someone else when they need it most.A lot of us spend so much time questioning why we went through certain seasons, heartbreaks, struggles, failures, anxieties, or painful experiences that we completely miss the possibility that God may use those very moments to strengthen us, shape us, and eventually allow us to show up for other people in ways we never could have otherwise.Your pain may not have felt fair.Your struggle may not have made sense at the time. But maybe your story isn’t just about you.Maybe God allowed you to walk through certain battles because one day someone else would need the version of you that survived them.Nothing is wasted when God is involved. If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — Boundaries Protect Your Purpose

Hey you… remember all those promises you made to yourself at the beginning of the year? The habits you wanted to build. The boundaries you said you’d finally set.The version of yourself you were determined to become.Maybe you stuck with it.Maybe you didn’t.But one thing I realized earlier this year is that growth doesn’t happen just because you want it to. Sometimes the reason we keep falling back into old patterns is because we never protected the very things we said mattered to us.In this episode, I’m talking about boundaries, discipline, self-respect, and the reality that if you want to build a different life, you have to start protecting your peace, your time, your mindset, and your purpose differently.Because not everyone deserves unlimited access to you.Not every environment is healthy for you.And not every habit aligns with where God is trying to take you.The only way I was able to start taking my growth seriously was by realizing that my purpose needed protection. And honestly? Yours does too.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Why Are You Rushing Through What You Prayed For?

I've been thinking about how quickly the things we once prayed for can become the things we barely notice anymore. We pray for the opportunity, the relationship, the stronger body, the business, the new season, the open door… and then somewhere along the way, it becomes normal. We stop saying, “I get to,” and start saying, “I have to.”And before we know it, we're already asking God for what's next.In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about how easy it is to rush through the life we're currently living because we're so focused on where we're going next.We talk about the ten lepers and the one who came back to thank Jesus, why answered prayers can quietly become expectations, how our phones and constant comparison make it harder to be present, and what Jesus' life teaches us about slowing down enough to actually notice the people and moments in front of us.And we're also talking about ambition—because I don't think wanting more is the problem. You can have big dreams. You can set goals. You can pray for what's next. But you can also learn to be grateful for what's here.Maybe the goal isn't to stop looking forward.Maybe it's to stop looking forward so much that we forget to look around. In this episode, we talk about:• how quickly answered prayers can become normal• why we're constantly rushing toward the next thing• what the ten lepers teach us about gratitude• how Jesus modeled presence instead of hurry• the impact of our phones, comparison, and constant distraction• how gratitude and ambition can coexist• learning to trust God with tomorrow while actually living todayBecause there may be something in your life right now that a younger version of you begged God for.Don't rush through it.Don't let it become invisible simply because it became familiar. And don't wait until something becomes a memory to recognize that it was a blessing.Reflection Question:What in your life today was once something you prayed for?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — An Internal Problem Will Never Be Fixed Externally

Hey you… maybe the reason you still feel stuck has nothing to do with your circumstances.I originally recorded these thoughts back in January, but listening to them now, they still feel just as relevant — because so many people are waiting for external things to fix what’s actually happening internally. We convince ourselves that a new relationship, more money, a different environment, more attention, more success, or a different season of life will finally make us feel whole, confident, peaceful, or fulfilled. But no external change can fully heal an internal struggle. In this episode, I’m talking about mindset, healing, self-awareness, and the uncomfortable reality that sometimes the thing keeping us stuck isn’t what’s happening around us — it’s what’s happening within us.Because if you don’t address the internal battle, you’ll carry the same pain, fear, insecurity, or emptiness into every new season you step into. You don’t need a completely different life to start changing.Sometimes you need a different mindset, deeper healing, and the willingness to finally face what’s happening inside of you.Growth starts internally first.

Why Does Nothing Ever Feel Like Enough?

I've been reading Ecclesiastes lately, and honestly... I can't stop thinking about it.Solomon had everything most of us spend our lives chasing—success, wealth, recognition, pleasure, accomplishments, and wisdom. Yet after experiencing it all, he came to a surprising conclusion: none of it was enough. That made me ask a hard question...What am I chasing? In this episode, we're talking about why we keep believing the next achievement, relationship, paycheck, or milestone will finally satisfy us, why the finish line always seems to move, and what Ecclesiastes teaches us about finding lasting fulfillment. We'll also connect Solomon's search for meaning with Jesus' conversation at the well, exploring why temporary things leave us thirsty while God offers something deeper. In this episode, we talk about:• what Ecclesiastes teaches us about success and fulfillment• why "enough" always feels just out of reach• the difference between chasing satisfaction and finding contentment• how our identity can quietly become attached to our accomplishments• what truly lasts when everything else fadesMaybe the question isn't, "What's next?"Maybe it's, "What have I been asking to satisfy me that was never meant to?"Reflection Question:What have you been chasing, hoping it would finally make you feel whole?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — If Life Were Fair, Jesus Would’ve Never Gone to the Cross

Hey you… I know life feels unfair sometimes. It’s hard watching other people receive the things you’ve been praying for while you sit there wondering why your own life feels stuck, delayed, or painful. It’s easy to start comparing, questioning God, or feeling like somehow everyone else is moving forward while you’re standing still. But something hit me recently:If life were truly “fair,” Jesus would have never gone to the cross for me.Grace was never fair.Mercy was never fair. And thank God it wasn’t.In this episode, I’m talking about comparison, disappointment, waiting seasons, and learning how to trust God even when life doesn’t look the way you thought it would.Because sometimes we become so focused on what feels unfair that we completely miss the fact that God has already given us something we could never earn on our own.Your timeline may look different.Your season may feel heavy. But different does not mean forgotten. And just because life feels unfair right now doesn’t mean God has stopped working in your story.

Honest Question... What Are You Waiting For?

Lately, I've been realizing how much of life can be spent saying, "I'll be happy when..." or "I'll finally start living when..."Whether it's waiting for a new job, a relationship, better health, financial freedom, or the answer to a prayer, it's so easy to believe that life begins in the next season. But what if we're missing the life God has already placed right in front of us?In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about why we're so focused on what's next, how our culture has conditioned us to always chase the next milestone, and why I believe God wants to meet us right where we are—not just where we're hoping to be.We'll talk about the Israelites in the wilderness, Mary and Martha, and what it means that God introduced Himself as the great "I AM." Together, we'll explore why gratitude only exists in the present, how social media fuels our obsession with "more," and why the season you're trying to rush through may actually be the one where God is doing His deepest work.Because maybe today isn't the waiting room.Maybe today is your life.In this episode, we talk about:• why we're always chasing the next season of life• how comparison and social media keep us from being present• what the Israelites teach us about trusting God in the wilderness• why Jesus modeled a slower, more intentional way of living• how to stop postponing joy and start recognizing God's faithfulness todayIf you've been feeling like life won't really begin until something changes, I hope this conversation reminds you that God isn't waiting for your future to meet you. He's with you here.In this season.Today.Reflection Question:What part of your life have you been postponing until "someday" that God is inviting you to embrace today?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — Are You a Swimming Fish or a Dead Fish?

Hey you… the way you think about your life matters more than you realize.A negative mindset will keep you stuck in fear, doubt, insecurity, frustration, and low expectations for your life. Eventually, the thoughts you constantly entertain start shaping the way you see yourself, the way you move through life, and the kind of future you believe is possible for you.But the opposite is true too.A healthier mindset, a hopeful mindset, and a mindset rooted in growth, faith, and possibility can completely change the direction of your life over time.In this episode, I’m talking about the power of mindset, the importance of protecting your thoughts, and how the energy and perspective you carry daily affect your life more than most people realize. But I also want to remind you of this: you do not need to be perfect to start changing your life.Growth doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from consistency, awareness, and learning how to stop speaking negativity over yourself every single day.You become what you repeatedly believe. So be careful what you continue agreeing with in your mind.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Are You Pointing the Finger at God?

Lately I've been stuck on a question that has completely challenged me:Are my hands open to God... or are they pointing fingers at Him?When life doesn't go the way we planned, it's so easy to start asking, "God, where were You?" or "Why did You let this happen?" And while I believe God can absolutely handle our questions, I also think it's worth asking ourselves what posture we're bringing to Him in those moments. In this episode, we're talking about the difference between bringing our pain to God and blaming Him, why disappointment can quietly change the posture of our hearts, and what it really looks like to trust God when we don't understand what He's doing. We'll also look at Martha and Mary's different approaches to Jesus, one of the most honest prayers in Scripture—"I believe; help my unbelief"—and why God isn't asking us to have perfect faith. He's simply inviting us to keep coming to Him with open hands.Because maybe the greatest obstacle isn't that God isn't speaking.Maybe it's that our hearts have become too closed to receive what He's trying to show us.In this episode, we talk about:• the difference between questioning God and blaming Him• how disappointment can change the posture of your heart• what Martha and Mary teach us about approaching Jesus• why trust begins where understanding ends• how to keep your hands open to God, even in difficult seasonsIf you've been disappointed, confused, waiting on God, or struggling to understand what He's doing in your life, I hope this conversation reminds you that God isn't asking you to have all the answers. He's inviting you to keep coming to Him.Reflection Question:If you were honest today... what posture have you been bringing to God?If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs the reminder. And if you're working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you're following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — God Can't Fill Hands You Won't Open

Hey you… maybe the reason you feel stuck isn’t because God isn’t listening. Maybe it’s because you’re still holding on too tightly. We pray for healing, growth, freedom, purpose, relationships, opportunities, and breakthrough — but so many of us struggle to actually let God into the places that need to change because we’re consumed by fear, doubt, control, or old attachments. It’s hard to receive from God when you’re walking around with closed hands. In this episode, I’m talking about surrender, doubt, spiritual strongholds, and the reality that before the promises of God can fully be received, some ties to the enemy have to be broken first.Because sometimes the thing blocking your breakthrough isn’t God withholding something from you — it’s the fear, habits, mindsets, distractions, or attachments you’re still refusing to release.God can’t fully move through hands that are too busy gripping control. If you’ve been praying for change while still struggling to let go, I hope this episode reminds you that surrender isn’t weakness — it’s trust.Open your hands.Open your heart. And let God do what needs to be done.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Can We Talk About Why We Treat God Like a One-Hit Wonder?

Can we talk about something?I think a lot of us treat God like He's a one-hit wonder. We celebrate the prayers He's already answered, the miracles He's already done, and the ways He's been faithful in the past… but the moment we walk into a new season of uncertainty, we start wondering if He's forgotten about us.I've caught myself doing this too.In this episode, we're talking about our tendency to forget God's faithfulness when life gets hard, why we have such short spiritual memories, and how quickly we let fear become louder than everything God has already done in our lives. We'll also talk about the difference between remembering God's miracles and remembering His character—because miracles may look different from season to season, but God's character never changes.Maybe the reason you're struggling to trust God today isn't because He's changed.Maybe it's because you've forgotten how faithful He's already been.In this episode, we talk about:• why we have "spiritual amnesia" in difficult seasons• why we remember our problems more than God's provision• how fear causes us to forget God's faithfulness• why God isn't a "one-hit wonder"• practical ways to remember what God has already done in your lifeIf you've been questioning God lately, waiting on an answer, or wondering if He's still working, I hope this conversation encourages you to look back before you look ahead.Sometimes the greatest reminder of God's faithfulness isn't found in what's next. It's found in remembering where He's already brought you from.Reflection Question:What has God already done in your life that you've forgotten to thank Him for?If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs the reminder.

Hey You — Even Leaders Need Leadership

Hey you… frustration does not mean you’re failing. One thing I’ve been learning lately is that great leaders and strong people learn how to sustain ambition even in the face of frustration. And honestly, that’s easier said than done.Because frustration can make you question everything. It can make you feel discouraged, emotionally exhausted, and tempted to give up on the very things you once felt called to.But something else I’ve realized is this: leaders still need leadership.Strong people still need support. And trying to carry everything alone will eventually wear you down.In this episode, I’m talking about what it feels like to keep showing up while frustrated, why having people to talk things through with matters more than we realize, and how growth becomes so much harder when you isolate yourself.Even the people pouring into others need someone pouring into them too.I also open up about the importance of coaching, guidance, and having the right people around you in seasons where your mindset, ambition, and emotions are being challenged.Frustration is part of growth. But you were never meant to carry it all by yourself.

Can We Talk About Why We Neglect the Bodies God Gave Us?

Can we talk about something?I think somewhere along the way, we've accidentally separated our faith from our health. We pray for more energy, more time, more discipline, and for God to use us in bigger ways… but we often neglect the very body He gave us to carry out that purpose. And no, I don't believe God cares about your health because He wants you to look a certain way.I believe He cares because He loves you.In this episode, we're talking about why your health is so much bigger than weight loss, why taking care of yourself isn't vanity, and how stewardship, consistency, and honoring your body can actually be an act of obedience.Because God didn't create our bodies to be worshipped… but He also didn't create them to be ignored. We'll talk about the pressure to be perfect, how diet culture has distorted our perspective, and why sustainable habits matter more than extreme transformations. Most importantly, I want to remind you that taking care of yourself isn't selfish. It's stewardship. In this episode, we talk about:• why God cares about your health• why health is bigger than weight loss• how your body is part of your purpose• why consistency matters more than perfection• how diet culture has distorted our view of health• why taking care of yourself is an act of stewardship, not vanityIf you've been struggling to prioritize yourself, this is your reminder that your health matters—not because of how you look, but because of the life you've been called to live.Your body is part of your purpose. And maybe taking care of yourself isn't about changing your body at all.Maybe it's about honoring the life you've been given.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — This Leprosy Is Not Your Legacy

Hey you… this leprosy is not your legacy. That phrase hit me deeply after hearing it in a sermon because for so long, I allowed other people’s opinions, labels, and perceptions of me to shape how I saw myself.I believed what people said about me.I carried shame from past mistakes. And I started identifying with old versions of myself that God was trying to heal me from. But just because you’ve gone through something doesn’t mean it’s supposed to define the rest of your life.In this episode, I’m talking about letting go of the labels people placed on you, breaking free from the shame tied to your past, and learning how to stop carrying an identity that God never intended for you to keep wearing.Your struggle is not your identity.Your mistakes are not your future. And what hurt you does not get to name you forever. This leprosy is not your legacy.

Let's Talk About What Happens After the Mountaintop

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to feel close to God, inspired, motivated, and excited when you're at a conference, retreat, church event, race weekend, or surrounded by people who are pushing you forward? But then you come home. The event ends. The excitement fades. The routine returns. And suddenly you're left wondering how to carry everything you experienced back into everyday life.In this episode, I'm sharing some thoughts I've been processing after returning home from Summer Smash and why I think so many of us spend our lives chasing mountaintop moments instead of allowing God to transform us in the ordinary days.Because the truth is, the event isn't what changes your life. What you do when you get home does. We're talking about motivation, discipline, emotional highs, spiritual growth, and why God isn't just present in the exciting moments—He's present in the quiet, ordinary ones too.If you've ever come back from a trip, conference, retreat, church camp, race, or major life experience feeling inspired but unsure how to carry it forward, this conversation is for you.In this episode, we talk about:• why we become addicted to motivation and inspiration• the difference between emotional highs and real transformation• why growth happens after the event ends• how to steward what God teaches you in mountaintop moments• finding God in ordinary, everyday lifeSometimes we're so busy looking for the next breakthrough that we forget to live out the last one.Maybe the next season of growth isn't found at another event.Maybe it's found in what you do when you get home.If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you're working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you're following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — Are You Following God, or Expecting Him to Follow You?

Hey you… are you truly following God, or are you asking Him to follow the life you already planned out for yourself?A lot of us say we trust God, but deep down we still expect Him to bless our timeline, our plans, and our version of how life is supposed to go. Then when things don’t work out the way we wanted, we become frustrated, disappointed, confused, or even angry at God.But what if the problem isn’t that God failed you? What if He’s simply not following a plan He never created in the first place? In this episode, I’m talking about surrender, control, disappointment, and the uncomfortable reality that following God sometimes means letting go of the version of life we thought we wanted.Because real faith isn’t asking God to walk behind your plans. It’s trusting Him enough to follow wherever He leads. If you’ve been frustrated with where life is going lately, maybe this is your reminder that God sees a bigger picture than you do.And maybe where He’s leading you is better than where you were trying to go on your own.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — Why Do We Trust Planes More Than God?

Hey you… isn’t it crazy how easily we trust a plane to take us somewhere we’ve never been, but we struggle to trust God with our lives? We’ll book flights, pack our bags, and confidently travel to places we’ve never seen before without fully understanding how we’re getting there. But the moment God starts leading us into unfamiliar territory, we panic, overthink, doubt ourselves, and start questioning everything. In this episode, I’m talking about trust, fear, uncertainty, and why so many of us are tempted to give up the moment life feels unclear or uncomfortable.Just because you can’t see the full picture doesn’t mean God isn’t leading you somewhere beautiful. If you’ve been feeling discouraged, exhausted, or unsure about where your life is headed, I hope this episode reminds you that faith was never about having all the answers — it was about trusting God enough to keep going anyway. You don’t need the full map.You just need to trust the One guiding you.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — The Enemy Attacks Through Your Thoughts

Hey you… the enemy loves to attack your mind.If you’ve been struggling lately, feeling mentally exhausted, discouraged, overwhelmed, or close to quitting, this episode is for you.A lot of the battles we fight don’t start around us — they start in our thoughts. The enemy loves confusion, negativity, fear, comparison, overthinking, and anything that keeps you feeling defeated, distracted, or disconnected from God.And the truth is, what you’re taking in every day matters more than you think. The music, the conversations, the content you consume, the constant negativity, the comparison online — all of it affects your mind and opens the door for thoughts that were never meant to stay there.Just because a thought enters your mind doesn’t mean it belongs there. And just because you think something doesn’t make it true.In this episode, I’m talking about protecting your mind, changing your perspective, and learning how to stop letting negative thoughts convince you to quit on yourself or the life God is calling you into. You’re not losing the battle. You just need to stop feeding the lies.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Hey You — Let God Interrupt Your Plans

Hey you… maybe the interruption is happening for a reason.Sometimes we get so focused on our own plans, timelines, and expectations that we don’t realize God is trying to redirect us into something better. In this episode, I’m talking about what it looks like to let God interrupt your life — even when it’s uncomfortable, unexpected, or doesn’t make sense in the moment.A lot of the time, we see interruptions as setbacks, delays, or closed doors. But sometimes the very thing frustrating you is actually God protecting you, growing you, or leading you somewhere you never would’ve gone on your own.If life has felt uncertain lately, if your plans aren’t working out the way you expected, or if you feel like God is shifting something in your life, I hope this reminds you that His interruptions are never without purpose.Sometimes the interruption is what changes everything.

It can make you feel guilty, disconnected, frustrated, or even like your faith isn’t strong enough. But the truth is, doubt doesn’t mean your faith is broken. In this episode, we’re talking about what doubt actually looks like, why it happens, and how so many people silently struggle with fear, disappointment, comparison, unmet expectations, and the pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about the difference between faith and certainty, why questioning things doesn’t make you a bad Christian, and what it looks like to trust God even when you don’t fully understand what He’s doing.Because sometimes faith isn’t about having all the answers.Sometimes faith is choosing to trust God anyway. In this episode, we talk about:• why doubt is more common than people admit• the root causes behind doubting God• how fear, comparison, and disappointment affect your faith• why doubt doesn’t mean your faith is weak• practical ways to stay grounded in uncertain seasonsIf you’ve been feeling distant from God, emotionally exhausted, spiritually confused, or frustrated with where life is headed, I hope this episode reminds you that you’re not alone—and that God is not afraid of your questions. You don’t need all the answers to keep trusting Him.If this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

God Took It Away — So He Could Rebuild It the Right Way

Sometimes God doesn’t take something away because it’s wrong. Sometimes He takes it away because He wants to rebuild it differently. In this episode, I’m sharing a really personal conversation about my business, the shift I started feeling in my life, and why I honestly believe God allowed so much of what I built to fall apart. Not because it was bad.Not because I was doing the wrong thing. But because somewhere along the way, I became distracted, disconnected, and started trying to build everything in my own strength instead of building it with Him.I talk about how I started my business, the pressure and distractions that slowly pulled me away from what mattered most, and how I’ve started realizing that sometimes God removes things not to punish us—but to realign us.If you’ve ever gone through a season where things stopped working the way they used to, where you felt lost, disconnected, or confused about why God allowed something to fall apart, this episode is for you.Sometimes the breakdown is actually the beginning of rebuilding things the right way.In this episode, we talk about:• building something without staying connected to God• how distractions slowly pull us away from purpose• why God sometimes allows things to fall apart• surrender, redirection, and rebuilding differentlyIf this episode spoke to you, send it to someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you’re following The Becoming Her Podcast.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Season 2 : Episode 12 | "You Need to Decide"

This one’s personal. This one’s urgent. We are all called—but not to fame, not to success, not to comfort. Our calling is to Jesus. Every single one of us. And yet, too many of us live with one foot in and one foot out, waiting, hesitating, thinking we’ve got time. But here’s the truth: you don’t. There’s a line. And you need to decide which side you’re on.In this episode, I’m bringing scripture after scripture that makes it crystal clear why your decision matters, what it will cost, and what God promises if you surrender fully. Because answering the call of God isn’t easy—it might cost you everything. But not answering? That will cost you even more. This is your moment. This is your choice. When Jesus calls, the only question left is—will you answer?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Season 2: Episode 11 | Thank you Charlie Kirk

This episode is different. It’s raw. It’s heavy. And it’s necessary. In light of the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, I felt led to pause and reflect—not only on his courage to stand firm in truth, but also on the reality of the evil we are up against. Scripture is clear: we are called to hate what God hates, and that is evil itself. But here’s the hope—evil does not win. It never has, and it never will. God always writes the final word. In this episode, I talk about the revival I believe is rising, the urgent need for us to come together as followers of Christ, and the call to pray with power and authority—rebuking the enemy and standing on God’s promises. This isn’t just a conversation about loss—it’s a call to action. To pray. To unify. To trust that even in the darkest moments, God always wins.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Season 2: Episode 10 | "Your Pain has Potential"

In this final episode of the Pain Has a Purpose series....I’m getting raw, vulnerable, and straight to the point. You can either get burned by the fire but keep walking through it… or you can just be burned by the fire and stay stuck in it. The choice is yours.Your pain doesn’t have to be wasted. It doesn’t have to define you. It can be the very thing that pushes you to change. But here’s the hard truth—you can’t carry your past into your future and expect God to grow you forward. This episode is about recognizing that your pain isn’t just something to survive—it’s fuel. It’s potential. It’s the spark God can use to refine you and move you into the future He’s already written for you.So the question is: will you let your pain define you… or will you let it develop you?Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Series: Pain Has a PurposeLet’s be real… nobody likes pain. But what if the thing that hurt you was actually sent to help you?In this kickoff episode of my Pain Has a Purpose series, we’re talking about the kind of pain that doesn’t feel fair—but ends up being exactly what we needed. The truth is, it wasn’t an accident. That heartbreak, that closed door, that thing you begged God to change? It was allowed on purpose. And not because God was trying to be cruel—because He was trying to get your attention. We’re diving into what it means to be disciplined by a loving Father, and why some lessons only hit when it hurts. Season 2: Episode 7 | "What Are You Submitted to?"

Let’s be real—we’re all submitting to something. (No, not the gym schedule we said we’d follow. Oops.) Whether it’s people-pleasing, control, fear, culture, or comfort food—we tend to hand over our hearts to the wrong things. Meanwhile, God’s over here like, “Hello? I’m the Good Shepherd… remember Me?”In this episode, we’re talking about what it really means to submit to God—and why it’s so easy to wander off like lost sheep, chasing things that were never meant to lead us. I dive into the parables of the lost sheep from Matthew and Luke, unpack Psalm 23:1-4 (because yes, He makes us lie down in green pastures—even when we’re kicking and screaming), and Isaiah 53:6, which hits way too close to home.If you’ve ever found yourself drifting from God’s will, questioning His plan, or just feeling a little spiritually stubborn, this one’s for you. Come get gently (and maybe hilariously) convicted—and encouraged to re-surrender to the only One worth following!Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

In this episode, we're talking about how comfort isn’t always your friend—and how God will lovingly (and sometimes not-so-gently) nudge you out of it. Spoiler alert: it's not because He’s mean, it's because He wants you to lean on Him—not your own strength.I’m sharing 3 ways I’ve personally found purpose in the pain of discomfort (yes, even the “Jesus, why is this happening?” moments), and diving into how pain is often God's classroom—not a punishment. We’ll also dig into some powerful Bible verses that remind us we’re not alone, and that walking with Jesus may not be popular... but it’s always worth it.If you’ve been feeling stretched, challenged, or straight-up uncomfortable—this one’s for you. Episode 28 | How Did I Get Here?

In this deeply introspective episode, we explore the perplexing question, "How did I get here?" with inspiration from the journeys of biblical figures like Moses, Ruth, Esther, Daniel, David, the apostles, Job, and Jesus. Through their stories, we uncover the divine orchestration that places each of us exactly where God intends. This episode is designed to reshape your perspective and instill courage by reminding you that your current path is part of God's grand design. With a touch of nostalgia, we reflect on a memorable scene from Santa Claus, where Judy tells Scott Calvin that grown-ups stop believing in magic because it grows out of them... well we can't let our faith grow out of us. Kids don't have to see Santa to believe in him, they just do. We don't have to see the face of God to believe in Him, that's why we have faith.  Join us as we delve into these timeless stories, finding comfort and strength in the knowledge that your presence here isn't by chance, but by divine purpose.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Episode 27 | The Cutting Season - Build Your Fence

In the thrilling conclusion of our "Cutting Season" series, we tackle the art of boundary-building with "Build Your Fence | Why You Need Boundaries." You see, life isn't just about having a toolbox; sometimes you need a sturdy fence to fend off those pesky intruders—not the cute garden gnomes, but the enemy who’s out to swipe your faith and identity. The enemy loves to use the chaos, drama, and sometimes the people nearest to you as tools to pull you away from God and towards worldly distractions. We delve into the steadfast story of Job, who, despite losing nearly everything, built an unshakeable fortress of faith and never turned his back on God. Plus, remember that wistful scene in Tangled where Rapunzel's magical hair gets chopped? Yep, the gift was gone, and all that remained was a big clump of dull brown fuzz. The lesson? Without boundaries, what’s precious is drained. We discuss how building your spiritual fence with the solid timbers of God's truth protects your heart and soul from the world's never-ending demands. So grab your metaphorical hammer and let's get building—because your peace and faith deserve nothing less than a mighty fortress.Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

Episode 26 | The Cutting Season | Open Your Toolbox

In this episode, "Open Your Toolbox: You Already Have What You Need," we dive into the often-overlooked reality that God doesn't leave us high and dry—He's actually given us all we need to handle life's curveballs. If you somehow missed the memo, remember, you can always ask Him for a little extra help! Our heroine of the day, Moana, brilliantly illustrates how everything you need is tucked right inside you, no mystical ocean quests required. We explore four must-have tools: the Bible (your go-to manual), prayer (your direct hotline), worship (because who doesn’t love a good praise session?), and community (where everyone knows your name and cares about your soul). As if that wasn't wholesome enough, Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to keep cheering each other on—because community potlucks don’t organize themselves. And let's not forget about our incredibly gracious God. Remember Genesis 6? Yeah, the time we kinda broke His heart? Fortunately, He didn’t pack up and leave but instead continues to provide us with everything we need. So, unpack your toolbox, my friend, and realize that ultimately, you’ve got this!Support the showIf this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it.And if you’re working on your faith, your mindset, and becoming the woman God created you to be, make sure you follow The Becoming Her Podcast so you don’t miss what’s coming next.

ABOUT THIS SHOW
