EP132 | Embracing the Unboxable: Neurodiversity, Marketable Trades, and Being Salt and Light
In this episode, I open up about the daily reality of being "unboxable"—living with ADD/ADHD and navigating a society that constantly tries to box you in through social policing. I share the internal conflict between wanting to be social and protecting my limited energy, and how I finally found my happy medium through hosting the Corpus Christi Originals podcast. I dive into how growing up "weird" can be isolating, but also how it forced me to spend hours alone mastering the guitar, playing Nintendo, and developing creative tools that I now get to share with the world. I also offer practical advice for my fellow neurodivergent community on navigating the workplace. I talk about the absolute necessity of finding a highly marketable trade—like truck driving, plumbing, or electrical work—so that if you don't jive with a specific corporate culture, you always have the freedom to take your skills elsewhere. Grounded in my faith, I reflect on my accomplishments as a husband, father, college graduate, and professional driver to serve as a testimony and a reminder that we are called to be the salt and light of the earth. EP131 | Setting Boundaries and Breaking Free from Narcissistic Gaslighting
In this episode, I share my personal insights and experiences on what it takes to set firm boundaries with narcissists and toxic people trying to overstep your bounds. I open up about the immense courage it takes to break old patterns and say "no," especially when you're used to having your boundaries constantly pushed back. From recognizing the uncomfortable cycle of being gaslit to utilizing practical tools like the "grey rock" method , I break down how a narcissist’s need for control has everything to do with them and nothing to do with you. Whether you are navigating toxic dynamics at work, in your creative scene, or within your family, I discuss facing the initial awkwardness head-on to find ultimate peace, build resilience, and claim a major win for your mental well-being. EP130 | Responding to the Naysayers: The Reality of Buying Cars and Houses Cash
In this episode, I pull back the curtain on a recent TikTok comment challenging my debt-free lifestyle with the classic argument, "Be honest, nobody buys a car or house with cash". Well, I'm being completely honest: my wife and I do buy our cars with cash, and I dive into the exact discipline it took to make that happen—including the 3 to 6 months I spent taking the bus, walking, and hitching rides after wrecking my truck just to avoid a car loan. While the commenter was half right that we didn't buy our house with a massive lump sum of upfront cash, we didn't use a bank either; instead, we utilized a notarized, rent-to-own owner-finance agreement to pay it off completely in around 5 to 6 years. Inspired by a semi-modified version of Dave Ramsey's principles, I talk about going against the grain of normal society, navigating the critics who will always find something to say, and the immense mental freedom that comes from knowing a job layoff wouldn't cause a financial crisis because we don't owe a dime to anyone. EP129 | Financial Stewardship: Overcoming Economic Anxiety Through Discipline
In this episode, I share the personal journey of how my wife and I transformed our lives by tackling $50,000 in debt—including $46,000 in student loans—in less than two years. I dive into the "game-changing" shift from viewing ourselves as owners of money to becoming stewards of it, explaining how a disciplined budget and open communication in marriage helped us eliminate the stress and fighting that once plagued our home. By breaking down my Give, Save, and Spend framework, I explore why financial responsibility isn't about how much you make, but how you manage what you have to protect yourself against a fluctuating economy. From selling my instruments and cutting subscriptions to building an emergency fund, I discuss how living below your means provides the ultimate creative freedom and mental peace to face rising prices without fear. EP128 | Neurodiversity and the Art of Social Policing: Doing It Anyway
In this episode, I dive into the challenges of navigating a world built for the "norm" while living with ADHD and neurodiversity. I share a recent experience from a live stream where I had to handle social policing—those moments when critics try to put you in a box or tell you to "say it better". I explore the internal struggle of self-consciousness regarding speech and communication, the reality of being an "easy target" for bullies, and the bravery required to remain creative in front of naysayers. From learning to talk about the weather to finding the courage to take a "deep dive," this episode is about building character, setting boundaries, and celebrating the wins that come from simply being yourself. Whether you have ADD, OCD, or are just someone trying to find your voice, let's talk about why it’s essential to "do it in front of them" and embrace your unique brain wiring. EP127 | The Freedom of Zero: Navigating Social Policing and the Journey to a Debt-Free Life
In this episode of The Jesus Hilario Show, I’m diving deep into my debt-free journey. It’s been about three years since my wife and I reached a point of having absolutely no debt—no house payments, no car payments, and no student loans. I discuss the intense "social policing" we faced from people telling us that staying in debt was the "normal" way to live, and how we pushed through with overtime, sacrifice, and a commitment to our future. If you’re feeling stuck in the cycle of credit cards and car notes, I’m sharing the practical steps we took to find true financial freedom. EP126 | Beyond the Vows: Navigating Expectations, Growth, and ADHD in 12 Years of Marriage
In this episode of The Jesus Hilario Show, I’m reflecting on what 12-plus years of marriage has taught me about faith, trust, and the reality of shared life. I dive into how our expectations often clash with reality, the importance of keeping the covenant we made at the altar, and how we’ve learned to navigate my ADHD within our relationship. Whether you are single and seeking a partner or have been married for decades, I’m sharing why marriage is the "next level" of human growth and why joy is more important than just being "happy". EP125: Back to the Strings: My Passion for Guitar and the Game-Changer of Music Theory
In this episode of The Jesus Hilario Show, I’m talking about my recent journey rediscovering my passion for the guitar. From my early days learning metal music to earning a degree in classical guitar, I’ve realized how much I’ve missed the instrument. I dive into why I’m looking at eight-string electrics, why learning to read music is a complete game-changer, and how to ignore the "social policing" that tries to keep you from practicing your craft. EP124: Do It In Front Of Them: Dealing with Narcissistic Leeches and Social Policing
In this episode, I’m getting real about the hard lessons I’ve learned regarding "leeches" and the narcissistic people who use your kindness against you. I share my experience of trying to help family members with rental properties, only to face entitlement and manipulation. I also open up about my decision to go no-contact with my mother for seven years to protect my children and break the cycle of triangulation. Whether you're dealing with "social policing" in the comedy scene or critics in the back of the room, my message is simple: Stick to your guns, set your boundaries, and keep growing right in front of the people who want to see you fail.

EP121: Healing from Narcissistic Triangulation: How I Reclaimed My Sibling Relationships
In this video, I’m responding to a viewer’s question about a painful but common tactic in narcissistic families: the isolation of siblings to maintain control. Drawing from my own life, I share how my mother used "triangulation" to position herself as the middleman between my brothers and me. For years, we didn't go to each other; we went to her. I discuss the regret of lost time, the reality of being the "golden child," and the difficult but necessary decision I made at 35 to go no contact. Healing is a process of unlearning. Even at 43, I’m still identifying those inherited tendencies to ensure they don’t touch my marriage or my children. If you’ve felt pitted against your own family, know that you can bridge those gaps and build something authentic on your own terms.

EP120: Open Mic 13 - I Love My Family, Not Seeking Approval, and Just Enjoying the Ride
Month since last open mic. I love my family—sometimes need a breather and that's normal. Went up unprepared, got chuckles. Not seeking approval from other comics anymore—their silence hurts. Just enjoying the ride. Daughter waited up for me. Watching an excellent comedian—reps, practice, iron sharpens iron.

EP118: I Know Where I'm Going When I Die - A Peaceful Revelation at 43
At 2:30am on my sofa, I finally had peace about where I'm going after I die. I've feared this since I was 10 years old. I'm ready to go to heaven but it's on God's time. My wife helped me realize we're not actively looking for sin. Faith like a mustard seed.

EP116: Learning to Let the Audience Laugh - Do Corpus Christi Comics Avoid Politics? | Feb 22, 2026
Random thoughts vlog recorded February 22, 2026! In this episode, I discuss taking the Corpus Christi Originals podcast on the road to local businesses, dealing with the annoying guy at the gym who won't stop talking, my one-hour full body workout routine (compound movements only - squats, deadlifts, bench press), and why my wife says I need more cardio. I dive into a stand-up comedy realization: I laugh at my own jokes because I don't want to be left in silence when people aren't laughing, but I need to stop myself and let the audience laugh if it's funny. Learn about acknowledging the room and reading the energy, how the comedian before me set up my "three-minute man" joke that killed, and why low status presence works in comedy. I discuss listening to the Slow Roast podcast and their conversation about Corpus Christi comedians avoiding politics and religion - are we afraid of losing our small open mic audience? Should comics pick a side (red or blue, Christian or Jewish)? Question for comics: why or why not do you avoid these topics? Real talk about learning stand-up, crowd work, gym life, podcast evolution, and comedy in Corpus Christi.

EP115: The Anxiety of Letting People Down - Canceling Work and Dispatcher Mind Games
Rough morning canceling work due to babysitter scheduling conflict. I hate letting my employer down—it's taxing on my mind. Dispatchers use words to get in your head and make you backstep. I keep everything on text to stay professional and documented. Driving for owner operator adds pressure.

EP114: Men Need a Hug Sometimes - Breaking Toxic Masculinity
Men need hugs but it's difficult to ask. I see it in myself and my 5-year-old son. Culture teaches "don't cry, keep going, don't be emotional." My wife knows I'm strong but sometimes when we're both tired I need acknowledgement. At open mic, a guy needed a hug—comic said "let's break toxic masculinity." It's okay for men to have emotions and want hugs.

EP113: Why I Create My Own Lane in Every Social Circle
Real talk about being the oddball in every social circle. In this episode, I share how I already know when I'm going to get rejected or put outside the circle because I'm weird - at church, comedy, music, coding, work - there's always cliques and I'm usually the oddball. I'm done trying to be part of those circles, don't need their acceptance or peer pressure. It bothers me when excluded but I can't let it dictate my life - I create my own lane in every field because I'm being pushed there anyway, why fight it? Learn about the weird phenomenon where people reject you, then when you embrace your own lane they end up not liking you even more ("I thought this is what you wanted"). I discuss how people lose their sense of self trying to please others and do what everybody expects, how you can't get better than the group when one person leads and says "you're not supposed to do it like that," and why you need to go against the grain to improve. Being salt and light of the earth - when I refuse to accept their social standards, I'm hated for it and known as the outcast. I've been doing this since elementary school - learned to make fun of myself first to beat them to the punch. Important: people pretend to be your friend but are insincere - discern by how they treat you alone vs. in groups. You need to put yourself in social situations despite past rejection. I do curbside because I'm lazy and don't want to deal with people - I'm a sore thumb from a mile away. Looking people in the eye to maintain peace - intimidators look away, normal people look back. The oddball, creating your own lane, salt and light.

EP112: Debt-Free Marriage: Communication, Finances & Work-Life Balance
Random thoughts vlog after a long, rough day. In this episode, I talk about the importance of rest for mental well-being and how negative thoughts creep in when exhausted - I need a nap and a guitar (my therapy), working out makes my muscles scream to go back. I discuss patience running thin with people, gaslighting in unhealthy relationships (when someone uses your patience too thin then calls you the problem when you finally snap), and how healthy relationships communicate openly about problems instead of blaming. Major topic: being completely debt-free with my wife - no credit cards, car loans, student loans, or mortgage. We worked at this for 12+ years. Learn why we bought into the debt mindset (FICO score, credit cards, etc.) and how we got on the same page to knock it all out. Money goes to retirement, savings, kids' college - we're responsible and have money to spend on things we want. Communication about budget is KEY - we put all money in one pile (same bank account), no separate accounts (that's already a flag), no pride about who makes more. We used to fight about money when in debt with no communication or budgeting - now we don't fight about money at all because we're transparent. Eliminated the number one cause of arguments in marriages. Important: discuss significant topics BEFORE marriage - money, kids, church, values. Don't avoid them because you think it's taboo. Sex first then marriage is out of order. Negative thoughts when tired, gaslighting, financial freedom, communication in marriage, topics before marriage. EP110: Open Mic #8 - Imposter Syndrome, Using AI to Write Jokes, and Learning Setups
My eighth open mic at Rich's pool hall on January 4th, 2026—first open mic of the new year! In this episode, I share the totally different experience of performing in a pool hall venue, dealing with imposter syndrome after the set ("Dude, am I funny?"), and learning that even experienced comics get it all the time. I discuss my writing process: using pen and paper, computer typing, Gemini for research, and ChatGPT to help write jokes and get ideas—some AI jokes get laughs, some non-AI jokes get laughs, it's a combination. Learn why Jerry Seinfeld writes only with pen and paper while the Joke Doctor uses computer, and why my wife says "just use what works for you—you don't have to do what everybody else is doing." I share advice for someone going up for the first time who doesn't feel they have enough material (I didn't either), why you need to recite and memorize jokes so your memory doesn't escape you on stage, and how memorization lets your natural voice come out. Important realization: the joke is a guide and the path may change but you're going in the general direction—learning to slow down, speed up, pause, and let the audience understand. Can't drop them in the middle of your thought—that's why they call it a setup. Person, place, thing: who, what, when, where, why—set them up in the space, then hit them with what they didn't expect. Very cognitive writing translated to people. Eighth shot at open mic. Chapters (00:00:00) - Open Mic #8(00:04:31) - Jimmy Kimmel on Starting Late

EP109: Why I Always Choose My Own Lane - And Why I Don't Have Women Friends
Real talk about never fitting into social circles and why I always create my own lane. In this episode, I share how I've never really been part of a crew or group from high school to now - whenever I try to be part of a social circle, I find myself putting aside what I want to do to please the circle. Learn why I had to create my own thing with podcasting, comedy, guitar, programming, and YouTube, and why "why not?" is my premise when people say I'm supposed to do it a certain way. I discuss why my comedy is cleaner than other comedians (it's my lifestyle and how I choose to speak - not doing it because others do dirty), following myself instead of following the crowd, and why it works when I keep my head down and work on it my way. IMPORTANT: I explain why I choose not to have women friends as a married man - friendships eventually turn into relationships, anything past professional belongs to my wife, and I tell her everything about women in my DMs. My wife is my best friend. I also talk about bumping heads and tension when you choose your own lane, politics in circles where you learn new skills, navigating professional relationships in podcasting/comedy/music/trucking, and why it's okay to keep things at a professional level. Choosing myself over the crowd, learning to navigate tension, and creating my own lane.

EP108: I Bombed - Open Mics 3 & 4, Learning to Be Confident in Failure
Real talk about bombing in stand-up comedy. In this episode, I share my humbling experience at open mic number three where I completely bombed, the depression that followed, and how I learned to be confident in failure for open mic number four. Learn what it's like when jokes don't land, why I didn't prepare the audience or warm them up, how I wasn't looking at the crowd during number three, and the self-doubt that follows a bomb ("Am I funny? Do I really want to do this?"). I discuss the importance of representation in comedy, how Hispanic audience members moved closer when I talked about my name being Jesus and people calling me Jose in the oil field, and how laughter doesn't know race - comedy brings people together. Discover why you almost have to be an influencer to fill shows in Corpus Christi, how I went backwards (podcast first, comedy second), and why even experienced comics bomb. I explore using cuss words as bait between jokes and how I need to figure out clean comedy alternatives as a Bible believer. Plus: how the enemy plants doubts before performances, why bombing is part of the process like learning guitar, and building the muscle to ignore negative thoughts. Recorded audio of sets, advice from Eric Knowles, Lito Cortez wisdom, and being confident you can bomb.

EP107: Second Open Mic - Learning to Trim the Fat & Be Uncomfortable With Silence
My second stand-up comedy open mic at Mesquite Street Comedy in Corpus Christi! In this episode, I share what I learned about trimming the fat (fixing bits to make them better), stretching jokes longer, and being uncomfortable when the audience doesn't laugh. I almost didn't go up—sat in my car second-guessing myself until my wife encouraged me. Learn about recording your sets on your phone to analyze later, getting advice from local comics like Anna Ramirez, Lito Cortez, Miguel(ito), Marri Garcia (awesome host), Chris Longoria, and Roland Alaniz who told me "they're just jokes bro, what's the worst that can happen?" I discuss watching 15-16 comics before going up, reminding myself "nobody is me—I'm the only person who can do me," learning comedy terminology (bits, punchlines), and discovering you have to put on your own shows to get longer than 5-minute open mic sets. Real talk about stage time being irreplaceable, practicing your craft in front of people, having backup ideas when jokes don't land, and learning to listen to the audience. The difference between authentic laughs and pity laughs. Enjoying the process of learning stand-up comedy. Recorded November 2025.

EP106: I Tried Stand-Up Comedy for the First Time - Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is
Description: I finally did it—my first stand-up comedy open mic! In this episode, I share the nerve-wracking experience of trying stand-up for the first time at a downtown Corpus Christi open mic hosted by Tina La Cochina. After telling guests Chris Longoria and Ronnie Fryar I wanted to try comedy, they got me on the hook and I had to kick myself in the butt to actually go through with it. Learn what it's really like to practice in front of an audience (ouch), why the huge difference with stand-up is you can't practice alone, and how people said I already have stage presence from my years performing classical guitar and playing in bands. I discuss bombing in front of colleagues, the advice to "do it five more times," and how I'm already thinking about how to improve the material. Drawing parallels between performing Villa-Lobos on classical guitar and learning comedy timing—you can feel when the audience is listening and you have control. Real talk about starting something new, not waiting for perfect, figuring it out along the way, and being the example for what I preach: just start, then make it better next time. More eyes watching because of Corpus Christi Originals podcast recognition. Remembering grammar from elementary school to write jokes. Will I do it again? Yes. Recorded November 2025. Blog Post Here.

EP105: When Fame Goes to Your Head - I'm Checking Myself Before It Changes Me
Real talk about fame, recognition, and staying humble. In this episode, I discuss how a little bit of fame can change people—and how I've noticed it starting to affect me too. My wife and I talked about how some people aren't ready for fame because as soon as they get it, they want more. I share stories about women using their looks to get on my podcast, people demanding free promotion for their events (pay for it like everyone else), and the young woman who put me on blast on Facebook after I professionally declined her request. I'm honest about falling victim to seeking recognition myself—how I started wanting to be recognized at every place I go, how it can become like an addiction, and why I have to humble myself before it affects my character. Learn about the dangers of pride in podcasting, setting professional boundaries with people who "just want to chat," taking a risk when promoting events, and why being an introvert makes public recognition even more complicated. The Corpus Christi Originals podcast is growing rapidly, and I'm learning to take recognition as it comes without seeking it. Checking myself before fame goes to my head. Recorded November 15, 2025. EP104: Why My Podcast Is Invite-Only - Protecting Vision & Saying No to Guests
In this episode, I explain why Corpus Christi Originals is now an invite-only podcast and how I'm protecting the vision I've developed over 100 episodes. Learn about my guest vetting process, why I look at digital footprints before inviting people on, and what happened when someone got mad and put me on blast on Facebook after I professionally declined their request. I share what my podcast vision is NOT: not chasing influencers or fame, not about drama or gossip, not just content creation but community creation, not trying to be the biggest but the most meaningful, and not compromising values for growth. Discover how "giving voice to the unheard" became my unexpected mission, why I avoid the gossip trap (the Bible says gossip is bad for society), and how biblical perspectives inform my podcast decisions. I discuss the micro-influencer strategy I used early on, why their response to "no" reveals everything, and how protecting your brand sometimes means turning people away. Real talk about podcast growth, building vs. tearing down community, professional boundaries, and why being invite-only actually strengthens your platform. Writing a book on 100 episodes of podcasting lessons. Recorded November 11, 2025. Blog Post Here.

EP103: Teaching My Daughter That Work Doesn’t Care About Your Birthday
On my birthday November 7th, I had to teach my 10-year-old daughter a hard lesson about adult life: work doesn't care about your birthday. In this episode, I share her reaction when I explained we'd celebrate the next day because my job made me work late, and the beautiful moment when she processed and understood this reality. I also share a breakthrough moment with my 5-year-old autistic son who's been afraid of fire for years—how letter candles (H-A-P-P-Y B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y) helped him overcome his fear during birthday celebrations. Learn about preparing kids for adult realities, working with children on the autism spectrum, sensory sensitivities to fire and light, and how dispatchers sometimes make you work all day on your birthday or holidays if they don't like you. Real talk about parenting, teaching life lessons to children, celebrating birthdays late because of work, and finding creative solutions for kids with sensory issues. A touching episode about family, understanding, and watching your children grow. Recorded November 11, 2025. Blog Post Here. EP102: No Accountability in the Workplace - A Truck Driver's Frustration
I spent Halloween 2024 working a 30-hour shift that should have taken 15 hours, missing trick-or-treating with my kids. In this episode, I share the harsh reality of being a truck driver in South Texas and the complete lack of accountability in the workplace. Learn about the constant struggle between drivers paid by the load and operators paid by the hour, how operators waste driver time while milking the clock, and why there's no real accountability for wasting our government-mandated driving hours. I break down specific examples: 6 hours to open a gate at Energy Transfer Company, 3.5 hours waiting during shift change at Valero in Three Rivers, dispatcher failures that cost 3 hours, and the story of standing up to an arrogant operator named Frank. This isn't just about trucking—it's about any profession that can be stepped on (teachers, paramedics, drivers). Real talk about workplace accountability, the battle between hourly and load-based pay, and why companies always take the operator's side over drivers. If you're a truck driver or work in an industry with no accountability, this episode is for you. Blog Post Here. EP101: Respecting Marriage Boundaries - Biblical Perspective on Lust and Temptation
Why do some couples allow strip club visits? In this episode, I discuss a conversation with my wife about respecting marriage boundaries and what the Bible says about lust. Drawing from Jesus's teaching on adultery in the heart and Proverbs 5:15-23 about being intoxicated with your wife, I explore why men are visual, the difference between being caught off guard by temptation versus seeking it out, and the importance of dying to self. Learn about biblical marriage boundaries, avoiding lustful temptation, and why respecting the covenant of marriage matters. I share personal insights on denying fleshly instincts, staying away from situations that compromise your marriage, and living according to biblical principles. EP100: Marriage Commitment and Divorce Impact on Society - Biblical Wisdom from Proverbs
Why does marriage commitment matter for society? In this episode, I explore the social impact of divorce, unfaithfulness in relationships, and what the Bible says about staying together. Drawing from Proverbs 23:27-28 and Proverbs 5:3-5, I discuss how sexual immorality spreads through communities, the challenge of long-term marriage commitment, and why self-control matters. I share personal observations about divorce trends in church communities and issue an urgent call for relationship integrity. Learn biblical perspectives on marriage, communication with your spouse, and how stronger marriages create better communities. Important: I'm not advocating staying in abusive relationships—this is about genuine commitment when both partners want to work on their marriage. EP99: The Real Reason Marriages Don't Last (And How Communication Saved Mine)
My wife and I often wonder why so many marriages end in divorce. Today I'm sharing what I believe is the real reason: marriage is a divine institution under spiritual attack. We live in a culture that says you don't need marriage, sleep with whoever you want, move from partner to partner—and the kids suffer for it. I talk about why communication (especially about finances and temptation) saved my marriage, the importance of vetting someone before you commit, what the Bible says about intimacy in marriage (Corinthians), and why you need to approach relationships from a biblical perspective instead of a secular one. No marriage is perfect—mine isn't—but understanding God's design and actually talking to your spouse changes everything. Also: happy birthday to my wife. October 28th, 2025. Blog Post Here.

EP98: Why I'd Rather Take the Bus Than Have a Car Payment (Debt-Free Living)
Had to borrow someone's car recently and it reminded me: most people on the road don't actually own their car—the bank does. Yeah, the new car was nice with Bluetooth and all the bells and whistles, but at what cost? I'd rather take the bus and save cash than be in debt for something that goes down in value the second you drive it off the lot. Today I'm talking about why I'm avoiding car payments, the one thing worth going into debt for (a house), the 25% rule for "toys" with motors, and where that interest money could go instead (retirement, index funds, actually building wealth). My car broke down and I'm taking public transportation until we save enough to buy our next vehicle in cash. Financial freedom over fancy features. Blog Post Here. EP97: Why You Should Never Underestimate Children (And What That Teaches Us About Leadership)
After dinner with my kids, I got to thinking about something I learned substitute teaching years ago: kids are way smarter than we give them credit for. Every age has a mind that's thinking, learning, analyzing—and we miss out when we dismiss young voices. This applies to the workplace too. From "Stop Work Authority" to servant leadership, I talk about why we need to listen up and down the hierarchy, why veterans shouldn't dismiss new workers, and why new workers shouldn't think they know everything. Age doesn't determine the value of an idea. Let's build a culture where everyone's voice matters. October 22nd, 2025. Blog Post Here.

EP96: Why Marriage & Family Matter: Mental Health, Community & Biblical Values
Just finished an incredible conversation with Melanie Sandoval, a doula in South Texas, for episode 94 of Corpus Christi Originals. We talked about the breakdown of the family system, teen pregnancy in our community, why marriage-first matters, men's mental health in Hispanic culture, narcissism in relationships and social media, and why I believe a biblical perspective on marriage and family is what society needs. Melanie's story is inspiring—diagnosed with a brain tumor at 18 weeks pregnant, now running her own doula agency with three kids. A real conversation about what holds communities together and what's tearing them apart. EP93: Why We Need to Stop Picking Just One Table | Day 3 | October 17th, 2025
Day 3 - October 17th, 2025 Why do we still think we have to pick just one table? In high school, you had to choose your group - but I wanted a little bit from each table. I like heavy metal AND hip-hop. I connect with car culture AND cyclists. In this episode, I talk about how this "pick a table" mentality is still holding us back as adults, and how I'm building the Corpus Christi Originals podcast to break down those barriers. Different people from different walks of life, all welcome at the same table. This daily practice is inspired by Seth Godin's approach to blogging - if you don't ship it, people can't see it.
