Our dear friend Wild Bill joins the cast to kill TIME discussing In Time (2011) a truly preposterous dystopian thriller in which TIME is literally money 🤯. In the meanTIME, Jimmy recounts his fun TIME at a Turnstile concert, brandished, Bill talks about his TIME as a real estate wholesaler, and Tony crashes out about prosthetic breasts, firearms, and imaginary exchange rates. That’s right folks, it’s TIME for a brand new JSS.    In Time (2011) is a science fiction thriller set in a future where time has literally become currency — people stop aging at 25, but must earn or buy more time to stay alive. The wealthy can live forever, while the poor struggle day by day to survive.   The story follows a working-class man who unexpectedly gains a large amount of time and becomes the target of powerful forces determined to maintain the system’s inequality. As he teams up with a young woman from a privileged background, they challenge the rules of a society built on economic and moral imbalance.   Directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

Iris (and her fetus) join us to hit on Promising Young Woman (2020), Emerald Fennel’s bitterly funny debut feature. We talk about AI’s brain melting impact on teenagers, give kudos to the legion of fantastic actors in the film, and solve relations between men and women once and for all.    Promising Young Woman (2020) is a darkly comic thriller written and directed by Emerald Fennell, starring Carey Mulligan as Cassie, a smart but haunted woman living a double life. By day, she appears ordinary; by night, she enacts a secret plan confronting predatory men and the culture that enables them. Driven by grief and moral conviction, Cassie’s actions blur the line between justice and vengeance.

Ben kicks in the door to join us for a highly illegal breakdown of Hell or High Water (2016), a Taylor Sheridan-penned Neo-Western about two brothers beating a regional bank at their own game. Ben reflects on his own loose-cannon past, defends the honor of Little Caesar’s, and takes some shots at his haters. All that and more on a most wanted new JSS.

This week our good friend Chris joins us to talk about the 1996 thriller ‘ Sleepers’. We also cover important current topics such as the Thatsafishbarcode lady and the similarities between raising children and managing a sober house. Sleepers is the story of four young friends growing up in the storied neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen in late 1960s NYC and a major trauma that changes the course and quality, of all their lives permanently. While playing a relatively innocent prank on a local hotdog vendor, they severely injure a man and are sent away to a juvenile detention center known as the Wilkinson Home for Boys. While incarcerated, they are subject to severe physical and sexual abuse by the guards. Later in life, two of the men who have become dangerous killers encounter the main perpetrator and take his life publicly. The two remaining friends set out on a mission to not only make sure their two friends do not see consequences from the murder, but also to exact revenge on the remaining living guards. With an ensemble cast including the likes of Kevin Bacon, Brad Pitt, Dustin Hoffman, Robert DeNiro, Jason Patric, and the screen debut of Billy Crudup, this film takes you on an intense journey you won’t soon forget.

Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse-Midwife Evelyn joins the cast to discuss David Cronenberg’s unhinged gynecological thriller Dead Ringers (1988).
