#001 - Challenge #01: Run/Introduction
For this podcast you will need to listen in order, this is very important, the challenges are in sequence. Challenges will be harder for a first time listener on the most recently (Newest) released podcast start with the trailer if you are a new listener. Each Challenge will have a total of four episodes. The first being the challenge and the rules for the challenge. Second & Third providing tips to achieve the challenge successfully and the fourth being a Q&A from emailed questions durning the challenge to help apply the answers as we continue forward. Episode #001: The first episode of The next milestone podcast will be based around Challenge #01. Challenge #01 will be to incorporate cardio exercise into your life at a low level. Shoot to Run at minimum of 1 US Mile per day for 1 full calendar month. This will be the foundation of these challenges, they will get progressively harder each month so DO NOT cheat yourself. The first few runs will be tough if you currently do not have a cardio base, but they are not impossible. This is how I started off earlier this year, these runs will make you tough mentally as well as physically! Look to the future not the present. Remember, one step at a time. I highly recommend you prior to starting challenge #01 to do the following: - Take a body weight - Gather full body measurements - Take photos of your body in the same clothes, (Front, Back, Sides) in the same location, with the same conditions. (I personally find first thing in the morning to work best for me). Note: You will only need to do this for the end of the current/beginning of the next challenge. This is so you can have a personal log of your progress. You will only see results if you truly do these challenges, so put in the work you'll be glad that you did. #004 - Challenge #01 : "Why Are You Doing This?"
This is the last episode for challenge #01. This Episode is based around the million dollar question everyone wants to hear your answer to. "why are you doing this?" This question will come in many different forms, from many people you know and from many people you don't. I hear this question daily. Being prepared to have an answer is critical for when the time WILL come. This is where the person asking is sizing you up; believe it or not. That's what they're doing. They're trying to determine if this is a phase for you or if this is your way of life now ("This is the Way"). They also are likely on the fence on beginning the journey themselves. This is a very weak minded individual asking due to the fact they are doubting themselves. Be "The One" that shows' them this is possible. That they can change for the better. #005 - Challenge #01: Special; Race Day Interviews
On this episode I have 3 special guests selected at random to come on to the next milestone podcast that were racing in the Q50 Trail Race: Bleau Moon. I want to thank these individuals again for allowing me to interview them on the spot. I also share a little wisdom on hard lessons learned from Cameron Hanes from his book "Endure". The lesson to take away from this is all good things take time. It's important to enjoy YOUR journey of life. Everyone is at different levels, times, and places in THEIR personal life. Comparing to others (The "greener" grass) is not always the best approach. I know I've learned this lesson plenty of times myself..sometimes you just need a reminder in your life every now and then and that's God's plan/sensor of humor..working in real time. Open your eyes every now and then. The answer isn't always a "No" just maybe a "Not right now". Keep going at it, ask for help, and speak up. Challenge #02 are comprised of 3 very simple tasks. You will fail at these simple tasks however if you have not established a running base. The running base also begins a mental base as well of "I Can Do This" as well as your will to improve your life/change. If you don't have it, you'll give up. Flat out honest truth. #014 - Challenge #03: Make a Change
This can be a sore subject for some, but it's the cold hard truth. It's easy to become complacent and just be willing to accept things because we feel like our life is too busy or a single person can't make a change. But the truth is many people likely feel the exact same way as you do. It's time you stop being mainstream. Swim up stream, go the long way, do the hard things. The beaten path is where you will find your growth and as more and more people hear of the success you have along the way, others will begin that journey. Guide the way for those who do not have the courage or knowledge. It will not be easy, expect the hard to be HARD. Martin Luther King Jr. began one of the largest movements in the U.S. do you think it was easy for him? He sacrificed everything for his beliefs for everyone else to have a better tomorrow; sounds pretty hard to me. The disciples dropped everything in their lives the day they began to follow Jesus; sounds hard right? God gave up his one and only son for you. That sounds like a brutal heart break, but you were worth it. He knows the good you will do before you begin. So why are you not making the change? Too hard? #001A - Trailer
Trailer (#001A) for the next milestone podcast as well as for Episode #001 (Full Length). For this podcast you will need to listen in order. As challenges will be harder for a first time listener on the most recently (Newest) released podcast. Episode #001: The first episode of The next milestone podcast will be based around Challenge #01. Challenge #01 will be to incorporate cardio exercise into your life at a low level. Shoot to Run at minimum of 1 US Mile per day for 1 full calendar month. This will be the foundation of these challenges, they will get progressively harder each month so DO NOT cheat yourself. The first few runs will be tough if you currently do not have a cardio base, but they are not impossible. This is how I myself started off, these runs will make you tough mentally as well as physically! Look to the future not the present. I highly recommend you prior to starting challenge #01 to do the following: - Take a body weight - Gather full body measurements - Take photos of your body in the same clothes, (Front, Back, Sides) in the same location, with the same conditions. (I personally find first thing in the morning to work best for me). Note: You will only need to do this for the end of the current/beginning of the next challenge. This is so you can have a personal log of your progress. You will only see results if you truly do these challenges, so put in the work you'll be glad that you did.
