He earned two Masters' degrees and a Ph.D. from Miami University of Ohio. He received a Doctorate of Divinity from Temple Bible College and Seminary in Cincinnati. Rev. Dr. Childs is also an ordained minister and speaks throughout the US and the world. He is Senior Pastor at the historic Antioch Baptist Church and Refreshing Spring Church of God in Christ in Cincinnati. He is president of Cultural Diversity Consultants (CDC), an educational consultant organization that focuses on history, Black studies, diversity, educational leadership, theology and social studies curriculum. He also runs Cultural Diversity Studios, a subsidiary of CDC that focuses on multicultural arts, media, animation and film. He has affiliations with National Geographic, National Public Radio, National Black Press USA, PBS, the Smithsonian Institute and many other renowned organizations.  Dr. Childs is an international scholar, having worked in Mexico, Canada, France, England and Liberia, Africa. He has published over 200 academic articles and book chapters. He is also a novelist and has published a historical fiction novel on slavery and freedom for young adults. Dr. Childs produced a documentary film with NKU colleagues Dr. Brian Hackett and Professor John Gibson for Kentucky Educational Television (KET) and PBS featuring his research on the underground railroad in Kentucky and Ohio. The initial film screening will be at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center April 25, 2025. The work is a collaboration with George Clooney and his father Nick Clooney. She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at the age of 9 and was always actively involved in various activities and areas of service in her local church. Be Willing to Adapt Stay Anchored in Faith Trust God's Timing Guest Bio As a wife, mother, and grandmother (affectionately known as “Yaya”), Kenyetta Jeffries’ approach to ministry is deeply influenced by her experiences in family life. She is committed to creating spaces where individuals feel nurtured, supported, and encouraged to grow. Born in Michigan and raised in San Diego, California, Kenyetta has always drawn strength from her roots. Kenyetta’s spiritual journey began at the age of 23 with a life-changing encounter during the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Awakened by the Spirit of God, she instinctively cried out to Him, leading to a supernatural experience that brought her to faith through Jesus Christ. During this transformative time, John 14:6 was highlighted to her, where Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." This truth captured her heart and continues to anchor her call, reminding her that she is following the way, the truth, and the life. This encounter marked the start of her lifelong commitment to sharing hope and reaching out to those often considered unreachable. In the mid to late 90s, Kenyetta’s ministry journey began in Los Angeles, where she was a performance arts teacher at Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse. During this same period, she became a member of Church of the Harvest, under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Clarence McClendon, where she volunteered her time cleaning the church and eventually working with the youth. Her role as a teacher, combined with her volunteer work, allowed her to integrate her passion for dance and performance arts into ministry, using it as a powerful tool to connect and inspire. In the fall of 1999, Kenyetta relocated to Monroe, Michigan, where she began her career within the airline industry while also attending and serving at Stewart Road Christian Ministries Center under Pastor Sam Luke. Starting as a volunteer, she gradually took on greater responsibilities, eventually serving as youth pastor. During this time, dance continued to be a significant part of her ministry, both in the church and through outreach. Her efforts led to the founding of Spirit of Dance, a non-profit dance studio, creating a space for young people in the community to express themselves and grow through the arts. In 2008, she was licensed as a minister under the leadership of Pastor John Hearns at Christian Faith Ministries in Garden City, Michigan, solidifying her role in ministry leadership. In 2010, Kenyetta relocated to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where she felt a calling to expand her ministry further. In the fall of 2017, she founded New Day Ministries, which marked a new chapter in her journey. I Want to Know Him, Not Just About Him Blessed to Be a Blessing Finding the Blessing in the Pain Guest Bio: Mildred Albert is a Christian who has supported her husband for over 44 years in ministry. Mildred is in her 49th year of marriage. Mildred and her husband are humbly proud parents of two daughters. They also have an infant daughter who is resting peacefully in the arms of God. Mildred and her husband are honored to have three godsons, of whom they are also humbly proud…they are referred to as a breath of fresh air. The Alberts are a United States Air Force family.   Most importantly, Mildred knows God, not just about Him. She cherishes her relationship with God. Mildred confides, “Oh, how precious is the opportunity to go to him and know that all will be well in any situation.” Mildred has the privilege to lead the women’s ministry at her church. She enjoys joining women of different denominations and churches for a Christian women’s book club, called True Vine. The women have gathered for over 20 years to read and fellowship. They also see the book club as a ministry, reaching out with activities and providing information on their website. Lastly, working in ministry has allowed Mildred to reach out within her church community and collaborate and support other churches. Mildred’s desire is to do the will of God. Moriah AME Church and the Minister of the Women’s Ministry. She enjoys ministering to youth, teaching adult Bible study, Church School and participating in Christian Education.  Rev. Bell has delivered the word of God on many occasions at numerous churches in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.  Rev. Bell’s obedience to God's word and work has inspired her to minister in outreach programs, local nursing homes, hospitals, to the sick and shut-in,  and to church members.   Rev. Bell received a Master of Divinity Degree at Regent University in VA Beach, VA. She also studied at the University of Maryland, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management and a Master of Science Degree in Management and Health Care Administration. Rev. Bell studies the Bible daily and other spiritual and academic literature keeping abreast and prepared to follow God's plan for her life.  She is a living witness to the Scripture found in Mark 9:23, “Anything is possible, if a person believes”.   Rev. Bell believes so much in this scripture that it inspired her to write a book entitled, “The Ultimate Best Friend”. God Made Us Who He Wanted Us to Be We Are Here to Help One Another Wait On God Guest Bio Diann was born in Forest Mississippi, to the proud parents of Percy and Elma Pace. Ultimately her family relocated to the Dayton, OH area where she has spent the majority of her life.  Diann accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 15 with the infilling of the Holy Ghost and has experienced God’s hand on her life ever since.  Her church foundation and growth can be attributed to her time spent in the ministries under the Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.) organization, notably Prayer Garden (Dayton, OH) under the leadership of the late James McMahon Sr. and St. Paul with Superintendent Earl N. Blake, Sr.  Diann serves faithfully everywhere God has placed and assigned her. She has been a Sunday School teacher and usher.   Diann is a woman of wisdom and of the Word and desires to see God’s people lives changed.  She received her Missionary license in 1993 in San Bernardino, CA. In 1983, Diann relocated to the San Bernardino, CA area and served under the leadership of the late Pastor Harvey Johnson, Sr. at the Carter Memorial C.O.G.I.C.  It was during her time there that she met her husband, Elder Robert Jones, Sr.  They remained and served in the San Bernardino, CA area until Elder Jones heard the Lord speak, “it’s time to move” They obeyed the voice of the Lord and have made Dayton, OH their home ever since. The Jones’ have been blessed to be married for the last 39 years.  They are the proud parents of two beautiful children and five grandchildren.  God has continued to open many doors for Diann and she graciously says,"Yes” to the call of God upon her life.   She currently serves at Zion Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Bishop George L. Carter, Sr. as the local and district Women’s Department Leader.  She is also the Assistant to the State Women’s Department Supervisor of the Ohio Southern Jurisdiction.   Diann has an Associate degree in Specialized Technology from Skadron College of Business in San Bernadino, CA.  She has worked in hospital administration for the last 30 years and is looking forward to retirement. In her spare time, Diann enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, bowling, skating and being active.

God Knows Who You Are ~Special Guest Bio~ Kemba Hubbard was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio.  When she was 8 years old, Jesus spoke to her and asked her if she wanted to follow Him on the narrow road or follow the masses on the wide road. She said yes to believing and following Jesus and shortly after was baptized. Growing up she attended a Baptist church on Sundays with her father.  Her mother, who moved from Catholic to protestant to a charismatic Christian, took Kemba and her younger brother to a variety of churches during her growing up years. Kemba often shares how these experiences enriched her life and provided her a diverse exposure to different ways of worshipping Jesus. Her other diverse experience included being raised by her parents who joined together from two different races and cultures. Her father who was African-American and her mother who is Caucasian got married just few year after the interracial couple, ‘The Lovings’ won their Supreme court case which struck down state laws banning interracial marriage.  Before her father’s passing in 2018, her parents were married for 48 years. After high school, Kemba attended the University of Dayton and received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She later went on to receive her Masters of Counseling from Regent University and a Masters of Education Specialist’s degree from the University of Dayton. Kemba has served families and children in the last 20 years in various capacities including as a 4th grade teacher, clinical coordinator, school-community liaison, student service advisor, school psychologist and currently as a student attendance specialist for an online school. She has had the privilege to spend time studying abroad in Israel and in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has had the pleasure to serve in the local church as usher, children’s ministry teacher, Singles ministry coordinator and recently a speaker at the Flawless Women’s conference. Kemba currently lives in a small town northwest of Columbus.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her 2 stepdaughters, 2 nieces and 7 godchildren.

He Prays and Believes The One Who Will Rescue You Cancer Is Not God Born in a small coal mining town in the foothills of Scratch Back, KY, at the end of World War II, Brother Charles L. Wilson, Sr came from very humble beginnings.  Out of the seven families living on a side of a hill, his family was the only black family.  He recalls starting school in the 2nd grade with a teacher named John Willie Combs, whom he’ll never forget, who also served as the “bus driver” picking up students in his own 1942 Ford car every day as they made their way to the one classroom building at the top of the mountain.   Brother Charles’ family moved to Dayton, Ohio when he was 10 years old. He lost his father at an early age and was raised by his mother.  It was also at the age of 10 that Brother Charles began to hear the voice of God calling him.    After ignoring the call many times, in 1975, he heard the voice of God once again, calling out to him.  This time the voice was in the midst of a house fire that left third-degree burns on his legs, telling him that “this is what it’s going to be like in hell.” He ultimately surrendered his life to the Lord and has been serving Him and seeking to obey the voice of God since.  He went on to be a minister of the gospel, evangelizing impoverished neighborhoods, and pastoring A New Beginning Ministries for over 30 years.  During his tenure as pastor, God provided resources so that he was able to purchase a facility with a vision to reach young people for Christ.  Brother Charles taught vocational skills offering juveniles and adults the ability to earn an honest income.   Brother Charles served in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.  After his military service, he attended and studied at Sinclair Community College, trained at National Cash Register (NCR) and taught mechanical skills part-time. Later, Brother Charles discovered an aptitude and skill for carpentry work and became an entrepreneur renovating homes and churches to care for his family.     He is married to a lovely woman named, Ellarie, whom when he first saw her, he was convinced she was going to be his wife.  They have now been married for the last 58 years.  Brother Charles is the proud father of ten living children and four who are in heaven.  He has 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.   Brother Charles is a man of faith that has seen God do miraculous things in his life and in the life of his family. He believes that his, “Greatest school has been the school of prayer, the school of on my knees”.  He is currently writing his first book, that will be released this year, entitled An Interview With the Man in Hell.   In his spare time, Brother Charles enjoys spending time with his family and studying the word of God.

Wait on God and you will reap the reward God will provide supernaturally Follow God’s instruction Guest Bio Linda Clay was born and raised in Clinton, North Carolina, upon graduating from high school, she moved to Bronx, New York.  She obtained a certification at the Computer Unlimited Programming School with 600 hours of computer operations and programming skills.  Unable to obtain a job in the computer operations field she moved back to NC. Not willing to work as a sharecropper or seamstress, she decided to join the Army in November 1982.  During Linda’s military career she was assigned to various posts that included, Fort Hood, Texas, Schweinfurt, Germany, The Joint Chief of Staff at the Pentagon, Osan, Air Force Base, South Korea, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida, and The Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon.  After serving in these high-profile positions she retired in November 2002. In 2001, Linda obtained her real estate license in the state of Virginia and is an active realtor with eXp Realty. Linda’s passion for real estate evolved into a ministry calling. She loves people and seeing their dreams come true.  She prays and seek God’s guidance, prior to showing clients homes. In 2012, she graduated as Cum de laude from Strayer University with a Bachelor Degree, in Business Management and obtained certifications in Human Resources from the Graduate School of USDA. Linda is the proud mother of two children.  A son 39, a daughter 34 and four grandkids who affectionately call her “Nana.”  God has anointed Linda to be one of his ambassadors to reignite fire within the lives of His people.

She enjoys finding creative outlets and volunteering in her spare time.    Leah and Prayer Prayer has always been a hiding place for Leah until El Roi showed her that prayer is so much more. When it comes to prayer, Leah has been described as an innovative and passionate prophetic voice for the Kingdom of God. She has spent most of her life in the study of the word of God in search for truth. Leah considers herself a student of prayer as the Lord continues to reveal His glory and power to her through the art of prayer.

Todays special guest is  Stephanie Jones of Pureflix's Busted Cribs!  Tune in as Stephanies shares her testimony and talks about the blessing in listening and obeying the voice of God.  We can trust that God will speak to us about His plan for our lives! Guest Bio Stephanie Jones is a creative graphic, 3D and interior designer, content creator, child of God, mother to four children and wife to Justin Jones with whom she currently owns and runs a Home Building and Remodeling business. Stephanie Jones grew up in Longwood, Florida and went to Flagler College in St. Augustine.  This journey took her to eventually work as a graphic and 3D designer at ION Television, which was her introduction to the film world of green screens, actors, producers, etc. During this time, her [first] marriage ended, which left Stephanie very broken. It was during this difficult time she learned to cling to God and His comfort.  About a year later, as she attended her church group, Stephanie met Justin who also came from a similar broken relationship with two children of his own.  It became clear to both of them that God had brought the two of them together to begin a new chapter of renewal. Shortly after Stephanie and Justin were married, Stephanie felt the Lord leading her to quit ION to work in some sort of ministry. She didn’t know what, exactly, but she knew quitting was going to be the first step. To her surprise, almost immediately after quitting she found out she was pregnant which lead to back-to-back pregnancies. Along the journey of forming a family, Justin, who is heavily involved in construction, decided to flip a home and have Stephanie help with the project. This turned out to be a big success and so they decided to do more. It was then that it clicked for Stephanie, that this new adventure of flipping and building homes was (one of) the ministries God was leading her to do. Stephanie saw each of these torn down homes renewed and restored as a parallel to her own story–once broken, but resurrected back to life through the caring, intimate love of Jesus Christ. Through this new mission and story, Justin and Stephanie created a YouTube show called “Busted Cribs” that brought this same message to others, reminding each and every person that there is always hope found in the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ who can restore and build over and over again. It is Stephanie’s desire to present this hope to women and families in multiple ways, such as through content she makes online, metaphors she provides through her business with her husband, sharing honest and true stories of overcoming hardships with the help of God, and blessing her clients with compassion. A common practice is that each home, underneath the drywall, are hand-written verses from Stephanie as she and Justin pray over each family that will live inside the home they are restoring and building.

Wynona Streaty was born, and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  As a young woman she relocated to Dayton, Ohio where she met and married Phil Streaty. Hill Biblical Institute where she received a certificate of completion. Elder Fisher is currently pursuing her psychology degree from Miami Dade College. Elder Fisher’s passion is for Prayer and Women in Ministry. This passion led her to become a member of The Grace Center Church of Miami Gardens, FL. While serving there, Elder Fisher was the lead servant over both the Intercessory Prayer and Women's Ministry.  One of Elder Fisher’s favorite sayings is ‘’God be God!!’’ for God’s perfect will for her life to be done. Whatever God has entrusted her with, she wants to be a blessing and wants God to get all the glory.

Guest Introduction Christine Susan Thrun was born in Uganda and moved and grew up in Kenya for several years.  She came to America, at the age of 18 to attend college.  She currently resides in Minnesota with her husband and 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.  They are an interracial family.  Susan is a Pharmacist by profession.  In her free time she enjoys taking long walks, and watching European movies based on life in the 1500s give or take a few 100 years.

He enjoys learning about God, math, playing football, and the piano. Cassaundra is a graduate of Wright State University.  She enjoys reading, writing, drawing, homeschooling her son, encouraging others, spending quality time with family, and learning.  Many years ago she gave her life to the Lord and has seen Him work miracles throughout her life. After experiencing the loss of her husband, a best friend, and her grandmother she used those experiences to share about God’s sovereignty, her faith, and trust in God.  Cassaundra is a Godly Lady wearing the crown of Jesus, planting seeds wherever she goes.  One of her favorite expressions is, “It’s another day’s journey, be glad about it.”

Evangelist Julia Burrs has been walking with the Lord for over 30 years. She is a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She has been involved in a variety of ministries throughout the years, but recently has been focused on outreach ministry and teaching the Word of God.  Her interests include reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Today's episode we're interviewing, the phenomenal Ellarie Wilson.  A woman of God that has dedicated her time and talents in ministry and service to others for over 40 years.  She is an encourager and has a great love for the people of God. Sister Ellarie knows the power of prayer and is passionate about studying and teaching the Word of God. An avid volunteer, Sister Ellarie has worked with Child Evangelism, the 4H Club, Reclaiming Futures, youth mentorship program and a number of other organizations in Montgomery County. Sister Ellarie has been married to Charles L. Wilson, Sr. for the past 57 years.  She faithfully served with him as the First Lady of A New Beginning Ministries for 35 years.  She is the mother of 10 beautiful children. Over the years, Sister Ellarie has been blessed to serve in many roles in the church, no task too great or small.  She is known for her love and generosity in helping those in need.  Although having a large family and household to run, she never let that stop her from being of service to others.  She’d often open the doors of her home to help other youth and single parent families.  An entrepreneur in her own right, for a period of time, she opened and ran ANB Thrift store to help support the church ministry. In her spare time, Sister Ellarie enjoys cooking and baking for her family and friends.  She also has a love for planting flowers in her garden.
