The True Strength Podcast

After working in the sports and fitness industry for over 30 years, Jeremiah and Tiffany Head are sitting down to discuss what it means to live and compete in your true identity. We have spent three decades in an industry that capitalizes on exposing and marketing to the brokenness in clients and a sports culture that says your value comes from your achievements and success, and what we have experienced is a revolving door of athletes who struggle with doubt, fear, and insecurity. But what if there was another way to approach fitness and competition? We believe there is. Why? Because of the radical transformation that we experienced in our own lives, in our business, and in the lives of the people we work with. Join us in this conversation and discover where your true strength lies.

Episode 19 - Even If, Congratulations: The Beatitudes Series Part 2

The invitation, the promise, and the hope that makes congratulations the kingdom response when we walk through the very thing that we would never choose. This is such a radical departure from the path that the world offers, but in typical Jesus fashion, this beatitude is flipping everything upside down. Jeremiah is diving into suffering, mourning, and the Kingdom.

Episode 18 - Even If, Congratulations: The Beatitudes Series Part 1

What does it mean to be blessed? Why does Jesus say “Congratulations” when I walk through the hardest moments of my life? What would our life look like if Jesus was King? These questions and more are what Jeremiah is walking us through in this first episode of a new series on the Beatitudes.

Episode 17 - Truth & Transformation Part 6: The Lies We Love

The thing that will stop transformation is the lie that you love. But what would it look like to embark on the dangerous departure from the lie that you think is keeping you safe? In this final episode of our Truth and Transformation series Tiffany shares the lie that she loves, and Jeremiah brings it back to scripture to show us what it looks like to fight the good fight of faith, to put on the belt of truth, and to stand up and stand firm.Truth & Transformation Journal Work PDF: Episode 6 Journal Work

Episode 16 - Truth & Transformation Part 5: True Identity

True Identity. What does scripture say about why it matters if we know the truth about who God is and who he says we are? Why does it matter in real life in 2026? And how can I hear what God calls me? These questions get answered as Jeremiah shares more about moving from a false identity into the person that God actually made him to be. And how even though he was very successful living as an angry person, it was when he heard what God calls him that he found out why God had given him all of his gifts.

Episode 15 -Truth & Transformation Part 4: Letting The Healer In

In this episode we are talking about the actual process of taking off the lies that we have been wearing so that we can put on the Belt of Truth instead. We are digging into the deep work of giving the healer access to the wounds that caused us to start covering ourselves in the first place. This week the journal work is also going deep so let’s dive in!Truth & Transformation Journal Work PDF: Episode 4 Journal Work

Episode 14 - Truth & Transformation Part 3: Jesus Loves Me, This I Believe

In this episode, Tiffany shares the one truth that unleashed the most radical transformation in her life. What would our life look like if we actually believed that Jesus loves us? In this third episode in the truth and transformation series we talk about the Breastplate of Righteousness and the reality that it is the most loving gift we could ever receive.

Episode 13 - Truth & Transformation Part 2: This Little Light Of Mine

Part 2 of the Truth and Transformation series starts with the question: If I believe in God, then why is it still so hard to believe that what He says is true? We are picking up right where we left off in our discussion about putting on the belt of truth. We dive deep on the idea that the battle that we need to be most concerned about is not what we do once we put on armor, but whether or not we get the armor on in the first place. Next, we jump into the topic of discipleship and how it is by becoming a disciple of Jesus that we will be able to get our belt of truth fastened, and then by discipling others that we spread the light of Jesus.Truth & Transformation Journal Work PDF:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BMRsI-RDZZlfXC442MD9u9tWorivvSYB/view?usp=share_link

    Episode 12 - Truth & Transformation Part 1

Welcome to the truth and transformation series. In this first episode we are talking about the true reality that, because of what Jesus did, we have access now to God and all that is his. The only thing that keeps us from accessing it is that we don’t believe that it is true. Truth is the catalyst for all transformation, but there is a very big difference between what we believe to be true and what is actually true, so the question is, which “truth” are you living in? We are also introducing the question: “What are you wearing?” Are you wearing truth or are you clothed in lies? This series will include a free downloadable Journal Work page that will help you to think more about what we talked about in each episode. We hope that it will bring you closer to the TRUTH and will help you to peel back any lies that might be keeping you from experiencing freedom and transformation. Truth & Transformation Journal Work PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IkeZAl5xego3tHSVNBnlKSrt--y_AMqw/view?usp=sharing

Episode 10 - Anger: The Poison & The Purpose

We are living in a world that has cultivated anger as a justified response to anything that opposes my way of thinking and believing, so it is no wonder that our headlines are constantly reporting violence, rage, and acts of contempt. There is this palpable dichotomy that we live in where, on one hand, anger is rampant, and on the other hand, righteous anger is noticeably absent. It’s easy to see the devastation that this is breeding, but much harder to know what causes it or how to stop it. The good news is that Jesus himself addressed it and so did our early church fathers in centuries old writings addressing what anger is, why God gave it to us, when to turn the other cheek, but also how we were designed to channel it through our unique identity to bring healing into this broken world.Today we are talking about the roots of anger that are being planted in the way we train up athletes in youth sports, about the contempt that festers in your women’s groups, and the greater problems related to anger that are poisoning society. But more importantly, we are talking about how God designed anger in us and what happens when we let the Holy Spirit bridle it in order to focus our passion and energy into being the answer to the brokenness around us. Join us as we take a closer look at The Sermon on the Mount from Matthew and unpack anger, malice, contempt, meekness, and how they can all work together to lead us closer to Jesus, our true identity, and our purpose.

Episode 9 - Letting Go Of The Leaderboard: Cultivating A Culture Without Comparison

When we reopened our gym we knew that we would do one thing different. We would not introduce a leaderboard into our culture. In this episode we discuss why we left the leaderboard out, lessons on growing culture that we learned the hard way, the psychology of comparison, and the unexpected fruit that we are seeing come out of a gym culture that doesn’t place any value on results. We certainly aren’t advocating for everyone to ditch the leaderboard, but we hope that this conversation might just make you think differently about your relationship with the leaderboard moving forward.

Episode 8 - Our CrossFit Games Recap: The Fall, The Rise, and The Voice of God

When we put a phoenix on our shirts for the CrossFit Games, we had no idea how perfect that image would be for what ended up happening. But despite it looking like we had somehow predicted the future, God had been showing us something way more powerful leading up to the CrossFit Games than how Jeremiah would finish in the competition. When God speaks, he isn’t telling us the future. He is telling us who he is. And that was the thing we stood on throughout our weekend that did not go the way we thought it would. Join us as we talk through the event and what we took away from it. We did bring home a third place medal, but the biggest take away was a better understanding of how simply walking through life connected to God and living as the person that he made you to be is enough to radically impact the people around you.

Episode 7 - Fight The Good Fight: We’re Headed To The CrossFit Games

What does “fight the good fight of faith” look like for Jeremiah this week as we head to the 2025 Masters CrossFit Games? Today he shares what is really going on in his head and what he is battling against as he steps onto the competition floor. And then Tiffany shares the story behind their family’s CrossFit Games T-shirt design. Join these two in another open and honest conversation about stepping into the biggest event in the sport and their testimony of God’s faithfulness in their lives that made it possible.

Episode 6 - Unstuck: Going Deeper Than Behavior Modification To Unlock Real Transformation

Have you ever felt stuck? You want to see change and you have tried everything you can think of and given it every ounce of will power you can find, but you keep feeling frustrated and defeated when nothing happens. In this episode, Jeremiah and Tiffany are picking up where they left off last week in their conversation about how transformation works at a psychological level and in the Kingdom. It turns out that modern research and Biblical truth line up to show that approaching transformation from an Identity-centric, inside-out model is how lasting and meaningful transformation occurs. They will start with finishing the explanation of the formula: confession + repentance = transformation, and then they will walk through the 5 levels of change in order to help you understand that when we focus on behavior modification in our lives, we are working at a very shallow level. It’s time to go deeper and to get to the core truths that have the power to unleash freedom and transformation in every area of our lives.

Episode 5: Peeled Apart: Tiffany’s Transformation From Wrapped In Anxiety To Standing In Truth

Tiffany opens up about how she overcame paralyzing anxiety after her business was forced to close in 2020 and how peeling off the lies that she had believed about herself and God made room for truth to become the stabilizing force that got her back on her feet. In this open and honest conversation about her story, Tiffany shares how the practical and Biblical - but not at all religious - act of “confession” changed her life, and how she walked through this process of getting honest with God. How much do we actually believe that God is who he says he is and how much do we trust him with everything in our lives? This episode will get straight into our core beliefs in order to unleash transformation and freedom at a core level.

  16. 3

Episode 4: Not The Identity Talk You’ve Already Heard

Everyone is talking about identity. But this is not the same surface level conversation that you have heard at least ten times already about how our identity is not in (fill in the blank) because our identity is in Christ. In this episode we are talking about the person that God designed you to be before he spoke the foundation of the earth into existence. Because when we understand the depth of our true identity, it begins to unlock our purpose in a deeper way too.

Episode 3: Truth and Transformation: The Radical Mindset Shift That Changes Everything

Everything that we do - the decisions we make, the way that we interact with other people, and ultimately whether or not we live a life of purpose and fulfillment - is driven by what we believe to be true. The problem is, we are so inundated with lies that truth has become lost in the noise. In this episode, Jeremiah and Tiffany invite you to question your entire worldview. Are you believing and therefore living in a reality that is built on the lie of scarcity? And what would happen if the truth of abundance - which is outlined throughout all of scripture - became the lens through which you see the world, the people in it, and every opportunity that you encounter throughout your life? It’s time for a radical mind shift!

Episode 2: From Fury To Freedom - Jeremiah's Journey From Angry Athlete To Called Competitor

In this episode, Jeremiah shares how he went from an angry athlete whose only goal was to demolish his opponents to an athlete who is determined to show everyone around him another way to compete at the highest level without using anger as fuel. In this honest conversation he opens up about the true cause of his anger, the false identity that he developed in order to protect himself from being pushed around, and what happened that changed everything about the way he now views competition. Find out what it means to find your true identity and how that has the power to unlock true strength.
