Not only were social media and Netflix major problems in my life, but I also struggled with another addiction that was even more shameful to me. I did everything that I could think of to try to overcome it. Everything. And yet, I could not seem to get real, lasting freedom. In today's episode, I am sharing the testimony of how the Lord set me free -- actually FREE -- from addiction. This is not a testimony of hearing God's voice like the others are, but it is a story of encountering the Lord's Presence and His power. I know many of you struggle with social media addictions, and maybe other addictions as well, so I pray that this gives you Biblical encouragement today and strengthens your faith in our great Jehovah Rapha -- the God who Heals You. I could not figure out why I was fatigued, and I was days away from going on my first backpacking trip. One morning, I woke up so exhausted that all I could think to do was cry out to the Lord. In this quiet time, the Holy Spirit revealed to me exactly what was going on with my health. I'm so excited to share this prayer testimony with you and the extra little detail the Lord through in to give me real time Biblical encouragement when I needed it most. I hope that this testimony of hearing God's voice is encouraging to your faith and gives you a push to press into the prophetic and into hearing the voice of God for yourself.

Does God care about small inconveniences in our lives? Can I ask the Lord questions about my every day life? Will I really hear God's voice about these things? We're back with another prayer testimony of hearing God's voice, and this one centers around something really small: a sore throat. This particular story is one of my favorites because it combines God's heart for His kiddos with His heart for healing. Hearing different things at different times is the just the pits. Can we all agree on that?! Between the confusion, the feeling of pressure closing in, and maybe even worse than both of those things... the feeling that God is distant. It's just not not not fun. So, let's talk about it. Hearing one thing one day and then another thing another day? Our 20s our filled with BIG questions. "Should I take this job?" "Is he my future husband?" "Should I move to this new city?" "Will this person be a good roommate?" There's a lot that we want God to speak into. Today, we're talking about the difficult side of asking God questions: waiting on His timing for answers. Feeling like your spiritual growth is non-existent? Getting discouraged in your Bible reading plan? Today, we've got a little something fun to shake things up a little... Bible Trivia! Often, we can feel that we aren't learning quickly enough or we may even feel like we haven't grown at all. We may have our favorite Bible study tools at the ready, we may stick to our Bible reading plan, practice daily prayer, and even sit in silence trying to hear the Holy Spirit -- which are all wonderful things! But, when it starts to feel like a chore, that's when we gotta shake things up and get out of that religious mindset. Spiritual growth is a journey, not some destination we need to run to as fast as we can. So, I pulled together two dear friends Kris and Bex (Rebecca) to play a game of Bible Trivia -- which one stimulation. We had to come up with the questions on our own from things that we had discovered on our own. And, guess what? It was so much fun.  We highly encourage you to get a group of friends together to play your own version. It's a great way to see how you really do notice amazing details in Scripture (thank you, Holy Spirit working in us!) and it stirs up a desire to know more and grow in Biblical knowledge.
