Using the S-4 as a looper, I recorded some sounds from the Prophet-10, the Machinedrum, and the Osmose, then warped them more or less subtly. On top of that, I crafted a very minimal beat with the Machinedrum. During the recording, I tweaked a few parameters on the S-4 and shifted pitches. The Super Locrian scale worked really well for this. The Erica Synths Acidbox III and the TC Electronic M3000 added some serious flavor to the sound at times, while the IGS Volf gave the Machinedrum some extra punch. In a second pass, I improvised a bowed pad on the Osmose.

Ein Tag, der sich im Grau verliert, ein Raum, der Kälte denkt. Ein Abschnitt, der sich selbst kopiert und jede Wärme senkt.

Oscillating systems in dialogue: 200e, Moog Muse, Digitakt, Osmose, Portabella. Pulses orbit, amplify, destabilize — a function test under controlled uncertainty. Between analog envelopes and digital timing, a tension field emerges: structure meets disruption. “Operationsverstärker” doesn’t present a result — it documents the process itself.

"Such a Surge" is a slow-burning track. Distorted crackling drones rise and fall in waves, while heavy 808s and sharp percussions create a dense, dark pressure. In contrast, a playful lead line cuts through the weight, hinting at irony or lightness amidst the storm. A sonic wave of contradictions—powerful, abstract, and strangely uplifting. The accompanying video extends this experience into a visual realm: rendered in Blender, it features evolving abstract flowfields—like analog currents caught in motion. These dynamic forms mirror the track’s tension and release, translating sonic pressure into mesmerizing visual momentum.
