I used to give a lot of unsolicited advice and then I'd get really frustrated when people didn't take it and I'd watch them suffer for it. Now I just let people get things wrong; it's freeing. In this episode, I talk about why I quit my job, how my mindset on quitting changed, and what I hope they learn from me quitting. I also talk about how God gave me this job, the season when it was a blessing, and how I could tell the well was running dry (aka when it wasn’t a such blessing anymore). These lessons I learned can be applied across the board: at your job (whether you're a supervisor, boss, or regular worker bee employee), situationships, in friendships, family relationships (this one is important) and anywhere else you need them. We need to talk about expressing needs, showing appreciation, and quitting at the right time. By the way, after I quit that job, my time opened up for more meaningful activities like connecting with friends ✨IN PERSON✨ and working on artistic projects (like my podcast)!
