Where is your Voice
by Erika
Hi, my name is Erika and the LORD Jesus Christ, has been in life my whole life but I wasn't always opening myself up to receive him. Through many trials, setbacks, hurts, brokenness and sadness. I finally decided to allow him in my life and that was the best choice I ever made. Through this journey Jesus has taught me a lot about myself and shown me true love. So now I want to give some of the love Jesus showed me back on to others. This is why I was led to do Where is your Voice podcast because I noticed in my life that, the one thing that was missing was my voice and I know how important that is for others to be able to have a voice. So, my podcast is intended to help others through Jesus Christ to gain their voice back and their relationship with Jesus. I truly hope you listen and add input, ask questions but please let me know you are here so we can connect and share more love with each other while we share our love for Jesus Christ.

When the Storm Hits | How to Stand on God’s Word in Hard Seasons
Send us Fan MailThere are seasons in life that hit harder than we ever expected. Sometimes the storm becomes so overwhelming that we begin questioning ourselves, our faith, and even wondering whether God is angry with us.In this episode, I’m speaking from inside my own storm and sharing what the Holy Spirit has been teaching me about staying rooted when life feels uncertain.Jesus told us about two houses in Matthew 7. One was built on the rock and one on the sand—but both houses experienced the storm. Following God does not mean the rain will never come. The difference is what you are standing on when it does.I share the practical and spiritual things that have helped restore my peace: going to church even when I wanted to isolate, getting completely honest with God, speaking Scripture back to fear and lies, surrendering the outcome to God’s will, worshiping through tears, remembering Jesus through communion, and refusing to stay down after the storm knocks me over.If you are going through something difficult right now, I pray this episode reminds you that crying does not mean you have lost your faith. Feeling afraid does not mean God has abandoned you. You can be hurting and still be standing on the Rock. The storm may be new, but God’s faithfulness is not.00:00 When the storm hits 02:30 The two houses: rock vs. sand 04:45 What if you’re actually doing everything right? 06:10 Go to church when you want to isolate 09:30 How God comforted me through His people 12:00 Get completely honest with God 14:45 Speak back to the lies with God’s Word 18:00 Surrender the outcome to God’s will 21:00 Worship in the middle of the storm 23:30 The power of communion and remembrance 26:00 Don’t stay down—get back up again 28:15 Prayer and final encouragement#Faith #Jesus #God #Christian #Prayer #Storm #Hope #Worship #Bible #Encouragement #Healing #Trust #Peace #Faithfulness #Christianity#whereisyourvoice#testimony#healing#loss#freedomwhen the storm hits, Christian encouragement, going through a storm, trusting God in hard times, how to trust God, faith during difficult times, Christian podcast, standing on the rock, Matthew 7 24 27, God’s faithfulness, finding peace in God, worship during hard times, prayer during difficult seasons, surrendering to God’s will, communion remembrance, Christian motivation, overcoming fear with Scripture, speaking truth over lies, trusting God’s plan, Holy Spirit comfort, how to keep faith during trials, God is with you, Christian testimony, Where Is Your Voice podcastSupport the show

The Voice of Trauma | When Your Wounds Start Speaking-Walking in Discernment Ep. 6/Audio Version
Send us Fan Mail Walking in Discernment Ep. 6: The Voice of Trauma | When Your Wounds Start SpeakingTrauma can end in the past and still keep speaking in the present. In Episode 6 of the Walking in Discernment series, we’re talking about The Voice of Trauma—how unhealed wounds can affect your identity, your relationships, your confidence, your habits, and even the way you respond to people who never hurt you.Trauma can whisper:“You’re not worthy.” “You’re not capable.” “You have to be perfect.” “Just isolate.” “Protect yourself before they hurt you.” “Don’t trust anybody.”But just because a thought comes from a painful experience does not mean it deserves authority over your future. In this episode, I also share part of my own testimony of what happened after one of the most traumatic relationships of my life. I isolated myself and began reaching for alcohol, binge eating, video games, and other things that felt comforting at the time. I convinced myself, “At least this is better than what I went through.”But relief is not always healing. We’ll also look at Jephthah and how rejection can influence the way we respond from our wounds, Joseph and how he refused to allow betrayal to turn him bitter, and Jesus—the greatest example of forgiveness.Forgiveness does not mean what happened to you was okay. It does not mean you have to trust that person again or remove healthy boundaries. Forgiveness means you stop allowing what they did to keep controlling what happens next.Your trauma may explain some of your wounds, but it does not get to name you.You survived it. Now let God teach you how to live free from it.This episode is spiritual encouragement and is not a replacement for professional mental-health care. Prayer is powerful, and God heals, but if trauma is severely affecting your ability to function, feel safe, sleep, maintain relationships, or live your everyday life, please do not be ashamed to seek appropriate support.TIMESTAMPS00:00 – The Voice of Trauma 01:30 – What Is Trauma? 03:00 – How Unhealed Wounds Speak 04:30 – Voice #1: “You’re Not Worthy” 07:00 – Voice #2: “You’re Not Capable” 09:30 – Voice #3: “You Have to Be Perfect” 12:00 – Voice #4: “Just Isolate” + My Testimony 15:30 – Jephthah: Responding From the Wound 18:30 – Joseph: Healing Without Bitterness 21:00 – Voice #6: “Don’t Trust Anybody” 23:30 – Jesus, Forgiveness & Letting God Handle Justice 27:00 – Encouragement & ClosingYou can adjust these timestamps once you know the final video length.Next Episode: Walking in Discernment Ep. 7 — The Voice of Addiction#Trauma #Healing #Discernment #Forgiveness #Jesus #Christianity #Faith #Bible #God #Freedom #Identity #ChristianPodcast #Testimony #Restoration #WalkingInDiscernmentthe voice of trauma, Walking in Discernment episode 6, Christian trauma healing, trauma and Christianity, healing from trauma with God, trauma and forgiveness, Christian podcast trauma, unhealed trauma, trauma response, trauma and isolation, trauma and perfectionism, trauma and identity, trauma and trust, healing emotional wounds, forgiveness after trauma, Jephthah trauma, Joseph forgiveness, Jesus forgiveness, Christian discernment, hearing God versus trauma, overcoming trauma biblically, Christian mental health, God heals trauma, childhood trauma Christian, relationship trauma healing, betrayal trauma Christian, trauma testimony, letting go of the past, God is a God of justice, Romans 12:19, Psalm 147:3, Walking in Discernment series Support the show

Send us Fan MailIn Episode 5 of the Walking in Discernment series, we’re exposing The Voice of Anxiety.Anxiety can sound like “What if?”, “You need to control this,” “Figure it out now,” “Just escape,” or even “Try harder—you’re still not enough.” And if we don’t recognize where those thoughts are coming from, they can begin affecting our relationships, decisions, peace, confidence, and even our walk with God.In this episode, I also share my personal experience with anxiety, how it once felt like torment, and what helped me learn to recognize that voice and take those thoughts captive. We’ll talk about anxiety and control, relationships, escapism, maladaptive daydreaming, perfectionism, waiting on God, forgiveness, surrender, and the pressure to feel “Christian enough.”IMPORTANT: This episode discusses anxiety from a spiritual and emotional perspective. 8 Powerful Benefits of Dwelling on the Crucifixion - Audio Version

READY TO GIVE UP? The Voice of Defeat | Walking in Discernment Ep. 4 - Audio Version
Send us Fan Mail Have you ever reached a place where you wanted to give up—not because God told you to stop, but because you were tired of fighting?Maybe you've prayed, tried, waited, stayed consistent, and still haven't seen the results you expected. Maybe another battle showed up right after you finally made it through the last one. Or maybe you've been stuck in the same circumstances for so long that you've started believing, “This is just who I am.”In Episode 4 of the Walking in Discernment series, we're exposing the voice of defeat and learning how to recognize when discouragement is trying to convince us to quit before God has told us the battle is over. We're talking about four voices defeat often uses:Throughout this episode, we'll look at Jairus, David and Goliath, Elijah, Joshua, Moses, Gideon, and Nathanael to see how the voice of defeat appeared in Scripture—and how God answered it.When Jairus was told his daughter had died, the message was essentially: Why bother anymore? But Jesus told him, “Don't be afraid; just believe.” (Mark 5:36)When David stood before Goliath, he understood that there was a cause worth fighting for. When Elijah became exhausted after an incredible victory, God showed us that feeling depleted after a battle doesn't mean everything is over. When Moses and Gideon focused on why they weren't qualified, God reminded them that He would be with them. And when Nathanael asked, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” we see how easy it is to allow someone's circumstances or background to determine what we believe can come from them. One of the greatest weapons against defeat is remembrance.Joshua 12 gives us a list of defeated kings—and sometimes we need to make our own list.Remember the battles God already brought you through.Remember the prayers He already answered.Remember the doors He already opened.Remember what you thought you would never overcome.Remember who you were before God brought you this far.Don't let the king standing in front of you make you forget all the kings God already defeated behind you.If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who has been feeling defeated or ready to give up. The Voice of Betrayal: Walking in Discernment Ep. 3 - Audio Version
Send us Fan Mail The Voice of Betrayal: Is It Discernment or Are You Expecting to Be Hurt Again? | Walking in Discernment Ep. 3Have you ever been betrayed so deeply that you started expecting everyone else to eventually hurt you too?Betrayal has a voice. It says:“Here we go again.”“You can’t trust anybody.”“You’re better off alone.”“Don’t let anybody play with you again.”And sometimes, after being hurt repeatedly, that voice can become so convincing that we mistake it for discernment from God.In Episode 3 of Walking in Discernment, we’re talking about The Voice of Betrayal and what happens when past hurt begins speaking into new relationships, friendships, workplaces, churches, and opportunities.I share my own testimony of experiencing betrayal throughout my life—including friendships, relationships, family, and the workplace—and how God had to show me that just because something happened before doesn’t automatically mean it is happening again. In this episode, we talk about:• How betrayal can disguise itself as discernment• Recognizing familiar patterns without automatically assuming the same outcome• The difference between real red flags and red flags created by fear• How unrealistic expectations can make disappointment feel like betrayal• Why expecting people to become who you want them to be can damage relationships• Why betrayal makes isolation feel safer• Learning to trust people again without abandoning boundaries• How betrayal can make you defensive, angry, and unwilling to extend grace• The mental “replay” of betrayal, lies, broken promises, and conversations• Unforgiveness and the root of bitterness• How to forgive someone who betrayed you• How to stop checking social media and searching for answers• How to take your thoughts captive• How to hear God’s voice when your wounds are speaking loudly• How Jesus responded to Judas and what His betrayal can teach us• Healing without becoming hardened• Loving people as individuals instead of making them pay for what someone else didBetrayal may have taught you to watch your back, question people's motives, isolate yourself, or expect the worst. But healing doesn't mean ignoring red flags. It means learning to discern without allowing your wounds to make the decision for you.You can have boundaries and still have a soft heart. You can pay attention without becoming paranoid. You can recognize familiar patterns without assuming everybody has the same intentions. And you can forgive without giving everybody unlimited access to your life.📖 Scriptures discussed:Matthew 7:161 John 4:11 Corinthians 13:5Ephesians 2:10Ecclesiastes 4:9–10Colossians 3:13James 1:19Hebrews 12:152 Corinthians 10:5Philippians 4:8Ephesians 4:32Philippians 2:13If this episode speaks to you, subscribe, share it with someone healing from betrayal, and leave a comment:What has betrayal been saying to you that you now realize may not be the voice of God?This is Walking in Discernment: Episode 3 — The Voice of Betrayal.Betrayal can teach you a lesson without becoming your teacher. Is This Fear... Or God? | Walking in Discernment Episode 2 | Hearing God's Voice - Audio Version
Send us Fan Mail Walking in Discernment | Episode 2: Fear's Voice vs. God's Voice | Is This Fear... Or God? How do you know if you're hearing God's voice... or the voice of fear? In Episode 2 of the Walking in Discernment series, we explore one of the most common voices Christians struggle to recognize: fear. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has not given us the spirit of fear, yet fear often disguises itself as wisdom, caution, or even discernment. In this episode, we'll compare fear's voice with God's voice so you can begin making decisions rooted in faith instead of fear. We'll discuss: ✔ Fear of control ✔ Fear of lack ✔ Fear of loss ✔ Fear of death and grief ✔ Fear of change ✔ Fear of inadequacy and failure ✔ Fear of people and their opinions Each topic is grounded in Scripture, practical examples, and biblical encouragement to help you recognize fear, surrender it to God, and walk confidently in His truth. If you've ever wondered whether a thought is coming from fear or from God, this episode will help you test it against God's Word and grow in biblical discernment. How God Works All Things Together for Good | A Christian Testimony of God's Faithfulness - AUDIO VERSION
Send us Fan MailHow God Works All Things Together for Good | A Christian Testimony of God's FaithfulnessHave you ever looked back on your life and realized that what felt like the worst moment was actually God preparing you for something greater? In this Christian testimony, I share one of the most personal stories I've ever told. What began with a sick cat turned into a journey that involved bottle-fed kittens, my daughter's mental health crisis, my own surrender to God, freedom from addiction, and ultimately witnessing God's faithfulness in ways I never could have imagined. At the time, none of it made sense.Every event seemed random.Every layer felt disconnected. But when I looked back, I realized God had been working behind the scenes the entire time. This testimony is for anyone who has ever wondered: Why did God allow this? Is God still with me? Can God use my pain for good? How do I trust God when life doesn't make sense? If you're in a difficult season, I pray this testimony reminds you that God is never absent. Even when you can't see Him working, He is preparing, protecting, and weaving together a story that only He can write."And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." — Romans 8:28 (KJV)💬 I'd love to hear from you. If God Gave You a Promise… Why Are You Still Waiting? | EP 2 AUDIO VERISON
Send us Fan MailWelcome to Episode 2 of the Seasons Series on the Where Is Your Voice Podcast. If God gave you a promise… why does it sometimes feel like nothing is happening? Many believers struggle with the waiting season. You pray, you trust God, you believe the promise… but the door still hasn't opened yet. In this episode we talk about what God is actually doing while you're waiting and why waiting seasons are often part of God's process of preparation. Throughout Scripture we see that many of God's people had to endure seasons of waiting before stepping into what God had promised them. From Joseph and David to Hannah and the people of Israel, waiting was never wasted. God was developing character, faith, discernment, and obedience before the promise was fulfilled. In this episode we talk about: • Why God allows waiting seasons • The benefits of waiting on God • 4 signs you may be in a waiting season • What you should be doing while you wait • 4 signs your waiting season may be coming to an end Waiting seasons are not punishment. Often they are preparation for what God is about to do next. If you feel like God has given you a promise but the timeline isn’t making sense, this message will help you understand what God may be doing beneath the surface. 🎙️ Podcast: Where Is Your Voice 📖 Series: The Seasons Series Episode 1: The Seed Planted Episode 2: The Waiting Season Episode 3: The Wilderness Season (next episode) If this message encouraged you, make sure to subscribe, like, and share so more people can hear messages about faith, healing, and learning to walk with God in every season. waiting on God, why God makes you wait, waiting season Christian, trusting God's timing, why am I still waiting on God, God gave me a promise but nothing is happening, Christian encouragement waiting season, faith during waiting season, biblical waiting season, Joseph waiting on God, David waiting to become king, Hannah praying for a child, waiting for God's promise, Christian podcast faith, trusting God in difficult seasons, spiritual growth seasons, what God is doing while you wait, God's timing vs our timing, Christian teaching waiting season, seasons of faith, spiritual development with God, patience in the Bible, prayer during waiting season, fasting and seeking God, Christian motivation faith, faith and perseverance Bible, trusting God when nothing is happening, waiting on God's promises, Christian spiritual maturity, learning God's voice, God preparing you for the next season, Bible teaching podcast, Christian encouragement podcast, growing in faith with God, biblical faith journey #waitingongod #christianpodcast #faithjourney #trustinggod #godsplan #faithoverfear #christianencouragement #biblicalteaching #christianmotivation #waitingseason #godsword #christianlife #jesus #holyspirit #christianfaith #bibleteaching #christiancontent #spiritualgrowth #trustgodstiming #faithpodcast #christianyoutube #biblicalwisdom #pray #fastingandprayer #christianinspiration #godspromises #trustinggodstiming #faithwalk #kingdommindset #godsvoice #christiancreator #wherisyourvoice #christianwomen #biblicaltruth #faithmessage #bibleencouragement Support the show

Discerning Your Season: The 7 Spiritual Seasons Series. (Planting Season)
Send us Fan MailIn this episode of the Where Is Your Voice podcast, we begin a powerful new teaching series called Discerning Your Season: The 7 Spiritual Seasons Series. Many believers struggle to understand what God is doing in their life. Doors open and close, desires change, and seasons shift—but often we don’t recognize which season God has us in. In this first episode, we explore The Planting Season. The planting season is the stage where God begins placing seeds inside of your heart. You may begin noticing new desires, a deeper hunger for Jesus, growth in the fruit of the Spirit, and small glimpses of purpose that weren’t there before. Just like a seed grows beneath the surface before fruit appears, much of what God does in this season happens internally. In this teaching we cover: • 4 signs you may be in the planting season • How sanctification prepares the soil of your heart • Why God begins with relationship before purpose • What God may be trying to teach you in this season • Practical things you should do while God is planting seeds in your life We also talk about the importance of journaling, small consistent steps, giving yourself grace, and trusting the process God has started in you. If you have ever felt like God is beginning something in your life but you can’t fully explain it yet, this episode will help you recognize what may be happening. Make sure you subscribe and follow the series, because in the next episode we will explore The Waiting Season, which is often the most difficult season believers experience after the seed has been planted. 🎧 Podcast: Where Is Your Voice 📖 Teaching Series: Discerning Your Season Christian podcast spiritual seasons with God what season are you in spiritually Christian growth stages discerning God's season how God develops purpose spiritual growth process sanctification process Christian fruit of the Spirit growth Christian personal growth biblical seasons teaching God's timing in life Christian purpose journey understanding God's process spiritual maturity journey how God calls people Christian discipleship teaching faith development stages #ChristianPodcast #FaithJourney #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianTeaching #GodsTiming #FaithInGod #SpiritualSeasons #ChristianEncouragement #ChristianYouTube #BiblicalTeaching #FaithDevelopment #TrustGodsProcess #Sanctification #FruitOfTheSpirit #ChristianMotivation #ChristianWomen #ChristianContent #ChristianSpeaker #ChristianFaith #GrowInFaith #PurposeInGod #DiscerningGodsVoice #GodsPlan #ChristianLife #FaithWalk #ChristianInspiration #BibleTeaching #ChristianLeadership #FaithBasedContent #TrustInGod #ChristianCommunity #GodIsWorking #ChristianPodcastHost #JesusCentered #KingdomPurpose Support the show

In this episode of Where Is Your Voice, Erika breaks down 12 biblical signs of a wicked heart—not to label or demonize people, but to help believers gain discernment, clarity, and protection in their relationships. Many people stay stuck in toxic cycles because they don’t have language for what they’re experiencing. They forgive, pray, and try to make peace—yet the chaos, manipulation, and harm keep repeating. Scripture actually speaks directly to this. This episode walks through: What “wicked” means in the Bible (and what it doesn’t)How to discern spiritual fruit without dehumanizing peopleCommon patterns of manipulation, deception, and spiritual abuseWhy wickedness often looks like it’s “winning” for a whileHow God brings justice—without you having to fight, expose, or retaliateThis teaching is Christ-centered, Scripture-anchored, and healing-focused. Why God still hasn’t given you the desires of your heart
Send us Fan MailHave you ever wondered why God still hasn’t given you the desires of your heart — even though you’ve been praying, fasting, and trying to do the right thing? In this episode, we break down Psalm 37:4 the way it was meant to be understood — not as a transaction, but as a transformation. We talk about why some desires don’t come from our healed heart, but from wounds, idolatry, fear, or unmet validation, and why God, as a loving Father, refuses to answer prayers that would ultimately harm us.Through biblical context, personal testimony, and Scripture, we explore:How unhealed wounds can disguise themselves as “desires”Why God sometimes withholds things to protect His gloryThe danger of creating modern-day “golden calves”How God tests and processes us before releasing promisesWhy faith without action is dead — and what preparation actually looks likeHow desires shift the closer we get to GodWhy delay does NOT mean denialThis episode is not meant to discourage you — it’s meant to realign you.God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop surrendering. And don’t lose heart — because what God has for you may not look like what you imagined, but it will be far greater than what you hoped or dreamed.✨ Reflection Prompt: Grab a journal and write:What are my current desires? What do I believe Jesus’ desires are for me right now? ABOUT THIS SHOW
Hi, my name is Erika and the LORD Jesus Christ, has been in life my whole life but I wasn't always opening myself up to receive him.
