Siguiendo el hilo del programa anterior, hoy vamos a hablar sobre dos cantatas que pertenecen, al igual que la cantata BWV 62 de la que hablamos la semana pasada, al segundo ciclo de cantatas que Johann Sebastian Bach compuso cuando trabajó como cantor en Santo Tomás de Leipzig. Las cantatas de este segundo ciclo son conocidas como cantatas “corales”, en las que Bach utiliza la melodía de un coral preexistente para componerlas. ¿Y cómo lo hace? ¿Cómo utiliza este coral? Pues dependiendo de la cantata. En muchas de ellas, como en las dos que nos ocupan hoy, utiliza la melodía de este coral preexistente en la voz más aguda, en la soprano; y hace una armonización, es decir, escribe otras tres voces. En otras la utiliza en el bajo o en las voces intermedias. Estas dos cantatas que escucharemos son la BWV 20 y 41. Además, estrenamos nueva sección en el programa: Recomendaciones Discográficas.
