En mai 1944, un an après l'arrestation de Jean Moulin, un vague d'arrestation dirigée par Klaus Barbie a lieu à Lyon, décimant le comité militaire de Zone Sud du mouvement de résistance FTP (Francs Tireurs et Partisans).Les soupçons de trahison se portent sur Lucien Boulanger (un pseudonyme). Alsacien, né en Allemagne de père français et de mère allemande, il est rentré dans le mouvement avec l'aide de Moscou qui l'a mis en relation avec l'appareil clandestin du Parti. Mais qui est-il vraiment ? Un responsable communiste important ? un agent double nazi, comme l'affirme un gestapiste, spécialiste du renseignement arrêté en 1946 ? Quels ont été les rôles des communistes français et soviétiques dans cette affaire ?
