Behind the scenes of racing events and the communities who support them :) Check out this episode for an inside look at what goes into our favorite events. This is a perspective we all need to hear! We truly have the best community around, and I have no doubt you'll be inspired to cross the finish after exploring the how and the why behind our sport. When does planning start? How did covid impact races? What do race directors do about cheating? How is the community involved and does the race impact the people along the course? What are the biggest concerns for RD's? Weather complications, and how do they prepare for hazardous conditions? What are the rules and why are those rules important? Our guest today is Greg Weber, the RD for the Buffalo marathon. In this episode,  we'll also talk about the tragic shooting at the Tops grocery store in Buffalo days before the marathon and how the community came together to support each other on race day. A special thanks to Greg and all the passionate volunteers who keep us coming back together. This episode is proof that good is the new cool!
