My Navy Story: How it Changed My Life

from Why Not #DoBoth with Kellie Sbrocchi · host Kellie Hall Sbrocchi

"You're in the Navy?! Why did you join the Navy" -- I hear this questions a minimum  of 3x a week, maybe more. I joined the Navy July 1st, 2010 + it's been a crazy 10 years of unexpected moves, connects, friends made and friends lost, + everything in between. Although I came from a Navy family + extensive Navy background, that isn't ultimately why I joined the Navy. To this day, I forget that choosing a career in the Navy is something really rare and incredible. The longer I choose to stay in active-duty as a Naval Officer, the more I realize that dedicating your life to a career of Naval Service really is something to celebrate. In this episode, I'm real, raw, transparent, and addressing all the rumors, reasons, and all-things regarding my Navy Journey so far. A lot of you think "I couldn't do it" not me, but you'll find our stories and reason may be more similar than you think. I don't see the Navy as who I am, I see it as what I do, it's the aspects of the Navy--service, tradition, dedication--which has led me to become who I am today. Tune in to hear how the Navy changed my life and why I'd do it all over again. ______________ Interested in Navy opportunities or a career in the Navy?
