Blaine Mathieu, My Journey with Lucid Motors & a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring EV-Encore
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! One year ago, I hosted my first guest on Lucid Driver! To celebrate the anniversary of this milestone, here is an encore of that episode. Thank Blaine for being the first. This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome Blaine Mathieu. I am honored a tech CEO who happens to be the owner of one of the world’s beautiful vehicles agreed to be my guest on only the second episode of Lucid Driver. From Blaine’s Blog:“Let's get something straight: I am not a professional car reviewer. (If you are looking for that, check out Dan Neil at the WSJ - he's amazing.) I am not even an amateur car reviewer - I have never published a word about cars in my life. What I am is the CEO of a Silicon Valley startup that loves vehicles. My wife is the Head of Product at a different company. Together we have owned every manner of car over the last 20 years including a Nissan 370Z convertible, a 1958 Triumph TR3A (pictured here on the website), a huge Buick Enclave, a plug-in Toyota Prius Prime, a bright green Range Rover Evoque 2-door SUV, and a bunch of things in between. The 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring is our first fully-electric car, and I thought it would be fun to share our real-world experiences and impressions over the next few years. Enjoy!”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Lawrence Richardson, 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Lawrence Richardson as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Lawrence is a recent purchaser of a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring. Lawrence told me, “I am retired after having worked for thirty something years with a Fortune 500 mining/manufacturing aluminum company. I had assignments in Suriname, South America for 5 years, and Guinea, West Africa for 4 years, and various assignments in several US cities. I am currently living in Atlanta, GA. I spend my time now volunteering, golfing, and gardening/landscaping around the house. My EV experience started in 2014. Coming from a BMW 6 series, I was not in the market for another car. I had heard about Tesla, and was curious, so decided to take a test drive for the hell of it. Big mistake. Figured out a way to afford it and purchased Tesla Model S a few months later. Shortly thereafter became a 2 Tesla household. No gas vehicles or tools since 2015. Moved from Tesla to Mercedes Benz EQS 450+ (current), Nissan Leaf (very briefly), and Rivian R1T (current). Veteran EV road tripper, even before supercharger network widely available. Early member of EVHybrid Noire.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

McFarland Arts
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Alphonzo McFarland as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Alphonzo is the creator of McFarland Arts. Alphonzo told me, “I've always had a passion for cars. My father owned a custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air—a hot rod featuring small front wheels and dramatic dragster wheels in the back. Though he wasn't around often, that car left a lasting impression on me. I thought it was incredible. As a kid, I drew cars constantly, trying to capture their essence on paper. I could only manage profile views, so I sketched them everywhere: homework assignments, napkins, scraps of paper—anything I could find. Growing older, art became my true passion, but my fascination with cars never faded into the background. At thirteen, I bought my first hobby-grade RC car—a kit you build from the ground up with servos and motors—to understand how vehicles actually worked. I was hooked. I progressed to gas-powered RC cars, and as an artist, I could express myself through custom paint schemes and creative designs. Eventually, I moved into advanced electric RC cars and started racing them seriously. Throughout college, I honed my artistic skills and earned a degree in graphic design and illustration. Later, I transitioned into computer animation, which taught me to visualize objects in motion and three-dimensional space—skills that deepened my understanding of design. Today, I notice that most electric vehicles on the market lack visual imagination. They feel generic. A few months ago, I spotted a car I'd never seen before—a Lucid Air. Its styling was striking: elegant lines, thoughtful proportions, and genuine character. I researched it and became captivated. Since I was already designing AI-generated vehicles online, I decided to experiment with the Lucid platform, exploring creative variations and new possibilities within its design language. That curiosity sparked my current passion: reimagining what the Lucid line of vehicles could become. Joerg Maass, Owner in Germany, Lucid Air Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Joerg Maass as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I “met” Joerg online when I posted some like this celebratory milestone on my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook Group: “Lucid Driver reached our 60th country today but I have yet to host an international guest.” Well, I’d like to give a big welcome to my first international guest, Jorg Maab of Germany! By the way, in the weeks since reaching 60 countries, we are now up to country #70! Great for the podcast, and in my view a positive sign for Lucid Motors. Joerg told me, “I am 61 years old and a freelance IT consultant specializing in security and operations management. I mainly work for large corporations, currently for Germany’s largest steel producer and a bank. I’m married to a Canadian with two grown up kids, one is currently doing her master’s in biology, and my son plans to join the police force after his voluntary year in social services. I like technology, speed, aeronautics (I was an avid skydiver) and water and am an active sailor, shipping tourists around in a sailboat on a Bavarian lake. I also like history and politics and follow political events closely. I got interested in Lucid when I read about them in some publications and saw pictures of the Air. At the time, I was driving an Alfa Romeo Q4 Veloce, not a slow car by any means, but I was interested in electric cars and thought the Lucid Air might be a good, but expensive, match. I arranged for a test drive in Munich as soon as Lucid came to Germany and was blown away by the Dream Edition. I also test drove cars like the Lotus Emeya, BYD Han, Nio ET7, Pole Star 2 and HiPhi X. None of them compared to the Lucid, so I decided to take the leap and leased my black (with aluminum) Touring in October 2024.Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Kevin Andrews and His Unique Lucid Air Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Kevin Andrews as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I “met” Kevin online when he posted the following: “Today's NJ Lucid Owners Club Event. My green Air found a green Gravity buddy!” Well, Lucid Airs do not come in green from the plant, so I thought it would be fun to invite Kevin on the podcast, responding, “Wow a unique Air. I’m inviting you to come on Lucid Driver Podcast and talk about it. Mine is Fathom Blue—I’m green with envy.” Kevin agreed as he responded, “Sure, it would be fun.” (Kevin was right.) Kevin, originally from Venezuela told me, “I work in IT leadership in the medical device industry, so my day-to-day is all about technology and making complex systems actually work in the real world. I’ve always had a really strong tech mindset—I’m constantly analyzing, optimizing, and automating everything I can. That carries into my hobbies too. I’m really into cars and try to get on a racetrack at least once a year, although I haven’t taken an EV out on track yet. That same mindset is what drew me to Lucid. I drive a Lucid Air Touring, and I don’t really see it as just a car—it’s more like a high-end tech platform that I get to evaluate every day, both from a systems perspective and a driving perspective. So, I’m excited to talk about what it’s really like to own, where it stands out, and how it compares from both a tech and performance angle.” Similar words to many I have received from Lucid owners who are often in IT, engineering, operations. But don’t lump Kevin in with everyone else. After all it is very unlikely other Lucid owners have a ride quite like his!Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Rae Millen’s Lucid Gravity, Nine Months Later
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome back Rae Millen as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I hosted Rae back in August 2025 when both his Lucid Gravity and Lucid Driver podcast were both relatively new. Well, that episode, Rae Millin, From Porsche Taycan to Lucid Gravity, Episode 18 went on to become the most downloaded episode in Lucid Driver podcast’s 11-month history. Since that time, I’ve noticed on the many Lucid-related Facebook groups that I frequent, that Rae has become the (Not So) Elder spokesman on behalf of most things Gravity. A level-headed, clearly informed sea of reason, research, and personal experience in an ocean of hyperbole and frantic, panicked but understandable concern on the part of some Gravity owners. There is a lot to learn about Rae, and he obviously is not new to this EV world. Check out that earlier episode to get a sense for Rae’s background. It is my pleasure to catch up with Rae after nine months or so of Gravity ownership. Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Encore Episode: Rae Millin, From Porsche Taycan to Lucid Gravity
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to present this encore episode of Rae Millen's episode for two big reasons: 1. It is the highest listened to episode ever in the less than one year history of Lucid Driver podcast, and 2. Ray will be returning as my guest on next week’s Lucid Driver to update us on his Gravity 8 months later. Rae told me, “I come from both a background of cars and of tech. Having been a muscle car fan and owner most of my adult life, I grew interested in EVs as a tech person when Tesla started rolling out in 2012. I test drove a Model S in 2015 and was extremely impressed and almost bought one back then but Dodge flashed the Hellcat in front of me and I went that way instead. Then in 2019 I grew interested again and started looking bc I was tired of paying for gas and knew in my soul the damage those type of cars were doing to the world. Enter Elon introducing the Plaid and I had a day one reservation but thought I'd do my due diligence and investigate other EVs, since Tesla was no longer the only game for performance EV. The Porsche Taycan was just released and was readily available at my local Porsche dealership and after a test drive I was hooked and went that way. What led me to Lucid was that while doing my research, I seriously noticed what they were doing and was impressed with their efficiency and style, but they were too new and I wasn't sure they'd survive. Getting that big investment from the Middle Eastern investors and their continued push to put out great EVs kept me looking and the Gravity completely won me over when they first introduced it. By this point, a Porsche was starting to wear on my body as a daily and my wife and son actually did not like riding in it due to its size and low ride height, so it was time to look at something else anyway. And here I am today owner of the greatest EV SUV in the country today! Also, I am a member of EVHybridNoire and volunteer with Drive Electric Alabama to help with EV education, work with government and businesses to expand charging infrastructure, particularly in in low income and under served communities. I work with our local government up to the mayor of Huntsville Alabama, who drives a Ford Lightning himself and all the way up to the Governor Kay Ivey who has been very supportive of EVs and infrastructure and job growth in this area for Alabama. Encore Episode: Clayton Law, Owner, Gravity Grand Touring, Host, YouTube Channel UpcurrentEVs
Send us Fan MailEncore episode as I am traveling again. Looking for passionate Lucid owners to share their story with the Lucid community so I can have some episodes ready when I am away. Let me tell your story!Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Clayton Law as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast.Clayton told me, “I grew up with a lot of financial instability in my family. High end cars were never something I aspired to have because it never felt in reach. My first car I got to drive regularly was an early 90's Chrysler New Yorker which felt like luxury to me. We moved up to a 2008 Corolla, also a car I loved. When I met my husband in 2010, he had a 2001 Lexus LS430 which really made me curious about luxury vehicles in general. We traded that for a 2012 Volt in Jan 2012 and have loved living with EVs since. We purchased a 2019 Bolt when they came out, but I sold it after I was having battery issues. We finally upgraded into a 23 Lucid Air in December '23 and ordered a Gravity as soon as they became available. We've had a few issues, but we absolutely love Lucid - as does every other owner I've met. We've always been early adopters for tech in general, and my husband has had a lot of interesting experiences working for Microsoft and Sony Pictures as well. I started my YouTube channel as a way to share my interest in helping Lucid owners get information and answers that sometimes you can't get from Lucid themselves, but it's also been a way for us to share our life after my husband waited about 5 years for a liver transplant. Moving into the Lucid was perfect timing as we spent a lot of time traveling for appointments and needing a comfortable space away from home.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Garry told me, “I’m a 69-year-old father of five married for the last 20 years and living my best life now. I grew up in Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s when it was a different type of city. I live in Arizona now and I love it. My career has been in medicine, and I consider myself at the top of the hill not over the hill ha ha that’s funny! Encore Presentation: Borski & Annie, Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance, Gravity Dream Edition
Send us Fan MailHey Lucid Fans. Sorry, I am traveling again. If you missed it though, this encore presentation features the most amazing Lucid ownership by one household I have met to-date. He has a Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance, and she has a Gravity Dream Edition. (I already asked them if they were adopting!) Enjoy, back live next week. Susannie “Annie” Borohovski and her husband, Borski, are Lucid community veterans of over three years, but Annie just snagged the keys to her new favorite toy: a Gravity with a one-of-a-kind sparkly blue wrap that looks like it was "dipped in starlight". She's affectionately called it her “spaceship” and named it “Voyager.” The license plate, "S5 E13", is a fun little secret handshake for fellow nerds (bonus points if you get it!). While she's studying to be a licensed therapist by day, her other full-time job consists of being a serial kitten fosterer (seriously, we're talking hundreds!), a devoted dog whisperer to her impossibly cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Dobby, and a world-traveling adventurer with well over twenty passport stamps in just the past few years. Through all of those adventures, she's finally found her perfect center of "gravity"! And now for the other half of this Lucid couple, Michael “Borski” Borohovski! As a Lucid community veteran and proud owner of a Lucid Air Dream Edition, he's the happy "ground control" to Annie's new "spaceship". At home, Borski is the ultimate tech wizard: he automates their entire house for fun and uses his 3D printer to solve everyday problems, from making custom board game organizers to designing the perfect Nespresso pod tray for Annie. This passion for elegant solutions isn't just a hobby, he's a seasoned software architect and MIT grad who founded the security company Tinfoil Security, leading it all the way to a successful acquisition by Synopsys in 2020. And when he's not architecting software or building companies, he's architecting signature cocktails as the resident mixologist or surprising friends with his past life as a seasoned singer. A never-ending source of curiosity, discovery, and a surprising amount of beatboxing for a software architect, being around Borski is always a breath of fresh "Air"!Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Todd Gilbreath, Owner ’22 Air Grand Touring, ‘24 Air Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Todd Gilbreath as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast.Todd told me, “Being behind the wheel is the best. My story started on March 14, 2022. I was seeing clients in Ventura and Ontario, CA. I finished early in Ventura and decided to head toward Beverly Hills, the Hollywood stars, the Hollywood sign, etc., because I had never been there. While driving on Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills, I snapped pictures of Ferrari, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz dealerships, then saw the Lucid sign at the studio and said, "What’s that?" I’m in the auto industry, but I had never heard of Lucid until that day. I went back to my hotel, looked it up online, and saw that it was an EV. I was entirely against EVs, and then, fast forward to July 25, I decided to get a second vehicle, went online, and saw the leases on Lucid vehicles, with a 400+ mile range (I live in Texas), horsepower, fast charging (200 miles in less than 20 minutes), 0 to 60 time, 3.0 seconds, and torque, and then started watching hundreds of YouTube videos about Lucid Air and owning an EV. As a road warrior in sales, Lucid checked all the boxes and addressed the negative objections. I leased the first one, and with a new job, quickly realized I was going to run through the miles on the lease, so I bought a second one. And I am the proud owner of two of them. Best cars I’ve ever driven or owned.” Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Peter Frank, Owner, 2025 White Lucid Air Pure
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Peter Frank as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast.Peter told me, “I'm not sure there is a standard Lucid owner, but if there is, I'm probably not that guy. I'm 49. My last car was a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 200k on the odometer, and I'm an Anglican priest. I live in Northern Virginia with my family where I lead a mid-sized church. I ended up getting a Lucid after deciding that my next car would be electric. My assumption was that it would probably be a Tesla, or possibly a Kia. But before it was time to make a decision a few things happened. First, I started reading about this obscure company I had never heard of called Lucid and watching some videos online about their technology which really impressed me. Second, a good friend of mine with a Kia had to Lemon-law his vehicle after a nightmarish ownership experience. Finally, it became clear that Elon Musk was going to try to fire half of my neighbors here in Northern Virginia, making getting a Tesla in January of 2025 more of a political statement than I was ready to make with my car. The Air is my first electric car, but I've owned a lot of different vehicles over the years. I have a bit of a weak spot for uncommon cars built by smart people. My parents and then my wife and I owned Saabs for a while. Saabs probably are what gave me an openness to the "work smarter, not harder" form of auto design. I just loved our 9-5 with its compact turbo-charged engine and great interior packaging (kind of like a Lucid in that way). I do of course hope Lucid has a brighter future than Saab did in the end—but I'm happy to throw General Motors under the bus for killing them. Getting an electric car was in a way a reaction to the polarization of opinion about electric vehicles over the last few years. It seemed to me like people's politics were causing them to have strong, but uninformed opinions about the technology. That seems like the wrong way to go about things. So, instead of having my opinions shaped by which side I thought I was on, I decided it was time to, you know, actually try one out for myself and see. A year in, I'm convinced electric cars are the future and they ought to be the present. I've driven my Air to where I grew up in rural northern Minnesota with zero issues. I love how quiet, smooth and efficient it is. I love charging it in my garage instead of having to go to a gas station. One last thing, I've loved going fast and the technology that makes it possible since I was 14 and got my first snowmobile. Lucid scratches that itch 35 years later.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Keith Roberts, Serial EV/Hybrid Purchaser, Owner 2023 Lucid Air Touring, 2026 Lucid Gravity Grand Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Keith Roberts to Lucid Driver Podcast.Keith told me, “My husband, Phat, and I are both retired and living in Vero Beach, Florida, in a home we built in 2017. I spent my career as a software engineer with a passion for home automation, while Phat practiced medicine for 30 years in New Hampshire before we relocated to Florida. We're both car fanatics who have been on quite the EV journey over the past six years. While driving my 2014 BMW 328xd, I casually mentioned that "my next vehicle would be electric." For my 60th birthday, Phat surprised me with an incredible present: a 2019 Tesla Model 3 purchased in late 2018. That hooked us on EVs, and we haven't looked back. Since then, we've owned multiple electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles including a Hyundai Ioniq-5, Toyota RAV4 Prime, and multiple Lucid Airs. We're currently a two-Lucid household—I drive a Lucid Air Touring, and we just took delivery of a Lucid Gravity Grand Touring in October 2025. As a tech enthusiast and software engineer, I'm fascinated by how Lucid is pushing the boundaries of EV technology, efficiency, and the overall driving experience.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Christopher Nickell, Rivian R1S to Cadillac Escalade IQ to Lucid Gravity Dream Edition
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Christopher Nickell to Lucid Driver Podcast. Chris has had quite a journey of notable vehicles leading to his Lucid Gravity Dream Edition. Chris told me, “My friends would say that I’m obsessed with cars…but not in the way that I’m in the driveway listening to Def Leppard tuning it for my next track day. I am a tech enthusiast and love anything that hasn’t been mainstream…which is why I love the Lucid story. My wife says that I need a bumper sticker that says, ‘My house is smarter than your honor student.’ I love smart tech and how everything has become so integrated. Hoping that the Gravity will continue to gain tech and follow through on some of this initial promises they have made (hands-free driving, AI HUD, Carplay, etc.) I came here by way of the Cadillac Escalade IQ, which I just got in January of this year. Yup, you heard that right. I purchased a Sport 2 Escalade IQ and let’s just say, they ended up buying it back because it was that awful. The IQ wasn’t my first choice. In fact, I had a deposit in on the Gravity the day I heard about it. I had always told my wife that as soon as there’s an electric SUV with 400+ mile range, I’m in! But when the Gravity kept getting pushed, I ended up jumping to the IQ.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Bryan Stewart, From 2024 Lucid Air Pure, to 2025 Air Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Bryan Stewart my current homie in Charlotte, NC—as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. In reality, I live in Mooresville a suburb of Charlotte, and I stress current because I am in the process of relocating. For the time being though Bryan and I are homies even though I have never seen another Lucid in Charlotte or Mooresville—except that one time I went to a Charlotte owners’ event and the parking lot was awash with Lucid Airs. Bryan is the owner of a beautiful Lucid Air Touring, the second Lucid he has owned. Bryan told me, “I first started exploring electric vehicles around 2016. I took a few test drives of the Model S and Model X, but they didn’t quite meet my needs. In 2023, while I was in Dallas on business, I test drove a Lucid GT, and around the same time, a friend of mine purchased one. I loved the ride and the range of that vehicle. I mentioned to my wife that I wished I could do a 2-to-3-month EV rental to see what living with an EV would be like. In 2024, I received an email from Lucid about their leasing options. I visited their website and found a 2024 Air Pure (RWD), which only had the 20-way seats as an option. My wife wanted massage seats, so I decided to go with it. I signed an 18-month lease with a limit of 15,000 miles. After owning the car for about two months, I realized I wasn't going back to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. My Air Pure had an estimated range of 420 miles, which was more than enough for me since I’m not a frequent long-distance driver. I discovered that I charge my car more out of convenience than necessity. My wife and I typically stop every 2 to 3 hours to stretch, and during those breaks, I just charge the car. Thankfully, I've had a good experience with DC fast charging (DCFC). Although I’ve encountered broken chargers, there’s usually another one available. When it was time to upgrade to a new EV, I decided to move up to the Air Touring. I opted for all the features except the glass roof since that’s not my preference. So far, it has been a great experience. While I’m not a speed enthusiast, I appreciate the 620 hp, even if it doesn’t excite me. My ideal Lucid would be an Air Pure with a battery pack like that of the Grand Touring. Something about an EV with over 500 miles of range. In comparing the Pure to the Touring, I really enjoy the quietness of the Pure, particularly due to its rear-wheel drive. However, I believe the Touring handles better because of its all-wheel drive. In my opinion, the Touring is Lucid’s sweet spot within the Air lineup."Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

George Bush, and His 'Unicorn' Black Air Pure
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome George Bush—not that George Bush—as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. George is the owner of a beautiful Lucid Air Pure, somewhat unique in that it is one of the last all wheel drive Pures ever made. George says, “First off, I guess I can start by saying I absolutely love my car. From the first day to today every time I get in to drive it puts a smile on my face. Pure joy. I’ve never really been a car person, and I don’t think I am one now, but I am a Lucid person. As soon as I discovered their car and story I just fell in love and knew I had to have one. In the beginning, I didn’t think I could afford one for a while. Maybe after I retire as a present to myself. Then the lease deals started happening and it became more and more in reach. Then finally one day my wife said just buy it already and that was that. Couldn’t be happier!”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Steven Long, From McLaren 12c Spider to Lucid Air Grand Touring (A Perfect Two Car Solution)
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Steven Long as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Steven is the President and Co-Owner at Precision Legal Marketing, and the Co-founder at Collector Car Storage of Virgina. In addition, Steven is a Producer and Content Creator and created the @stevewithaz channel and platforms at YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Steven says, “I come to the Lucid platform from a completely different perspective than most owners I have run in to—performance. I come from a JDM [Japanese domestic market] platform with a pair of high horsepower Nissans 300zx’s (one is 1000 horsepower). Then three years ago I had the pleasure of purchasing a McLaren 12c Spider. The driving dynamics of the McLaren took my interest from brute force to refinement in terms of handling and power. Ditching the kids for college and the minivan along with it, I was in search of something unique as a daily driver. Enter the Lucid Air Grand Touring. From the low-end torque to the Porsche vibe of the handling dynamics paired with the amazing ability of the Lucid to cheat its weight, I was hooked.” Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Abhinav Akhouri, Lucid Air Grand Touring Owner, Multiple Air Buyer, My Favorite Air Accessories
Send us Fan Mail“Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Abhinav Akhouri, aka Abhi, as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I first met Abhi on Instagram where we follow each other. He reacted to one of my IG posts about an upcoming episode on @luciddriverpodcast. Abhi, who is on his third Air, a gorgeous White Stealth Grand Touring, commented I should host a podcast about Lucid accessories and what’s worth it and what’s not. I responded that was a good idea, and I thanked him for his kind comment that, “I really appreciate what you are doing, and I am hopeful that it will help bring more awareness for the Lucid brand.” He let me know what accessories he had experience with—essentially everything available for the Air—and offered to be a resource for me coming up with the content for the episode. I told Abhi. “You’re not getting off that easy, and invited him to come on the show” Abhi told me, “I live in Miami, Florida. I am a 36-year-old Management Consultant. I had leased a 2023 Air Pure for an ex and loved it so much that I leased a second 2023 Air Pure for myself. Then I got the itch to get a Grand Touring, so early returned both Pures and leased a 2025 Air GT (Bianca) in Nov 2024. I work from home, so I don't necessarily use my car for commuting, every drive feels special and fun. I first heard about Lucid through MKBHD's video back in 2017 I believe and thought it was an incredible blend of my 2 loves: Cars and Technology. I also have a cousin who works as an engineer at Lucid and hearing his passion for the product and the brand, had me very intrigued. I had the opportunity to visit the Headquarters in 2024, and in talking with Peter, Derek, and the other executives, I could see why this is easily the best EV in the world.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Wayne Schell, 89-Year-Old Resort Owner, Lucid Air Grand Touring Owner
Send us Fan MailI am delighted to welcome Wayne Schell as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Wayne is the 89-year-old owner, Laguna del Sol near Sacramento, CA, one of the largest, most well-known clothing optional resorts in the US. He also owns Mira Vista, another clothing optional resort in Tucson, AR. Wayne is also the owner of a Venus Red Lucid Air Grand Touring. Being an 89-year-old Air Grand Touring owner is enough to make Wayne an intriguing guest for Lucid Driver podcast. But even more admirable to me is the fact that Wayne is an 89-year-young active business owner. I asked Wayne if he minded me mentioning his clothing-optional business. He told me, “I have no problem mentioning them if you don’t. I’ve been to Lucid headquarters and everyone including Peter Rawlinson knew all about my resorts before I got there!” I ‘met’ Wayne on Facebook when he wrote a touching ode to Lucid on one of the many Lucid Facebook groups who are kind enough to allow me to share Lucid Driver podcast info to our fledgling but growing community. Indulge me while I read it to you… I had to reach out to Wayne and invite him on the podcast. Wayne also told me, “I see you are also into cruising. I have also traveled the world and have been on at least 100 cruises; and although I’m not an award-winning author like you, I have written and published my autobiography. It’s on Amazon and it’s titled The Great Road of Life.” I got a feeling Wayne is going to be a future guest on The Joy of Cruising Podcast. Rae Millin, From Porsche Taycan to Lucid Gravity, An Unboxing
Send us Fan MailI am delighted to welcome Rae Millen as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I called this episode an unboxing in the spirit of those YouTube videos where a reviewer receives some new product to test and they take us through from the moment of opening the Amazon or UPS box to the product demo. I call this episode an unboxing because when I first reached out to Rae he had just picked up his Gravity and hardly “unboxed it.” Rae told me, “I come from both a background of cars and of tech. Daniel Plasko, Lucid Touring Stealth Owner, Who Likes to Rock Out
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Daniel Plasko as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Looking at the title of this episode you may be wondering how do I know Daniel likes to rock out? I noticed his rock & roll influenced t-shirt in a couple of the promo shots for this episode, so I asked him about it. Some of you know, especially if you are also a listener of my other podcast, The Joy of Cruising Podcast, that music is another passion of mine along with Lucid and cruising. So, Daniel’s t-shirt gave me an opening to get to know him just a little better. And Daniel will definitely discuss sound performance in the Lucid Air. Daniel says, “Hello Paul and fellow Lucid enthusiasts. My name is Daniel Plasko. I’m a Southern California resident based in San Diego County. I’m currently working as an athletic official as my primary job. In my free time I’m an avid ice hockey player and participate in recreational leagues in the local community. My other passions include playing the drums as well as collecting vintage percussion. Lastly, I’m also a herpetoculturist who focuses on turtle and tortoise husbandry—essentially keeping and reproducing turtles—within the framework of chelonian ecology and conservation. As a commuter and traveler throughout Southern California who was looking to own their first EV, I had one non-negotiable when car shopping; I wouldn’t purchase a vehicle with less than 300 miles of driving range. When I made the decision to purchase the Lucid Air, what I got was a vehicle that met my minimum requirement but also delivered so much more!

Rubin Ervin, TV Personality, Air Touring Owner, All Around Fun Guy
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Rubin Ervin as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. All Lucid Airs are absolutely beautiful. I’m biased of course but I think it is the prettiest sedan out there. Other than colors, glass versus aluminum roof and wheels, there is little to distinguish one from another. Just a couple of weeks ago we had on the owner of a Lucid Air Sapphire. To most people eyes a Sapphire it looks very much like mine except for the pretty Sapphire Blue color. The Sapphire is $250,000 and mine is much less than half that. Nevertheless, the similarity between Lucid Air models didn’t stop Rubin from doing his best to make his Lucid especially eye-popping and not just on the exterior. He told me, “Shortly after its delivery, I customized the wheels, wrapped the exterior, and installed subwoofers. It is now very much a dream car to me.” I told Rubin, my wife doesn’t know it yet, but I am getting his rims for my car! RUBIN ERVIN is the short guy with the big voice! He doubles as the Announcer and the Warm-up guy for the #1 game show in the country, Family Feud. Rubin started his career having the Slime of his life as a child actor for Nickelodeon Studios and later became a show host for their live shows. As his career progressed, he soon became the life of the party, MC’ing and DJ’ing shows for Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Nickelodeon Recreation, and many more. As the “Warm-Up Guy” for many shows such as The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Little Big Shots, 500 Questions, Password, Judge Steve Harvey, and many more, Rubin gets the crowd pumped and ready to have a fantastic time no matter what. You can also hear Rubin’s voice as the announcer for many shows, including Family Feud, Showtime at the Apollo, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and America’s Got Talent.

Borski & Annie, Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance, Gravity Dream Edition
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Borski & Annie, Michael & Susanna Borohovski, as my guests on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast.

Michael Mainetti, My Lucid Air Sapphire Experience
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Michael Mainetti as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Michael, an attorney in New York about an hour and a half north of the city, took delivery of the first Lucid Air Sapphire in the Northeast in February of last year—number 34 of a limited run of 250. Without hesitation Michael notes the Sapphire is the best car he has ever owned (and he’s had a pretty impressive stable of cars to compare it to.) I've always been into cars. Growing up, my father always had the big S class Mercedes, and then when AMG got absorbed by Mercedes it was always an S class AMG. I think that was the beginning of my love of fast sedans, which also must have had an effect on my brother, because we have both owned several. I gravitated toward Audi and my brother toward BMW. In 2016 I got my first RS7 and then got a new model in 2021, while my brother just got the new M5 after owning the two previous gen M5 competitions. I also had a 2006 300c SRT-8 which I bought new and slowly built over the years, culminating in a forged short block engine swap and twin turbo kit amongst other things, yielding just 750whp [wheel horsepower] and 780rwtq [rear wheel torque]. I sold her to make room in the garage for the Sapphire. I had never heard of Lucid until 2021 when my father mentioned them to me and told me he was going to order an Air Grand Touring, My only experience with electric cars at that point was Tesla. I had considered an S Plaid when it came out, but after seeing the build quality and feel of the car they were asking $140k after options for, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I did a cursory look into Lucid but honestly wrote it off as just another electric car startup. Clearly, something changed for Michael…Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Michael Moy, Lucid Air Touring Owner, Co-Worker of the Tesla Founders
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Michael Moy as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. What a story Michael has! He told me, “I retired several years ago after 30 years at various startup companies. I worked with and for Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning [the founders and original executives of Tesla] at three high tech startups. Here’s their story: https://www.cnbc.com/video/2021/02/06/how-tesla-was-founded-martin-eberhard-and-marc-tarpenning-tell-all.html in case this is news to you as it is to many people. Needless to say—I was an early Tesla watcher but from afar. The idea had always been when Tesla opened a New York location—I’d try to get in. But by the time that happened Elon had fired all but one or two people I had worked with. I never did buy a Tesla though I put money down on a Model 3. The last person I knew at Tesla—ended up going to Atieva/Lucid—so I watched to see what she was doing. The Lucid Air was unveiled in 2017 at the NY auto show with a starting price of $60K. The all-glass roof and reclining executive rear seats won me over. This was the car for me. Needless to say, when the car came out at $169K in 2021—I had sticker shock for sure! I ended up ordering the Air Touring in June ‘22 and took delivery on Valentine’s Day 2023. So, 26 months and 40K miles later – I still love the car. It’s my first EV and I’ve set a very high bar for any car I buy in the future. I have been to almost all the Lucid studio and service centers from Tyson Corner to Natick and Boston Seaport. I’ve been to over a dozen lucid events and rallies. I drove from NJ to Tampa and back in 4 days. Absolutely no issues charging the car along 95. Stayed at two hotels with free chargers but otherwise all Electrify America stations. As an active member of the NJ Electric Vehicle Association I’ve attended over a dozen Drive Electric and First Responder events in NJ and PA.” You may recall on Lucid Driver podcast Episode 6 Josh, where guest Josh discussed his Lucid Air Grand Touring appearing in the Netflix miniseries Black Rabbit, set in the New York night club scene starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Well Michael’s Air appeared as the double for Josh’s car. Josh’s car was used for the exterior shots and Michael’s car was used for the interior shots. Michael said, “I was nervous when I heard hammering and drilling when they set up the camera gear inside my car!”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Brian Gilgeous, Lucid Air Touring Owner, YouTube Channel, EV OG
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Brian Gilgeous as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Brian is the creator of the YouTube channel EV OG. Although Brian and his family have long owned a string of EV’s, he just joined the Lucid family by acquiring a Fathom Blue Platinum Air Touring—the exact same car that I acquired at about the same time. So, I feel good about Brian form the jump! Brian says, “I'm BrianG and I've been driving an EV since Valentine’s Day 2013 when we took delivery of "Chocolate Rain", our brown 2013 Tesla Model S 60 with rear facing seats. Since then, we've owned 10 EV's in 12+ years. At the end of May 2025, we took delivery of EV #10, "Dragonfly,”, 2025 Lucid Air Touring in Fathom Blue to replace “Storm,” our pre-owned 2018 Tesla Model S 100D. Just prior to that, we sold "Ironheart," a 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge to Carvana for almost $10K more than we paid for it a year prior, to replace "Mystique," our Mariana [metallic blue] 2023 Fisker Ocean One. We also have "Valkyrie," our silver 2023 quad-motor Rivian R1T, “Dove” our 2016 Tesla Model X, “Red Riot,” our daughter’s Model 3, and our son’s 2025 Chevy Equinox EV. My intention with the EV OG YouTube channel is to SHARE our experiences as decade-long EV owners and enthusiasts, CONNECT with other EV owners, enthusiasts, or prospective owners, and continue LEARNings about EV's.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Kevin from Long Island; NY’s First Lucid Air Touring
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome this week to Lucid Driver, Kevin Walwyn. I met Kevin on the excellent Lucidowners.com which I assume most of you are on, where he posts as DRWHO42 and first came to my attention in a thread about Long Island Lucid owners. While I spent most of my childhood in Brooklyn, I spent my formative years in Long Island and still visit my mom there. After a brief chat Kevin agreed to come on Lucid Driver and share his Lucid Air Touring ownership experience Kevin was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and lives there with his wife and child. He works in Big Tech focusing on compliance. Lucid was his first ever EV purchase and pretty much was on the top of his list as he started to do his research for a vehicle purchase. They were coming off a couple of Acura’s—an MDX and TSX which they owned for several years and Kevin was getting frustrated with the amount of money he was paying at the pump. He wanted something different from Tesla and some of my top of mind evaluating factors were range and comfort. The Car and Driver ranking steered him to Lucid. From what he was told at delivery, his Cosmo Silver Lucid Air Touring delivered December ’22, was the first in NY. Kevin told me, “I generally my vehicle any chance I get for routine errands to some road trips. I have the Lucid Level 2 home charger and I charge at least once a week. My electric bill has gone up on avg $20-25 per month. I am semi-active on Lucid owners forum under the name DRWHO42 and have been to a few events locally—most recently the Gravity launch in NYC. I am active on Twitter and Bluesky under the same name. I try to give Lucid a signal boost in between my retweets of fun posts related to the entertainment industry.”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Creating Experiences with A Lucid Air Touring as A Limo Driver; We Talk to Bassem
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome this week’s guest on Lucid Driver Podcast. Bassem, a passionate Lucid Air Touring owner I met on Lucidowners.com. Bassem can offer insights about the Lucid Air that come from a unique perspective versus that of most of us Lucid owners. He uses his Lucid Air as a limousine and spends the majority of his time in his Lucid Air as a professional Limo Driver. However, that’s not the only unique perspective that Bassem can speak from. Bassem says, “I am a firm believer in Lucid from several perspectives. I am always eager to find relevant content especially since you are a seasoned Podcaster, you know there is an audience that is eager to learn more beyond press releases from real people sharing their content. I do share your passions as I have arrived at a similar conclusion to you. My journey with EV's began in 2013 when I purchased a Tesla Model S. Naturally, it was a revolutionary new vehicle platform back then and I have enjoyed it. Since then, I have driven multiple EV’s, so my opinions have had time to mature and for me to understand the nature of driving, owning and taking the time to enjoy an EV. Being also a former Tesla employee working on Battery Systems, it did not take long for me to recognize once Lucid released their Vehicle Architecture alongside actual battery and motor components, that they really took the time to design functional pieces of art that propels the Air. Bassem says, “On the ride home, it would be safe to say, that from Motown to Al Green to Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes make a regular appearance. The ride home is always challenging one, as you realize you've been running on an adrenaline high for the past 10 plus hours, along side all the different conversations and personalities encountered. So, it's a time to roll down the windows and engage Drive Assist!”Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Paul Grondal, YouTube Host, Life After 70
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome this week Paul Grondal, creator and host of YouTube’s Life After 70 as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver Podcast. As suggested by its name, Life After 70 is about much more than just being a Lucid owner. In fact, Paul has done a lot of noteworthy things after 70. Like taking delivery of one of the worlds fastest sedans at 75. Or attaining his private airplane pilot’s license at 70. Or well into his seventies continuing to serve as CEO of the software company he founded 40 years prior. Paul has been in the technology industry for over 40 years and founded a software company in 1984, which he continues to run today at age 77. He reserved his Lucid Air Pure in October 2021 and took delivery in April 2023. With a deep interest in EV technology, Paul developed an iOS app to calculate EV battery range, which he released in March 2024 along with a companion website, www.evrangecalculator.com, to share what he has learned with other EV owners. He also hosts the Life After 70 YouTube channel focused on his experiences owning an EV, covering topics like charging, range, efficiency, safety, comfort, performance, and more. Outside of tech and EVs, Paul discusses several matters of particular relevance to seniors seemingly with an underlying message that you are never too old. After all, he earned his pilot license at age 70.Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/

Josh, His Lucid Air Grand Touring on the Big Screen
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. Now for a Lucid story that is somewhat unique. I am delighted to welcome Josh as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. Josh’s Lucid Grand Touring first appeared in Black Rabbit, a Netflix miniseries set in the New York night club scene starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Most recently, Josh’s Lucid, appeared in the Netflix remake of the Alan Alda classic The Four Seasons, this one starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell.Josh grew up around cars. His parents had a Model A Ford when he was young, so they went to a lot of antique car events. His first car was a Ford Model T Woody Wagon at 15 that he restored to a prize winning classic over the next five years. He drove that car from Texas to Georgia along with the A-model and then bought a 54 Chevy and trailer in Georgia and trailered the Model T up to New York to complete his move. Since that time, Josh has owned or restored multiple classics including a BMW 2002 Tii, BMW 3.0 CSI, Volvo P 1800es glass back wagon, BMW 600 Isetta (which he still has) BMW Z8 (also still has), Fiat Topolino (which he still has but in pieces) as well as a run of electric cars. Josh has two Tesla Model S performances, then his movie star Lucid Grand Touring, and are you ready for this—he has a Lucid Gravity on order. Josh’s Grand Touring is not the first big-screen star he has owned: His Tesla Model S was used in used in Showtimes’ Billions; his BMW Z8 was used for the Sex and the City series, his BMW 600 Isetta was in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Bobby on the Air
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome Bobby Marcus, creator of Bobby on the Air YouTube, and lucidupdates.com, a site probably every Lucid owner has visited if they know about it. As mentioned, in the process of researching my Lucid Touring purchase, I suspect that I have watched virtually every Lucid video on YouTube—many of them multiple times! I found that the videos on the channel Bobby on the Air were all very relatable, informative, and most were relevant to my personal situation. A few were more technical—at least to me a newbie—but now as an owner, I am going back to rewatch videos where I found the host to be relatable but without owning the car certain topics were not all that pertinent to me. So, I’ll be rewatching every one of Bobby’s videos. Bobby Marcus has been a car lover since he was a kid. He now has a 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring with about 37,000 miles on it. As a fairly early adopter of the Lucid, he established a website to track the OTA software updates called lucidupdates.com. He's a moderator on the Lucid Owner's forum and has produced a few videos about the car that can be seen on his YouTube channel, Bobby on the Air. He is a fan of electric vehicle technology and is impressed by the engineering triumph that is the Lucid Air. He wishes for a convertible roadster version and hopes that one is secretly in the works.

Julian Montgomery, Julian’s EV Journey
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome J as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I am so glad I caught up with Julian. You see in the process of researching my Lucid purchase, I suspect that I have watched virtually every Lucid video on YouTube—many of them multiple times! Such was the case with Julian’s content on his channel Julian’s EV Journey. There was something about Julian and his content that spoke to me. Maybe because we share a passion for similar genres of music, although Julian is a professional Composer, Synthesist, and Sound Designer for Film, Television, Video Games and other visual media and well, I…am not. There was even an episode where Julian’s wife sat in the Lucid with him and their interaction about the car felt familiar. So, when I decided that I would launch—pun intended—this podcast featuring Lucid owners, I knew I would reach out to Julian, and I am so glad he agreed to come on the show. Julian hasn’t updated his Lucid channel in a while, but I would urge prospective purchasers to check it out—it was instrumental for me. From Julian’s EV Journey:This channel is used by Julian Montgomery to follow my EV journey. I reserved my first EV which is a Lucid Air Touring in April 2022 and took delivery in March 2023. Since I’ve started diving into the world of EVs I’ve become quite the EV enthusiast. So, as I explore EVs and ultimately drive an EV I will post content aimed at helping others like me learn about EVs specifically focusing on my EV, the Lucid Air Touring.

Tech CEO Blaine Mathieu, My Journey with Lucid Motors and a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring EV
Send us Fan MailHello, Lucid fans! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome Blaine Mathieu. I am honored a tech CEO who happens to be the owner of one of the world’s beautiful vehicles agreed to be my guest on only the second episode of Lucid Driver. From Blaine’s Blog: https://lucidair.info/“Let's get something straight: I am not a professional car reviewer. My First Car Had A Frunk, 50 Years Later, My Last Car Had a Frunk
Send us Fan MailWelcome Lucid fans. I am so appreciative that you chose to join me on my premiere episode of the Lucid Driver podcast, titled “My First Car Had A Frunk, 50 Years Later, My Last Car Had a Frunk.” Now there is a bit of a riddle inherent in that title which is 100% factual. Of course, you know about my last car if you listened to my teaser episode Lucid Driver, A Podcast for Owners/Aspiring Drivers of Lucid Vehicles or have seen some of my social media posts. It is a 2025 Fathom Blue Lucid Air Touring, platinum with a glass roof and 19 inch wheels. But a car with a frunk 50 years ago? ‘What’s he talking about.’ The riddle will be easy for the OG gearheads. I’ll come back to it (don’t ask AI either!)Are you a Lucid owner with a compelling story to share, contact me at [email protected]'d love to hear from EV/Automotive enthusiasts with stories relevant to Lucid fans at [email protected] my Lucid Driver podcast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575927028097Check out my world-leading podcast about ocean cruising, The Joy of Cruising Podcast https://www.thejoyofcruisingpodcast.com/
