EP. 36 - A Midwife to Myself, Reflections on Endings and New Starts
In this deeply introspective episode of the Stefanie Joseph Podcast, I share a raw and vulnerable journey through a period of profound personal and spiritual despair. I reflect on how global tragedies have left me emotionally drained and spiritually disconnected, pushing me into a metaphorical "death of self." I open up about my attempts to seek solace through meditation, journaling, and spiritual conversations, only to realize I needed to navigate this period alone. This solo passage, culminated in a transformative Vedic astrology reading that validated her experiences of loss and signaled the end of a 17-year life cycle. Emerging from this phase, Stefanie likens her experience to a rebirth, mourning the loss of past inspirations and professional pursuits while setting her sights on new beginnings. She embraces the necessity of honoring life's cycles and transitions, emphasizing the importance of vulnerability and adaptability. As part of her personal evolution, I am going all in on the Reclamation movement, inviting individuals to shed societal masks and rediscover their true selves. Through candid reflections on her entrepreneurial challenges and the profound loss of her sister, I commit to fostering a community centered on remembrance and acceptance, all while continuing her dedication to collective liberation and spiritual awakening. EP 12 - What happened to Jen and how it affected my world.
The death of my sister was and will always be a pivotal moment in my life; a moment that changed how I viewed everything. It is healing for me to speak openly so that I can process all of the emotions that come with loss. I get asked often what happened and I feel it's time to share the story of Jen's death. I have hesitated sharing because I know that my account of her passing could differ from others close to her and as you're listening, please keep this in mind. However, by sharing this part of the story pieces together why I even care to speak about grief. Maybe sharing her story allows others who have experienced loss to feel not so alone. Maybe my story allows you to find peace in your story. Maybe, me sharing this part of her story is simply me just keeping her alive in my heart. This episode is a raw one as I process some thoughts around regrets in the relationship with my sister. The funny thing is, these regrets only came because I lost her. I share my accounts of this week and how I am processing through my own thoughts on regret. At the end of the episode I share an exercise with you on how you can strengthen the relationships you have so you don't face the regrets that can come with loss.
