    Mastering the Emotional Side of Pregnancy

    Pregnancy is hard as fuck. There is so much change in such a short period of time, major hormonal shifts, financial stress and pressure, relationships being tested, weight gain, physical discomfort, fear of birth, miscarriages, stillbirths, challenging family dynamics, postpartum, anxiety about being perfect, etc, etc.  I get it, I see you, and all of these fears, worries, anxieties, and emotions are all absolutely valid.  This episode is devoted to helping you feel the way you ACTUALLY want to feel throughout every stage of pregnancy - joyful, connected, grateful, blissful, and beautiful.     Childbirth, Ayahuasca, and Feeling the Fear

    I'm afraid of birth, I'm afraid of becoming a mother, I'm afraid of how this will change my life, my marriage, and my work. And yet, I'm doing it all anyways.  Fear is the emotion that holds us back, it is paralyzing and keeps us stuck in our comfort zone. Even if we're unhappy in our relationships, in our work, in our pain at least it's familiar, right?  Fear requires us to be brave, to take action, and step into the abyss and the unknown. In this episode I explore the connection between pregnancy, childbirth, and ayahuasca, how to identify where fear is stored in the body, and most importantly how to master and befriend your fear so that you can purposefully create a life that you love.

    How to Navigate Unexpected Crises

    I often meet women when they're in the midst of an unexpected crisis whether it be a major health issue, the end of a relationship, being let go from a job, etc. In our work together I help them reclaim their sense of control so that they can grow, heal, and transform through their experiences instead of continuing to feel like a victim to unforeseen circumstances.     Grief, Guilt, and Letting Go

    Why do we have such a hard time letting go? When we experience grief from losing someone we love, heartbreak, contending with major disappointment after failing, etc there is a secondary emotion that emerges - guilt. We feel guilty for not feeling the way we were supposed to, guilty for continuing to live when someone else has passed on, guilty for feeling angry and resentful, guilty for letting people down, and more.  Tune into this episode to learn more about how these grief and guilt are stored in the body, the patterns they evolve into over time, and a guided meditation at the end to help you release these emotions and create space for more joy, resilience, and faith.

    The Cure for Hopelessness

    Disappointment, frustration, limitations, and defeat start to eat away at our sense of hope when it comes to healing. By the time most women find me they have explored so many other options like diets, medications, exercise routines, therapies, etc and placed their trust in doctors, books, and other healers only to end up doubtful, cynical, and pessimistic because they STILL don't have the results they want.    My years as an acupuncturist, teacher, and community leader have illuminated what it takes to reclaim our sense of hope so that we can finally experience profound healing and transformation that lasts a lifetime.     My Fertility Journey

    Honestly, this is an episode I was nervous to share because I open up about experiences and challenges that very few women outside of my Balanced Woman community, even my closest friends and family members, know very much about. I offer it to you now because I recognize that part of me becoming a mother is leaving my shame, guilt, and fear in the past where it belongs so that my joy, gratitude, and strength can expand and flourish.  Fertility and being ready for pregnancy, birth, and motherhood is such a deeply personal journey that goes far beyond healing and strengthening our bodies with the proper foods, movements, and practices.     Big dreams require bigger self-care

    My apprentice Michelle is the definition of a powerhouse - she is entrepreneurial, self-motivated, passionate, and commanding. Like many women who are natural born leaders, she is devoted to being of service to the greater good. She has BIG plans and dreams for the world which requires an abundance of energy, tenacity, and self-knowledge.     Family Drama, Wounds, and Triggers

    I just got back from spending 3 weeks with my family which has me reflecting on just how far our relationships have come. Don't get me wrong, they are wonderful, supportive, and beautiful people but just like any other family, we are far from perfect.  In this episode I share how I healed old wounds, sensitivities and triggers, and finally learned how to love and accept myself without relying on anyone else's validation.

    The Gift of Deep Rest

    Navigating Relapses, Breakdowns, and Setbacks

    Out of the blue, I had a seizure and lost consciousness this past weekend. As we move through our healing journeys there may be moments that feel like we're falling back into old patterns, behaviors, illnesses and we'll experience flare ups of symptoms. This can lead to a lot of doubt and questions about whether we're doing things right, where this is coming from, and what the next steps are. In this episode I'll help you distinguish whether your relapse is a result of a misalignment in your life now that needs to be addressed OR if it is something deeper that is finally rising to the surface to be healed. Plus, I discuss how to ask for help, set clear boundaries, and ensure that you receive the support you actually need.    which brought up a lot of important questions   and these were the questions I asked myself: is there something that is misaligned in my life that needs to change? Or is there something deeper within me that is finally healing because I have cultivated the capacity to effectively address it?
