Even if you haven’t, this will give you more insight into both the rewards and the challenges involved with doing so. Megan and Leonie reflect on their own journeys with self expression through social media, by covering topics like: - how expressing yourself on a public platform can mirror and amplify your insecurities, and give you an opportunity to address them - learning to detach from outcomes (likes, followers, engagement) and how to stop outsourcing your validation - sharing (too) vulnerably, sharing too soon and the urge to adapt your authentic expression depending on how it is received - migrating from personal to business and marketing yourself and your work in a way that feels good Megan is a writer and Human Design guide, while Leonie offers self-worth training and shares her writing on Instagram. 08. Intuition: Reconnecting To Your Inner Knowing
Leonie and Megan dive deep into the world of intuition and how they have been harnessing its incredible power in their own lives. The discussion uses a framework created by Megan which defines intuition as follows: "When you connect with and surrender to life, the universe, source, the divine, spirit, your soul, your higher self, or God - whichever word you use for the benevolent, organising force which we cannot physically see - there is a flow state which allows things to work out in a way far superior to what your mind can think up." Connecting to this inner knowing is explored through eight different aspects: your ability to stay present, your relationship with and knowledge of yourself, your history, your connection to your body, your dreams and subconscious mind, your environment and your creative expression. Mentioned in the episode: - Megan’s free Intuition and Human Design resource: "Trust That: A Practical Guide to Reconnecting to Your Intuition" - download it here. - Leonie’s singing teacher Anna Stijohann and her company Stimmsinn. 07. Conscious Relating: Growing Through Our Relationships
In possibly the most vulnerable episode yet, Megan and Leonie share personal experiences as they talk about what they have learnt through their relationships, both in friendship and romance. Some of the main themes are: - the difference between relating from a nourished, resourced place and a place of lack and “not-enoughness” - how our beliefs about ourselves shape the way we interact with others - the value of pattern identification / an awareness of recurring themes in different relationships - the role of healthy conflict and boundary-setting in creating robust relationships Mentioned in the episode: Non-Violent Communication: A Language of Life by Marshall Rosenberg @venus.trine.chiron - Megan’s second Instagram page dedicated to creating writing which amplifies the beauty and alchemizes the pain of her romantic experiences. Megan refers to both “Dharmic” and “Karmic” relationships, which are concepts rooted in Hinduism and Buddhism. Her personal understanding of these terms is the following: Karmic relationships focus on resolving past wounds or debts, often involving challenges and lessons that need to be learned for spiritual growth. Dharmic relationships are aligned with one's life purpose or “dharma”, these connections are supportive, positive, and contribute to personal and spiritual development. In our very first Wonders & Wisdom episode we introduce ourselves and our background, focussing on our individual journeys with self development and how it brought us to where we are today. The discussion covers: how we started to view our (challenging) physical symptoms as messengers the shift away from believing things were happening to us towards the more empowered belief that things were happening for us the process we have undergone to trade external comfort (or what “looks good”) for internal growth and what truly feels good the strength we have found in cultivating a loving relationship with ourselves, which allows us to navigate life’s inevitable ups and downs Megan is a writer and Human Design guide, while Leonie offers somatic self-worth training and shares her writing on Instagram.
