AMA ("How was the Qld Baptist Conference this year?") - Tim Eyschen - 3 May 2026

Pastor Tim recently attended the Queensland Baptist “Awaken” Conference, a significant gathering centred on the call from God’s Word for His people to wake up, be alert, and recognise that He is at work all around us.In this video, he shares key reflections and takeaways from the conference, highlighting not only what God stirred in his own heart, but also why this experience matters for the life and direction of the church. His prayer is that these insights would encourage and strengthen the congregation as a whole. This serves as a reminder of the importance of investing in opportunities like this, not just for personal growth, but for the ongoing health and mission of the entire church family.

Standalone Sermon - Easter Sunday ("Why Bother Folding the Napkin?") - Tim Eyschen - 5 April 2026

Why would Jesus take the time to fold a cloth… after rising from the dead?In this Easter message, “Why bother folding the napkin?”, we explore the fascinating detail found in John 20:6–7 and what it might reveal about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Was it simply a small detail… or does it point to something deeper? In this sermon, we consider three possible reasons why Jesus may have folded the cloth:* A sign of intention — showing His resurrection was deliberate and not chaotic* A sign of completion — pointing to the finished work of salvation * A sign of return — a reminder that He is not done yetFar from being insignificant, this small moment in the empty tomb invites us to reflect on the power, purpose, and promise of the risen Christ.Join us as we celebrate the resurrection and consider what it means for our faith today. Because if Jesus truly rose from the dead, it changes everything. If this message encouraged you, consider liking, sharing, or subscribing so others can hear the good news of Easter.#EasterSermon #Resurrection #EmptyTomb #JesusIsRisen #BibleTeaching #ChristianFaith #John20

Certain Hope in Uncertain Times ("How Do I Obey the Gospel?") - Tim Eyschen - 29 March 2026

It's a question we all need to answer because we read in verse eight of the first chapter in 2 Thessalonians that God punishes those who don't. Therefore, it would be imperative to know how to answer that question in order to answer it accurately as it looks like our life is on the line if we don't.If you are uncertain how to obey the gospel, keeping in mind it's not obeying everyone of Jesus' commands, then this message is for you.We pray everyone listening to this sermon can be certain they will not be receiving punishment from God for their sins on the day He will be revealed with his angels with blazing fire.

Certain Hope in Uncertain Times ("Just Give it to the Lord") - Tim Eyschen - 22 March 2026

When you’ve been wronged, what do you do with it?Do you hold onto it… try to fix it… or take matters into your own hands? In this sermon, “Just give it to the Lord,” we explore the powerful truth found in 2 Thessalonians 1:6–7. These verses remind us that God sees every injustice and promises to respond in His perfect timing. So often, our natural instinct is to seek revenge, hold onto bitterness, or demand immediate justice. But Scripture calls us to something radically different and that is to trust that God is just, that He will repay and that He will bring relief to His people.Pastor Tim challenges us to release control, surrender our situations to the Lord, and rest in the certainty that He is both just and good. Even when life feels unfair, we can trust that nothing escapes His notice. If you’re carrying hurt, frustration, or a sense of injustice, this sermon will encourage you to place it where it belongs and that will always be in God’s hands.

Standalone Sermon ("What If I Didn't Get Healed?") - Tim Eyschen - 8 March 2026

What if you prayed for healing… and it never came?Does it mean you didn’t have enough faith? Many Christians have been told that—but is that really what the Bible teaches? In this sermon, we look at the powerful story of the ten lepers in Luke 17:11–19. Jesus heals all ten men suffering from leprosy but only one returns to thank Him and recognise who He truly is.What’s surprising is that all ten were physically healed, yet only one demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The others received healing without acknowledging Him at all. This raises an important question:If healing was not dependent on their faith in this story, why are Christians today sometimes told they simply lack enough faith when healing does not happen? This message explores how God’s healing does not always follow the formulas we sometimes expect. The Scriptures show that God heals according to His purposes, which we may not always understand. While we may not receive every physical healing in this life, the hope of the gospel remains certain: one day, all who belong to Christ will experience complete restoration in His presence. If you’ve ever wrestled with unanswered prayers for healing, this passage offers both honesty and hope.#ChristianSermon #Luke17 #Healing #Faith #BibleTeaching #JesusChrist #ChristianHope

AMA ("Can you stop having faith in Jesus?") - Tim Eyschen - 1 March 2026

Can someone truly stop believing in Jesus and still be saved? What happens when a once passionate Christian later walks away from the faith? In this sermon we explore that difficult question through the remarkable and troubling story of Charles Templeton. Once a close friend and ministry colleague of Billy Graham, Templeton was considered one of the most gifted evangelists of his generation. Yet later in life he publicly rejected Christianity and wrote the book Farewell to God.So what does this mean? Did Templeton lose his salvation? Was he never saved? Or is there another possibility that Scripture allows us to consider?Looking at biblical passages alongside the testimony of Templeton’s early life and ministry, this sermon wrestles with the deeper issue: Can someone stop having faith in Jesus and still belong to Him? More importantly, how should the church respond when someone in our midst who once professed Christ now denies the faith? The answer is not arrogance, fear, or judgment. The answer is love. This message invites us to think carefully about salvation, perseverance, and the way we treat people who are struggling with doubt or walking away from belief.#CharlesTempleton #BillyGraham #FaithDeconstruction #ChristianFaith #CanYouLoseYourSalvation #Apologetics #ChristianSermon #FraserCoastBaptistChurch #ChristianTeaching #FaithAndDoubt #JesusChrist

Certain Hope in Uncertain Times ("Will you be worthy of the Kingdom?") - Tim Eyschen - 22 February 2026

What does it mean to be “counted worthy of the kingdom of God”? Does the Bible teach that we must somehow earn our place in heaven? Or is Paul pointing us to something deeper? In this message from 2 Thessalonians 1:5, we wrestle with a powerful and often misunderstood phrase. The Apostle Paul speaks of believers being counted worthy of the kingdom for which they are suffering. But Scripture is clear: no one deserves the kingdom. No one earns forgiveness. No one merits eternal life.So what does Paul mean?In this sermon, we explore the crucial distinction between:Being deserving of the kingdom (which none of us are), andLiving in a way that reflects the value of the kingdom we have already received by grace.Suffering, perseverance, faith, and steadfast love are not payments toward salvation. They are evidence that Christ has truly transformed us. When trials come, they reveal what we treasure. They display whose kingdom we belong to.If you have ever wondered:How should Christians view suffering? What does it mean to be “worthy” in a gospel of grace? How do trials shape our faith and eternal perspective? How can I live in light of the kingdom today? This message will encourage you to see hardship not as punishment, but as part of God’s refining work — preparing us to reflect the worth of the kingdom we have already been graciously given through Jesus Christ. The question is not, “Can I deserve heaven?”The question is, “Will my life reflect the King?”Be encouraged. Be strengthened. And fix your eyes on the kingdom that cannot be shaken.#2Thessalonians #KingdomOfGod #ChristianSermon #BiblicalPreaching #FaithInSuffering #Perseverance #SalvationByGrace #EndTimes #PaulineEpistles #ChurchSermon

Certain Hope in Uncertain Times ("Where is the Love?) - Tim Eyschen - 15 February 2026

Where Is the Love? | 2 Thessalonians 1:3b–4 | Fraser Coast Baptist ChurchWhat would it look like for a church to be so marked by Christlike love that no one would ever need to ask, “Where is the love?”In this sermon from 2 Thessalonians 1:3b–4, we explore how the apostle Paul commended the Thessalonian church because their love for one another was increasing. Their faith was growing, their endurance was deepening, and their love was overflowing even in the midst of persecution and suffering. That is the prayer for our church. This message challenges us to reflect honestly on whether our love is truly increasing — both individually and corporately. Wherever we find ourselves in life, may we be known as a people whose love is evident, active, and maturing. In this sermon, we consider:• Whether our actions reflect a genuine willingness to love — are we placing ourselves in environments where love can actually grow, such as regular participation in the local church?• The purity of our intentions — are we loving with proper motives and Christlike sincerity?• Our capacity to love — is busyness a legitimate reason, or are we allowing our mindset to limit what God wants to do through us?• Embracing our uniqueness — being open to God using us despite our limitations.• Loving through honesty — growing in biblical faithfulness such as living out Matthew 18:15.• The necessity of discernment — navigating seasons and situations wisely as we seek to love one another well.Verse 4 reminds us that growth often comes through discomfort. The Thessalonian believers were pushed out of their comfort zones through trials. We, however, must often choose discomfort intentionally if our love is to increase. If more of us mature in love, the health of our church will deepen for the future.May this be true of us.#2Thessalonians #WhereIsTheLove #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #ChurchGrowth #ChristianLove #FraserCoastBaptistChurch #ExpositoryPreaching #FaithAndPerseverance #BiblicalCommunity #ChurchHealth #ChristianDiscipleship #PastorTim #NewTestament #EnduringFaith

Certain Hope in Uncertain Times ("How Do I Grow in My Faith?) - Tim Eyschen - 8 February 2026

How do I grow in my faith? In 2 Thessalonians 1:1–3a, Paul celebrates a church whose faith is growing more and more. But growth doesn’t happen by accident, it begins with a willingness to grow.In this message, we explore what it means to intentionally grow in faith and how God uses community, practice, and perseverance to shape mature disciples. We also reflect on the discipleship pathway at Fraser Coast Baptist Church, which offers many practical opportunities to take next steps, whether you’re new to faith or have been following Jesus for years. The question is not whether opportunities exist. The question is whether we are willing to step into them. As each of us grows toward maturity in Christ, the whole body becomes healthier, stronger, and better equipped for the future God is calling our local church into.#HowDoIGrowInMyFaith #Discipleship #SpiritualGrowth #2Thessalonians #ChristianMaturity #FollowingJesus #ChurchLife #FaithJourney #FraserCoastBaptistChurch #HealthyChurch

AMA ("Would God still heal on Sunday even after I've already prayed myself?") - Tim Eyschen - 1 February 2026

Is there room for faith healing in a Baptist church? The space where we invite God to heal on the spot and permanently. What if we’ve already prayed and the healing hasn’t come? Why would he answer it if I'm amongst a group of people on Sunday? Why is it any different? In this message, we explore what Scripture says about prayer, faith, and God’s ongoing work of healing. Drawing from the testimony of Paul in the Bible as well as Baptist convictions, this sermon wrestles honestly with questions many Christians quietly carry: Would God still heal today? Is it biblical to pray again? How should the church respond when healing seems delayed?Whether you were present on Sunday or catching up online, this message invites us to hold faith, humility, and expectation with contentment together as we trust the God who still hears, still responds and still heals today.#FaithHealing #PrayerAndHealing #BaptistChurch #BiblicalFaith #ChristianTheology #TrustingGod #HealingPrayer #FollowingJesus #ChurchTeaching

What does God actually want His church to look like?Acts 2:42–47 gives us a clear blueprint, not for life’s personal decisions, but for God’s purposes on earth. In this sermon, we explore how the early church lived with clarity, devotion, and impact, revealing five timeless purposes God desires for His people today. Anecdotes from Acts 4:32-35 ("What is Needed to Not Have Need of Anything?") - Tim Eyschen - 11 January 2026

What a marvelous image it would be to see a local church with no one in need of everything as is mentioned in verse 34 of this passage. The question then needs to be asked, "What is needed for a congregation to get to that place?"Pastor Tim draws out some practical implication for today's church as we reflect on a healthy image of the local church found in chapter 4 of the book of Acts.In this passage, we find anecdotal evidence of what a healthy church looks like. Our prayer is that this message will allow God to speak to you, showing you how He may want to use you in make this image a reality in your own local church.

AMA ("Can You Lose Your Salvation?") - Tim Eyschen - 7 December 2025

📌 Can You Lose Your Salvation? | Sermon MessageIn this message, Pastor Tim Eyschen answers a crucial question that many Christians struggle with: “Can you lose your salvation?”Rather than setting one opinion against another, this sermon presents six direct questions based on six clear Scriptures. Each one challenges the belief that salvation can be lost. These six are only a small sample of many passages throughout the Bible that confirm eternal security.Biblical references used in this sermon are John 3:16, Galatians 3:2-3, 2 Timothy 2:13, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 John 5:13, John 3:3, Galatians 2:20, and Ezekiel 36:26The doctrine of eternal security, the assurance that salvation once given by Christ cannot be undone, is one of the most important teachings Jesus and the Bible provide. This truth matters because a believer’s confidence in the finished work of Christ determines the strength of their Christian walk. When salvation is secure, faith becomes firm, victory becomes possible, and joy remains full.🔍 In this sermon you will learn:Six questions that confront the idea that salvation can be lostWhy God’s promises of redemption are permanentHow assurance changes the Christian life from anxious striving to confident obedienceWhy eternal security is essential for peace, bold witness, and lasting joy✝️ When Jesus saves, He saves completely.Salvation is not held together by our grip on Christ, but by His grip on us.👉 If this message strengthens your understanding of God’s grace, please like, share and subscribe so others can stand firm in the truth of eternal salvation.#EternalSecurity #OnceSavedAlwaysSaved #Salvation #Assurance #ChristianFaith #BibleTeaching #Grace #VictoryInChrist #JoyInChrist

Touring through Thessalonica 5:13b-22 ("This is What the Local Church Should Look Like in Action") - Tim Eyschen - 30 November 2025

What should the local church look like in real life, not just on paper? In 1 Thessalonians 5:13b–22, Paul gives a series of practical instructions that show believers how to live out their faith in community so the world can see the true heart of Christ through His people. In this message, Pastor Tim unpacks these powerful verses with one aim in mind: to call the church back to a vibrant, visible faith. From pursuing peace to encouraging the fainthearted, from resisting evil to rejoicing always, God paints a picture of a church that is alive, awake and actively displaying His love.If you have ever wondered what it looks like to be part of a church that reflects the light of Jesus, this passage gives the blueprint. And every believer has a part to play.Be encouraged, be challenged and be reminded that when the people of God live out these instructions, the world sees a glimpse of the hope they desperately need.Listen in and let the Word reshape your vision of what church can be.

    AMA ("Various questions regarding 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18") - Tim Eyschen - 5 October 2025

We've been studying 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 lately and a few questions have been asked, which are:1. Why believe in a pre-tribulation rapture when the doctrine was invented in 1830?2. Does the pre-millennial view imply that the rapture will occur before the Great Tribulation?3. Will carnal Christians be taken up in the rapture?4. If the Old Testament saints didn't believe in Jesus, how are they saved?A few more were asked after the service but due to them not having a microphone, it's easier to cut that out and not include it in this video. We encourage you to listen to the livestream recorded on 5 October 2025 to be given a bit of insight on what those additional questions were.

  24. 180

Touring through Thessalonica 4:17-18 ("Why We Need to be Harpooned") - Tim Eyschen - 28 September 2025

This message will explain why the church needs to be harpooned out of here when it is time. The question is always when and it's plain in Paul's writing that it was imminent; meaning, it could happen any second.Your view of Israel will determine though whether you will agree with this message or not. Does God still have a plan for them. You will see in this message that God will use the Day of the Lord to fulfill his promises with His elect, Israel. The application for us is being comforted by the assurance we won't have to suffer the pain, which Israel and the rest of the Gentile world will have to endure for at least 3 and a half years here on earth before He sets up his millennial kingdom here on earth.First Thessalonians chapter four, among other passages covered in this message shows that the church will be harpooned out of here before that time comes. Why do we need to be harpooned out of here? Because the Day of the Lord in this context is not intended to be a time for His children to participate in.Feel free to use the comment section to ask any questions, which you'd like Pastor Tim to answer in his "Ask Me Anything" series.

Touring through Thessalonica 4:15-16 ("Mystery Solved") - Tim Eyschen - 21 September 2025

The rapture was a mystery - something that has been kept secret but revealed in due time. Hear in this message, verses 15 & 16 of 1 Thessalonians 4 expounded, which will help you gain a clearer insight into what the church back then was concerned with. Two thousand years later, people are still concerned over these same issues and you don't have to be. Maybe this will be the sermon where your mystery behind this prophetic event will be solved. If not, feel free to drop your questions in the comments section.

Touring through Thessalonica 13b-14 ("Hope through the Resurrection") - Tim Eyschen - 14 September 2025

How can someone like Erika Kirk, whose husband, Charlie, was tragically assassinated last week, have any hope when her world has been shattered so suddenly? The answer can only be Jesus. In this message from 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14, we look at how the early church in Thessalonica also wrestled with grief and loss. Their concern wasn’t whether their loved ones were in Heaven as Paul had already preached the saving gospel that Jesus died for our sins and rose again so we could escape Hell.Instead, their questions centered on Christ’s return. Paul comforts them by grounding their hope in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That same truth reminds us today that our faith in Him gives us assurance of eternal life and a heavenly home with our Father.Do you have that assurance? If not, now is the time to find out. Life is fragile and there may be less than 10 days remaining before this earth gets turned upside down. See the end of the message to know what this is talking about. Don’t wait to settle the most important question of all.👉 Watch now and discover the hope only Jesus can give.

Ephesians 5:22 is one of the most quoted and most misused verses in the Bible. In this message, Pastor Tim unpacks what Paul really meant when he wrote, “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”Far from giving men a license to dominate, this passage teaches a beautiful picture of love, respect, and partnership in marriage. Yet too often, husbands twist it in ways Paul never intended. In this sermon, we’ll look at three common abuses of Ephesians 5:22 in decision-making:1. Excluding the wife from important decisions.2. Demanding the final say without valuing her perspective.3. Refusing to lead at all and leaving everything up to her.Discover God’s design for marriage — a relationship where Christlike love and humble, mutual submission work together for His glory and our good.📖 Key Text: Ephesians 5:22📖 Other Texts: 1 Corinthians 7:4; Ephesians 5:21; Ephesians 5:25

We finished the month of May expounding 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12 and there's a question that retains to that last verse when it comes to God calling us into His kingdom and glory. Is this a past or future event? When it comes to looking at the various passages referring to the Kingdom of God, it seems to be that this is both a past and future event; both an earthly and celestial kingdom but one that is realised in all its fullness once the new heaven and new earth arrive as described in Revelation 21.The ultimate question from this study though - one that we all need to answer as well as ask those around us - is found in the conclusion of the message.I trust you can answer it in the positive. When I say Christian maturity, you might be more familiar with the word Spiritual maturity. Ultimately, we're talking about our sanctification or holiness as described in Romans 6:19 - a word used sometimes to refer to our walk/lifestyle in Christ becoming transformed more and more into His image each day.As Paul describes in the last verse of our passage, which we expounded on Sunday, the goal of ministry is for as many of us to, "walk in a manner worthy of God." The more of us that do this at Fraser Coast Baptist Church, the more of a witness we will be in the community. How's your walk going? Do you believe you are spiritually mature? I discovered five criteria in the passage of 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12, that Paul testifies himself living up to in his ministry, that we would do well in following ourselves. You may have been overwhelmed, like I was, in seeing this list of characteristics and then realised your level of faith wasn't as mature as you thought. If that is the case, the question I have for you then is:"Do you have the willingness or desire to level up your faith?" As we gained last week from looking at this passage, actions speak louder than words.

It's a question not just for Pastors and Teachers to ask but every Christian, who is doing some kind of ministry in their local context. Here are 7 criteria found in the first 6 verses of Paul's second chapter in his letter to the Thessalonian church, that can be used to assess whether our motives are pure - just like Paul's were.

Touring through Thessalonica 1:10 ("Can Jesus Come This Second?") - Tim Eyschen - 11 May 2025

This a question to ask someone to find out what their eschatology is. If the answer is no, it means they apply passages of Scripture to themselves when they are intended to be addressed to the Jews only. We talk about the doctrine of imminence which says that Jesus can come anytime, even this very second. AMA ("Why Do I Believe 1 John 1:9 Is an Evangelistic Verse?") - Tim Eyschen - 6 April 2025

I was brought up to believe in the importance of confessing my sins in order for my relationship with God to remain healthy. But is that was this verse is teaching? Did John have in mind Christians' habitual sins in mind when writing down this verse?I've now come to the conclusion that he didn't have Christians in mind even though countless others believe he's writing specifically to Christians in this letter. I aim to show logic that 1 John 1:9 is an evangelistic verse calling sinners to acknowledge their sin before a holy God.
