    Wellness-Spiritual Needs

    Did you know that it is much more difficult to maintain mental health without having spiritual needs met? Spirituality is not only a "spiritual" need, but it manifests its health physically and can be observed in brain activity and function. Spiritual connections increase the ability to think clearly, enhance critical thinking and cognitive function as well as create and reach personal goals. How is your spiritual connection lately and how might it be expanded?

    Wellness-Intellectual Needs

    Expanding knowledge, participating in new experiences as well as self improvement all can improve the intellectual area. Adding these things to our lifestyle can increase and expand existence; it can shift paradigms and open doors of possibilities. Empower your ability to create change and overcome addiction.

    Wellness-Emotional Needs Part 2

    Loss is something that we all must face in this life in one form or another. It can take on many forms from the loss of a loved one to a job or a home. Learn the stages of loss and grief that you might become more empowered to experience an individual loss or support family, friends or neighbors through a loss they may be experiencing. This emotional need is far too misunderstood. This episode can create a helpful empathy and understanding around the emotion of loss.

    Using CBT can improve EQ (Emotional Intelligence) as well as create a profound impact on the empowerment one can feel and obtain. Empowerment comes by taking control of thoughts and choosing how to entertain them. What thoughts are you thinking each day? Do you know the impact of thinking those thoughts?

    What is it that we need in order to survive. This is the foundation of existence! Without these things we struggle to improve ourselves. Take a quick deep dive into the value of water and nutrition and why it is important for our survival.

    This introduction sets up the next several episodes that will address each of the 7 areas of wellness one at a time as well as discussing the 10 "Hit" categories created by Dr. Neil Nedley. In the following episodes there may be many different ideas to help one overcome depression. You are invited to choose at least one of these areas to improve on. This will create some kind of change for you in your life. I understand that in order for things to change, I must change and in order for things to be better, I must be better. This council has been shown to be effective no matter who you are. The following episodes allow that opportunity for you to change something in a positive way.
