Signs of the Times: Shaken Foundations: May 17, 1776 - 250 Years Later | Hebrews 12:25-28 | M. Maher
America was born in a moment of shaking. On May 17, 1776, before independence was declared, the Continental Congress called the nation to humiliation, fasting, repentance, and prayer — asking God to establish America upon “a solid and lasting foundation.” Now, 250 years later, we again find ourselves in a time of shaking: political shaking | moral shaking | cultural shaking | spiritual shaking. Hebrews 12 reminds us that God allows shaking so that what cannot be shaken may remain. When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Like Nehemiah — rebuild the wall. Like Ezekiel — stand watch on the wall. Like Esther — intercede in the gap of the wall. Like Daniel — discern the writing on the wall. This Signs of the Times message explores America’s foundations, the dangers of false foundations, and the unshakable Kingdom of Christ. Scripture: Hebrews 12:25–28 Psalm 11:3 Matthew 7:24–27 Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. The Question At The End of the World — Who Can Stand? (The 6th Seal) | Revelation 6:12-17 | M. Maher
When the Lamb opens the sixth seal, the world doesn’t just watch judgment happen on earth—the earth itself begins to collapse. The sun turns black. The moon becomes like blood. The stars fall. Mountains shake. The sky recedes like a scroll. What began with deception in the first seal now erupts into cosmic unraveling. But Revelation 6 is more than apocalyptic imagery. It is a moment of recognition. Humanity knows exactly what is happening. They do not cry out for forgiveness—they cry out to hide from “the wrath of the Lamb.” The same Lamb who came first in mercy is now revealed in judgment. In this message, Pastor Matthew Maher walks through: • The Sixth Seal and cosmic collapse • “De-creation” language from Genesis to Revelation • The prophetic significance of the sun, moon, and stars • Why the earth shakes when God reveals Himself • The shocking phrase: “the wrath of the Lamb” • Why people flee from God’s presence instead of seeking Him • The question Revelation leaves us with: “Who is able to stand?” What the prophets warned…what Jesus confirmed…Revelation reveals. And when everything that can be shaken is shaken, only what is in Christ will remain. The Father’s Way: The Standard for Kingdom Life | Nick Johnson
This sermon introduces the Sermon on the Mount by tracing the biblical calling of humanity to image God through steadfast love and faithfulness. God reveals His own character to Moses as abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, then creates mankind in His image to reflect that character and represent His rule in covenant relationship. Yet Adam, Noah, Abraham, Israel, David, and David’s sons all fall short, creating the need for one faithful Son who can fulfill what every covenant son failed to become. Matthew presents Jesus as that faithful Son-King: the Son of David, Son of Abraham, beloved Son, and obedient Son who perfectly represents the Father. Therefore, in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches His people the kingdom ethic: heart-level obedience that displays the Father’s character so that His name is hallowed, His kingdom comes, and His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. When Heaven Hears the Martyrs’ Cry (The Fifth Seal) | Revelation 6:9–11 | Matthew Maher
What happens when faith costs everything? In the fifth seal of Revelation, the scene shifts from chaos on earth to a courtroom in heaven. The four horsemen have ridden—deception, war, famine, and death—and now we see the result: souls under the altar, crying out for justice. This message explores Revelation 6:9–11 and answers one of the most human questions in Scripture: “How long, O Lord?” These are not cries of doubt—they are cries of faith rooted in the character of God. He is holy. He is true. And His justice is not absent—it is appointed. Even in the darkest period of human history, the gospel is still advancing. The world may produce martyrs, but the Lamb is producing worshippers. God’s justice may be delayed—but it will not be denied. Signs of the Times: Is Modern Israel The Biblical Israel? (Scripture Over Speculation) | Matt Maher
People have strong opinions about Israel—political, cultural, and even conspiratorial. But instead of speculation, what does Scripture actually say? In this Signs of the Times message, we cut through the noise and go straight to the Word of God to answer one of the most important prophetic questions of our time: Is modern Israel the same Israel of the Bible? Has God replaced Israel—or is He not finished? What do God’s covenants, promises, and prophecy reveal? This message walks through: The two dimensions of Israel (Romans 9:6) God’s unbreakable covenant promises (Genesis 12, 15, 17) The scattering and regathering of Israel (Deut. 30, Ezekiel 36–37) Why the world is uniquely fixated on Israel (Zechariah 12:3) Israel’s current spiritual condition (Romans 11:25) The coming national salvation of Israel (Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11:26) If God keeps His promises to Israel…then He keeps His promises—period. This isn’t just about Israel. It’s about whether we trust the God of Israel and submit to His Word. Psalm 39: Don't Waste Your Breath | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
There are moments in life when you know you shouldn’t speak, but everything in you wants to. So you hold it in. You bite your tongue. You try to stay composed in a world that’s loud, wrong, and watching. But what you suppress doesn’t disappear—it builds. And before long, what started as restraint becomes pressure, and what was meant to guard your mouth begins to consume your heart. In Psalm 39, David takes us from a muzzled mouth to a burning soul, and ultimately to eternal perspective. This message unpacks the tension we all feel: Speaking too quickly… Suppressing too long… And reveals the solution: Before we speak to others, we must learn to speak to God. David’s turning point comes when he shifts from reacting to people to realigning before God: “And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” (Psalm 39:7) Hope is not found in fixing problems—it’s found in fixing your eyes on God’s promises. This sermon will challenge you to: Stop wasting your breath on unnecessary battles Stop carrying what was never yours to carry Start bringing everything to God Because life is a breath and your hope must be bigger than your breath. After The Lie Comes The Loss (Seals 2-4: The Red, Black, & Pale Horse) | Revelation 6:3-8 | Matthew Maher
The first horse brought deception. Now the consequences ride. In this message we open the next three seals of Revelation 6 and follow the red, black, and pale horses as they unleash war, famine, and death on a Christ-rejecting world. This is not random chaos — this is divine consequence. Seal by seal. Horse by horse. In order. In consequence. What the white horse promised, the red horse removes. What the red horse destroys, the black horse starves. What the black horse starves, the pale horse buries. And following behind the pale horse — Hades. A world that rejected the fullness of God will be famished without God. But there is hope. Because the same Lamb opening these seals holds the keys to Death and Hades. And what belongs to Him — no horse can take. In this sermon: • The red horse and the removal of peace — Revelation 6:3-4 • The black horse and engineered scarcity — Revelation 6:5-6 • The pale horse, Death, and Hades — Revelation 6:7-8 • The Greek word toxon — bow, poison, and God's covenant rainbow • Why judgment is sequential, not random • The only peace that cannot be taken — Romans 5:1, Colossians 1:20 • Christ holds the keys — Revelation 1:18 Scriptures referenced: Revelation 6:3-8 | Revelation 1:18 | Romans 5:1 | Colossians 1:20 | Daniel 9:27 | 1 Thessalonians 5:3 | Ezekiel 14:21 | Revelation 12:3 | John 6:35 Deception opens the door. War walks in. Famine empties the table. And death clears the room. But Christ holds the keys. The First Horse Rides On Deception (The First Seal) | Revelation 6:1-2 | Matthew Maher
Before the world falls apart… it first falls for the lie. In Revelation 6:1–2, the first seal is opened—and the first horse doesn’t bring war… it brings deception. A rider appears on a white horse, looking like a conqueror, offering peace, yet setting the stage for global delusion. Jesus warned that many would come in His name and deceive many (Matthew 24:5). Paul revealed how—Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). And Revelation shows us when. This message unpacks how a world that rejects truth becomes ready to receive a counterfeit—and how the Antichrist rises not through force, but through deception. The greatest danger in the last days isn’t that people will reject Jesus… it’s that they will accept a version of Him that isn’t real. Psalm 38: Pressed Until You Confess: Conviction Over Condemnation | Matthew Maher
What do you do when the weight of your sin won’t go away? In Psalm 38, David gives us a raw and honest look at what it feels like to live under conviction—the pressure, the heaviness, the silence, and ultimately… the turning. This isn’t about condemnation. It’s about conviction. And the difference changes everything. If you’ve ever felt that internal weight you couldn’t shake, this message will show you why. The pressure isn’t punishment—it’s pursuit. Revelation 6–18 Overview: Heaven’s Order, Earth’s Collapse | The Final Seven Years | Matthew Maher
What looks like chaos on earth is actually controlled judgment from heaven. In this message, we walk through Revelation 6–18, the most intense seven-year period in human history—the Great Tribulation. This is not random destruction or symbolic confusion. It is a structured, escalating unveiling of God’s judgment, released by the Lamb who once took judgment for the world. From the seals to the trumpets to the bowls, we see how judgment unfolds, intensifies, and ultimately leads to the collapse of a Christ-rejecting world system. But behind it all is a deeper reality—a spiritual war that has been raging since before time. Revelation 12 reveals the war. Revelation 13 reveals the beast. Revelation 14 reminds us—the Lamb wins. This is not just prophecy… it’s trajectory. The question is not “do you understand it all”—the question is: “Do you know the One who holds it all?” Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. There Is Power In The Thorn | 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 | Nick Johnson
This sermon explores 2 Corinthians 12:7–10 by reframing weakness as the very means through which Christ’s power is displayed. It argues that Paul’s “thorn” is not a single issue but the ongoing hardships of his ministry, given by God to keep him humble and dependent. Through suffering, Paul learns that God’s grace is not removal of difficulty but sustaining presence and power within it. As a result, Paul moves from pleading for relief to boasting in weakness, recognizing it as the platform for Christ’s work in him. The sermon calls believers to trust God in their own “thorns,” seeing them not as obstacles but as instruments through which God accomplishes His purposes. Where Is The Lamb? The Story From Genesis To Revelation | Easter 2026 | Landmark Church | Matt Maherb
From the beginning, the Bible has been asking one question: “Where is the Lamb?” (Genesis 22:7) From Abraham… to Passover… to the cross—every sacrifice was pointing to Jesus. “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) He didn’t just come to teach—He came to be the sacrifice. Not just to die for you… but instead of you. And how do we know it worked? There is no body in the grave. He is risen. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!” (Revelation 5:12) The Lamb you were looking for is the Lamb who was looking for you. What’s with the Palms? A Misunderstood Victory | Palm Sunday | Nick Johnson
This sermon explores the meaning behind the palm branches waved on Palm Sunday and why the crowd misunderstood the kind of victory Jesus came to accomplish. While the people expected political deliverance, Christ came to secure a far greater victory over sin, death, and the wrath of God through His life, death, and resurrection. By examining the historical, biblical, and symbolic significance of the palms, we see that true victory was only possible through the incarnation—God entering into our condition to redeem us. The message calls us to see Jesus clearly, trust Him fully, and live lives rooted in His righteousness. Ultimately, Palm Sunday is not just a celebration of a moment, but a preview of the final victory that will be fully realized in the presence of God. The Rod of God's Wisdom | Proverbs 13:24 | Terence Sikoryak | Landmark Church
Proverbs teaches that true wisdom embraces discipline, while foolishness rejects correction and leads to harm. God’s “rod” represents loving guidance—providing direction, protection, and correction so we can live rightly. The Ten Commandments serve as this framework, not to restrict us, but to keep our lives aligned and flourishing. When we accept God’s discipline, we experience stability, blessing, and a legacy that outlives us. Psalm 37: Evil Is Winning... Or Is It? | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
Psalm 37 answers one of the oldest questions believers wrestle with: Why do the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous struggle? In this teaching, we walk through David’s wisdom as he contrasts two completely different ways of living: the way of the wicked and the way of the righteous. The wicked may appear powerful, wealthy, and successful for a moment, but their influence is temporary. The righteous, though often overlooked or opposed, are upheld by the Lord and ultimately inherit what God has promised. David shows us that God’s economy operates differently than the world’s. What the world measures by riches, power, and control, God measures by righteousness, trust, and faithfulness. If you’ve ever been discouraged by the apparent success of evil or wondered how believers should respond when injustice seems to prevail, Psalm 37 gives a clear answer: Do not fret. Trust the Lord. The end of the righteous is peace. “The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.” — Psalm 37:39 Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. The Scroll Taken, The Lamb Crowned | Revelation 5:8-14 | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
In Revelation 5, heaven erupts in worship as the Lamb takes the scroll— God's final decree and the title deed of the earth. The One who was slain for the redemption of the world is now revealed as the rightful ruler of the world. What follows is one of the most powerful scenes in Scripture: heaven’s song of redemption and the coronation of the Lamb. This passage reminds us that Jesus is not only the Savior who shed His blood to redeem sinners, but the King who will reclaim what was lost through sin. The Lamb who once took judgment for the world will now release judgment upon the world, and all creation will ultimately acknowledge His authority. In this message we explore: • The meaning of the scroll in Revelation 5 • The prayers of the saints rising before God • The song of redemption heaven had never sung before • The role of the kinsman-redeemer • The sevenfold praise declaring Christ’s authority • Why all creation will one day worship the Lamb Before the seals of judgment are opened in Revelation 6, heaven settles the question of authority: The Lamb is worthy. The Lion, The Lamb, and The Scroll | Revelation 5:1-8 | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
In Revelation 4, John is taken into the throne room of heaven where worship never ceases. The throne is settled. The King is seated. The living creatures cry, “Holy, holy, holy,” and the elders respond, “You are worthy.” But in Revelation 5, the scene suddenly shifts. John sees a scroll in the right hand of the One on the throne — and a question echoes through heaven: Who is worthy to open it? This message walks through Revelation 5:1–8, revealing why the Lion of the tribe of Judah alone is worthy to take the scroll and begin the unfolding of God’s plan for history. The Lion who conquered is the Lamb who was slain — and only He has the right to reclaim what was lost. Truth Conceived vs. Truth Believed | John 8:1-11 | Nick Johnson
In John 8:1–11, we witness the collision between human self-appointed authority and divine truth. Religious leaders attempt to trap Jesus with the Law, but the embodiment of Truth turns a legal dispute into a confrontation of the conscience. As accusations fall silent and stones drop to the ground, we see that when Truth stands in the room, autonomy crumbles and hearts are exposed. Yet the same Word who judges also shows mercy, freeing the guilty and calling them into new obedience. This sermon invites us to consider whether we will stand over against Christ in self-righteous confidence—or sit at His feet, receive His grace, and walk in the light. Fulfillment or Frustration it’s your Choice | Proverbs 13:12-18 | Terence Sikoryak | Landmark Church
Fulfillment and frustration do not come from circumstances, but from whether a man remains under God’s authority or insists on governing himself. The fear of the Lord brings the soul into proper order, where the mind submits to truth, the emotions become quiet, and the will yields in obedience, allowing God’s life to flow unhindered. When a man resists correction and clings to self-rule, he may preserve his independence, but he loses inward life and becomes governed by decay rather than by grace. Therefore, in the time remaining, the decisive question is not what a man achieves outwardly, but whether he has surrendered inwardly—because only the surrendered life can know true fulfillment before God. Signs of the Times: The World Will Hate You | John 15:18-20 | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
Jesus didn’t say the world might hate His followers. He said it would. In John 15:18–19, Christ prepared His disciples for something many modern believers are not prepared for — hostility. Not because Christians are combative, but because holiness confronts a world system organized in rebellion against God. In this message, we examine: • Why persecution is not a glitch but a feature of following Christ • How hostility toward holiness is a sign of the times • The historical pattern of mockery → marginalization → dehumanization • Why repentance divides • How believers are called to respond — not with outrage, but with resolve From Acts to Revelation, Scripture makes clear: faithfulness to Christ brings friction with the world. Persecution is not proof the Church is losing. It is proof the Church is alive. The Sight & Sound of Heaven: Holiness Before Judgment | Revelation 4:6b-11 | Matthew Maher
In Revelation 4, John is brought into the throne room of heaven—and before a single seal is opened, before judgment is released, heaven shows us what is central: the holiness of God and the worship of heaven. In this message from Revelation 4:6b–11, we encounter the four living creatures (cherubim), the unceasing cry of “Holy, holy, holy,” and the twenty-four elders falling down to cast their crowns before the throne. Revelation reminds us: heaven is not chaotic, anxious, or rushed. It is fixed on God. Before wrath breaks forth on earth, worship rises in heaven. The Throne Before The Tribulation | Revelation 4:1-6a | Matthew Maher
In Revelation 4, heaven opens—and the first thing John sees is not chaos, not judgment, not angels in motion… but a throne. Before the tribulation unfolds on earth, Scripture reveals the settled authority of heaven. God is not reacting—He is reigning. The throne is established, the King is seated, and everything that follows in Revelation 6–19 flows from this throne-room reality. In this message, we walk verse-by-verse through Revelation 4:1–6, seeing the prophetic hinge of “after these things,” the heavenly administration of what comes next, the glory of the One on the throne, the crowned elders surrounding Him, and the holiness that precedes judgment. The world below may be shaking—but the throne above is settled. Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. Psalm 36: When The Fear of God Is Gone | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
In Psalm 36, David exposes what happens when there is no fear of God before our eyes. Sin doesn’t accuse—it affirms. The wicked flatter themselves, minimize evil, and drift into a lifestyle of deception and arrogance. But then the psalm makes a stunning theological pivot: from the darkness of man to the heights of God. God’s mercy reaches to the heavens, His righteousness stands like the mountains, and His people find refuge under the shadow of His wings. This message is a call to recover a big view of God, a proper hatred of sin, and a deep trust in the Lord’s justice. You don’t have to fight for vengeance—pride will take the wicked “there,” and God will deal with them far better than we ever could. Is The Church In The Tribulation (The Rapture Isn't A Secret - Part 2) | Matthew 24 | Matthew Maher
Few doctrines generate more confusion than the rapture — not because Scripture is unclear, but because different passages are often flattened into a single event. In Part 2 of this teaching, we return to the passages people struggle with most: Matthew 24. The “elect.” The last trumpet. The restrainer. Israel and the Church. Rather than avoiding these texts, we place them in their proper context and allow Scripture to interpret Scripture. In this message, we explore: • Why Matthew 24 describes the Second Coming, not the rapture • Who the “elect” are — and why context matters • Why the “last trumpet” is not the same trumpet everywhere • What must be removed before the Antichrist is revealed • How salvation continues during the Tribulation • Why distinguishing Israel and the Church is foundational to biblical prophecy • Why imminence matters for how believers live today This doctrine was never meant to divide the Church. It was meant to anchor hope, fuel holiness, and produce urgency. Built to Stand Together: Striving Side by Side for the Gospel | Philippians 1:27-30| Nick Johnson
This sermon explores Paul’s call in Philippians 1:27–30 for believers to live in a manner worthy of the gospel by standing firm together in unity and courage. Through vivid biblical teaching and powerful illustrations, we see that perseverance under pressure is not achieved alone but through a church striving side by side in one Spirit and one purpose. Paul’s prayer for ever-growing, Christ-shaped love reveals that unity is both the foundation of spiritual strength and the means God uses to advance the gospel in the midst of suffering. The message challenges personal agendas that fracture the body of Christ and calls believers to sacrificial love that builds one another up. Ultimately, it shows that when the church stands united under pressure, Christ is glorified and the world sees the power of the gospel on display. Psalm 35: Trusting God With The Verdict: Justice Without Vengeance | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
Psalm 35 gives us a blueprint for prayer when injustice is personal and the wounds are deep. David doesn’t take revenge into his own hands—he takes his case to God. Using courtroom language and battlefield imagery, David pleads for God to step in as Judge, Defender, and Warrior. This sermon explores: Why biblical justice is different from personal vengeance How entrusting your case to God protects your heart from bitterness Why delay does not mean God is indifferent How Psalm 35 ultimately points us to Jesus Christ—the innocent One who absorbed injustice to secure eternal justice When you are slandered, surrounded, and silenced, Psalm 35 teaches us how to pray without becoming what opposes us. Psalm 34: Not Safe, But Secure | Matthew Maher
Psalm 34 was written by David after one of the most humiliating moments of his life—when he fled for his life and pretended madness before King Achish in Gath. What followed was not bitterness or silence, but praise. This psalm shows us how public worship can be born from private crisis, and how deliverance does not always mean escape, but redemption. In this message, we walk through Psalm 34 as both wisdom and testimony, tracing David’s journey from fear to praise, from desperation to invitation, and from affliction to assurance. We discover that praise is not driven by feelings, but by focus; not shaped by circumstances, but by perspective. God delivers us not only from enemies, but from fear itself—and He draws especially near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34 also points us forward to Christ. David writes that God guards all the bones of the righteous, foreshadowing Jesus’ crucifixion, where not one of His bones was broken. Unbroken bones reveal unbroken promises. Righteousness does not exempt us from suffering, but it guarantees redemption through it. This psalm ends where the Gospel begins: rescue by redemption. Trusting the Lord does not remove tribulation, but it does remove condemnation. The Rapture Isn't A Secret (Part 1) | Revelation 3:10, 4:1 | Matthew Maher
In this message from our study through Revelation, we pause between chapters 3 and 4 to address one of the most debated doctrines in the New Testament: the rapture. Is it a modern invention, escapism, or a biblical promise spoken by Jesus Himself? Starting with Revelation 3:10 (“I will keep you from the hour of trial…”) and Revelation 4:1 (“Come up here…”), we trace the storyline of Scripture to show why the rapture is not a secret idea, but a consistent biblical expectation. We examine the promise of being kept from the coming “hour,” the structure of Revelation, Old Testament foreshadows (Enoch and Noah), Jesus’ own teaching (John 14; Luke 21; Luke 17), and Paul’s clear explanation of the catching away (1 Thessalonians 4; 1 Corinthians 15). This teaching is not meant to divide the Church, but to comfort, purify, and awaken the Church as we await our Groom—Jesus Christ. Key Scriptures: Revelation 3:10; Revelation 4:1; Genesis 5–7; John 14:1–3; Acts 1:9–11; Luke 21:36; Luke 17:26–30; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:9 If you have questions about Matthew 24, the elect, or the last trumpet, stay tuned—those are exactly what we address next. Signs of the Times | Lawlessness & The Lens of Delusion: Is ICE The Gestapo? | Matthew Maher
With every passing week, new headlines surface—but beneath the noise, a deeper pattern is being revealed. Lawlessness is defended. Authority is vilified. Moral categories are inverted. And many are increasingly confident in beliefs that Scripture warned us about long ago. In this Signs of the Times message, Pastor Matthew walks verse by verse through Romans 13:1–5, exposing what the Bible teaches about God-ordained authority, law and order, conscience, and restraint. This sermon is not about a political party or a single incident—it is about spiritual discernment in an age of moral confusion. The provocative question “Is ICE the Gestapo?” is not posed as a historical claim, but as a diagnostic lens—revealing how cultural rhetoric, media narratives, and ideological conditioning shape how people define good and evil. Drawing from Isaiah 5:20, Romans 1, Matthew 24, and key Old Testament warnings, this message confronts the inversion of truth happening in real time. You’ll also hear: • Why lawlessness is more than chaos—it’s moral relativity • How dehumanizing rhetoric conditions people to excuse violence • Why restraint is a biblical mercy, not tyranny • The role of the Church in times of confusion • Why the Book of Revelation matters now This message calls believers to clarity—not outrage. Faithfulness—not fear. Discernment—not delusion. Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. The Age of Wisdom: 70 Years Is Not A Long Time | Proverbs 16:31 | Terence Sikoryak
Turning 70 is not about age—it is about having lived, endured, and learned. Scripture teaches that gray hair is not a liability but a crown earned through righteousness (Proverbs 16:31). It represents seasons survived, suffering integrated, and wisdom forged through trial. Our culture elevates speed, youth, and technology, but God links reverence for age with reverence for Himself (Leviticus 19:32). To honor the aged is to honor time, its cost, and its authority. The Law That Liberates | Nick Johnson
This sermon explores how true freedom in Christ reshapes our identity, restores our dignity, and compels us to fight against sin rather than return to it. Drawing on Scripture, historical illustrations, and vivid imagery, it contrasts the identity-shaping power of bondage with the liberating authority of sonship. The message shows that sin does not merely control behavior but forms identity, while Christ frees us to become who we were created to be. Freedom, rightly understood, is not passive but purposeful—it leads to joyful obedience and active resistance against sin. In Christ, we are not freed from obedience but freed for righteousness, mission, and life with God. Surrender: Where Faith & Finance Meet | John Shirk
Surrender: Where Faith & Finance Meet explores how our trust in God is revealed through the way we view and handle money. From warnings about the love of money to the invitation to invest in eternal treasure, Scripture challenges us to surrender our finances to the Lord. Sickness of the Heart | Nick Johnson
This sermon explores the biblical call to vigilance by framing sin as both an internal sickness that must be treated and an enemy that must be confronted. Drawing from Proverbs 4 and the language of Scripture, it clarifies where the battle with sin is truly fought, within the heart, not merely against external influences like the world or Satan. The message challenges common patterns of blame-shifting and emphasizes the believer’s responsibility to actively put sin to death while resting in Christ’s finished work. Grounded in the resurrection of Jesus, the sermon shows how victory over sin empowers watchful, disciplined, and hope-filled obedience. Ultimately, it calls believers to guard their hearts with confidence, knowing that life and healing flow from Christ’s triumph. The Light That Breaks The Darkness (Christmas Eve) | Isaiah 9, Luke 2 | Matthew Maher
Before the first Christmas night, the world sat in silence. For 400 years, heaven had not spoken — and yet, God was not absent. In this message, we explore how Christmas is not merely a moment in history, but the moment God stepped into human darkness with His presence. From Isaiah’s prophecy of light breaking into darkness to the angel’s announcement to overlooked shepherds, this sermon reminds us that God does not shout hope from a distance — He enters our night to bring redemption. Christmas is not about sentimentality, tradition, or religion; it is about a Savior who came for the broken, the weary, and the fearful. If you’ve ever felt stuck in silence, overwhelmed by darkness, or unsure if hope is still possible, this message is for you. The Light has come — and the Light still shines. God's Wisdom in the Christmas Message: Enjoy the Season But Get the Message | Terence Sikoryak
Christmas is not just a sentimental tradition, but a moment of divine wisdom calling us to discern God’s greater redemptive plan. Rooted in John 3:16, it reveals the true meaning of Christmas through four realities: humanity’s danger of perishing, God’s loving design to rescue us through Christ, our duty to respond in faith and surrender, and our destiny of eternal life that begins now. Drawing from Proverbs, it contrasts superficial celebration with wise discernment, urging listeners not to miss what God is revealing in the season. Christmas is shown as the fulfillment of God’s long-planned compassion—new life formed through the womb—calling each person to respond personally to the gospel. Ultimately, the message invites us to enjoy Christmas fully, but to do so with wisdom that leads to life, transformation, and eternity with God. The Seven Church Ages: History Written As Prophecy | Revelation 2-3 | Matthew Maher
Today’s message walks through Revelation 2–3 and reveals that these seven letters aren’t just ancient correspondence — they form a prophetic panorama of church history. From the Apostolic Church of Ephesus to the lukewarm age of Laodicea, we see how Christ has walked among His Church from Pentecost to the present day, calling His people to purity, faithfulness, endurance, and repentance. Before Jesus judges the world, He examines His Church. Before He restores creation, He refines His people. These letters operate on three levels: Literal: Seven real churches in Asia Minor Local: Timeless lessons for every believer Lineal: A prophetic outline of the entire Church Age From first-love passion to doctrinal preservation, from persecution to state power, from reformation to global missions — history hasn’t merely unfolded… prophecy has been fulfilled. And now we live in the final chapter. Christ is still knocking. A remnant is still listening. And soon — the voice like a trumpet will call: “Come up here.” (Revelation 4:1) If you are born again, you will burn again. The Seven Churches | Laodicea: The Cure For A Sick Church (Part 2) | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
In Part 2 of our study of Laodicea, Pastor Matthew Maher walks through Revelation 3:18–22 and shows how Jesus offers the cure for the most deceived and self-sufficient church of the seven. After exposing their lukewarm condition, Christ invites them to true wealth, true covering, true sight, and true fellowship. This message reveals: • The three spiritual cures Jesus prescribes • Why Christ’s correction flows from His affection • How Luke 15 illustrates the Father’s pursuit of His people • What it means for Jesus—the Door—to stand at the door knocking • The highest promise given to the overcomer: sitting with Christ on His throne If you’ve ever felt lukewarm, self-reliant, or spiritually drifting, this passage is for you. The Gospel confronts us before it converts us—and the same Jesus who exposes our condition invites us back into fellowship with Him. Glory in the Setbacks: When God Turns You Back to Move You Forward | Exodus 14:1-25 | Nick Johnson
This sermon explores how God sometimes leads His people into unexpected setbacks; moments that feel like going backwards, in order to reveal His glory and strengthen their faith. Drawing from Exodus 14, we see Israel trapped at the Red Sea not by accident, but by divine design, as God positions them where only His power can save. In their fear, God moves the pillar of fire behind them, stands between them and destruction, and displays His glory by breaking the wheels of Egypt’s chariots. The same glory that fought for Israel now strengthens believers from within, as Paul prays in Ephesians 3:14–16. Through personal testimony and Scripture, the message calls us to trust God’s hand in our pain, knowing His glory was at work then, is at work now, and will be revealed fully in the days to come. The Seven Churches | Laodicea: The Church That Makes Jesus Sick (Part 1) | Matthew Maher
In this message from our Revelation series, Pastor Matthew Maher exposes the true condition of the Laodicean church — a congregation so self-sufficient, so comfortable, and so spiritually complacent that Jesus says it makes Him sick. This final church in the prophetic panorama reveals a sobering warning to today’s American church: wealth without worship, activity without awe, reputation without regeneration. Laodicea said, “We have need of nothing,” but Jesus said they were “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” In this sermon, we unpack: • Why Jesus calls Himself “the Amen,” the “Faithful and True Witness,” and the “Beginning of creation.” • What lukewarmness really is (and why it’s not laziness, but misplaced treasure). • How cultural comfort produces spiritual blindness. • Why repentance is the only cure for indifference. • How this diagnosis prepares us for next week’s message: “Laodicea: The Cure For A Sick Church.” Before Jesus sets the world in order, He sets His house in order. When Babel Goes Digital: The Tech Revolution That Leads to Revelation | Matthew Maher
The first Tower of Babel was built with bricks—this one is being built with bandwidth. In this prophetic message, Pastor Matthew Maher reveals how modern technology, global connectivity, and artificial intelligence are rebuilding the digital Babel and preparing the world for the Beast System of Revelation 13. Learn how: • Babel provides the blueprint for global control • Technology is reassembling what God once scattered • Digital currency, biometric ID, and surveillance set up Rev. 13:16–17 • AI and global media make an “image that speaks” (Rev. 13:15) possible • Convenience becomes conformity, efficiency becomes enslavement, and security becomes surrender • The Church must stay rooted in Scripture, not the algorithm • In a world driven by AI, believers must be led by eternal intelligence We are the first generation where Revelation doesn’t sound symbolic—it sounds systemized. Proverbs 13: Choices That Shape Our Lives | Terence Sikoryak
Drawing connections to modern culture—including the lure of wealth, the commodification of creativity, and the dangers of pride—the message emphasizes that wisdom protects while foolishness inevitably collapses. By examining themes such as diligence, contentment, counsel, and the law of sowing and reaping, the sermon calls listeners to pursue inner character rather than outward success. Ultimately, it urges us to anchor our lives in godly wisdom, practice daily gratitude, and choose the path that leads to enduring fruitfulness. Psalm 33: When Order Is Optional, Collapse Is Inevitable | Matthew Maher
In this message from Psalm 33, Pastor Matthew Maher takes us from the Word that creates to the Eye that sees — showing how God’s truth brings order to a world that celebrates confusion. Creation still obeys God’s command. Culture does not. And Psalm 33 draws a bold line between heaven’s counsel and man’s collapse. What happens when nations reject God’s Word? What does God see when He looks at the world — and at us? Why is worship our first response to a world out of order? The Seven Churches | Philadelphia: The True Evangelical Church | Revelation 3:7-13 | Matthew Maher
In this message, “Philadelphia: The True Evangelical Church,” Pastor Matthew Maher walks through Revelation 3:7–13 — a letter to a church that had little strength, but lasting faith. Where Sardis had reputation without life, Philadelphia held fast to Christ’s Word and did not deny His Name. Jesus sets before this church an open door that no one can shut, reminding us that the advance of the Gospel is not driven by human influence, platform, or power — but by faithfulness, surrender, and obedience. This passage points us to the missionary movement of history, the endurance of the remnant, and the promise Christ gives to those who refuse to compromise. Psalm 32: Hiding From God or Hidden In God? | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
In this message, “Hiding From God or Hidden In God?” Pastor Matthew Maher walks through Psalm 32 — a psalm of confession, cleansing, and the kind of joy that only forgiveness can bring. From David’s silence and shame to his freedom and song, this psalm reveals the difference between concealing sin and confessing sin — between hiding from God and finding refuge in God. When we stop covering what we’ve done, God starts covering who we are. And the life that was once weighed down with guilt becomes surrounded by mercy and filled with praise. Because blessing doesn’t begin when we behave — blessing begins when we are forgiven. The Seven Churches | Sardis: Reputation Without Regeneration | Revelation 3:1-6 | Matthew Maher
Sardis was a church that looked alive — but was spiritually dead. Jesus calls them to wake up, strengthen what remains, and return to the life they once had in Him. This message exposes the danger of a Christianity built on memory, motion, and image — and the urgent call to pursue a faith that is alive in the power of the Holy Spirit. In an age where many churches have reputation without regeneration, programs without power, and motion without devotion — this word is timely, necessary, and sobering. Christ is still walking among His churches. And He is still calling His people to awaken. Signs of the Times | No Kings: Not A Moment In Time But A Mentality of Our Times | Matthew Maher
What we’re watching in the streets isn’t just protest — it’s prophecy. The chant “No Kings” isn’t a moment in time; it’s a mentality of our times. This isn’t about Trump, politics, or personalities — it’s about lawlessness, the same rebellion that echoed in the days of the Judges: “There was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” In this powerful installment of Signs of the Times, Pastor Matthew Maher exposes how today’s cries of “No Kings” mirror the moral anarchy of Judges, the defiance of Babel, and the delusion of Romans 1. From protests that parade rebellion to the corruption that calls evil good, we are witnessing a reprobate mind in real time. This message confronts the spiritual war behind the cultural one — reminding us that law and order aren’t political, they’re biblical. Because when man rejects God’s rule, chaos fills the vacuum. And while the world screams “No Kings,” the Church must still proclaim: “Long live the King.” Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. The Seven Churches | Thyatira: When The Church Tolerates Jezebel | Revelation 2:18-29 | Matthew Maher
In Revelation 2:18–29, Jesus addresses the church in Thyatira—the smallest of the seven cities but the one that receives His longest and most sobering letter. What began as compromise in Pergamos becomes corruption in Thyatira—when tolerance toward sin turns into spiritual treason. Jezebel’s story didn’t end in the Old Testament. Her spirit resurfaces in the New Testament church—replacing divine authority with human control, revelation with religion, and intimacy with influence. Through history, that same spirit has been institutionalized: when the Church married the State, hierarchy replaced headship, and the system replaced the Savior. This message exposes the spirit of Jezebel—past, present, and prophetic—and calls the Church back to faithfulness, purity, and repentance before Christ’s return.
