Week 3: Joy – The Astonished Messenger The holidays are supposed to be about joy, but for many of us, they just become a stressful chase for happiness—the perfect gift, the perfect party, the perfect moment. We spend so much energy pursuing that "peak experience," only to find that happiness is fragile and often leads to disappointment or exhaustion (think of the chaos of a traffic jam on Mount Everest! ). But what if the greatest joy isn't something you chase? Big Idea: Jesus offers joy in the midst of pain.
