Daily Devotions: Spiritual Security - May 14, 2026
John 10:27–30 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reflects on the comforting words of Jesus about the security believers have in Him. Jesus describes His followers as sheep who hear His voice, are known by Him, and are safely held in His hand. Pastor Sumrall explains that salvation is not meant to leave believers living in constant fear or uncertainty. While a person can choose to walk away from God, no outside force, person, or power can snatch a believer away from Him. This truth gives Christians confidence and peace in their relationship with God. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to rest in the security of your salvation, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and trust in the faithful grip of the Father’s hand over your life. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Unseen Advantages Bring Victory - May 13, 2026
1 Samuel 17:39–40, 48–49 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall shares a lesson from David’s victory over Goliath. David refused to fight pretending to be someone he was not. Instead of wearing Saul’s armor, he chose to use the skills and tools he already knew as a shepherd, teaching us that victory often comes through the abilities God has already placed in our hands. Pastor Sumrall explains that David’s greatest advantage was something Goliath never noticed. While Goliath focused on the shepherd’s staff, he failed to recognize the sling; the weapon David had mastered through years of experience. Sometimes the strengths God has given us may seem small or insignificant, but they are exactly what God will use to bring victory. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to stop comparing yourself to others, embrace who God has made you to be right now, and trust that the gifts and experiences He has already placed in your life are enough for the battles ahead. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: The God Who Settles Accounts - May 12, 2026
1 Samuel 15:1–2 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reflects on the justice of God and reminds believers that while God is full of grace and mercy, He is also a God who settles accounts. The same God who offers forgiveness is also holy and just, and Scripture teaches that there comes a time when He deals with wrongdoing and unrighteousness. Pastor Sumrall explains that many people today want to embrace grace without acknowledging holiness, accountability, or the reality of reaping what has been sown. Yet God’s justice is part of His nature, and believers are called to trust Him rather than seek personal revenge or bitterness. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to rest in God’s justice, walk in holiness, and trust that He sees every wrong and will deal with all things in His perfect time and way. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: The Effect of Wrong Doctrines - May 11, 2026
John 9:16; 9:1–3 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall explains why doctrine truly matters. He teaches that what we believe shapes how we interpret everything around us, spiritually and even in everyday life. Wrong doctrine can cause people to misjudge what God is doing, just as the Pharisees misinterpreted the miracles of Jesus because of their incorrect understanding. Pastor Sumrall also shows us how wrong doctrine can lead to wrong attitudes toward people. Instead of showing compassion, people can become critical, judgmental, or even harmful toward others who do not fit their beliefs. In contrast, Jesus responded with truth and compassion, focusing on helping and restoring those affected. As you watch this episode, you’ll be encouraged to value sound doctrine, allow Scripture to shape your understanding, and follow Jesus’ example by responding to people with both truth and grace. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Enemy of Destiny May 10, 2026
1 Samuel 20:1, 30–31 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches an important truth about dealing with enemies. He explains that not all opposition comes from something you’ve done wrong. Sometimes, people choose to oppose you simply because of your calling and the destiny God has placed on your life. Pastor Sumrall highlights how David was confused by Saul’s hostility, trying to understand what he had done to deserve it. But Saul’s actions were not based on reason—they were driven by fear and a desire to stop God’s plan for David. This reminds us that some conflicts are not logical and cannot be resolved by explanation or effort. As you watch this episode, you’ll be encouraged to stop overanalyzing opposition, trust God’s purpose for your life, and remain confident that no one can stop the destiny He has prepared for you.

Daily Devotions: Three Lessons in Leadership - May 9, 2026
1 Samuel 18:12–16 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall shares three powerful lessons on leadership from the life of David. He explains that when God’s presence is upon a person, it brings success, but it can also stir fear in others, especially those who feel threatened by that success. Pastor Sumrall highlights that success often attracts opposition, not because of failure, but because of growth and progress. Leaders must be prepared for this reality and remain grounded in God’s calling rather than the reactions of others. He also emphasizes that true leadership is built through connection with people. David was loved because he lived, worked, and fought alongside those he led. Real leaders do not isolate themselves but stay close to the people they serve. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to pursue God’s presence, remain steady through opposition, and lead with humility by walking closely with the people God has entrusted to you. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Truth Offends - May 7, 2026
John 6:60–61 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reminds us that Jesus was never focused on popularity, acceptance, or fitting in with the expectations of others. Instead, He spoke truth boldly, even when it challenged, confronted, or offended those who heard it. Pastor Sumrall explains that truth does not adjust itself to human opinion. When Jesus taught, some people were offended because His words exposed hearts and required change. In the same way, real biblical teaching will not always feel comfortable, but it is meant to transform lives, not simply please people. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to embrace truth even when it challenges you, understanding that growth often comes through conviction, and that a life grounded in God’s Word is more important than popularity or approval. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Believe in Jesus - May 6, 2026
John 6:27–29 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall brings us back to the simplicity of salvation. When asked what God requires, Jesus points to one central truth—faith. The foundation of a relationship with God has always been the same: to believe in Jesus. Pastor Sumrall explains that throughout Scripture, from the Old Testament to the New, righteousness has always come through faith, not through human effort or works. While many today lean toward extremes, either solely relying on works or misunderstanding grace. Jesus brings clarity by focusing on belief in Him. As you watch this episode, return to the core of your faith, setting aside confusion and embracing the simple, powerful truth that God calls us to believe in His Son. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Respect Ownership - May 5, 2026
Proverbs 22:28; 23:10 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches about respecting ownership and honoring boundaries. He explains that Scripture clearly warns against taking what does not belong to us, including land or property, reminding believers that integrity must guide how we treat others’ possessions. Pastor Sumrall emphasizes that this principle applies to everyone. Just as the wealthy must not exploit the poor, those in need must also resist the temptation to justify taking what belongs to others. God calls His people to live with fairness and respect, regardless of their situation. As you watch this episode, be challenged to live with integrity in every area of life, trusting that as you honor what belongs to others, God is able to bless you with what is rightfully your own. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: A Miracle of Provision - May 4, 2026
John 6:10–12 (ESV) In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall shares principles from the miracle of the loaves and fish, reminding us how God’s provision works, especially in difficult seasons. He explains that before provision flows, there must first be order and discipline, as Jesus instructed the people to sit down and be organized before the miracle began. Pastor Sumrall emphasizes that multiplication happens only in the hands of Jesus. When we place what we have into His hands, no matter how small, He is the one who multiplies it. He also highlights that God’s provision is abundant, meeting needs generously but it must be handled with stewardship, as Jesus instructed that nothing be wasted. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to bring your resources to God, live with discipline and gratitude, and trust Him as the source of abundant provision in every season of life. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: When Relationships Triumphs Over Principle, the Future Is Destroyed - May 3, 2026
John 5:19 (ESV) – “So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father[a does, that the Son does likewise.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches a powerful lesson about avoiding comparison and imitation in the Christian life. Instead of copying what appears successful in others, Jesus modeled a life fully dependent on the Father; doing only what He saw the Father doing. Pastor Sumrall explains that true effectiveness in ministry, leadership, and daily life does not come from following trends or imitating others, but from a personal relationship with God. Through prayer, worship, and time in His presence, believers can discern what God specifically wants them to do. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to seek God’s direction for your own life, resist the pressure to copy others, and walk confidently in the unique path He has prepared for you. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Faith Obeys - May 1, 2026
John 4:50 (ESV) - “Jesus said to him, ‘Go; your son will live.’ The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches that not all miracles happen the same way, but many are released through simple obedience to God’s word. He highlights how Jesus sometimes healed not through touch or visible action, but by giving a command that required faith to obey. Pastor Sumrall explains that the official’s son was healed the moment the father chose to believe and act on Jesus’ instruction. In the same way, the man at the pool was healed when he obeyed Jesus’ command to stand and walk. These moments reveal that faith is often expressed through obedience, even when the instruction seems simple. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to trust God’s word and respond in faith, knowing that sometimes your breakthrough comes not through what you see, but through how you obey. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: When Your Enemies Learn of Your Success - April 30, 2026
John 4:1–3 (ESV) - “Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John (although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples), he left Judea and departed again for Galilee.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches an important lesson about handling success with wisdom and humility. Even as Jesus experienced growing influence and success, He chose to withdraw rather than provoke unnecessary conflict, showing that success is not something to flaunt or use to create tension. Pastor Sumrall explains that there are times when stepping back is the wisest move, especially when there is a greater purpose at hand. Jesus understood His mission and timing, and He did not allow success to distract Him from God’s bigger plan. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to handle success with maturity, knowing when to move forward and when to step back, so that you can stay aligned with God’s purpose and timing for your life. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: The Cure for the Jealousy of Success - April 29, 2026
John 3:27 (ESV) - “John answered, ‘A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.’” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall addresses a struggle everyone faces at times, jealousy over another person’s success. Through the response of John the Baptist, he teaches that everything a person truly has comes from God, and there is no need to compare or compete with others. Pastor Sumrall explains that when we recognize God as the source of all blessings, jealousy is replaced with peace and even joy for others. Instead of questioning why someone else has more, we learn to trust that God has a specific plan and provision for each of us. As you watch this episode, be encouraged to let go of comparison, embrace contentment, and celebrate the blessings in others’ lives, knowing that God is faithful to provide exactly what He has planned for you. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: The Life of a Child of a Number Two - April 28, 2026
Judges 11:1–2 (ESV) - “Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior, but he was the son of a prostitute. Gilead was the father of Jephthah. And Gilead’s wife also bore him sons. And when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, ‘You shall not have an inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.’” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reminds us that the circumstances of our birth do not determine our destiny. Though Jephthah was rejected and driven away by his own family, God still had a plan for his life and raised him up to become a great leader in Israel. Pastor Sumrall explains that while rejection and injustice can lead to bitterness and wrong choices, they do not have to define who we become. Jephthah’s life shows that even after painful beginnings, God can restore purpose and use a person greatly when they choose forgiveness over anger. As you listen to this episode, be encouraged to release the past, embrace God’s calling, and trust that He can lead you into a future far greater than where you started. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Putting Blood Before Right and Wrong - April 27, 2026
Judges 9:2 (ESV) - “Say in the ears of all the leaders of Shechem, ‘Which is better for you, that all seventy of the sons of Jerubbaal rule over you, or that one rule over you?’ Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches the danger of choosing loyalty to people over what is right. He explains how Abimelech gained leadership not because of righteousness or God’s will, but because of family ties, showing how relationships can be misused to justify wrong decisions. Pastor Sumrall emphasizes that while loyalty to family and friends is a strength, it can become a weakness when it leads us to compromise truth. Believers must learn to put what is right before personal relationships, choosing God’s standards over emotional or cultural pressure. He also highlights the parable of the trees, showing that truly fruitful people do not push themselves into leadership, while self-promoting individuals often seek power with wrong motives, leading to control and destruction. This Daily Devotion reminds us to value integrity over loyalty when necessary, and to recognize that true leadership is marked by humility, fruitfulness, and a heart aligned with what is right. ----- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Fear Runs in the Family - April 26, 2026
Judges 6:12 (ESV) - “And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, ‘The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor.’” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches how God calls us according to what we will become, not what we currently feel. Gideon was afraid and hiding, yet God called him a mighty hero, showing that God speaks faith over our lives even when fear is still present. Pastor Sumrall explains that fear does not instantly disappear when God gives a promise. Gideon still struggled with fear even after being called, but God patiently helped him overcome it by giving encouragement and reassurance. This shows that God understands our fears and provides ways to strengthen our faith. This Daily Devotion reminds us that it is normal to face fear, but we must not stay in it. As we follow God’s instructions and receive His encouragement, fear is replaced with courage, and we grow into the person God has already called us to be. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Go Fix It - April 25, 2026
Judges 6:13–16 (ESV) - “And Gideon said to him, ‘Please, sir, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all his wonderful deeds that our fathers recounted to us…?’ And the LORD turned to him and said, ‘Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?’ And Gideon said to him, ‘Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest… and I am the least in my father’s house.’ And the LORD said to him, ‘But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.’” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reminds us that before asking God for miracles, we must first respond in obedience with what we already have. Gideon questioned God, asking where the miracles were, but God answered by calling him to act—“Go in the strength you have.” Pastor Sumrall teaches that God often waits for us to do our part before He does the supernatural. We handle what is in our ability, and God steps in to do what only He can do. Even when we feel weak, unqualified, or incapable, God’s answer remains the same: “I will be with you.” This Daily Devotion encourages believers to stop waiting and start obeying, trusting that God’s presence is the true source of strength and that He will accomplish the impossible through those who step out in faith. Daily Devotions: What Leads to Prosperity - April 24, 2026
Proverbs 21:5 (ESV) - “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches a balanced and biblical view of prosperity. He explains that true prosperity is not built on shortcuts or quick gains, but on a life that combines diligence, discipline, and faithfulness to God. While giving, generosity, and honoring God are essential, they must be matched with practical wisdom in how we live and work. Pastor Sumrall emphasizes that hasty shortcuts lead to lack, while careful planning and hard work lead to abundance. He challenges believers to reject the mindset of ease and instead embrace diligence, thinking through decisions, seeking wise counsel, and committing to consistent effort. This Daily Devotion reminds us that God’s principles for prosperity require both spiritual faithfulness and practical responsibility, and when diligence and hard work are combined, they lead to a life of true and lasting abundance. --------- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Every Generation Must Face Battles - April 23, 2026
1 Timothy 6:12 (ESV) - “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches that every generation must learn to fight its own battles. While opportunities can be given and doors can be opened, success ultimately depends on a person’s walk with God, character, and willingness to stand firm in faith. Pastor Sumrall explains that God intentionally allows challenges so that each generation can grow stronger, develop spiritual discipline, and learn perseverance. Just as Scripture shows that battles were left for Israel to gain experience, believers today must embrace the fight of faith rather than expect everything to be handed to them. This Daily Devotion encourages young leaders and believers to step up, take responsibility, and engage in the battles before them, knowing that these experiences build strength, faith, and readiness for greater purpose in God’s plan. ------- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: Overthinking the Plans of God - April 22, 2026
Proverbs 20:24 (ESV) - “A man’s steps are from the LORD; how then can man understand his way?” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall encourages believers to trust God’s direction instead of overthinking every situation. He explains that if we truly believe God orders our steps, then we do not need to understand every detail along the way. Faith means trusting His guidance even when the reasons are unclear. Pastor Sumrall illustrates from Luke 23:26 this through the story of Simon of Cyrene, who was unexpectedly made to carry Jesus’ cross. What may have seemed like an inconvenience or burden became a divine privilege, being part of a significant moment in God’s plan. Often, what we do not understand in the moment is later revealed as something meaningful and purposeful. This Daily Devotion reminds us that instead of asking “why” in every situation, we can rest in the truth that God directs our steps, trusting Him to lead us toward His greater purpose. _______ Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: No Point in Talking - April 21, 2026
Luke 22:67–69 (ESV) - “‘If you are the Christ, tell us.’ But he said to them, ‘If I tell you, you will not believe, and if I ask you, you will not answer. But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.’” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches how to respond wisely in moments of conflict. He explains that not every situation requires dialogue, especially when people have already closed their minds. Jesus recognized that some were unwilling to believe truth or engage honestly, and in those moments, silence can be the wisest response. Pastor Sumrall highlights two clear signs of a closed heart: when people refuse to believe what is said and when they are unwilling to answer honest questions. In such cases, meaningful conversation is not possible, and continuing to argue only wastes time and energy. This Daily Devotion reminds us that while we seek peace, we must also walk in discernment. Even in the face of conflict and resistance, God’s plan will always prevail, and nothing can stop His purposes for our lives. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. Daily Devotions: A Gift to Pray For - April 20, 2026
Proverbs 20:12 (ESV) - “The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the LORD has made them both.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches about two often overlooked but powerful gifts from God, ears to hear and eyes to see. While many pray for provision, healing, and blessing, he emphasizes that spiritual awareness and sensitivity are among the greatest gifts a believer can receive. Pastor Sumrall explains that having eyes to see allows us to recognize needs, discern situations, and respond with compassion, while ears to hear help us understand what is often left unsaid. These gifts are especially important for parents, leaders, and anyone caring for others, as they enable deeper connection and wiser guidance. We must intentionally pray for spiritual perception, asking God daily for eyes to see and ears to hear so they can better serve, lead, and love the people around them. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated.
