Regret is inevitable. How I use it to shape my mindset.
Regret is something we all end up crossing roads with. It comes up differently in every individual. I always had the belief that I should never regret anything because it made me into the person I am and brought me a teaching or lesson I can use in life. For this episode, i actually flip the script on myself. I actually explored feelings of regret intentionally. By going down that journey and allowing it to happen I was able to pinpoint what i really felt to my core and put the pieces together for what it means for my self today and my mission going forward. The intention of the episode was to explore different ways of seeing outcomes to decisions or outcomes we look back on and ask if we could of done better or chosen better. I always try to remember life is not meant to be optimized in every form nor is it even achievable. At some point, it comes down to outlook and what we are able to accept. Awareness and intention to what we are choosing for ourselves in big decisions or the everyday habits is a good way to go avoid that feeling of not being able to live with decisions we made. Have something to add? Leave a comment. There are so many ways to interpret the message and id love to read yours! ✌🏼-Nick

The benefit of creating an alter ego.
This episode is my personal journal of integrating another self to my character as a way to by pass identity blocks. I share examples of certain performers, athletes and creators that used this frame work. Do not feel that it is reserved for the performers of the world, it can be very beneficial in everyday use and help with the overall journey of the character you are looking to become. This should not have to be stated to those who watch this but I will say it regardless. This episode was made in its purest and genuine form and should be used for progressive growth that leads to ones highest self. If you decide to adopt anything in this episode be mindful and intentional with it. Sending you love. -Nick

In the process of mastering this ancient saying: Nothing in excess.
Pondering on a parable from a trip to Apollo's temple in Greece. I share my perspective on how I view the saying and how applying it is more about adaptability than it is about moral correctness. Once conceptualized, this is a powerful tool for our everyday environment and a great tool for self regulation. Something that each person must master individually and to their specific situation. Ties perfectly with "know thyself". Leave a comment and tell me how you perceive the message. -Nick

This is your sign to solo travel.
Discussing how solo travelling opened a portal within myself that created a different type of confidence, self worth, autonomy and boundaries that I had going forward.. I escaped the prison I created and started allowing myself without the externals approval. Self mastery can only be achieved by experiencing times of solitude. Diamonds are made under pressure and treasures are always hidden and found by those who seek. -Nick

What people regret most when they die.
What people regretted most before they died;1: Wishing they had the courage to live their own life. -Not the one others expected them to. People betrayed themself for approval or worrying about what others thought.2: Postponing joy for too long.-They admitted they always waited for the right time, the right bank balance or the right body. In the end, those moments never came. Joy or fulfilment isn't a reward, it's a decision you have to permit yourself to make.3: Choosing safety over purpose.-In a major survey, education and career choices ranked among the top lifelong regrets. Especially when people ignore their deep interests. They followed the rules, the money and what felt safe instead of what lit them up.4: Working to much and missed everything. - This regret was found in those who tied their identity to career. Most of them regretted allowing their work to expand until it consumed everything from time, presence to relationships. 5: Letting the "what if's" haunt them.- Studies showed that regrets of inaction stuck longer and cut deeper than the things we did or failed at.The main reason is; inaction has no closure. It's an endless loop of what could of been.6: I wasn't there enough for my family.-In end of life studies, family connections ranked as one of the most cherished and most neglected parts of life. People recalled the distance , emotional absence, the distracted dinners and missed milestones. ** Even when they were physically present, they recalled they often weren't really there.7: Letting friendships fade.-Many people confessed they didn't understand how much a friendship really meant until it was gone. When it comes down to it we value connection not success or status.8: I left a lot un-said. - Near the end people often long to go back to simply say what they left un-said. (This was true for the living as well). This episode might have been daunting for some of you. It's uncomfortable to think about that moment of death happening. Let it be an opportunity to make the best out of the gift of our existence rather than the daunting thought of death. I personally took note of a couple of these and will be applying them to my experience. I'll start by saying what my heart truly wants to express; I appreciate you listening/watching. If you found this podcast it's because there's something for you and im glad I can deliver whatever that is. May it be pleasant, uncomfortable or just triggers the hell out of you. Its done with the out most love. I promise. Thanks for being here.-Nick

What I observed from a blue zone in Japan to live a life of quality.
In this episode I share a experience with my time in Okinawa, Japan. To summarize the podcast episode it came down to three essential habits;- Movement: Okinawa's locals get a lot of steps daily. (I personally was doing an average of 20k steps daily.)- "Stress free lifestyle": Simply defined they embodied an attitude of calmness and intentionality. They weren't rushed in their movement or habits that induce cortisol in the body (over working, excessive phone usage, negative media, lack of sunlight.)-Single ingredient organic foods / eating until 80% full (not over eating) + sunlight, fresh air. Which leads to better sleep and compounds into an overall better experience. If you got value from the story, rate the podcast or leave a comment as it helps me understand how you're enjoying the episodes. Thank you for watching/listening!

Living an authentic life and the power of Yoga with Natacha Madwar.

The secret to life is.. play?
Do we take ourselves too seriously? This episode is an invitation to embody the spirit of play in our everyday tasks or activities. Embracing boredom is the missing antidote.
I have spent the last 36 months embracing boredom and it's changed the way I live substantially. Initially being bored was so depressing. I always had a fun thing ready to do; video games, phone, social events. Until I was faced with giving it all up. Like anything, it was so gruelling and I felt very apathetic with all the lost entertainment. Although without it, It would not have led me to my inner wisdom and knowing that I am grateful to have today. As I mentioned it's an ongoing process and I am still finding my harmony with it. None the less, it's a topic I felt important enough to speak on.Thank you for listening!-NickI love this video on embracing boredom and wanted to include it as it helped with inspiration and articulating my own experiences for this episode;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orQKfIXMiA8

Seeing is believing. The true power of visualization.
This episode is all about the power of visualization. I came VERY prepared in this audio to demonstrate how important visualization is when it comes to implementing it in our everyday life. Quick easy steps to visualize any outcome you want;Step 1: Visualize it. Visualize a clear action or situation.Step 2: Feel it.Feel the moment fully. What does it feel like?Step 3: Bring the obstacles and resistance into the visual. This isn't a dream, it's your new reality. What will stop you? Make sure to be aware of the obstacles and resistance.Step 4: Own it.Own what you are visualizing. Identify yourself with what you are visualizing for yourself. Step 5: GO DO IT!Make it happen.Studies:-Guillot, A., & Collet, C. (2008). How to set goals and actually achieve them.
This episode was made to help you set and achieve goals. Here are some tips and tricks that I speak about in the audio;-Choose your goal and write it down.-Be clear with your goal-Set time limits (I.E; 30, 60, 90,365 days)-Share your goal with someone you trust.-Create a daily checklist of actions or habits that will get you closer to your goal.-Break down your goals into mini-goals - smaller steps make the goal less daunting.-Use the "If-then" strategy: Have a list of actions you can take that can replace a certain action you might not be able to do.-The WOOP technique;Wish: Define what you want.Outcome: Visualize the impact it will have on your lifeObstacle: Identify what might stop you.Plan: Prepare how to overcome it.Bonus: 90 day rule; Setting a goal for 90 days is long enough to create momentum but short enough to create urgency. Start with one-two goals and focus on those deeply. Go deep rather than wide! Track your progress and let me know how your journey goes!-Nick

We must experience the opposite.
It could be that this audio was confusing for you. If it was, let it be. Allow your experiences to show you what this episode is saying. Set an intention to understand this yourself through your own experiences. Wisdom like this must be found in lived experience. Embrace both sides of the spectrum. They are the same. -Nick

Complaining and negative self-talk are a disease. Here is the cure.
In this recording, we focus on the importance of gratitude and self talk when it comes to the way we take on situations. The study mentioned says complaining cause detrimental effects to our brains that . This episode is to create awareness around how we can re frame how we approach scenarios that are not favourable. I didnt mention what i do with people who complain in the audio. The answer is simple; avoid them like the plague! 🥶Comment something you are grateful for! 🥰Sources: - Stanford University research on complaining and stress responses. A study on how LLM's models are destroying our brains..
I share and react to a recent MIT study. (Note that the study has not been peer reviewed yet as of my writing). For now we can only use this as a basis of discussion or possibility rather than definite fact. The intention is to create awareness around this topic, rather than to label it as "bad", especially knowing that we don't have all the information available. To play devils advocate, there is one constant that is not debatable. The term "Use it or lose it". As an example, when we stop all resistance training, our body diminishes our muscle mass. When we stop doing something may it be an action or habit, we lose that muscle memory naturally. In turn, the same would apply for critical thinking and mental models. The corporate is not the technology but how we use it and how often. As I mentioned, I will definitely continue to use LLM's but only after I do what I could myself. I will try to work things out myself first, before seeking out help immediately. There is absolutely no harm in asking for help even from a LLM model but it does build more resilience, creativity and critical thinking ability when we try things independently first.*This is my current opinion as my time of writing. Whenever new information comes out, my knowledge usually expands and opinions change.*

Taking a step back can help to come back better.
I have definitely been in those moments where I no longer have the will to do a task or continue something I have been actively engaging in. This varies from workouts, to writing, painting, content creation, communicating something to someone, the list goes on.. Iv noticed in my experience that taking a step back from something often offers a chance to come back better. I do not have the science or hack around why, I just noticed that it's been a constant in different aspects of my experience.Have you ever experienced something like this? Tell me your experience and how disengaging helped the journey.

The journey to my moment of clarity.
Have you ever watched the movie Limitless? In the movie the protagonist Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper's character) finds a pill that makes him "limitless". It completely changes who he is as a person and his life for the better. He overcomes laziness, completes a book he has been trying to finish and attracts all the other traits you would associate with someone who has no limits. (wealth, confidence, charisma, social life, etc)There's a specific scene where he realizes what he needs to do going forward. This is what a moment of clarity looks like to a tee. It's the undeniable realization and clarity to a specific path or journey you decide to undertake.I share my moment of clarity that led me to transform my physical self and ended up creating a domino effect that has led me to start doing content, expand my knowledge on topics I love learning about and eradicate limited beliefs I previously had of myself. It's important to note that I am still "figuring it out" and I don'thave all the answers, nor do I even want them. I enjoy this process (as confusing at is). Life would be boring and predictable if it were any other way. Enjoy!

How can we be grateful for what we are not aware of?
Coming in with a perspective shift. The intention behind this episode was to create awareness around our current environment in regard to media. We live in challenging times, I decided to offer some guidance around something that is not often spoken about. As usual, im rooting for you. Thank you for listening!

The essential role mentors have played in my life.
For this episode, I decided to share a story like wisdom tale. I run through my personal experience with my real estate mentor, why having a mentor/life teacher is so valuable, where you can find one and what to look for when that person comes along. As I mentioned in the episode, when you become aware that there is a lot to learn and discover, your teachers will find you. May it be the way of the universe or the algorithms of social media. They will come! ;)

Win through your actions, never through an argument.
Why do we always think arguing is easier than simply showing others what we're trying to articulate or a certain point of view that is different than the others?I try something different in this audio and keep it simple and light hearted. I explain why actions speak louder than words and why they are way more effective, some personal wisdom from my life and a tale about a Donkey and blue grass. (Just listen to the audio.)Your feedback is appreciated and condoned on all episodes. Enjoy!

Creating what is "not", to get to what "is".
Life often offers us moments or experiences that can be painful, gruelling, long as well as beautiful, bliss and exciting. How would we know the difference if we didn't first comprehend what it took to get there? I offer a short mindset shift I recently had around my personal journey and my frustration and lack of patience to "get to" my goldilocks zone. Im still in a work in progress, I know I'll get there!

What creates joy in life?
I discuss a study done by Harvard in 1938 where they follow 724 men and later their children to discover what creates joy in life. This is one of the most comprehensive studies ever done. I also truly believe that even though the study was done on men, women also benefit from the same result. This isn't about gender it's about being human.Setting an intention for more meaningful, deep connection for everyone who listens to this. Sending you love.

Turning self doubt into opportunity.
I discuss self doubt and creating a new way of seeing a "negative" connotation and turning into something that can be an opportunity to create a better way of being for the listener. Our brains are constantly labeling things as "good" or 'bad". I like to remove those labels and see the opportunity that is beyond the surface. In my experience; my fears, doubts and triggers have always helped me grow or give me the answers to experience a better life both internally and externally.

My personal guide on taking meaningful action.
I decided to share some insights on my process around taking meaningful actions to get to a specific outcome(s) in my life. Some quick points;-Positive self talk/mindset-Clear and specific outcome or goal- Continued adaptation and curious mindset -Having a strong "why"-Starting slow/small and building on momentumThis episode was designed to create clarity and give out my personal process around how I overcome and decide where my direction is. I'll be the first to admit the process takes long, I get tired, confused, doubt myself and take step backs. Although, everything changed when I removed the things that were distracting me and it forged a path of clarity without the constant distractions or meaningless actions that keep me from moving in the best direction possible for my overall wellness. We are constantly shown shiny objects and advertising has us chasing things that dont create any real value. Hopefully this episode helps you take back your power and guides you to clarity on where your direction should really be. (Whatever that may be.)

The journey that led to my authentic direction.
Explaining the habits and actions I forged to receive clarity on what exactly I should be doing when It comes to career, relationships, experiences and my way of being. I really hope this episode brought value to you as the listener. These are my own experiences and have worked for me. I always underline the importance of finding your own authentic actions or habits. Use what you need and detach from the rest. I myself am still a student and on my own journey, I have a lot to learn and I'm just sharing what has brought me to this point.

If you feel "lost" in life, this is for you.
I explore a saying I hear and read too often. This episode has two parts. The first part is my thoughts on why I believe we feel this way and how we can overcome or view this setback with ourself and the second part is a mindset shift around this feeling and how we can train ourselves to embrace it and see it as an opportunity rather than a setback. Let me know what you think and if you ever felt this way before.

Asking myself what stops me from living my dream life.
Going to keep this description raw to keep it in line with the audio. So far it feels like iv done everything "right" but there's still something I'm not seeing. Luckily I found my answer in this episode. I forgot about what makes a moment or life great; community, a way of being that is authentic / light heartedness and making a positive difference. (Even if it's a small one).

Invert... ALWAYS INVERT!
I share an exercise I have been using to better understand what NOT to do when Im looking to accomplish certain objective and then invert those answers to find what I MUST do for a desired result. I completely winged this episode so I apologize for my pauses and lack of clarity in certain thoughts. None the less the exercise has been a complete glitch for me to understand what to stay away from when I'm striving to be the best version of myself in a given domain. Let me know if you ever have done something like this and if it has benefited your process.

"I can lead you to the water, its your choice if you decide to drink it"
Sharing a quote that my mentor told me when I first started my business as a 21 year old. It's something that I always took to heart. I explore what it means to me and how I see this podcast and what my true intentions are when it comes to what I decide to put out into the world.

Trusting myself over external validation.
The title speaks for itself. I share a situation where I finally trusted myself and my own journey over what the external was showing me. This is something i struggled with in the past and i finally felt like I overcame that recently. Listen to the episode and create your own meaning to the message i am conveying. How you understand it, is how you’re supposed to interpret it in this moment. P.S. You’re doing great, keep going!

Seek to understand, then to be understood
It’s not a simple task to get people to understand us. We all been in situations where we gave up on trying to be understood and started resenting others as a consequence or arguing away on deaf ears. The first step i took was to starting to understand myself and what i needed so i can start being interdependent in situations and relationships. I came to the realization that if being affected by being misunderstood was so frustrating, it’s because i didn’t understand myself to begin with. How did i expect myself to understand others if i didn’t even understand myself? Its not an easy task because if we understood ourselves so easily that would mean we’re simple and easy to figure out. Each of us is so complex and unique that only we can find our own truth. The most important takeaway is; understand ourselves first, that’s something that can only be done on your own or through guidance of a professional or emotionally intelligent individual. Now for the episode, I offer a little taste of the mindset shift i made to get more out of my relationships and how i handle situations better by implementing this approach. I do want to mention that i am still working on this and tend to disregard others in situations where i should be more mindful, although i am aware and constantly adjusting if i should put my energy in a individual, interaction, situation or not. It’s tough to master. Im not meant to understand everyone and personally, im not here to people please. I implement this mostly for relationships who hold value to me and thats what i try give back as a thank you for their presence. Ill practice expanding that when i see fit. As usual, there is no directed advice. Just a story and a principle i live by. If you wish, take what you need or disregard it. Everyone is on their own individual journey. I embrace that!

This is my life's current challenge..
I was called to share a challenge im currently dealing with. It seems like things are moving so slow and nothing has changed in the last couple of years. To just flat out say it; my mind is somewhere else in the future rather than in the present moment. Im very aware that iv already accomplished so much and so much better off currently than any point in my life. Yet my mind is always setting a new bar or hoping results arrive sooner. The challenge i face is; this avoids meaning and enjoyment of the process. I share a story and some ways im creating a mindset shift to cultivate more meaning and fulfilment in the process versus the result or thinking my life will be better once i complete the goal. This is a change i believe is invaluable in life. Once i shift my focus from the result or chasing the bars i set for myself to focusing on the experience and the details, i will get more out of the journey. It will inevitably lead to smaller blessings and intricacies i would of missed if i was focused on solely the result, achievement or destination.

The importance of making tough decisions.
Tough decisions are inevitable in life. Do they always have to be so hard though? YES. YES, THEY DO. Theres no “hack” or “easy way” in this episode. They’re hard because if they were easy then they wouldn’t be called hard would they? The moral of this episode is to embrace discomfort, stick to your decisions + keep going , trusting your gut and use two specific versions of yourself as your counsellors when you don’t know what to do. You’ll have to decide to listen to this episode if you want the wisdom around decision making. Hopefully it’s not a hard decision for you! (See what i did there). Hope you enjoy and get value from this episode.

It’s time to remember who you really are.
Sharing how going back to childhood brought back lost parts of myself and led me to answers on how i can live a life that’s truer to myself by embodying certain characteristics of my child self. Life is tough. We are constantly told who we need to be. What we need to do to fit in. We end up doing so to protect ourselves or just simply survive and fulfill obligations the external world put onto us. It doesn’t have to be that way. Not anymore anyway. You have an opportunity to go back and bring back a part of your child self that you shunned away. Your inner child will appreciate it. Who knows, life might start to seem bright again. 😉

“Being a fake.”
In this episode I share a story that allowed me to discover a deeper sense of authenticity through a surface situation and what it means to live a life that is “authentic”, “true” or “real” to oneself. Authentic: of undisputed origin; genuine. Fake: a thing that is not genuine; a forgery or sham.
