Two Tabs Open
by Two Tabs Open
Welcome to Two Tabs Open — the podcast where two sisters talk about the things you’re thinking but not always saying. We cover life in your 20s and 30s — comparison, internet culture, awkward thoughts — all the tabs open in your brain at once. Most weeks it’s just us. Once a month, we open the tab to someone else — real people with real stories, or experts who can actually help us make sense of things. The kind of people you’d end up talking to for hours in the smoking area. Whether you’re walking, driving, or pretending to work — we’re glad you’re here. Let’s open the tabs.

Our Mum Has Been Right This Whole Time and We're Devastated
This week it's just the two of us, and honestly we went everywhere. It started, with toilet chat and somehow ended up at the meaning of life. In between we talk about all the advice our mum gave us growing up that we completely ignored — and now swear by. From dying your hair too early, to not buying what you can't afford, to spreading yourself too thin and actually slowing down — turns out our mum knew what she was talking about all along - who knew? We also get into bad moods and how to get out of them, type A chaos, walking too fast, being chronically early, and why the northern line needs to be closed permanently. Tabs open and closed, roasted new potatoes, and hay fever. It's a whole thing.

Coming Out, Finding Your People and Doing Life on Your Own Terms ft. Ollie Calvey
This week we're joined by the lovely Ollie Calvey for a conversation about sexuality, identity, and the journey of figuring out who you are — and then actually owning it. Ollie speaks candidly about his sexuality, knowing from a young age, he talks us through the journey to then coming out in his early twenties, and everything that happened in between. We get into finding your community, building connections with people who just get you, and the wider pressures facing young people today — including masculinity and what it means to grow up and work out who you are. One we're really glad we had.

Men's Mental Health, Neurodivergence and Rewriting Your Story: Shingie Mupfigo
This week we're joined by Shingie Mupfigo — fellow podcaster and host of Shingie Chats Life — for one of those conversations that covers everything and somehow still doesn't feel long enough. We get into men's mental health, ADHD, changing careers, and the stigmas around class and race that he is on a mission to change in the work place. Shingie also shares the story of going into the corporate world at just 17, why he walked away from a career he was genuinely brilliant at, and what he's building now to help young people find their footing. Honest, funny, and genuinely one to share.

What Your Sleep Score Isn't Telling You: Stop Optimising, Start Feeling
We went to cheer on our sister Georgie at the Brighton Marathon, which got us only to chatting about why optimising every single thing — your workouts, your sleep, your cycle — might be making you feel worse, not better. And why sometimes the best data point is just... how you actually feel. Tabs open, tabs closed, and a deodorant situation that should have been resolved weeks ago. Also Liss found a peach chocolate hack and we're not taking questions.

Stress, Diet Culture, ADHD & Body Image: Dr Alex Best Bits!
Missed the full episode? Here are the bits we genuinely couldn't stop talking about. Dr Alex Law, clinical psychologist, on ADHD and body image, the willpower myth, GLP-1 drugs, and why the diet industry needs you to feel bad. If you loved this, make sure you listen to the full episode.

Appetite for Answers: Food, ADHD & Diet Culture with Dr Alex Law
This week we're joined by Dr Alex Law — clinical psychologist and specialist in helping people understand their relationship with food, their bodies, and their wellbeing. And honestly? This one went places we didn't expect. We get into why quite often your relationship with food has nothing to do with willpower or discipline, the surprisingly deep links between ADHD and body image (Jaz shares her own experience with her diagnosis), and why the over-diagnosis narrative does real harm to people who've spent their whole lives wondering why everything feels harder for them. We also get into the stuff that made us genuinely a bit angry — diet culture, the return of ultra-thin beauty standards, the rise of GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, and who's really profiting from us feeling bad about our bodies. Dr Alex doesn't just talk about this stuff professionally — she lives in it too. No pretending she's above it, no perfection mentality. Just an honest, informed, and refreshingly real conversation. If you've ever blamed yourself for your relationship with food, felt your body confidence tank overnight, or side-eyed the current Hollywood red carpet — this one's for you. Want to work with Dr Alex? She offers individual therapy for anxiety, low mood, and general mental health, and specialises in relationship with food, body image, and neuro-diversity. She also delivers practical, engaging workshops for organisations. Explore Alex’s work: thenurtureclinic.co.uk

Embarrassing For No Reason: Situations That Make Us Want To Disappear
This week we’re discussing all the things that really shouldn’t be embarrassing… but somehow are. From the walk back after bowling, to the awkward little jog after paying for petrol, to any public moment where you suddenly become hyper-aware that you have a body — we’re unpacking the oddly specific situations that make us want to disappear. Completely irrational? Yes. Universally relatable? Also yes.

Would You Poo Handcuffed To A Stranger?
This week we cover a truly normal mix of topics: ghost trains, kebab loyalty, estate agent overload, roast dinners, and the new show that has Liss hooked. We’re also talking about friendship, feeling understood, breakups, being your full self around the right people, and answering a dilemma on whether to travel the world or lock into a job at 25. Basically: part life chat, part cultural analysis, part nonsense.

Grief, Loss & Speaking The Unthinkable: Daisy’s Story
Content warning: This episode contains discussion of suicide and grief, which some listeners may find distressing. This week we are joined by Daisy Mayhew, who shares the story of losing her her younger brother Ned, who died by suicide at the age of 16 whilst at school. In this deeply personal and sensitive conversation, Daisy speaks with remarkable honesty about her experience of grief, the shock of loss, the impact on her family, and how she has navigated the years since. She also reflects on mental health, the search for clarity after tragedy, and the realities of learning to live with something unimaginable. Daisy speaks incredibly openly and courageously throughout this episode, and we are very grateful to her for trusting us with her story. If you choose to listen, please do so with care.

Chocolate Rankings, A Pancake Day Confession & Current Obsessions.
This week we’re covering a lot of ground. We rank our all-time favourite chocolates (Magic Stars obviously feature), debate elite vs overrated picks, and give a respectful nod to Cadbury for carrying our childhoods. There’s also: • a Pancake Day confession that needed airtime • our thoughts on The Devil Wears Prada (because some films are cultural events) • the launch of a brand new guest segment • and the things we’ve been loving lately Nostalgic. Opinionated. Silly. Just the way we like it.

Roses Are Red, We Have Notes - The Valentines Day Special
It’s Valentine’s Day… so naturally we’re dissecting it. Romantic gestures, red flags disguised as romance, situationships, love languages, and whether anyone actually enjoys a set menu with a rose on the table. And because we’re nothing if not thorough, we end with a Valentine’s quiz that proves neither of us are qualified to host this episode.

20s vs 30s: Is It Age or Just Experience?
In this episode of Two Tabs Open, we’re putting our 20s and 30s head-to-head. From how we say no, to the way we approach exercise, money, friendships, nights out, and how we spend our time — we’re unpacking what’s actually changed… and what hasn’t. Is it just getting older, or is it the people, priorities and pressures around us that shift everything? Why does rest suddenly feel productive? And when did comfort become a goal? A mix of funny observations, honest reflections, and those moments where you realise everyone is quietly going through the same thing — just at different stages. Whether you’re deep in your 20s, settling into your 30s, or somewhere in between, this one will probably feel a little too relatable.

We’re Confused and We’d Like to Talk About It
There are certain things in life that feel like they should have been explained at some point — but never were. In this episode, we talk through the small, silly, and (we hope) universal things that leave us confused, mildly irritated, and wondering who signed us up for this. Expect tangents, laughs, and zero answers.

Jealousy: The Feeling We Pretend Not to Have
In this episode of Two Tabs Open, we unpack jealousy — where it actually comes from, why comparison fuels it, and why most of us feel ashamed for even admitting it exists. Is jealousy always a bad thing, or can it sometimes tell us something useful about what we want, need, or feel insecure about? We talk honestly about scrolling, success, friendships, relationships, and learning to sit with uncomfortable emotions instead of pushing them away.

New Year, New Me... Again
January rolls around and suddenly it feels like everyone is expected to become a brand new person overnight. In this episode, we unpack our honest take on New Year’s resolutions — why they so often fail, the pressure we put on ourselves to “fix everything” in January, and how motivation, guilt and comparison creep in before the month is even over. We talk about all-or-nothing thinking, why missing one day can spiral into giving up entirely, and whether the idea of a “new me” is actually doing more harm than good. This isn’t a how-to episode or a list of goals to set — it’s a real conversation about expectations, consistency, and finding an approach to change that actually fits real life.

From Taylor Swift’s Eras and mob wife aesthetics to the “quiet girl,” “healing,” and “soft living” phases flooding TikTok, we explore why we’re all obsessed with giving every part of our lives a title. Is it self-expression, or just another way of curating our personalities for the internet? We also chat through some of the most memorable phases we’ve lived through — from fashion to opinions — and let’s just say, there’s a lot to unpack.

OnlyFans & Adult Content Creators: The Modern Sex Industry Debate
OnlyFans & Adult Content Creators: The Modern Sex Industry Debate In this episode, we’re talking all about the sex industry and how has it is evolving. After seeing creator Bonnie Blue spark debate around empowerment, agency, and online sex work, we wanted to dig into why this topic still divides people so much. From shifting attitudes toward OnlyFans to the way social media blurs the lines between empowerment, performance, and pressure — we explore how our generation is redefining what’s acceptable, and who gets to decide. We also ask: as the industry continues to grow online, should there be more regulation or clearer boundaries around content, consent, and protection?
