E27 Sammy

from Kratom Sobriety Hosted by Charlie and Jacob

Preview of an upcoming episode with journalist Edward Erickson, Jr. and his articles about the kratom industry. Decima interviews Sammy who quit kratom 5 years ago! Jacob takes a look at kratom and toxic metals. RESOURCE OF WEEK https://nextdistro.org/naloxone If you are using kratom and are at-risk of mixing it with stronger drugs known to cause respiratory depression, please have naloxone/narcan around for an accidental overdose so others can revive you, or so you can help friends or family members. Kratom does not appear to cause people to stop breathing in the same way classic opioids do. There is at least one case report of the use of naloxone to reverse the effects of kratom, but in general it appears it won't be helpful with a kratom alone overdose - but kratom mixed with polydrug intoxication - naloxone can save a life. You never know, a kratom product may be adulterated or someone you think is only taking kratom, may have been hiding their harder substance abuse. Love Your Life, with Randy Mermell Randy Mermel Randy talks on alcoholism, sobriety, God, and happiness. From Randy Mermell, truth seeker and founder of Principles In Application. Alive and Free Bob Gardner It's time to rip the cover off what really works to finally ditch stress, anxiety, anger, addiction, depression, past trauma, chronic pain, and all other kinds of human suffering. No, not just relief, recovery, comfort, healing, or sobriety. We're talking the F word here — freedom — Happiness and well-being on autopilot. My team and I will share straight from the trenches what we've learned from using a non-therapy, body-based approach to leave our own struggles behind while also coaching thousands of others to do the same. And since these are often such heavy topics, we're gonna get a bit irreverent and have a good time while we're at it. Because, despite what you may have been told, real freedom never involves a fight. Sober Powered: The Neuroscience of Being Sober Gillian Tietz, MS, CPRC Why do some people stay sober and others relapse back and forth? Getting sober isn’t about restriction, it’s about rewiring your brain to function without intensity, chaos, dopamine spikes, and avoidance. Hosted by Gill Tietz, a former biochemist turned sober coach, this show dives into the neuroscience of long-term sobriety — why some people relapse, why others stay free, and how to build the kind of brain that can handle life without alcohol. Each episode blends science, psychology, and real experience to help you strengthen the four pillars of neuro-resilience: 1. Neural Recovery – healing your brain’s reward and stress systems after alcohol. 2. Emotional Regulation – calming reactivity and learning to feel without escaping. 3. Cognitive Rewiring – changing the thought patterns that pull you backward. 4. Behavioral Integration – designing routine
