E7 Izzy

from Kratom Sobriety Hosted by Charlie

Izzy turned to white strains of kratom to help with her ADHD and to get off other substances. Admitting to having an addictive personality, she (@rejectclown) also found she also had to abstain from kratom as it wasn’t an herbal remedy that improved her life. Izzy says “Don't let anybody silence you or trick you into thinking that you are alone in this kratom struggle, that you're wrong, that you're what you're feeling is not valid. Your addiction is valid. How you choose to recover is valid.” Medicated Assisted Treatment & Kratom select research studies: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33226096/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35112990/ RESOURCE OF THE WEEK Interview on Recovery in the Middle Ages Podcast https://recoveryinthemiddleages.podbean.com/e/from-monkster-to-master-unraveling-the-kratom-knot-with-charlie-x/ Kratom special on Recovery in the Middle Ages Podcast (about 48 minutes in) https://recoveryinthemiddleages.podbean.com/e/rma-nights-the-kratom-withdrawal-nightmare-with-jeff-bianca-d/ KRATOM IN THE HEADLINES https://filtermag.org/quitting-kratom-addiction/ CONNECT WITH US htps://www.instagram.com/kratomsobriety/ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100091554107916 https://twitter.com/Kratomsobriety CONTACT THE SHOW Voice: 313-437-7720 Email: [email protected]

Love Your Life, with Randy Mermell Randy Mermel Randy talks on alcoholism, sobriety, God, and happiness. From Randy Mermell, truth seeker and founder of Principles In Application. Alive and Free Bob Gardner It's time to rip the cover off what really works to finally ditch stress, anxiety, anger, addiction, depression, past trauma, chronic pain, and all other kinds of human suffering. No, not just relief, recovery, comfort, healing, or sobriety. We're talking the F word here — freedom — Happiness and well-being on autopilot. My team and I will share straight from the trenches what we've learned from using a non-therapy, body-based approach to leave our own struggles behind while also coaching thousands of others to do the same. And since these are often such heavy topics, we're gonna get a bit irreverent and have a good time while we're at it. Because, despite what you may have been told, real freedom never involves a fight. Sober Powered: The Neuroscience of Being Sober Gillian Tietz, MS, CPRC Why do some people stay sober and others relapse back and forth? Getting sober isn’t about restriction, it’s about rewiring your brain to function without intensity, chaos, dopamine spikes, and avoidance. Hosted by Gill Tietz, a former biochemist turned sober coach, this show dives into the neuroscience of long-term sobriety — why some people relapse, why others stay free, and how to build the kind of brain that can handle life without alcohol. Each episode blends science, psychology, and real experience to help you strengthen the four pillars of neuro-resilience: 1. Neural Recovery – healing your brain’s reward and stress systems after alcohol. 2. Emotional Regulation – calming reactivity and learning to feel without escaping. 3. Cognitive Rewiring – changing the thought patterns that pull you backward. 4. Behavioral Integration – designing routine
