Giving up response

from spiritual principles made practical's podcast · host Scott Friedman

If you're like me, you probably have times when you just want to give up.   Like all thoughts, we have a choice to act on them or not once we accept their existence. I've worked through thoughts and feelings of giving up so many times, I'm quite aware it is a transitory problem.   One of the ways I've worked through it is to ask myself, what makes my life worth living.  When I answer that question I think about all the energy and inspiration and joyI experience as I lift myself and others up.  I don't want to miss out on more of that.  I think about my commitment to never give up on myself and all the good that has come to me in my life by not giving up, even when it's hard.  I remind myself every time I work through a difficulty, my life is better on the other side. Once I'm not feeling like giving up, I see that thought as no big deal.  I simply choose not to act on that thought.  This opens me up to notice thoughts that are uplifting that I can act on.  Those are the thoughts I choose to act on, leaving thoughts of giving up behind. I offer thought coaching where we work to be more aware of our thoughts and the power we have to choose which to act on.  This is true freedom.  The first coaching session is free to see if we're a fit.  You can make an appointment on my calendar, https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are avaialble on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com
