Work Life Balance

from spiritual principles made practical's podcast · host Scott Friedman

The first step in achieving work life balance is to recognize where you are right now.  If you're stressed trying to get everything done, it's only going to get worse if you don't make a change.  You know all kinds of time and energy get wasted when we make mistakes and the more stressed we are, the more mistakes we make. Every problem, including not having the work life balance you desire, is solved by being more honest with ourself, listening better to ourself.   Take time to listen to yourself.  Ask yourself the questions you want answers to.  In this case ask, "What changes can I make to improve my work life balance and thereby improve my life?"  When I meditate on what to do when, my productivity goes way up when I act as inspired.  Often, I hear in meditation that what I need to do is relax and "zone out".  Often, not always, when I'm relaxing, drifting in out of naps, uplifting ideas come to me.  These ldeals lift me and others up. For decades I've found that the more I work on myself the more value I have to offer others.  The most productive way of working on ourselves is to listen deeply to ourselves and act on uplifting thoughts.  Do that, and your life work balance will be optomized.
