Flow over force, a new era for female athletes - Angela R. Lewis #17
🎙️ In this episode, I had the honor of speaking with Angela R. Lewis – former professional basketball player, coach, author, and now Head of Operations at SpeakerHub. What she shared deeply resonated with me, especially her unique framework for female athlete development called the 6V Model: 1. Voice – Helping athletes express who they are. 2. Vision – Understanding where they’re going and why. 3. Values – Anchoring their actions in what matters most. 4. Valleys – Embracing the struggles that shaped them. 5. Victory – Redefining what winning means, beyond the scoreboard. 6. Volunteering – Giving back and connecting with a greater purpose. This conversation struck a powerful chord with my own journey as a somatics teacher and breathwork coach. We spoke about how many young female athletes lose touch with their body – and how that disconnection often leads to self-doubt, burnout, anxiety, and even loss of identity.Angela’s message reaffirmed a truth I’ve seen time and again:⚠️ When an athlete becomes emotionally numb or physically tense, they start performing from fear, not freedom. And that’s exactly why I do what I do:To help athletes (and those guiding them) reconnect with their body through conscious movement, breathing, and emotional awareness.Angela’s approach is not about pushing harder—it’s about understanding deeper. She brings a rare mix of toughness and tenderness that today’s sports culture desperately needs—especially for young women navigating expectations, pressure, and puberty all at once.If you’re a coach, athlete, parent, or someone who supports the next generation—this episode is a must-listen.You’ll walk away with insights on development, identity, and the power of leading from within. You can contact Angela through these pages: https://angelarlewis.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/angela-lewis/Enjoy in the episode and thank you very much for your likes, shares and comments.#TheGenuineAthlete #PodcastLaunch #AngelaRLewis #6VModel #FemaleAthletes #BreathworkCoach #AthleteDevelopment #BodyAwareness #MindBodyPerformance

Send Love Out as a Scout with Dr. Zdeslav Hrepic #16
In this deeply insightful and transformative episode, we sit down with Dr. Zdeslav Hrepic, a physicist, educator, and certified life coach, to explore the profound intersections of science, spirituality, and personal transformation. With a rich background in physics education and a lifelong passion for metaphysics, Dr. Z has dedicated his career to uncovering how the fundamental laws of nature mirror our personal and spiritual growth.Having spent over two decades in the United States, teaching at universities and diving deep into physics and life coaching, Dr. Z eventually followed his heart back to Croatia. There, he embraced a more holistic approach, blending physics, family constellations, and energy work to help people heal ancestral burdens, realign with their true selves, and live in harmony with the natural flow of life. What You’ll Discover in This Episode:🔹 The Connection Between Physics & Spirituality – How scientific principles, such as Newton’s Third Law (action & reaction), align with spiritual laws like karma and the law of cause and effect.🔹 Healing Generational Trauma – How unconscious ancestral burdens shape our lives, relationships, and physical health—and how family constellations can free us from these unseen forces.🔹 Balancing the Left & Right Brain for Optimal Living – The importance of integrating the masculine (analytical, goal-driven) and feminine (intuitive, holistic) energies to achieve flow and authenticity.🔹 The Power of Energy Shifts – How changing your internal state alters the probabilities of your external reality, much like quantum physics suggests.🔹 A Simple but Powerful Practice: “Sending Love Out as a Scout” – A transformative technique to shift energy before entering important spaces, conversations, or challenges. Why This Episode Matters:Many of us feel disconnected from our true selves, trapped by societal expectations, past traumas, or subconscious limitations. Dr. Z presents a unique blend of physics and metaphysics, offering tangible ways to navigate these struggles. He shares his own personal journey—from feeling misaligned in the U.S., to making the bold decision to return home, despite uncertainty—and how that leap led him to a life of greater authenticity and fulfillment.Who This Episode is For:✅ Seekers of personal transformation who want to bridge science and spirituality✅ Individuals struggling with subconscious blocks in relationships, health, or finances✅ Those curious about family constellations and healing ancestral trauma✅ Anyone looking for a practical method to elevate their daily energy and state of mindIf you’ve ever wondered how physics can illuminate your personal growth journey, or how to release inherited burdens to step into your full potential, this episode is a must-listen.🎧 Tune in now and learn how to align with the natural laws of the universe to create a life of freedom, authenticity, and deep fulfillment! You can find Dr. Z and buy his book on this page: https://for.hr/en/https://www.linkedin.com/in/zdeslav-hrepic-9a98792/https://www.instagram.com/naturemyteacher/https://www.facebook.com/zdeslav.hrepicTake a look at my page and social media: https://www.thegenuineathlete.com/Instagram: @jk_the.subconsciousness.coachTikTok: @thegenuineathleteEnjoy in the episode and thank you very much for your likes, shares and comments.

Nikad se nije pričalo o previše, uvijek o nedovoljno - Stjepan Ostruški #14 (on YouTube with eng subtitles)
You can watch the episode with english subtitles on YouTube: Being the Genuine Athlete channel. 🎧 Slušajte sada i počnite preoblikovati svoju stvarnost. #AEQ #EmotionalMaturity #HealingJourney #Consciousness #SelfAwareness #BreakTheCycle #GrowthMindset 02:10 Kako si Stjepane? I što to pitanje zapravo znači? 04:58 Razgovor o boli, traumi, situacijama, prošlosti, ratu, zlostavljanju. Drugačiji život i svijet ravnoteže u nama i izvan nas. Zadnja misao o Stjepanu. Uživaj! It was never about doing too much, always not enough - Stjepan Ostruški #14 🔍 “How are you?” A simple question, yet it carries layers of meaning. Most people respond automatically— “I’m fine.” But is that the truth, or just an illusion we hold onto? Many struggle with chronic pain, emotional blocks, and patterns they don’t understand. They push forward, ignoring the signals their body is sending. But pain isn’t the enemy—it’s a message. A call to slow down, reflect, and realign with reality. 💡 In this episode, we dive deep into: ✅ Why pain—physical, emotional, or mental—is often rooted in past experiences and relationships. ✅ How we subconsciously repeat the same emotional dynamics from childhood, recreating the same struggles. ✅ The illusion of “everything is fine” and how avoiding discomfort keeps us stuck. ✅ Why transformation isn’t about quick fixes—it requires emotional maturity, patience, and deep self-exploration. ✅ The power of AEQ learning to break subconscious cycles, understand yourself, and improve relationships. ✅ How masculine and feminine energy imbalances affect our bodies, careers, and personal lives. ✅ The reality of growth through discomfort—why facing pain is necessary for lasting change. 🔥 The hard truth? Many people want to heal, but they resist the process. They seek saviors instead of teachers. But real transformation comes when you take responsibility, understand your subconscious patterns, and step into a state of conscious awareness. 💭 What if your pain isn’t just physical? What if it’s an emotional response to a life out of balance? What if slowing down, instead of speeding up, is the key to moving forward? 🎧 Listen now and start reshaping your reality. It’s time to break free from illusions, embrace the discomfort of growth, and create the life you truly want. #AEQ #EmotionalMaturity #HealingJourney #Consciousness #SelfAwareness #BreakTheCycle #GrowthMindset 02:10 How are you Stjepan? And what does that question actually mean? 04:58 Talking about pain, trauma, situations, the past, war, abuse. We run away from problems into distractions. Head into the problem or avoid it, understand it, solve it in reality? 13:13 Stjepan's experiences before the AEQ method and now with himself? How did he search for himself outside of himself? 22:21 Why do we run away from ourselves so quickly? Or into better things? How much energy is needed for speed? 29:32 What happens when we get off track? Which hemisphere of the brain is working too much? 36:22 How can a person turn towards themselves, into cooperation within themselves, understand emotions and what is happening in the body? How can AEQ help us to achieve a better sense of the hemispheres of the brain and a new balance? 44:29 What kind of credit is created in relationships, in families? Karpman's triangle. How do you see yourself as you have changed? 51:01 How is your emotional maturity development? That it is more balanced and that it makes quality changes? 55:43 AEQ approach enables the development of life in the right direction. A different life and a world of balance within us and outside of us. Last thought of Stjepan. You cannot abuse your body endlessly. It can only take so much - Jani Brajkovič #12
Love. Optimism. Courage to confront yourself. Using the tools. To feel instead of just filling the void. Emotions. Energy. Change. Leaving the victimhood behind. Ability to relax. Efficiency. From racing to self awareness. Hope. This and much more was presented in this podcast episode with my guest Jani Brajkovič, former pro cyclist racer. Listen to his journey from struggle to self awareness, where he recounts a deeply introspective journey through his career and personal struggles, shedding light on the complexities of high-performance sports and human emotion. Viewing himself as a failure, even though he was a world champion in time trial. Obsessed with rigorous training, creating an eating disorder, ignoring his body's signals, leading to overwork, emotional numbness, and chronic issues. If you are an athlete, or a parent, you might be facing similar adversities and suffering. There is a solution and no need to fall so deep as Jani did. You do not need to over achieve to be worthy of love. Thus enabling yourself for a destructive cycle leading to physical and mental breakdowns, including panic attacks, insomnia, and chronic stress, isolating from others because of shame or guilt. Learn how Jani first saved himself with the AEQ method approach and now helps so many athletes to rediscover their passion and activate their potential. How to reduce muscle tension, reconnect with the body, and process emotions more effectively. He emphasizes the importance of balancing effort with recovery, respecting the body's limits, and understanding the deeper causes of chronic tension and inefficiency. We also touched on the tabu theme of being a victim. In sport arenas there is a cyclical nature of power dynamics that can abuse many. Just around the corner there is hope and tools that teach and inspire others. Jani sees potential for a big change in professional athletes. By addressing their parasympathetic systems and reconnecting with their bodies, they can achieve sustainable performance, enjoy the fruits of their labor, and live more balanced lives. True fulfillment and success require self-awareness, emotional connection, and respect for the body's limits. Overtraining and emotional suppression lead to long-term harm, even if they yield short-term gains. Recovery, relaxation, and authentic connection with oneself are essential for both performance and personal well-being. The culture of pushing through pain at all costs must evolve to prioritize efficiency, health, and sustainable growth. Jani's story is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative potential of self-awareness and holistic care. 01:47 Intro of Jani and his career 03:49 How are you now building on past success, but in the right way? 05:35 How were you understanding already during your career the natural laws of life? 13:51 Order vs disorder. Numbness, escaping from feeling, chronic muscle contraction? 25:34 What was your fuel to keep going so hard on a bicycle? 40:22 What was the main message of crashes in the race, injuries, accidents? 50:20 How can you wrap up the consequences of living in a Karpman drama triangle? 57:16 How does the AEQ breathing help to change from before to after? 01:06:39 What does it mean to be relaxed, to manage yourself, muscles, emotions, feelings, to be relaxed when you need to be? 01:12:53 Last thoughts of Jani You can find out more about Jani on these pages: https://www.janibrajkovic.com https://www.instagram.com/janibrajkovic https://www.facebook.com/jani.brajkovic Take a look at my page and social media: https://www.thegenuineathlete.com/aeq-method-america Instagram: @jk_the.subconsciousness.coach TikTok: @thegenuineathlete I thank you for your comments, likes and shares. What's wrong with you? Nothing! (aka living on the autopilot) - Kenny Kiefer #11
Kenny is an amazing musician with a difficult past. He went through shit and came out on the other side like a star. We touched on his digestive issues, chronic tension and stress, headaches, pain and how all of this turned into a nightmare of anxiety, panic attacks and just pure hell living. To top it off, Kenny was lost in addiction, escaping the reality and further on dysregulating his system. He found solutions. First through naturopathy and therapy on trauma and addictions. Then he found me and the AEQ method. This is our story: He found me through the Innovative Medicine podcast by Caspar Szulc where I was a guest. Kenny needed this body approach, after trying therapy on the mind side for some years. Slowly going into his whole body through interoception. Feeling and acknowledging sensations in his own body. Finally, down from the mind and into the body he says. He understood immediately that this is not a quick fix approach. So he committed and devoted himself to the AEQ exercises. Being a part of the men's group, Kenny connected the dots as father as well. The AEQ method helps him to express vulnerability, emotions and unconditional love to his 4 year old son. Something that many men fight and deal with, the lack of fatherly love. Explanations and feelings give him the ability to change his behaviour from being absent, aggressive, detached, dysregulated, into presence, high attention and focus. He also changed his lifestyle from ego driven chasing fame to a family guy. Now he creates music on his own terms and especially as a gift for people. Emitting emotional stability and growing together with his wife. Having more energy for creativity and life in general. Kenny is slowly getting the reins of life in his own hands. Thank you for being an exemplary client of the AEQ method and Jure. 03:03 Where did you find me? 04:00 What was attracting you to Jure? 04:31 How did you feel and get this first experience and connect the feelings in the body? 05:19 Why is this not marketing and how would you confirm that these results do happen? 07:24 What was your life like before from 1 to 10 with a panic attack, anxiety, being in the mind? 10:11 How did you start that journey of self healing, past, traumas, addictions? 16:06 How were your first experiences with the AEQ method and feeling your body in depth? The interoception. 19:52 How much less dysregulated and how much more in control are you now? 21:11 Emotional maturity. How are you managing emotions now? 29:43 How are you confronting reality and putting away the illusion? 32:01 How is this reflecting in your relationships in family? 38:39 How much are you now aware of your conscious and subconscious level? 41:50 Example on seeing the bigger picture in day to day life. 45:26 How can you see the change in your music creativity and in the order of life? 47:23 Living from an emotional stable place. 54:46 Your experience with the AEQ breathing. 56:56 How does a longer inhale influence on exhale, dividing energy in life? 01:00:00 Question for Jure. After AEQ exercises being emotional, worked up, and not feeling so well. Why is that so? Tijelo nakon poroda - Ivana Herceg Budić #10 (with eng subs on YT)
You can watch the episode with English subtitles on YouTube: https://youtu.be/PqsRctpu2rc Biti majka 4 djece i sve ih roditi kod kuće. I stvaranjem straha, brzom industrijom carskog reza, neslušanjem potreba trudnice, ograničavanjem i pritiskom obmanjujućih informacija. Nervozna mama stvara nervoznu bebu. 31:58 Crveno svjetlo zeleno svjetlo refleks. Uživaj -------------------------------------------------------------- Being a mother of 4 and giving birth to all of them at home. Ivana has the experience and on top of that also the necessary knowledge, wisdom and empathy in order to guide and help women after giving birth. To deal with the consequences of this miracle that life is. So that women can give their best to the newborn. So that the issues do not become chronic and that the recovery is efficient and healthy. I was amazed by Ivana's approach and how she handles difficult issues that are very complex. The level that she brings to the table and to women is beyond this world. Because somehow humanity has managed to butcher this natural and the most magnificent thing into artificial and detached from the body. Giving birth is the most extraordinary experience of every life. And by creating fear, the fast track industry of cesarean cut (C-section), not listening to the needs of a pregnant woman, limiting and putting pressure with delusional informatio. Elevating adrenaline and cortisol levels and maneuvering into awkward positions during labor is all producing devastating consequences for life. That is why it is my mission to bring this kind of information to the world. To shine a light on this amazing process and to stop catastrophic influences that are happening. Thanks to Ivana, we were able to present and explain the basic and the crucial aspects of what it means for women to be connected to their bodies. Before, during and after pregnancy. Especially the effect on the baby. A nervous mom creates a nervous baby. A well balanced, connected with the body and calm mom can create "miracles" and have a completely different experience. Without postpartum depression, chronic issues in the back, incontinence, breathing panic attacks. It can be life originated and serene. Everything is possible with hard work and dedication. But is it? Only if and when you feel your body in order to input the right amount of pain and get the gain. The subjects that we touched with Stefan were deep and felt to the core, as pain is. A man with a lot of experience as a pro athlete. After all, he is a multiple world medal winner in ski racing. So we dived deep into his quest for excellence on his journey towards success. How much of a price with his body he needed to pay? What were the triggers and situations where he began opening his eyes and the mind - body connection? Learning about his body and the nervous system saved him from going down with a bigger career ending injury. So he gradually reinvented himself and achieved results beyond. Knowing about your body's energy level - Niko Akrap #6
The most honest, sincere and vulnerable conversation I had in a long time. Niko has shown his greatness by talking about his struggles and wins in life. How he is dealing with situations, family, children, gym, clients, finances and his own shadows. The importance of being aware of your own body's energy level is crucial. By missing off in this assessment you are bound to lose the battle sooner than later. Niko explains the AEQ method approach that made him into a responsible man, husband, father. How learning to be authentic can save your life - Adrijana Mori #5
Breaking out of the people pleasing character is extremely difficult. Especially in a team sport such as female football (soccer). Well, Adrijana is making her steps to being true to herself. To release the pressure of her shoulders. Acknowledging and respecting herself. The style of playing and behaving in order to honor her body, heart and soul. Not just the mind. Not just complying with the team, the coach, the teammates, or others. She has gone through hell with injuries. Already experienced double time the ACL rupture in 5 years and in between a meniscus injury. Of course she is thinking "What the hell is wrong with me?", but also doing all the necessary steps in order to understand and recognise the hidden patterns. Those autopilot fears, doubts and thoughts that manifest such an unpleasant journey of an athlete. Adrijana is making it. Being more and more stable, content, optimistic and full of joy. Before going back after the last injury to her love of playing football, she has shared what it means to train herself to be authentic. Not anymore going all in and full on. Not killing herself every training. But minding her body and abilities. Working smarter, not harder. I might add, she is becoming wiser. Give yourself a chance to listen to Adrijana's path from suffering to enjoying and everything in between. How she's dealing with pressure now in comparison to the past. How she manages to shut off the negative mind chatter and focus on the essence of joyful playing. Oh yes, we also touched many of the tabu themes and intricate subjects that many avoid. Not us. We went head on. About the male approach of coaching in a female sport. The period cycle and its effects on the body. Individual adaptation of training and especially emotional support that every woman needs. And most importantly that there is life outside of sport. That you are more than just an athlete and not the value of your results. Allowing yourself the freedom to play with joy. Coping with pressure and stress the new way. How did she do all of it in her young career? Have a listen: 00:00 Who is Adrijana as a female footballer and a person? 02:28 How did she deal with the pressure of the matches before? 07:10 What happens after an injury? How does the male approach to training and playing create too much pressure? 11:56 What about the mentality no pain no gain? Where is the joy of playing? 15:05 How are coaches (not) dealing with emotional approach to women? 17:38 ACL injury, what needs to change in order to prevent injuries? 21:54 How hard is it to be injured? 23:09 Reasons why and how the female body is different from the male 27:54 How have you changed into the right way for yourself? 32:07 How much does interoception bring to you? 39:36 Trusting yourself and doing the right amount. 44:00 How to trust the messages of your body? Your own body. 51:50 Fear of injury, mental health issue. Fear of failure. 54:40 Advice. Be authentic and start to listen to your body. 57:03 How difficult is it for Adrijana to stand up for herself? 01:01:02 What is the consequence of not being a people pleaser? Self confidence 01:02:33 Last advice for everyone that is dealing with and hurting, having challenges. Michael Huber | "Hey kid, you are more than just an athlete!"
Dear athlete parents: If you need to listen to any podcast, DO LISTEN TO THIS ONE!!! Why? Because we covered several tabu themes in youth sport and explained what the hell is going on between the ears of athletes' parents. How the business industry has infiltrated and is abusing the love for sport in youths. STOP wondering what you are doing wrong; START LISTENING to your own conscious heart mind connection and listen to your kids more than you talk to them. Dear parents, You can do this. You know what is the right thing to do and to allow your kid to enjoy their childhood and still be a good athlete. But first, build a strong character mentally and to give yourself first and then to your youngster the tools to confront the adversities of losing and having emotional breakdowns. Parents need to practice what they preach, a must one. Otherwise your kid is going to pressure and outgrow you before you know it. And you young athlete, YOU are more than just an athlete. Your life does not depend on winning or losing, or on your athlete skills more than it does depend on your emotional, mental and well being skills and how you react to winning or losing. Focus on those and you will be more than successful in anything you dive into. Because results cannot be forced or controlled, as they are just a consequence of the WHOLESOME effort you put into. Control what you can control, yourself and your reactions. And ABOVE ALL: accept sport psychology into your life NOW! 1’ Intro and purpose of his service in life 3’ His story of addiction and coming out of it 9’ Control freak parents of athletes and issues that happen 17’ Dishonesty of parents, not being sincere, preaching to children and the lack of awareness 23’ What happens when Michael breaks through in family with sport psychology 27’ What age do kids need this guidance / mental training? 32’ Nothing is wrong with you if you are using sport psychology 36’ How good it feels to be doing it / to connect the dots / to get the clarity like a Peaceful Warrior Goosebumps feeling 41’ Toxic business in youth sport and in general 47’ Short term profit society vs a Wholesome person 51’ How do you see this wholesome transformation? 55’ What happens when you change the perspective and use the athletics as a platform for life 60’ Golden nuggets for parents and for youth athletes Visit Michael's page: https://michaelvhuber.com Thank you very much for listening, taking notes, implementing and enjoying. Antony Mac Neil | Doing business from Sports perspective
If every business person would be like Anthony Mac Neil, then we would have a more positive world. Using the sports terminology to achieve business results to impact, influence and develop a holistic athlete person. This is the main purpose of Anthony and his Franchise for youth sports. Implementing big ideas with the sole intention to serve the kids. That children play and flourish in a safe environment. Promoting movement in an affordable, respected, inclusive and consistent culture. Long term vision is to create, build and develop a better human being. Anthony experienced a lot of business success in his career, but this purposeful mission is what takes him to the next level. This is his mentality of going into the battle within, to make a tremendous difference on the outside world. Risk is staying in the predetermined path set from the society about going into pension. Lodro Rinzler | Just Be here with Reality
A Buddhist meditation practitioner for more than 20 years, Lodro Rinzler is giving us the truth. So simple yet so deep and powerful. Being with Reality is the main focus of Lodro. Just be with what is. Accept it, embrace it and confront it if necessary. Lodro has written bestseller books, The Buddha walks into a bar and the newest book Take back your mind. Being an athlete is by default being present while playing your sport. Coming back to the breath is the essence of it. Training the mind as you train your body is the core message. To work with the mind is to work with the heart. To finally break out of the conditioned mind which is only happy after it achieves or gets something, but the next instant falls into a big suffering of hunting the new thing. Bringing yourself as an athlete to have the intention for kindness, love and generosity. We always have a choice. So learn about being with the reality as it is. Feelings especially, no avoiding but straight up training your mind. And meditation does wonders. Try it out. You don't have to worry about doing it right. Focus on observing your breathing and understand one thing: YOU ARE INHERENTLY A GOOD BEING. You do not need to fix anything. BE WITH THAT. You are awake. Be with the intention of love and shine. Use the 3 step process: Why? Are you present doing it? How do you feel after? Conscious engagement in life as being an athlete you have a story to tell. Write it from the scar, not the wound. And you'll help a lot of people with your genuine juicy personality. 1' Intro of Lodro 4' What are the challenges of life? 10' Hero's journey and why is it so traumatic 15' Teaching dharma is the truth of things 18' What is meditation? 23' How is avoiding working out for you? 30' How to write a book and get your voice out there as an athlete? https://www.lodrorinzler.com https://www.instagram.com/lodrorinzler/ https://linktr.ee/lodrorinzler

I used to believe that… How Beliefs affect our life and how to shift them.
I used to believe that I have to win in order to be accepted, in order to fill in that lack of love. I used to believe that I need to worry a lot in order to be responsible. I used to believe that I need to just work hard and harder and the win will come for sure; quantity over quality. I used to believe that sharing my weakness makes me too much vulnerable. I used to believe that I need to be angry in order to show how much it means to me. All of these mindset beliefs have been driving me crazy. Have been holding me in my vicious circle. Until I started to identify them, delete them, upload new beliefs that are constructive and have a positive effect in my life. Do you notice any of your beliefs dragging you down and depleting your energy? Well then listen to the episode where I dive into the fundamentals of beliefs and how we trust on only 5% of our cognitive abilities. When we can actually tap into the 95% of the beliefs that are actually stopping us. This is confirmed by many doctors of science such as Dr Joe Dispenza and Dr Bruce Lipton. I talk about realizing the truth with real eyes to identify the real lies that we have been taught or we repeated to ourselves. And finally taking the LEAP OF FAITH in order to shift from the old non function-able beliefs and into new life of possibilities that open up. Check out my page to get a free Evaluation of your Athlete's Archetype: https://bit.ly/athletearchetype Inside out movie (how beliefs are made): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2096673/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Big Hero 6 movie(how beliefs affect our life): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2245084/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 1’ introduction about the episode 2’ what beliefs are.
