Between the Reps
by Alex Ramirez
I don't think the strongest version of you is built during the workout, it's built in the moments between the reps. In the choices no one sees. The conversations that change us. The days we don't feel like showing up but do anyway. Welcome to Between the Reps, where we'll talk about fitness, fat loss, mindset, relationships, business, and becoming someone you can count on. Grab a Diet Coke and let's chat.

You Don’t Get Extra Credit for Suffering
Somewhere along the way, we started treating enjoyment like the enemy of discipline.Like your workouts should suck, your food should be boring, and pursuing a goal is supposed to feel like one long sacrifice.I don’t buy it.In this episode, we’re talking about why enjoyment is one of the most underrated consistency strategies, the difference between doing hard things and making things unnecessarily hard, and why a plan you actually enjoy doesn’t make you less disciplined, it makes your discipline more sustainable.Because you don’t get extra credit for suffering. If there are ten roads that can get you where you want to go, you don’t have to deliberately choose the one you hate.

You Can Decide Something Isn't Working
I almost didn't record this episode.I convinced myself I had too much to do, too many hats to wear, and not enough time. Then something clicked. At any point, you can decide something isn't working anymore. That doesn't always mean quitting. Sometimes it means changing the way you do it. Sometimes it means changing your schedule, your systems, or your expectations. But before you change everything, there's one question you have to ask yourself:Is the system actually broken... or am I not honoring the boundaries I've set for myself? In this episode, I'm thinking out loud about self-audits, boundaries with ourselves, the trap of constantly optimizing instead of taking action, and why imperfect action will almost always beat the "perfect" plan. This one's a little messy, completely unplanned, and probably one of my favorite conversations yet.I'd love to hear what you think.

Consistency Isn't What You Think It Is
What if the reason you can't stay consistent... is because you've been defining consistency the wrong way? Most people think consistency means following the same routine every day. But life changes, schedules change, and perfect weeks don't exist. In this episode, we're talking about what consistency actually looks like in real life, why adapting is more important than repeating, and how a simple mindset shift can help you stop feeling like you're constantly starting over.If you've ever thought, "I just need to be more consistent," this conversation is for you.Grab a Diet Coke, and let's chat. ❤️🔥

Hard Truths I've Learned by 33
Today's my 33rd birthday, and somehow every birthday since turning 30 has felt like a completely different chapter of my life.I've learned some things the easy way, and a lot of things the hard way.So today I'm sharing some of the biggest hard truths I've learned along the way. The ones that changed how I show up in my relationships, my health, my career, and the way I treat myself. This episode is a little scattered, a little reflective, and probably the most "me" way I could've started this podcast.I'm really happy you're here. 🤍
