Chaz and AJ In The Morning

Chaz and AJ welcomed Magilla back to the studio, in town from Florida. They also asked the Tribe to call in with the best advice they've ever gotten from Dad. Some were heart-warming memories and tributes, others were vodka-soaked instructions that lasted less than 20 seconds. 

Allen Devlin, reporter with CBS NY, joined Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about the Knicks parade, tons of confetti, and cleanup after. Plus, Sgt. Paul called to talk about security for event like this, from bomb-sniffing dogs to "wood shampoo" of the old days. (0:00) In Dumb Ass News, "Love Island" was not a good enough excuse to get someone out of a speeding ticket. Plus, Ski on Long Island is a dedicated male viewer of the show, and explained the story lines to Chaz and AJ. (11:23) NBC NY's John Chandler was already on scene for the Knicks parade, over 2 hours prior to the start. The streets had already closed to hopeful attendees, and the subway system was overrun with Knicks jerseys. (21:17) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ to share the details of a big ticket promotion for the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport. 2 tickets for $50, all fees included, for 17 shows at the venue. Plus, his thoughts on early shows from the Rush tour, Jelly Roll's rumored divorce, and the most difficult concert riders he's had to navigate. (24:34)  Stef Manisero was clinging to minimal cell phone service, but called Chaz and AJ from the reporter riser for the Knicks parade of champions. (44:36)

Chaz and AJ had comedian Chuck Nice in studio this morning, as they talked about the viral "advice" that James Dolan passed on to the Knicks before their championship run. After hearing his suggestion to abstain from sex, they asked the Tribe to call with their longest "droughts." 

The World Cup is in full swing, and Chaz and AJ have a lot of questions to catch up. Rob called in as a casual fan, doing his best to explain the last few days of matches. Brandon Bussi, a hero with the Carolina Hurricanes, was once a teenaged student with Chris on Long Island. Mike and Mike were both in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about Spielberg's "Disclosure Day." Chaz was pretty confident he could suss out the movie plot from the trailer alone. 

Tribe members called Chaz and AJ to share their stories of naming, or nearly naming, their children after celebrities. (0:00) What are your Petty Pet Peeves? Chaz and AJ asked the Tribe to share, and it turns out everyone is bothered by old coffee cups that get left in public. (7:19) You're already doing it, so why not get paid for it? The Knicks won the NBA Championship, and Chaz and AJ had a big problem with the team montage. Plus, the NBA commissioner is probably an alien. (7:57) John Chandler from NBC NY was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about some of the strange numbers that have coincided with this unbelievable Knicks run through the NBA Finals. (15:43)  Sports Guy Jason Page was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to celebrate the Knicks winning the NBA Title, which was such a downer, the Tribe called in to yell at him for raining on the parade. Chaz and AJ were sent the same viral clip of Anthony Michael Hall being a big jerk in an airport, by multiple Tribe members. Everyone said this redeems AJ for his awkward interview moment, and there seems to be a rich history of Anthony Michael Hall being extremely rude. 

Chaz and AJ continued to relive the Knicks tip-in winner, this time hearing the call in multiple languages. Chaz and AJ asked Brady from NYC to get as close as he could to Madison Square Garden yesterday, and interview Knicks fans on their way to the game. Who spent the most on a ticket, and who was able to predict a big game from one of last night's stars?

What were you doing last night if you didn't see the Knicks? Chaz and AJ had the Tribe call in their alternatives for this morning's "On the Board." (0:00) NY1's Stef Manisero was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about her late night, watching the Knicks from inside Madison Square Garden complete the greatest comeback victory in NBA Finals history. Since Stef was in the building, she was able to get some crazy video of the whole building exploding as the OG tip-in shot went in. (16:20) Comedian Paul Virzi is a superfan of the New York Knicks. Paul was on the phone with Chaz and AJ, sharing about the incredible moment he had with his son last night watching the game. Jimmy has a history of booking big shows at MSG as well, and shared some of the magical things he's seen happen inside the building. In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ covered one of the most Florida stories of all time. A woman in her 60's called 9-1-1, after the bar she was in refused to give her jello shots. (0:00) Mike B. from the "Mike, Mike and Oscar Podcast" was on the phone with Chaz and AJ, to handle the top movies about aliens for "On the Board." (3:46) Guy Gripes! For 30 minutes every week, Chaz and AJ allow the men to call in and complain without any judgement or consequences. (18:18) A strange comment was made at a 50th birthday party over the weekend, and Chaz has not been able to understand it. He shared the comment, and asked the Tribe to call in their stories of the strangest things they've heard in conversation. (32:48) Chaz and AJ took a live caller at the very end of the show, and it turned out to be "Bite-sized Bono," who wanted to explain the comment that started a whole conversation earlier in the show. (45:49) 

Commander Keith's Top 5 this week was a 50th birthday celebration, of the top five things he's learned over the last 50 years. He has tips on avoiding fights, running errands, and not looking like a silk, chubby whale. 

Chaz and AJ had the Tribe calling in guesses for ways to get kicked out of a professional sports game, after a fan ran onto the court for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Andre in Cheshire called in to share a story about fighting with English football fans, and wound up being pulled over by the cops during the story. (0:00) Anthony called Chaz and AJ to share with Ruth his love of "Love Island," which he considers to be train-wreck TV. (9:18) Chaz and AJ talked about 1973, since that's the last time the Knicks were NBA Champions. Anyone else remember Coco Wheat? (12:42)  In Dumb Ass News, former Hartford Police Detective Brian Foley was on the phone to talk about the brothel uncovered in Suffolk County. A 67-year-old woman was arrested in connection to the prostitution charges, and the Tribe called in with stories of the sketchy homes that made the news from their neighborhood. Chaz and AJ welcomed Tribe member Alicia in studio this morning, freshly single again following a divorce and looking for love. Alicia took a few calls from interested men, and called out red flags in real time. (0:00) Everybody got some tickets today, thanks to Jimmy Koplik from Live Nation. Jimmy was on with Chaz and AJ to hand out tickets to the Black Crowes, and answer the Tribe's questions about Alanis Morissette, Iron Maiden, Radiohead and more. (15:28) In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ played a few rounds of "What did Ruth just say?" It recently came up that she speaks very quickly in her videos on social media, that it is sometimes hard to hear what she's saying. (39:54) 

Chaz and AJ spoke with "Spice," an escort from New York, who has already seen a massive increase in work requests with the incoming World Cup. Spice talked about the path that got her into the escort business, and entertained some hypothetical nighttime activities with the crew.

Chaz and AJ asked Rob from Manorville to handle the "On the Board" segment this morning, covering some notably bad endings. One year ago, Jared had a seizure while on a ship in the Navy, and lost the ability to move the left side of his body. Now, he's recovered and is competing as an adaptive athlete. Chaz and AJ asked comedian Emily Siero to handle this morning's "On the Board" segment, all about the basic ways you should prepare for a first date. The Tribe called in with guesses and stories about the most ridiculous first date experiences they've had. (0:00) Alicia was on the phone as a holdover caller from the "On the Board," with an insane story covering divorce, Google research, stolen furnaces, and an idea for a dating segment. (14:20) In Dumb Ass News, a body cavity search in Florida turned up not one, not two, but three illegal items. For 30 glorious minutes each week, Chaz and AJ let men call in with no interference or interruption from women. The callers can safely complain about the issue that's bothering them, without any women trying to correct them. Inevitably, every week, a woman calls in to ruin the fun.

With the Scripps National Spelling Bee happening, Chaz and AJ decided to put their own spin on the competition. Athena Gayle, sex copywriter, was on the phone to administer some smutty words for AJ, who had to snap a finger in a mousetrap for every incorrect spelling. 

Chaz and AJ asked Dr. Ron Clark to handle the list for the On The Board segment, all about the summer injuries that are most likely to bring you into the E.R. A shirtless man with crazy eyes threatened to fight someone in the parking lot of a shoe store. (3:27) Divorce attorney Meghan Freed was in studio with Chaz and AJ to talk with the Tribe about the petty and cruel things that are negotiated during the divorce proceedings. (18:30) Comedian Brian Blackmore was in studio, and shared the "light language" healer weirdos that are suddenly flooding social media. (27:19)

Rich shared stories from shows with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, meeting Ronnie Wood, and a recording session interruption by Bob Dylan. Chaz and AJ spoke with Mitch Stinson, former Aircraft Carrier Aviator with the Navy, about Memorial Day and the timing of his service following the release of "Top Gun." Frankie from the legendary Pat's King of Steak in Philadelphia made good on his bet yesterday, with Louis and Dario's Pizza of West Hempstead. Chaz and AJ spoke with both of them about the cheesesteak pop-up for Knicks fans, while Frankie made a cappucino for his wife. (0:00) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik gave tickets to every caller this morning, whether they had a question or not. Chaz and AJ got to as many calls as possible, as the Tribe scored free passes to see David Lee Roth. In the middle of a Dumb Ass News segment, Chaz and AJ asked Ruth to share the story of the $100 bill she returned last night. The Tribe chimed in with the dumbest things that nice people do, and their own stories of Lost and Found items making their way back to them. 

Chaz and AJ called attorney Michael Elkins this morning to get some historical context with the Mike Vrabel scandal, as a former NFL coach lost his job and his lawsuit due to similar infidelity. Plus, speed cameras, Disney fails, and what to do if you find $100. (0:00) In Dumb Ass News, a woman was interviewed by the news for her "service;" sending letters to families from their dead pets. (10:31) Chaz and AJ offered a similar dead pet service to the Tribe, but for free. Callers shared memories of their dead fish or hamsters, and AJ channeled them for an audio message about their life as a pet. (16:53) Is it worth spending your money at a movie theater this summer? Mike S. was in with Chaz and AJ this morning to share the movies he's excited about, from "The Odyssey," to AJ's pick of "Jackass: Best and Last." (25:18) 

Chaz and AJ opened the phone lines for the Tribe to call in with things that annoy them, after playing audio of a kid annoying an entire Dodgers broadcast with his cheering. Plus, Chaz's wife, Jennifer clears the air about her concern for the cats. 

In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ played a news report detailing the firing of a bus driver, after brake checking the kids on board and yelling at them. (0:00) A bakery in Louisiana made a $600 cake, then purposely destroyed it on camera. (9:29) Nick Stevens was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning, to talk about his career on Boston radio, thanks to his character "Fitzy." Nick also addressed rumors that he'd lost his job because of his take on Mike Vrabel. (14:19) The New Jersey angry driver, Nick Goldsack, was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about idiots on the road. Nick has gained quite a following, even though his wife, Lisa, can't understand it. (23:10) What's with the lobster roll war in Connecticut? Matt Rader was on the phone to talk about the Guilford LobsterFest in June, and went through all the details of years of lobster roll wars in CT. (30:54) 

Chaz and AJ gave their male audience 30 uninterrupted minutes to complain about their women, without judgement or consequence. Why is the toilet seat always such a big hurdle? 

Chaz and AJ talked about the viral video of the air show jet collision, and then talked about good karma after a lottery win. (0:00) Sports guy Jason Page was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about the Yankees struggling, the Knicks chances to win a championship, and fraudulent Ronda Rousey win. (10:18) In Dumb Ass News, a woman takes a foul ball right off the skull, while distracted by a selfie. (20:21) Athena Gayle was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about kinks. From balloons, to giantess fantasies, and the Japanese art of knot-tying. (27:07) A massive cockfighting ring was taken down in Tolland. Arrest estimates are somewhere between 50-100 people involved, according to Tolland town manager Brian Foley. (42:56) 

Chaz and AJ spoke with Kristin, the Regional Vice-President of the company, after the car she bought from Chaz blew the transmission. Scot Haney jumped on the phone to help Chaz with damage control. 

Comedian Anthony Rodia and cousin Marco were in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning. The coversation surrounded a list found online, of the things women think men should not wear anymore. Anthony had big thoughts about hats. (0:00) Continuing with fashion faux pas, Anthony brought up the wild gym choices he sees on a regular basis. (9:38) The Tribe called in their thoughts on men's fashion, from short pants with suits to the "juicy" butt pants. (18:40) AJ's earrings had been hidden behind headphones all morning, but a Tribe member called in about them causing Anthony Rodia to roast him. (30:53) Commander Keith's Top 5 was all about the cheap vacations you can take this summer, since gas prices are painfully high. (47:10) 

Chaz and AJ sent Big Mike to Nappi's Nook this morning, for an official attempt at their pancake challenge. The whole thing was live on the air, while streaming on social media, so everyone could follow along. Despite a strong start, Big Mike's choice of beverage may have been the reason he ultimately ran out of time. 

In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ played audio of a sick horse finding relief through a massive fart. (0:00) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to address the Rolling Stones not touring, Pearl Jam's future plans, and memories of concerts where things were thrown on stage. (4:11)CT's DOT Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto was in studio with Chaz and AJ to explain why construction is always happening when you're driving. Plus, calls from the Tribe about lights on the highway, a walking bridge snafu, and who is in charge of all the new traffic cameras. (29:18)

Chaz and AJ spoke with Big Mike from Long Island this morning, who is preparing to take on the viral pancake challenge sweeping across Long Island. With only 18 minutes on the clock, diners are asked to consume four massive pancakes, totalling some 3,000 calories.
