Director Nigel Dick was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about working with Guns N Roses, Britney Spears, and navigating the insane star power of Band Aid. 

Yesterday, Chaz and AJ talked about the scream club of San Francisco, and weren't too impressed with the examples that were offered. Ruth, on her first attempt, provided a much more impressive scream, and that was revisited in Dumb Ass News this morning. Scott talked about the military experience he had in the gunner seat of a helicopter, holding a 60-caliber weapon while sitting in a folding chair with no seatbelt. (8:13)  The Tribe was on the phone to share their Petty Pet Peeves about working as a repairman in homes, picking up cold food, and never-ending email responses. To the shock of nearly everyone, a surprise documentary about Elizabeth Holmes was announced recently. The corresponding teaser-trailer is so insane, it has spawned countless memes in just a few days. Ryan Hancock was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to explain the whole timeline of events, introduce the players, and catch everyone up on the internet's response. (0:00)  Michael Nicosia has been called Long Island's George Costanza. He's back living at home with his parents, after losing his job, his girlfriend, and his car during a stretch of terrible bad luck. Jason Page was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about the Jets, Giants and Yankees having pretty impressive weekends. Plus, the influx of influencers at the US Open. (0:00)  On a recent thrifting trip, Heidi Voight found an unexpected item for sale, second-hand. She explained the discovery, and why she needed to wash her hands with santizing wipes shortly after. (11:25)  A grandmother recently won the lottery, for the second time, in Maryland. AJ is a life-long lottery player, who has never had a big win. Paul Veneto, a retired flight attendant with United Airlines, was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about his big "push." Since 2020, he has pushed an airline drink cart along the path of one the planes, totaling more than 1,000 miles. Bruce called Chaz and AJ to share the details of his job that day, the frantic escape he made, and the devastating uncertainty of trying to find his wife once he realized that both towers had been hit. From commandeering a city bus, driving down the empty FDR drive, and seeing people covered in dust walking in the opposite direction. (1:43:53) Robert O'Neill, the Navy SEAL who shot and killed Osama bin Laden, was on with Chaz and AJ years ago to talk about the events of the raid. From the memories of 9/11 as they flew to the site, to the unmistakble details that identified the compound as belonging to Osama bin Laden, and the conversation that took place on the helicopter as they left. In Dumb Ass News, a woman skids across the street on her face, after wiping out while riding a mini bike. Chaz's wife, Jennifer called in to share her story of hitting the wall in garage after a similar incident. (0:00)  A man got more than he bargained for, after challenging his friend to hit him with a potato gun. The shot was pefectly between the legs, and brought him to the ground immediately. (5:08)  Chaz and AJ asked the Tribe to call in and share the things they are celebrating this week. From the Patriots loss, to a 61st wedding anniversary, and getting meet their anonymous kidney donor, the Tribe really stepped it up. (10:45)  Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about last night's John Fogerty performance, and answered the Tribe's questions about Danzig, Slayer, and more. Plus, some no-so-fond memories of working with one of rock's most difficult stars. (35:10)

A Long Island teacher was sent the wrong delivery, discovering a box of bullets in an expected delivery of art supplies. The art supply company seems to be very well-known by teachers and the Tribe. (0:00) Comedian Brian Blackmore was handling today's "On the Board," about the creepiest things you see in your grandma's house. From old dolls, to the random nude painting prominently hanging on the wall. (15:11)  In Dumb Ass News, a kid argues with his dad on the doorbell cam, and was denied entry to the house until he answered some basic math questions. Chaz and AJ found a similarly-aged listener to answer the same questions with ease. (27:13)  The Tribe called in to share their Petty Pet Peeves. From traffic flow at green lights, poorly parked pickup trucks, and the co-workers who consistently throw the Excel spreadsheet into disarray. (32:51)

These two girls were trying to learn about caterpillars and butterflies, but instead got a valuable lesson on death and grief. (38:56)

Ruth's mom was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to do a review of her favorite movie, "Moonstruck." She estimated having seen it at least eight times this year. (10:12) Chaz and AJ challenged the Tribe to call in with their most incredible stories, to make us say, "Wow!" From surviving motorcycle accidents, to a golden uterus, and smearing cream cheese in car door handles. Plus, some awesome behind-the-scenes details from shows at Hartford's Dillon Stadium and the infamous Van Halen "Live Without a Net" recording at the New Haven Coliseum. 

While comparing the headline news about Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, Chaz and AJ began to try and figure out the "rule of threes." AJ has some clear rules on how this is supposed to work. In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ share the story of Tulsa's viral pooper. The man has been wearing only a thong, shower cap, and face mask with the mouth cut out. (0:00) After it was suggested by a Tribe member, Chaz and AJ introduced "Knife Wound Wednesday" this morning. Plenty of calls, all by men, about their wounds from hunting knives, kitanas, or cheaply-made plastic tools. (6:10)  Two good ones in Dumb Ass News, a realistic re-enactment of Chaz getting high from a single hit, and an Australian man who is losing to a bird diving at his head. (14:32)  Another round of Petty Pet Peeves from the Tribe, covering everything from upcharges at the drive thru, to unnecessary slow-downs on the road, and uncomfortable moaning sounds in the public bathroom. After reading about the owner of the 49ers being arrested for paying $140 for an encounter with a prostitute, Chaz and AJ wanted to know more about how the whole process works. After some tips from the Tribe about websites that can start the conversation, Ruth began texting with someone, hoping to land a radio interview. Plus, some Tribe stories from a guy who admitted to spending approximately $10,000 a year on such meetings. 

In Dumb Ass News, a woman in NYC learns the hardest lesson about flip-flops on the sidewalks of NYC. (0:00)Chaz recently was reminded that he can no longer smoke weed like he used to. His wife, Jennifer was on the phone to share the details of his mental breakdown after just a single hit from a joint. (5:27) Batso was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about his 93rd birthday celebration, in which he'll be pulling an antique car as old as he is with his neck. (23:03)  

Heidi Voight joined Chaz and AJ in the studio to talk about thrill-seeking influencers risking life and limb for the perfect shark selfie. And, shockingly, getting way too close to sharks sometimes ends with getting BITTEN. Who could have seen that coming? Then, Brian Foley called in with one of the craziest inmate stories we’ve ever heard: two prisoners managed to conceive a child without any physical contact. The bizarre plan involved Saran Wrap, a yeast infection applicator, and a level of determination that is truly hard to comprehend.

Ryan King from Black Rock Bait & Tackle in Bridgeport joined us to talk about the upcoming Greatest Bluefish on Earth tournament—and what it was like opening a brand-new bait shop in March 2020, just as the entire world was shutting down. Chaz and AJ spoke with John DeCuffa Sr., owner & operator of Jack's Bait & Tackle in City Island, Bronx — and it was a surprise appearance! The interview had originally been scheduled with his son, John Jr., but John Sr. ended up on the air without knowing he was going to be interviewed.John shared the incredible history of the family business, which has been serving fishermen since 1945. The shop was founded on City Island by John’s grandfather, Jack, shortly after Jack returned home from serving as a Marine in World War II.  John also talked about the history of the Bluefish Tournament, including some of the wild attempts fishermen have made over the years to cheat and gain an advantage. Looking ahead, John discussed his plans for retirement and the next chapter for Jack’s Bait & Tackle. His sons are preparing to take over the family business, continuing a tradition that has lasted for generations and nearly eight decades.

THE BEAVER CLIP THAT BROKE THE NEWSROOM: Chaz and AJ listened to a viral clip from a Detroit TV newscast that completely derailed into uncontrollable laughter. The culprit? Beavers. Yes, those cute, furry little animals… (0:00)Chaz finally confessed what happened the first time he met his hero, Eddie Van Halen—and let's just say it did NOT go the way he imagined. Jennifer had her own painfully awkward encounter with a Broadway star, and listeners called in with their own celebrity meeting disasters. Turns out, meeting your heroes can be terrifying. (12:26)"It's only dodgeball" - An 8th grader was accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend in a dodgeball game. (20:20)Comedian Dan Shea shared a recent experience at an EDM music festival after taking some magic mushrooms and feeling "sunshine in his belly." (0:00)  In Dumb Ass News, a list of the strangest things police officers have discovered in the trunks of cars. The man with a live goat really took home the gold. (7:55)  Guess the sound! Chaz and AJ played an audio sample for the Tribe to guess what is happening. It was actually a failed flip by a fifth grader for the first day of school. (10:33)  Last week, Scot Haney encouraged Chaz and AJ to call him while he was on vacation. Today, they tested that invitation by cold-calling him right as they started the segment. (14:47) Felipe Esparza was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning, to talk about him breaking his vegan lifestyle the last time he visited because Pepe's Pizza was in studio. (22:31) Hard to look professional while driving an ambulance without any clothes on. This woman tried to convince police she belonged behind the wheel, even though she was naked and used the police radio to ask for food. (29:47)  Commander Keith was in studio for his Top 5, which was all about the new things everyone complains about. Chaz and AJ invited Mike Lapitino to call this morning, and talk about his recent induction into the CT Broadcasters Hall of Fame. During the conversation, they remembered the original PLR studios on Chapel Street, talked about past events with listeners, and even took some calls from the Tribe. 

Brad Pitt recently revealed that he is off the wagon, and no longer a sober person after 7 years. Chaz and AJ were fascinated by the announcement, and wondered if this is something anyone else has done. The Tribe called in their sobriety stories, and why they will not be getting off the wagon. (0:00) Sir Yacht is going through all 50 states, looking for the best sandwiches in the country. Chaz and AJ believe the answer is somewhere in CT or on Long Island. So, how did it go today? (21:35)  We all know that you do not deploy a taser at a gas station, or near any flammable materials. It seems the Arizona Fish and Wildlife do not teach this, as one their service officers recently lit up a guy at the gas pump, which immediately turned into a fire. (30:57)  

Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to address another tour being cancelled, and shared a story of going on stage to inform a rabid crowd about the Grateful Dead canceling their show for the night. Plus, the Tribe called in to ask about ferry service back to Long Island after shows at the Amp, the chances of seeing Creed on tour again soon, and why concerts seem to be skipping encores lately. 

Big Mike from 94.3 the Shark was on with Chaz and AJ this morning, to talk about the tastiest fast food menu items of all time. Mike handled the board, while AJ salivated about late night tacos from Jack in the Box, and his all-time favorite, the McRib. (0:00) Steve from Pitbull Motors was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the best way to defend yourself in road rage situations. The details matter when it comes to picking a tire iron to keep on hand. (11:01)  A poor man was attacked and swarmed by hundreds of angry bees, until he was rescued by two police officers. A customer was arguing with Steve at Pitbull Motors about the cost of service, only to find out that he's not mechanic to argue with. Chaz and AJ had the audio of the interaction in Dumb Ass News. (0:00) Speed cameras continue to spread through Connecticut, as Chaz and AJ work to rally the Tribe against their continued use. Attorney John Ray was on the phone from Long Island to talk about the ways many of these cameras and companies are operating in a legal gray area. (3:28)  The Tribe called to share their Petty Pet Peeves, the little, daily annoyances they can't bring up anywhere else. Chaz and AJ will take all the complaints, with no judgement. From copy machine ettiquette, to pressing the walk button at an intersection, and shuffling and dragging feet while walking. (15:26)

Chaz and AJ brought Jon Dodd back on the show this morning, to reveal the name of the hammerhead shark recently tagged by the Atlantic Shark Institute. Traffic cameras are still under fire in Connecticut, and not-yet dead in Long Island. Chaz and AJ were rallying the Tribe, when Steve from Long Island called in to rant about the cameras on school buses. He recently reported on a restaurant in Hollywood that has regular naked dining events. (19:55) Nancy the FitBrit was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning to share some stories from bad dates. None were more memorable than man with one arm, who kept trying to trick her into asking him about it.
