    Grow with GLOW: Sasi Samyal

Interview with Sasi Krishnan from Sasi Samyal. Original Broadcast - 3rd May 2026.On this Grow with Glow podcast, we’re joined by Sasi Krishnan, founder of Sasi Samyal, an online Indian cookery school built from courage, culture and a quiet but powerful decision to say yes to herself.Originally from India, Sasi had a career before becoming a mother, and like many women, chose to step away from that identity to raise her family. When her son was around six or seven years old, she found herself asking a question so many women recognise: Who am I now and what do I want for myself? The conversation follows Sashi’s journey of rediscovery from saying yes to running a cookery lesson at a local cookery school, to understanding which opportunities truly aligned with her values, and having the confidence to say no to those that didn’t. They talk about bravery, timing, and trusting your instincts as much as your ambition. What started as a small lockdown business has since grown into a thriving online cookery school, sharing Indian home-style cooking with people far beyond her local community. Along the way, Sashi has also self-published her own cookery book, proving that growth doesn’t always come from hustle, sometimes it comes from clarity. This is a story about identity, reinvention, cultural pride and the power of choosing yourself, gently, bravely and on your own terms.
