Chris Chambers played in the NFL for 10 seasons for the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs. He went to college at the University of Wisconsin. Chris had a standout combine performance, running a 4.33 40-yard dash in 2001. He talks about his body was primed and ready to go and how he brings that approach to NFL Combine training today. Chris talks about how he had to learn on his own how to take care of his body. Eventually an injury forced him to retire and now he uses his passion for football to help the next generation prepare themselves for the NFL and beyond. Marcus Jones is currently the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at North Carolina State University. He went to college at the University of Minnesota. Marcus talked about how his career went from committing to Northern Illinois University, but then the staff left for the University of Minnesota. Marcus walks us through his thought process of sticking with the school or sticking with the coaching staff. Later in his career he had a couple major injuries. Sadly he couldn't get back to his elite level and had to start thinking about what was next. Thanks to a caring coach in Minnesota, he taught Marcus the ropes of Strength & Conditioning. Ron Harper, Jr. plays for the Toronto Raptors. He went to college at Rutgers University. Most people know the name Ron Harper from the five-time NBA champion, which makes it hard for Ron to find his own lane. Comparisons between him and his dad happened every time he walked onto a court. Ron had to create his own lane, be his own basketball player, and stay true to himself and his path so he didn't get deterred by the pressures of comparison. Jeremy Cole is currently the Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University at Buffalo. He went to college at Findlay University. Jeremy talked about how he grew up in an NFL family with his father playing for the Pittsburg Steelers. He felt he had to achieve the same level, but it wasn't meant to be. Instead, Jeremy decided to go the athletic performance route. He knew he wanted to stay in the team environments so he started his journey in the Strength & Conditioning industry and has worked his way up the ladder. Buddy Boeheim currently plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. He went to college at Syracuse University. Buddy opened up about what it was like having a famous basketball coach as a father and how opponents treated him in games. While he had all the resources available, nobody was going to let him off easy - most people played their hardest against him so they could brag they shut down a Boeheim. It finally clicked for him when he was at a point in his youth career where he had to decide if he was going to fight for success or let it go because the challenge was too much. Nash Jensen currently plays for North Dakota State University, a FBS Division 1 football program that has a storied history of national championships. Nash talks about how he had to quit basketball in high school to focus on football and how that changed his trajectory. While he received FCS offers, the recruitment approach of NDSU gave him the confidence he could succeed there. After his father's passing, he found himself not trying in practice, no focus, and no motivation. Thanks to his supportive friends and teammates around him, he woke up and realized the opportunity that was in front of him and he got back on the horse. He's now on the brink of having an opportunity to play in the NFL thanks to falling back in love with football. Tyson Etienne currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. He went to college at Wichita State University. Before reaching all of this success, Tyson had a hard road to navigate. From AAU tournaments, getting recruited, and proving that the fight inside of him meant he would beat anyone, Tyson shares so many motivating stories that most athletes can connect with. When his friend was killed in High School, Tyson learned to play for a higher purpose. It was emotional and he had the chance to leave it all behind, but instead he double down and made sure the only option was succeeding. She grew up in Minnesota, playing basketball at Hopkins High School before playing at Northwestern University. Nia has been in the WNBA for four seasons. Nia comes from a very big basketball family: her father, Richard Coffee, played in the NBA and her brother, Amir Coffee, currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. Nia opens up about her ups and downs during her time in the WNBA. She went from not really being challenged too much in college to having to fight for minutes and fight through injuries. Troy is the WMC PAN AM CHAMPION, Glory KB ranked 7th, WBC Muay Thai ranked 10th and IFMA two-time winner. We talked to Troy about growing up playing team sports like football through college and how he searched for something to keep him competitive after college. He found Muay Thai and kickboxing and fell in love with it. Troy talks about how he had to learn to excel in an individual sport since he'd grown up playing in teams.
