When all the kings and other dignitaries assembled, Bheeshm asked Yuddhishthir to start with offering pooja to the assembled kings. He also instructed Yuddhishthir to first of all offer pooja to the one who was most powerful and the best among all present. Yuddhishthir asked Bheeshm for guidance about who was most deserving of being worshipped before all present. Bheeshm told that undoubtedly Vaasudev Krishn deserved the honour. Based on that, Sahdev offered pooja to Krishn and Krishn graciously accepted the pooja. This infuriated Chediraaj Shishupaal who loudly protested against it calling Krishn’s pooja as an open insult to all the kings who were present there. Yuddhishthir tried to calm Shishupaal down. Bheeshm stopped Yuddhishthir. He took a hard line against Shishupaal and defended his decision of offering first pooja to Krishn. Sahdev added to the hard line set by Bheeshm and challenged to a fight anyone who disagreed with the decision.
