One Family, One Score: Interruptible
We have arrived at the section of the letter (Philippians) where Paul lifts up two heroes of the faith. Firstly, it’s Timothy - his deeply loved son in the faith. We see the power of living out the life that Paul has been calling the Philippians to. It’s important to call out good examples of the faith and to let them spur us on to love and good works.

One Family, One Score: Be Humble
Philippians 2:1-11 contains one of the most beautiful hymns ever written. Many scholars think it was something that Paul was quoting, rather than creating. In it we see the incredible humility and exaltation of Christ. The passage opens with a declaration of the benefits we receive in Christ, it then follows with instructions for us to live by and concludes with the hymn, detailing how Jesus has set the ultimate example in humility.Shane Rayner22 March 2026
