திருச்சிற்றம்பலம் குறிப்பு: 1. இறைவன் எங்கும் நிறைந்து இருக்கும் பொழுது அவர் எதனை நீங்குவார், புதிதாக வருவதற்கு அவர் இல்லாதது என்ன உள்ளது, அவர் கலந்து இல்லாத பொருள் தான் ஏது – புதிதாகக் கலப்பதற்கு ? இவ்வாறு எல்லாப் பொருளிலும் இருந்த போதிலும், பொருளின் தன்மையால் குறைபடாமல் தான் என்றும் தூயவனான புண்ணிய மூர்த்தியாகவே உள்ளார். இறைவன் சொற்களால் சொல்லி முடியாதவர். நுண் உணர்வால் அறியப்படுபவர். (ஒ. அவனருளே கண் கொண்டு காணின் அல்லால் இப்படியன் இந்நிறத்தன் இவ்வண்ணத்தன் இவன் இறைவன் என்று எழுதிக் காட்டொணாதே–தேவாரம் ) சிவபெருமான் எல்லாப் பொருள்களுடனும் கலந்து தோன்றினும் இவை எதுவும் அவரல்ல. அவர் கலந்து இருப்பது போலவே எல்லாம் கடந்தும் உள்ளார். சிவபெருமானுக்கு அவதாரம் இல்லை. அவர் பிறப்பது இல்லை. 3. இறைவன் அன்பர்களுக்கு எளியவனாகக் காட்சி அளித்த போதிலும், அவருடைய பேரியல்பு யாராலும் முழுதும் ஆய்வது பற்றி எண்ணியும் பார்க்க இயலாதது. எனவே தான் அவருடைய இயல்பினை சற்றேனும் காண முயல்கின்ற ஞானிகளின் திறனை வியந்து கூறுகின்றார் மாணிக்க வாசகர். (ஒ. பேரறியாத பெருஞ்சுடர் ஒன்றதின் வேரறியாமை விளம்புகின்றேனே – திருமந்திரம்) இருள் என்பது (ஒளி) இன்மையைக் குறிக்கும். உலகங்கள் எல்லாம் ஒடுங்கிய பின்னர் இறைவனைத் தவிர வேறு எதுவும் இல்லாத அந்நிலை ஏதுமற்ற இருள் போன்றது அவ்விருளில் ஒளியாக இறைவன் ஆடுகின்றார். பொருளினை உணர்ந்து சொல்லுவதன் மூலம் உணர்வினோடு ஒருமைப்பட்டுத் தொழுதலால் அவ்வகை வணக்கத்தின் பெருமை வலியுறுத்தப்படுகின்றது. திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்.

திருச்சிற்றம்பலம் குறிப்பு: 1. பாசத்தால் கட்டுண்ட பசுக்களின் உய்வின் பொருட்டு இறைவனால் நுண்ணுடலும் (சூக்ஷ்ம சரீரம்) அவற்றின் வினைக்கேற்ற (பரு) உடல்கள் பின்னும் அருளப்பட்டன என்பது சித்தாந்தம் கூறும் உலகின் துவக்கம். 2. நுதல் – நெற்றி; இறைஞ்சி – வணங்கி; இறந்து – கடந்து; புகழும் ஆறு – புகழும் வகை. விருகம் – மிருகம்; தாவர சங்கமம் – (ஸ்தாவர ஜங்கமம்) சராசரம். இறைவனுடைய பெருமையை அறிந்து அவருடைய திருநாமங்களில் மூழ்கியிருப்போருக்கு இங்கேயே வீடுபேறு – வேதம். 3. வேதங்கள் பலவாறெல்லாம் ஆழ்ந்து ஆராய்ந்தும், பலபல கோணங்களில் கூறியும் அவர் தம் பெருமையைக் கூறச் சொற்கள் இல்லாமையை உணர்த்துகின்றன. அத்தகு பெரிய அவரோ மிகச் சிறியவற்றிலும் நிறைந்துள்ளார். என்ன விந்தை இது ?! சுடர் மிகுவதால் இருளுக்குக் கேடு – பசவண்ணர். உள்ளத்தில் மெய்ச்சுடரான இறைவன் வர பொய்யிருளுக்குக் கேடு. 4. வெய்ய – காய்கின்ற/ சூடான; தணிய – குளுமையான. இறைவனுக்கு பிறவற்றைப் போலத் தோற்றம், வாழ்வு, முடிவு இல்லாமையைக் குறிப்பிட்டு, அப்பெருமானே மற்ற எல்லாப் பொருள்களுக்கும் ஆக்கல், காத்தல், அழித்தல், மறைத்தல், அருளல் என்ற ஐந்தொழில்கள் மூலம் இயங்கச் செய்கிறார் என்னும் திறத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். 5. ஒப்பற்ற உன்றன் அடியார் நடுவுற்றிருக்கும் அருளைப் புரிவாய். 6. மணமானது காண இயலாத நுண் பொருள்களாகப் பரவுகின்றது. இறைவன் அந்த நுண்மையினும் நுண்மையாக இருக்கிறார். 7. சேய்மை – தொலைவு; நணியது – அருகில் இருப்பது; மாற்றம் – சொல்

திருச்சிற்றம்பலம் : இறைவன் ஒருவனே. (ஏகம் சத் – வேதம், ஒன்றே குலமும் ஒருவனே தேவனும் – திருமந்திரம்). அவ்விறைவன் பசுக்களாகிய நாம் உய்வுறும் பொருட்டு பலபல வேடங்கள் தாங்கி நம்மை ஆட்கொள்கிறான். மேலும் அடுத்த பகுதியைக் காண “பயணங்கள் முடிவதில்லை”யுடன் இணைந்திருங்கள்! நன்றி வணக்கம்🙏🏻

(7) வியரிலங்குவரை யுந்தியதோள்களை வீரம்விளை வித்த உயரிலங்கையரை யன்வலிசெற்றென துள்ளங்கவர் கள்வன் துயரிலங்கும்உல கிற்பலஊழிகள் தோன்றும்பொழு தெல்லாம் பெயரிலங்கு பிரமாபுரம்மேவிய பெம்மானிவ னன்றே. (8) தாணுதல் செய்திறை காணியமாலொடு தண்டாமரை யானும் நீணுதல் செய்தொழி யந்நிமிர்ந்தானென துள்ளங்கவர் கள்வன் வாணுதல் செய்மக ளீர்முதலாகிய வையத்தவ ரேத்தப் பேணுதல் செய்பிர மாபுரம்மேவிய பெம்மானிவ னன்றே. (9) புத்தரோடுபொறி யில்சமணும்புறங் கூறநெறி நில்லா ஒத்தசொல்லஉல கம்பலிதேர்ந்தென துள்ளங்கவர் கள்வன் மத்தயானைமறுகவ்வுரி போர்த்ததோர் மாயம்இது வென்னப் பித்தர்போலும்பிர மாபுரம்மேவிய பெம்மானிவ னன்றே. (10) அருநெறியமறை வல்லமுனியகன் பொய்கையலர் மேய பெருநெறியபிர மாபுரம்மேவிய பெம்மானிவன் றன்னை ஒருநெறியமனம் வைத்துணர்ஞானசம் பந்தன்உரை செய்த திருநெறியதமிழ் வல்லவர்தொல்வினை தீர்தல்எளி தாமே. (11)

(4) ஒருமைபெண்மையுடை யன்சடையன்விடை யூரும்இவ னென்ன அருமையாகவுரை செய்யஅமர்ந்தென துள்ளங்கவர் கள்வன் கருமைபெற்றகடல் கொள்ளமிதந்ததோர் காலம்இது வென்னப் பெருமைபெற்றபிர மாபுரம்மேவிய பெம்மானிவ னன்றே. (5) - திருஞானசம்பந்தர்

Rajendra Chola I was one of the greatest emperors of the Chola dynasty. He expanded the Chola Empire from where his father Rajaraja Chola had left. Apart from reaching northwards to River Ganges and moving overseas to Maldives and Sri Lanka, he also invaded the Southeast Asian territories of Srivijaya in Malaysia, Indonesia and southern Thailand. He continued to maintain and improve commercial relations with China, started off by his father. He assumed the title ‘Gangaikonda Chola’ (The Chola who took the Ganges) after defeating the Gangas, Chalukyas, Cheras, Palas, Pandyas, Kalinga and other rulers. Besides, he was also known by various other titles, such as Mudigonda Chola, Virarajendra, and Pandita Chola, apart from inheriting the title of ‘Mummudi Chola’ (The Chola with three crowns) from his father. He established a new capital Gangaikonda Cholapuram, where he constructed a Shiva temple, resembling the Brihadeeswara Temple built by his father Rajaraja Chola at the previous capital Thanjavur. He built a vast empire and a strong military and naval force. His rule came to be known as the ‘Golden Age of Cholas’. He was succeeded by his son Rajadhiraja Chola, who was then followed by his other two sons – Rajendra Chola II and Virarajendra Chola.

பண்டைத் தமிழகத்தில் மூவேந்தர்களுள் ஒருவராகப் பெரும் புகழுடன் விளங்கிய சோழர்கள் நிலை தாழ்ந்து சிற்றரசர்களாக நீண்டகாலம் இருந்தனர். இந்த நிலையைப் போக்கி சோழரின் பெருமையை மீண்டும் தமிழகத்தில் நிலை நிறுத்தியவர் கோப்பரகேசரி வர்மன் விசயாலய சோழன் ஆவார். காந்த மனோகரச் சோழனின் மகனான விஜயாலய சோழன் கி.பி 850இல் சிற்றரசராக உறையூரில் பதவி ஏற்றார். இவரே பிற்கால சோழப் பேரரசிற்கான வலிமையான அடித்தளத்தை இட்டவர். கி.பி.880ல் நடந்த திருப்புறம்பியப் போரில் அக்காலத்தில் வலிமை பெற்றிருந்த பாண்டியர்களுக்குள் இருந்த உட்பகையைப் பயன்படுத்தி முத்தரையர்களின் கீழிருந்த தஞ்சாவூரைத் தாக்கி, பல்லவ பேரரசிற்கு சார்பாக போரிட்டு தஞ்சையை கைப்பற்றினார். இதற்க்கு பின்னர் 250 வருடம் தஞ்சாவூர் சோழர்களின் தலைநகராக விளங்கியது.

Velu Nachiyar was the princess of Ramanathapuram and the only child of King Chellamuthu Vijayaragunatha Sethupathy and Queen Sakandhimuthathal of the Ramnad kingdom. Nachiyar was trained in many methods of combat, including war match weapons usage, martial arts like Valari, Silambam, horse riding, and archery. She was a scholar in many languages and was proficient in languages like French, English and Urdu. She married the king of Sivagangai, with whom she had a daughter. When her husband, Muthu Vaduganatha Periyavudaya Thevar was killed in a battle with EIC soldiers, she was drawn into the conflict. She escaped the battlefield with her daughter. During this period, she formed an army and sought an alliance with Hyder Ali with the aim of launching a campaign against the East India Company in 1780. When Velu Nachiyar found the place where the EIC stored some their ammunition, she arranged a suicide attack on the location, blowing it up. Nachiyar reinherited the kingdom of her husband, and ruled it for ten more years. In 1790, the throne was inherited by her daughter Vellacci. She granted powers to her daughter with the Marudu brothers to help with the administration of the kingdom in 1780. Velu Nachiyar died a few years later, on 25 December 1796.

பூலித்தேவன் (1715–1767) நெற்கட்டான் செவ்வலைத் தலைமையிடமாகக் கொண்டு ஆண்டு வந்த பாளையக்காரராவார். இந்திய விடுதலை வரலாற்றில் வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு என்று முதன் முதலாக 1751 ஆம் ஆண்டில் வீர முழக்கமிட்டவர். இதனால் இந்தியாவின் முதல் விடுதலைப்போர் எனக் கருதப்படும் சிப்பாய்க்கலகத்திற்கும் (1857) முன்னோடியாகக் கருதப்படுகிறார். “நெற்கட்டாஞ் செவ்வலுக்கு பெருமை என்ன? நெருப்பாற்றைக் கடந்த பூலித்தேவனாலே”

இப்பாடல் பாடாண்திணை யாகும். துறை: நகர்வலஞ் செயற்குப் பணியரென வீடும், ஏந்துகை யெதிர் இறைஞ்சுக என அறமும், புகையெறித்தலான் வாடுகவெனப் பொருளும், முகத்தெதிர் தணிக என இன்பமும் கூறப்படுகிறது. இவ்வாறு செய்கவென அரசியல் கூறப்படுதலால் இது செவியறிவுறூஉம் துறையாகும். மதியமும் ஞாயிறும் போல மன்னுக என்றதனால் வாழ்த்தியல் என்ற துறையுமாகும். அறம், பொருள், இன்பம், வீடு என்ற நான்கும் பெறுக என வாழ்த்துவது சான்றோர்க்கு இயல்பாதலால், காரிகிழாரும் முதுகுடுமிப் பெருவழுதி பாண்டியற்கு, பணிக என்பதனால் வீடும் இறைஞ்சுக என்பதனால் அறமும், வாடுக என்பதனால் பொருளும் தணிக என்பதனால் இன்பமும் பெற வாழ்த்தினார்.

பாடியவர்: நரிவெரூஉத் தலையார். பாடப்பட்டோன்: சேரமான் கருவூரேறிய ஒள்வாட் கோப்பெருஞ் சேரல். திணை: பாடாண். துறை: வெவியறிவுறூஉ: பொருண் மொழிக் காஞ்சியும் ஆம். சிறப்பு: பார்வையானே நோய் போக்கும் கண்ணின் சக்தி பற்றிய செய்தி. பாடுதற்குத் தகுதியுடைய ஓர் ஆண்மகனின் கல்வி, வீரம், செல்வம், புகழ், கருணை முதலியவற்றைப் போற்றிப் பாடுவது பாடாண்திணை எனப்படும். துறை: தேசத்தைக் காப்பது குழந்தையைப் பாதுகாப்பது போன்றது என்பதால் இது செவியறிவுறூஉ துறையென்றும், அருளையும், அன்பையும் நீக்கி பாவச்செயல்கள் செய்து நீங்காத நரகத்தை தமக்கு இடமாக்கிக் கொள்ளும் நல்லறிவில்லாத தாழ்ந்தோருடன் சேராது நீ இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதால் இது பொருண்மொழிக் காஞ்சி துறையென்றும் கொள்ளலாம்.

"கொற்றம்" என்பது வெற்றியைக் குறிக்கும். வள்ளை என்பது ஒரு பாடல் வகை, பெண்கள் நெல் குற்றும்போது தலைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுவது. எனவே, போரில் வென்ற அரசனைப் புகழ்வதையும், பகைவர் நாடு அழிவதற்காக வருந்துவதையும் பொருளாகக் கொள்ளும் இத்துறை "கொற்ற வள்ளை" எனப்பட்டது.
