What if the blessing of God looks different than what you expected? In this episode of the Prime Culture Podcast, we talk about the tension between our expectations and God’s terms. Many of us approach God with a wishlist, hoping He will fulfill our version of happiness, success, comfort, and purpose. But what if the goal of following Jesus is not simply to get everything we want, but to become holy, whole, and fully satisfied in Christ? We unpack the difference between happiness and joy, why unmet expectations can turn into offense toward God, and how blessing is not something we chase, it is something we already have in Christ. When Jesus becomes enough, we stop striving for identity in success, relationships, money, platforms, or future outcomes, and we begin to live from a place of gratitude, obedience, and purpose and live a life that is to the fullest. The gospel is a divine achievement accomplished through the historical event of Jesus Christ's suffering and resurrection.  And by achievement, we mean things like, "Christ died for our sins"! There's a design and intentionality in this event & there's an accomplishment in it. Something is achieved in this event! This is not a random death, the Lord had a plan and a design. The gospel as an achievement means our salvation is secure, freeing us from both legalism and fear!
