Harnessing Worthiness From Within: A Body-Based Approach
After such a long time, it feels so good to be back. Many women come to my practice with a lack of connection and understanding of their inner experiences.Their emotions, sensations, needs, and heartfelt desires feel distant to them. We spend hours building this bridge back. Many of them hold the belief that it's not important – not important what they want, think, or feel."It's so important, YOU ARE important," I often reply.

How to Meet a Trigger With Your Body On Your Side
I got this question recently from a client and I thought it was worth sharing it here as well. My answer is partly based on The Bodyknot - a communication module from the Bodynamic system I simply love, It made so much order and sense in my personal life and experience, and I use it, in many ways, with my clients. In this link, you could find a graph for the short version of this module. https://www.danasclinic.com/post/how-to-manage-a-triggerIf you benefit from and like this content please rate, review, and share it so it could reach and support many more.

Moving Authentically: Reconnecting With the Body’s Truth with Gina Ora Yoli
I'm thrilled to share with you all this talk. Gina has been a significant step in my own personal journey in the somatic field and the one that turned it into a professional journey. Gina Ora Yoli studies dance/ performance/ choreography (B.A) and completes a Master in Expressive arts and dance movement psychotherapy. (M.A BC-DMT). She has been an art and movement psychotherapist for 30 years and facilitating Authentic Movement since 2000. Gina's work has included psychiatric (Harvard teaching hospital, McLean), educational, and social service settings. She has been in private practice since 2009. Gina's passion led her to explore how movement, expression, healing, and spirituality converge. This led her to the island of Java, Indonesia where she studied with meditation and movement masters. The practice of Authentic Movement provided Gina the perfect container in which to explore embodied consciousness within the freedom of movement. Gina is an ongoing student of Non-Dualism and Shamanism, integrating into her body of work. She was born in the U.S, raised in Jerusalem, and is currently a resident of the Fruska gora, Serbia.Witnessing FB page - https://www.facebook.com/mudancer9/photos/?ref=page_internal

The Longing to Come Back: What the Body Remembers with Tone Gilje
In this episode, I talk with Tone about the longing to come back, to ourselves, to the body. Tone Gilje is a Rolfer, Continuum teacher, Psychodrama therapist, Fascial Flow teacher, and Buteyko. From her website: "In the years that have passed, I have researched and explored what it is I am, in relation to myself, others, to the larger world around me, and to the cosmos, so that I can more and more become who I am. (This is a journey of formation that takes ever-changing form.)In this process, the body is and has been the starting point; it is the one who is always with me and with whom I must relate. It is our tool through life and also reflects for better or worse the story we all carry with us, not only our own but also the historical events and patterns of the past in family, relatives, and society. How to live a good life and not be too bound by history, if history becomes a hindrance that hinders exploration and new discoveries, contact with resources, more choices? The body we have today is the result of a long development process - an evolution, but it is not "fully developed", our organs, our structure, all the systems in the body are changing and relate to the challenges it is exposed to and what the need is. So how to facilitate this development process, not stop and stiffen in a too defined form, with too narrow a framework, but be open to what is possible, creative and promotes development.Today, the societal and perhaps more than ever environmental challenges we have are a burden, but also an opportunity and challenge to find new answers and solutions. How can we adapt to these changes, without taking the body and the resources that are there on the team? The curiosity about what lives in the body and how to get to these resources is one of my "fads", which has driven me further. It has caused me to have explored, experienced, and studied various methods of coming into contact with what has not yet been discovered, visible, and used through the body.As you may have realized, I have many questions, and am constantly looking for more!"You can find Tone in www.tonegilje.no

Welcome
We live in a world that so often separates our bodies and our hearts/minds. When we hurt in our bodies, we go to a physical therapy and leave our emotions and life experiences out the door. We do the same the other way, when we are hurt emotionally, we so often seat and talk about our experiences and leave our bodies out of the door. I'm Dana, I'm a somatic psychotherapist who specializes in work, and support women who experience chronic pains and symptoms to reconnect their bodies and move freely in their bodies and in their lives. I'm a chronic symptom thriver myself as well, and that was my long way here to this passion, curiosity, and profession in the somatic field. In this space, I hope to normalize our human experiences of pain, discomfort, transformation, growth, and healing. Through human stories, and practices so you can take them with you to your everyday life. I believe our bodies speak to us, they are storytellers. They hold the memories of what we have forgotten, they hold what we were afraid to express. Would always love to receive your experiences of listening - rate, review, and share. One nice long, full, nourishing breath, and let's start. Dana
