How to Actually Build Self-Control (ELITE BALL KNOWLEDGE)

FOLLOW ME ON RUMBLE IN CASE I GET BANNED: https://rumble.com/c/tomasmonesA city without walls gets sacked. That's what your soul looks like without this one virtue, and most men have no idea they're living exactly like that.Self-possession sounds simple until you actually try to define it. Most guys think it just means white knuckling through temptation, gritting your teeth and surviving the day. But there's a massive difference between externally holding the line and actually being free on the inside, and that gap is where most men get stuck for years without realizing it.I break down Aristotle's distinction between continence and virtue, why fasting and cold showers only get you halfway there, and the exact daily practices that move you from fighting yourself every single day to actually winning the war internally. In this video I cover:-the Proverbs 25:28 analogy of a city without walls and what it means for your soul-the difference between external and internal temperance-why going to the gym six days a week doesn't make you disciplined-Aristotle's continent man versus the virtuous man-the four ways to build external self-possession-how prayer, confession, and accountability build internal self-possession-why white knuckling your way through Lent or a no fap streak isn't the same as being freeThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://fftkingdom.com/the-legionFFTK: Come train, pray, and build with men in person. → https://fftkingdom.com/1:1 Coaching: If you're tired of knowing exactly what you need to do and still not doing it, apply to work with me directly. → https://forgevirtue.com/Find out more: links to all my social media profiles and content can be found here. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 What Is Self Possession0:24 Intellect Will And Senses3:29 Modern Men Possessed By Vice6:14 External Vs Internal Temperance9:22 Disciplined Body Disordered Life10:52 Continence Versus True Virtue13:12 Filling The Gap With God14:54 Internal Self Possession Defined16:32 Boethius And Losing Yourself18:43 How To Build The Virtue19:19 Fasting To Build Self Control21:05 Setting Firm Boundaries23:36 Structuring Your Environment26:42 Prayer Fills The Internal Gap29:09 Sitting In The Friction30:32 Examination Confession Accountability34:16 Full Commitment To Virtue38:20 Join The Legion Community39:43 Final Thoughts And Blessing

The Secret Cause of the Masculinity Crisis

FOLLOW ME ON RUMBLE IN CASE I GET BANNED: https://rumble.com/c/tomasmonesThe hero is dead. That's the actual crisis behind every "lost" young man you know. We built a whole society on maximizing freedom and individual choice, and in doing it we ripped out the one thing that gave men direction. Not feminism. Not video games. Not porn. Those are symptoms. The real collapse is the loss of the standard.I dig into why the hero archetype, Batman, Aragorn, Luke Skywalker, Odysseus, isn't childish nostalgia but the actual mechanism your conscience uses to judge your own actions. An ideal works because it's a judge. When you don't have one, you don't just feel aimless, you lose the ability to measure yourself at all. This came out of a talk I gave to a group of boys aged 8 to 14, and it forced me to get specific about what the standard actually demands of a man. Strength. Wisdom. Temperance. What they're for, and why losing them is what's actually denuting an entire generation of men into paycheck-and-Netflix mode.Christ is the ultimate archetype. But you need closer reference points too, and I explain why.In this video I cover:-why the collapse of masculinity isn't really about feminism, porn, or video games-the hero as an embodied standard and why you need one to judge itself against-what strength, wisdom, and temperance actually look like lived out as a man-why losing geographical roots, career pathways, and stable communities accelerated this collapse-how to connect your specific life to a universal standard-where to actually start this week if you're convicted but lostThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 Collapse Of Masculinity1:09 Loss Of The Standard3:03 Peterson On Identity4:08 Heroes Of Fiction Matter6:28 The Hero As Ideal8:11 Virtues Of True Manhood9:19 Temperance And Desire10:05 Standards For Career Finance12:13 Fall Of The Hero14:01 Recover The Hero15:55 Join The Legion

    Stop 'Negotiating'

Virtue is hard enough on its own. Cold showers, prayer, training, diet, all of it comes with friction. But there's a second kind of friction nobody talks about. It's not physical. It's psychological. It's the look you get when you say no to the weekend drink. It's the "bro just take it easy" when you skip the slop and hit the gym instead. Most men don't fail because they lack conviction intellectually. They fail because the first bit of social pressure cracks them. One skipped workout becomes three. One missed prayer becomes a habit of missing. You start crying wolf to yourself, and eventually you stop believing your own promises.Aristotle said virtue requires habituation in a community that recognizes and rewards it. We are not living in that kind of society anymore. So the higher you climb, the more alone you'll feel doing it. That's not a reason to stop.In this video I cover:-the difference between physical friction and psychological friction-why the boy who cried wolf is the perfect analogy for broken discipline-Aristotle's view on virtue, habituation, and community-why weekends and modern rest culture are a societal baseline worth questioning-how to tell the difference between well-intentioned correction and noise-why fortitude is the virtue that gets you throughThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 Personal Update and Injury Recovery1:02 Social Environment as Obstacle to Virtue2:30 Peer Pressure Cuts Your Intention4:33 Crying Wolf to Yourself5:35 Saying No to the Status Quo7:14 Friction Should Not Be Minimized8:08 Climbing Higher Increases Friction9:37 Discerning Valid Criticism12:18 Aristotle on Habituation13:42 Virtue of Fortitude

Why God Will Judge You for Playing It Safe [Circles of Influence]

MY RUMBLE CHANNEL: https://rumble.com/c/tomasmonesMY NEW INSTAGRAM (I was banned): https://www.instagram.com/tomas.mones1/Most men spend their whole lives inside a single circle. They get themselves sorted, maybe build a decent life, keep a prayer routine, hold a job. And they think that's the finish line. It isn't. It's barely the starting point. This video is about the Circles of Influence theory, a framework my dad introduced me to that underpins almost everything I talk about on this channel. The idea is simple: your capacity to impact the world around you is a direct extension of your self-possession and virtue. You cannot give what you don't have. You cannot lead where you haven't been.I walk through what it actually looks like to move from self-mastery to family leadership to wider societal impact, and why most men never make it past the first ring. Not because they don't want to, but because they haven't built the bandwidth. They've stopped investing in themselves and convinced themselves it's enough. The parable of the talents is real. The servant who buried his was cast out. That's not a metaphor to take lightly. In this video I cover:-the Circles of Influence theory and what it means for masculine leadership-why self-possession is the baseline, not the goal-how bandwidth and capacity determine your sphere of impact-why jumping straight to the front line without the foundation causes the wheels to fall off-the moral imperative of expanding your circle and what happens to the world when men don'tThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://fitforthekingdom.com.au/the-legion FFTK: Come train, pray, and build with men in person. → http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/ 1:1 Coaching: If you're tired of knowing exactly what you need to do and still not doing it, apply to work with me directly. → https://fitforthekingdom.com.au/forgedFind out more: links to all my social media profiles and content can be found here. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 Intro and Announcements0:54 The Two Circles Explained2:05 Inner Circle Self Possession3:27 Bandwidth and Capacity3:52 Expanding Your Circle of Influence5:58 Family as the First Circle6:27 Parable of the Talents7:44 Leading Your Family Requires Virtue10:17 Building the Kingdom Beyond Family11:54 Why Men Must Impact Society13:24 Saints Who Gave Everything14:19 Your Inaction Is a Sin of Omission15:36 Danger of Skipping Steps16:27 Start Building Your Foundation Now17:26 Outro and the Legion

My Daily Prayer Routine (24 yr old Catholic father)

MY RUMBLE CHANNEL: https://rumble.com/c/tomasmonesMY TELEGRAM: https://t.me/tomas_monesAll other socials: https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesMost men treat prayer like a tool they pick up when things get hard. They want a routine, a formula, something that works. But a prayer life that actually forms you looks different from that. This video walks through what I personally do, why I do it, and what I think every man needs to understand before he builds anything else on top.The sacraments come first. Not as a religious formality, but because that is where grace actually flows. The Eucharist and Confession are not optional add-ons to a spiritual life. They are the structure everything else hangs on. If your prayer life is built around anything other than those two, it is going to keep falling short. From there, the daily practice. Silent prayer, scripture, spiritual reading, the Rosary. I break down what each of these looks like, why I do them in the order I do, and what I have found them to produce over time. The Rosary in particular gets its own treatment because it deserves it. There is nothing like it. Vocal, contemplative, structured, and devastating to sin.In this video I cover:-why the sacraments are the foundation of any real prayer life-what my morning prayer routine actually looks like-why scripture reading gets more fruitful the longer you stay in the faith-the Rosary as a school of virtue-what to do when prayer feels dry and you are just getting the reps inReading List: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q-mjqFkXIWur1xUBB_6FCavcdSzOX18t2902JK9vxAY/edit?usp=sharingThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 Instagram Ban and Rumble Backup1:38 Sacraments as Ordinary Means of Grace2:32 The Eucharist Source and Summit3:39 Why Confession Changes You4:22 Tomas's Personal Prayer Routine5:33 Scripture Reading Daily Practice6:37 Morning Prayer Stack Overview6:53 The Holy Rosary Best Prayer8:13 Rosary Weapon Against Temptation8:24 School of Virtue in the Mysteries9:26 Closing Thoughts on Daily Prayer

The 3 Practices That Train Your Will to Choose God

Most men are losing the interior battle before the day even begins. Not because they lack discipline. Not because they don't care. But because everything around them has been engineered to gratify the will, and they have never learned to mortify it.This video is about true denial of self. Not the surface-level version. The real thing. The kind Christ demands when he says take up your cross and follow me.The modern world has removed almost every form of natural friction from daily life. Hot showers on demand. Hyper-palatable food. Endless entertainment. Pornography. You only need to be struggling with one of these things for your interior gaze to be pulled away from God. Most men are dealing with several at once. There's a reason the religious life requires three vows. Chastity. Poverty. Obedience. Each one strips away a layer of attachment. Each one asks more of you than the last. A man can be living chastely, detached from material comfort, and still be constantly gratifying his will in the small things. The scrolling. The entertainment. The avoidance of prayer. That's where most men actually are, and they don't even know it.The hardest vow is obedience because it requires you to surrender the will itself. And that's the crux of the whole thing. If you're chasing holiness but still running from friction, this is the video you need to watch. In this video I cover:-why modern comfort is the primary obstacle to the spiritual life-the three vows and what they reveal about self-denial-why mortifying the will is the crux of true holiness-cold showers, the rosary, and fasting as tools for forming the will-how to consecrate everyday friction as an offering to ChristThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 True Denial of Self0:47 Self Denial Is Not Optional2:07 Modern Comfort Kills Spiritual Growth3:27 You Must Sit in the Friction5:15 Why You Struggle to Pray6:10 What We Learn from Religious Vows7:37 The Vow of Poverty Explained8:17 The Vow of Obedience9:57 Mortifying the Will in Modern Life11:00 Three Tools for Self Denial11:44 Cold Showers Train the Will14:04 The Rosary as Mortification16:42 Fasting as Extended Self Denial17:37 Consecrating Your Disciplines to Christ19:10 Examine Where You Flee the Friction19:35 Practical Challenge Cold Showers21:03 Legion and Coaching Offer

3 Missions Every Baptized Man Was Given (Most Men Never Claim)

Most men have no idea what happened to them at their baptism. They know they were cleansed from original sin. They might know they were welcomed into the Church. But they were never told the rest of it. They were never told they were commissioned. When you were anointed with chrism, the same oil used to consecrate kings, priests, and prophets in the Old Testament, you were given an identity, an authority, and a set of orders. Not a certificate. A mission. The Church has known this for two thousand years. Lumen Gentium lays it out in three articles. And almost no one is talking about it.This video breaks down the three-fold office of Christ, priest, prophet, and king, and what it means for the man who is not ordained, who works a job, raises a family, and is trying to figure out what he's actually here to do.In this video I cover:-what the anointing with chrism actually did to your soul-the theological meaning of being "incorporated" into Christ-the priestly office: why your suffering, work, and daily life are a real sacrifice-the prophetic office: why Christian men's silence is why evil runs the streets-the kingly office: why self-mastery comes before everything else-how to begin living this out practically starting todayThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 You Were Given a Mission at Baptism0:41 The Baptismal Commissioning Explained1:25 Chrism Oil and the Anointing at Baptism2:33 The Permanent Mark on the Soul3:37 Incorporated into Christ4:51 Lumen Gentium and the Baptismal Call5:35 Commissioning Authority Identity and Orders8:38 Your Daily Life Is Your Priestly Offering12:16 Suffering with Intention13:54 The Prophetic Office Explained15:08 Witnessing Truth in Daily Life17:39 Why Christian Men Failed Their Prophetic Duty19:26 The Kingly Office20:19 Dominion Begins Within21:56 Slaves to Passion vs Kings23:05 You Are Being Sent to the Front Lines24:15 Wrapping Up the Three Offices25:04 The Laity Were Never Taught Their Dignity27:15 Living the Offices From the Inside Out29:38 Your Vocation Shapes How You Live This30:21 Outro and the Legion Community

How To Approach Girls (Why You Keep Getting Rejected)

Most guys think approaching girls is a skill problem. It's not. The skill falls apart because what's underneath it is rotten. Before you ever open your mouth, there's a layer of work that has to be done. Get that wrong and everything else is just performance. She'll feel it. You'll feel it. And nothing will come of it.This video is about what actually has to be in place before any of this works. In this video I cover:-Why intention determines everything before the approach even happens-The three types of guys and where you actually fall-Where to find the kind of woman you're actually looking for-How physicality, composure, and dress change what you communicate without saying a word-The calibration problem that kills good guys in conversation-Why "what to say" is maybe 10% of thisThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 How to Approach Girls0:13 Intention Before Everything1:37 The Guy Must Lead With Clarity4:25 No Intention Leads to Disorder5:39 Living Intentionally Without Dating7:00 Ready to Find a Spouse8:33 Where to Actually Find Her10:46 Be Jacked Dress Well Speak Well13:42 Be Yourself and Stay Calibrated16:23 Practice the Art of Conversation18:15 Intention and Confidence Do the Work19:30 Legion Community and Outro

    Biblical Proof of Retardmaxxing

Previous video introduction to retardmaxxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVB_aIXMEgE&list=PLNiMDAMs3mP4hu5KJE9rnUm7h7kLLOVPk&index=6&t=426sIf the last video landed for you, this one goes further. The world has a word for the man who fasts, prays, detaches from possessions, and orders his whole life toward God. That word is fool. St. Paul knew it. The saints knew it. And if you're serious about your faith, you're going to know it too. This is part two of the retardmaxxing series, and this time we're going into the scriptural foundations of the concept. It's not a modern internet phenomenon. It has deep roots in the tradition of the Church, and once you understand the theology behind it, the whole Christian life starts to make a different kind of sense. The world's wisdom and God's wisdom are not the same thing. What looks like weakness is often where the real power is. The incarnation itself is the clearest proof of that. This video gets into what St. Thomas Aquinas says true happiness actually is, why retardmaxxing is not anti-thought but anti-overthinking, and why Our Lady is the model of everything this concept is pointing at.The Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 Holy Fool Scripture Foundations0:42 Fools for Christ in 1 Corinthians1:03 The Absurdity of the Incarnation2:07 Why Christian Life Looks Foolish3:14 The Happy Man the World Mocks3:56 God Makes Foolish the Wise4:26 Weakness of the Cross as Victory5:03 Becoming Like a Child5:34 Simplicity and United Desires6:29 True Happiness Defined by Aquinas7:37 Anti-Overthinking Not Anti-Thought8:47 Mary the Model of the Interior Life10:24 Living and Dying as a Holy Fool11:27 Disclaimer on Worldly Duties11:55 Faith Integrates Everything

Plato's Solution to the Masculinity Crisis

Plato split men into three classes. Bronze, silver, and gold. Most men are chasing silver. Strength, success, status. And there's nothing wrong with any of that. But if that's where it ends, you get tyrants, not kings. The philosopher king is the integration of all three. A man who has mastered the exterior but understands that mastery flows from the interior. A man who has seen the good and is fixed on it, which means the world stops having the kind of grip on him it has over everyone else. You can't bribe a man who doesn't want what you're offering. This video gets into why kingship alone produces disorder, why philosophy without strength produces basement dwellers, and why only the man who holds both has the capacity to actually lead. Plato gives us the framework. Aquinas develops it. And Christianity completes it through the baptismal commissioning of priest, prophet, and king. That's what every Christian man is called to. Most have never heard it framed that way.The Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones 0:00 The Philosopher King1:04 Plato's Three Types of Men1:47 The Golden Class Sees the Good2:37 Leaders Must Be Like Doctors3:28 Why Kingship Alone Falls Short5:04 The Modern King Movement5:32 Marcus Aurelius and True Wisdom6:50 The Philosopher Without Physicality8:02 Low Testosterone and Moral Cowardice9:44 Cannot Be Bribed by Shadows10:06 Christ Perfects the Philosopher King10:39 Epictetus and the Interior Kingdom12:31 Priest Prophet King14:37 The Legion and Final Thoughts

The 10 Years That Determine Everything (Most Men Waste Them)

Most men are waiting for a clear calling before they start becoming who they need to be. They want the vocation, the mission, the direction, before they commit to the work. But that's not how it works. Capacity comes before calling. The man who waits to be ready will never be ready. This video is about what you're supposed to be doing right now, before the vocation, before the clarity, before you know what God is asking of you. There is a specific kind of work that belongs to the years in front of you, and most young men are throwing it away. The graveyard image in this video says it all. All throughout a good man's life are gravestones marking the noble deeds that went undone, not through bad intentions, but through lack of energy, lack of vigor, lack of capacity. That is the quiet tragedy of a generation of men who were never taught to build. In this video I cover:-The difference between having capacity and knowing what it's for-Why the years of your youth are the most important years of your formation-What building capacity actually looks like in prayer, body, skill, and career-The low-energy dad problem-Why you don't need a clear calling to start doing serious work todayThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mone0:00 Capacity Is Not Enough0:46 Why Young Men Need to Build Now1:26 Prayer Body and Skills2:24 Grind the Years Before Marriage3:43 Most Men Waste Their Days4:15 The Low Energy Dad Problem6:12 Gravestones of Undone Deeds7:04 Build for What God Will Ask7:53 Train Today Build Today

Male Leadership (Will Save The World)

Most men today chase strength, money, and status but still feel lost. They miss the actual core of masculinity, the non-negotiable call that biology, history, and Christ Himself make crystal clear. In this raw, no-fluff breakdown I lay out what real masculine virtue looks like, why it’s never in competition with femininity, and how the culture’s zero-sum lie has destroyed both. Men are wired for hardship and leadership. Higher cortisol tolerance, thumos that drives conquest and protection, a life that isn’t about self but sacrifice for wife, family, and society. Thi headship that creates safety, order, and room for women to actually flourish in their own vocation of love and nurture. And feminism doesn’t free women, it trades one form of slavery for another. When men step up and lead rightly, everything changes for the better. It’s a positive-sum game, not the war the world pretends it is. If you’re tired of weak, directionless masculinity and want the real standard, this one cuts straight through the noise. The Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 Masculinity and Femininity0:44 Feminism Versus True Femininity1:10 Career Over Family Trap2:22 Two Sexes Biological Differences3:17 Thumos and Sacrifice4:29 Christ Models Masculinity5:02 Strength Serves Family6:37 Masculine Vocation Is Leadership7:01 Lead Yourself First8:09 Zero Sum Lie of Feminism9:25 Men Lead Women Flourish11:45 Complementary Positive Sum Game13:05 Embrace Leadership Vocation13:52 Society Lies to Women15:31 CTAs

The Spiritual Warfare Rules Nobody Taught You (Saint Faustina's Diary)

Christ appeared to St. Faustina and gave her 25 rules for the spiritual life. Most peopleapproach the interior life like a self-improvement project. They improvise, they follow what feels right, they piece together a spirituality built around their own instincts. That's not how the saints did it. Two thousand years of tradition have already done the heavy lifting. The problem is most men never find it, or they ignore it when they do.These rules cut through every excuse, every piece of modern spiritual softness, and every tendency we have to trust our own judgment over God's. If you're serious about the interior life, this is the framework. In this video I cover:-Why self-invention is one of the greatest threats to a man's spiritual life-The role of a confessor and spiritual director-Interior mortifications and why they're harder and more rewarding than physical ones-Emotional chastity and guarding your interior life-Why feelings are the enemy of merit and what to follow instead-How to respond to ingratitude, temptation, discouragement, and rebuke-What it means to fight with the conviction that God is with youThe Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones0:00 Why These 25 Rules Matter1:17 Stop Inventing Yourself2:58 Never Trust Yourself Abandon to God4:05 In Desolation Go to Jesus4:46 Flee Temptation to the Sacred Heart5:44 Reveal Temptations to Your Confessor6:33 Put Self Love Last7:11 Bear With Yourself Patiently7:39 Practice Interior Mortifications9:41 Justify Your Superiors Opinions10:42 Shun Murmuring Like a Plague11:16 Act Only as God Wants You To12:00 Observe Your Rule of Life13:11 Do Good to Those Who Trouble You13:40 Guard Your Soul Don't Pour Out Feelings14:53 Be Silent When Rebuked15:27 Seek Only Your Confessors Opinion15:57 Don't Be Discouraged by Ingratitude16:22 Don't Be Curious About Your Road17:21 When Bored Hide in God's Heart17:57 Courage Itself Intimidates Temptation19:02 God Is With You Merit Lies in the Will20:02 Trust Tradition Over Your Own Judgment20:27 Prepare for Great Battles21:23 All Heaven and Earth Are Watching22:04 Everything You Do Matters22:49 Resources and Closing

Is Your Phone Bringing You Closer to God?

Your phone isn't neutral. Every hour you spend on it is either pulling you toward God or pushing you further away, and most men haven't been honest enough with themselves to figure out which one it's doing. The Epstein files. The Iran-Israel conflict. Fuel prices. Outrage cycles. None of it is yours to carry, but the algorithm feeds it to you anyway, and you let it. Then you wonder why you can't pray. Why you can't focus. Why you feel spiritually flat in a life that looks fine on paper. This isn't a discipline problem in isolation. It's a formation problem. The same brain you're training to seek a dopamine hit every ten seconds is the brain you're expecting to sustain an hour of prayer, deep work, or presence with your family. It doesn't work like that. In this video I cover what it actually costs you to stay plugged in, why turning off your phone doesn't instantly fix anything, and the one question that cuts through all of it.The Legion: Stop doing this alone, join a brotherhood of Christian men who will hold you to the standard you already know you should be living. → https://linktr.ee/tomas.mones

@GoldenVitalist on Physical Excellence, the Human Form, and Why Weakness Is a Spiritual Problem

Tomas sits down with Matt (Golden Age Vitalist) and Blake to cover the intersection of vitalism, classical philosophy, and Christian spirituality. They get into why the Greek concept of thumos, the spiritedness of a man, is literally expressed through physical training. Why beauty is a theological category, not just an aesthetic preference. Why a fat, low-energy Christian is quietly undermining his own belief. And why the looks maxing scene, for all its early promise, collapsed into pure vanity. This is about what it means to pursue the human form as a duty to God, and how the discipline required to get there forges the interior virtues that make a man actually capable of contributing something to the world.Matt's X: https://x.com/GoldenVitalistMatt's YT: @MattKukta Blake’s X: https://x.com/blakeburrisThe platform Blake is developing: https://zincmode.com/Tomas’ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tomas.mones/Tomas’ X: https://x.com/tomas_monesFit for the Kingdom: http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/0:00 Opening and Guest Introductions4:50 Our Journeys Into Vitalism5:24 Matt's Story From Sports to Lifting7:24 Why Lifting Is Different From Sports11:00 Biohacking Nutrition and Optimization16:57 Discovering Ray Peat and Jonathan Bowen17:38 Aesthetics as a Path to the Divine19:39 Theosis and the Perfect Human Form22:18 Modern Architecture Crushes the Soul24:51 Worshipping God in Body Mind and Spirit29:17 What Looksmaxxing Gets Wrong33:48 Looksmaxxing Is Materialism Not Virtue36:19 Matt Inside the Looksmaxxing Scene38:38 Holistic Training and the Greek Thumos41:55 Training Forges Virtue and Character43:42 The Will to Change Yourself48:18 From Self Mastery to Community Impact49:14 Pay the Farmer Not the Doctor50:44 Was Jesus Shredded53:45 Gluttony Seed Oils and Bodily Control55:26 Looking Healthy vs Being Healthy57:38 PUFAs Seed Oils and Real Health1:00:50 Fat Priests and Christian Decline1:02:27 Trad Catholicism and Orthodoxy Rising1:04:19 Why the Latin Mass Converted Tomas1:05:16 Soy Christianity and Embodied Faith1:06:00 Beauty of Orthodox and TLM Liturgy1:07:02 Closing Faith Fitness and Fraternity1:08:08 Brotherhood and the Power of Mannerbund1:10:48 Final Plugs and Resources

3 Rules That Kill the Phone Addiction for Good

Your phone is not a neutral tool. It's a trillion-dollar machine engineered to keep you hooked, and it runs on the same neurological mechanisms as drug addiction. The algorithms don't care about your prayer life, your focus, your family, or your formation. They care about one thing: keeping your eyes on the screen. Most men know this and still can't stop. That's not weakness. That's by design. In this video I give you three practical protocols for breaking that grip: physical boundaries that remove the option before the temptation hits, intentional friction that increases the space between boredom and the dopamine hit, and a single spiritual criterion that cuts through all the noise. The Odysseus and the sirens framework is the right one here. You beat it by tying yourself to the mast. Are you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. The Neuroscience of Discipline (And Why Willpower Always Runs Out)

Most men trying to build discipline are solving the wrong problem. They think the issue is motivation or consistency or not wanting it bad enough. But what's actually happening is neurological, and until you understand it, you're going to keep burning out at the same point in the cycle every time. This video is about what's going on inside your brain when you try to force yourself to do something hard. Dopamine isn't what you think it is. Willpower isn't infinite. And the difference between the continent man and the virtuous man isn't just philosophical. It maps directly onto what neuroscience now shows us about how the brain rewires itself over time. There's a reason some men eventually find it natural to do hard things, and others grind themselves into the ground trying. The biology explains it. And once you understand the mechanism, you'll know exactly what you're actually trying to do and how to get there.I also get into what this framework says about the martyrs, because no reward-based model of motivation can explain a man who gives up his life for a conviction. The answer to that question is where this whole thing ends up.Are you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. What Is Vitalism? Introduction to the Movement

Something is wrong with modern men and most of them can feel it without being able to name it. The fluorescent lighting, the processed food, the blue light, the endless scroll, the paycheck-to-mouth existence with no energy, no direction, and no real questions being asked. This is not just a lifestyle problem. It is a biological one, and it has a spiritual consequence. This roundtable is the introduction to a movement that is responding to all of it. Vitalism, at its root, is the recovery of what it has always meant to be human: energetic, embodied, connected to nature, capable of genuine agency. The Greeks understood this. Odysseus is not just a literary figure, he is a prototype. A man who is fit, tanned, full of life, full of virtue, and capable of putting ideals into action through his body. What this conversation actually gets into: the modern environment as a deliberate suppressor of male vitality, why the bug man is not a caricature but a biological reality, how sun, grounding, real food, and detachment from artificial inputs are not biohacks but a return to baseline humanity, why physical renewal is the necessary first step before the deeper questions of meaning, faith, and purpose can even be asked, and what bioenergetic theosis means for Christian men who want their vitalism to point somewhere beyond the aesthetic. The Bronze Age Pervert revival woke a lot of men up. But a Nietzschean dead end is still a dead end. This conversation takes the energy of that movement and grounds it in something with an eternal horizon.Guest Links:Blake’s X: https://x.com/blakeburrisJohnny’s X: https://x.com/MetabolicCowboyThe platform Blake and Johnny are developing: https://zincmode.com/Finlay’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vitalethoz/Finlay’s X: https://x.com/vitalethozTerra Essentials: https://terraessentials.nz/Tomas’ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tomas.mones/ Tomas’ X: https://x.com/tomas_monesFit for the Kingdom: http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/0:00 Going Live1:22 What Is Vitalism4:42 People Are Waking Up7:46 Body as Vessel for the Divine9:51 Bioenergetics and Divine Ascent14:37 Vitalism Goes Mainstream20:11 Finlays Journey to Naturalism22:03 Avoiding Health Neuroticism25:50 Diet Supplements and Bioenergetics32:55 Agency Free Will and the Bug Man36:50 Questioning the Medicalised World37:56 BAP and the Emasculation Agenda39:27 Sexual Energy and Direction43:23 Christians Trapped at Step One45:33 The Young Mans Slave Trap46:32 Airplane Mode and the Sunrise49:50 Sunrise and Circadian Rhythm51:42 Dont Start the Day on Your Phone52:57 Sexual Energy Transmutation55:02 Going Offline into Real Nature57:55 FFTK Brotherhood in Practice1:00:30 Intentional Brotherhood1:02:46 BJJ as Brotherhood Builder1:04:13 Why Are We Bodybuilding1:06:30 Youth Need Leaders to Follow1:08:15 Rebuilding Muscle to Inspire1:12:40 Leaders Model the Path1:15:44 Recruiting Men to the Movement1:18:51 Health Enables You to Lead1:20:27 Closing Thoughts1:23:08 Follow the Guys

God blesses his most retarded soldiers

Retardmaxxing might be the most theologically accurate description of how God expects you to live. There's a reason Christ said you have to become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. Not because thinking is bad, but because most of what we call discernment is actually just fear with a spiritual costume on. You already know what you need to do. You're just not doing it.This video makes the case that the overthinking, the optimizing, the endless reading without fruit, the "I'm still discerning my vocation" at 25 with no prayer life and no discipline, all of it is a trap. David didn't deliberate in front of Goliath. Paul didn't set up a five-year plan after Damascus. Peter stepped out of the boat. The Church has answers for every level of inquiry. But the baseline is simple: get baptized, receive the sacraments, say your prayers, go to Mass, and start doing the work. Everything else builds on that. And if your faith isn't producing fruit, virtue, charity, discipline, growth, it doesn't matter how many books you've read.Retardmaxxing is trust in divine providence, obedience to your spiritual father, and the humility to act on what you already know is true. Are you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. Does Your Body Match Your Beliefs? | JACKED FOR CHRIST

St. Paul says physical training is of some value. Not zero. Some. Most men read that and use it as permission to stay soft. That's not what he said.If you're going to spread the gospel, lead a family, and actually be someone worth following, your body is part of the argument. People decide whether to listen to you before you've opened your mouth. That's how human beings work, and pretending otherwise doesn't make you humble, it makes you naive.Plato said the philosopher king should be trained in physical arts and be of a healthy and sound body. The Greeks carved their heroes in marble because the form meant something. A man who has his interior life ordered tends to show it. It comes out in how he carries himself, how he speaks, whether he looks you in the eye. Your body is a gift. There is no piety in leaving it undeveloped. This video makes the case for the Eastertide bulk. Get in the gym. Put on mass. Build the kind of physical presence that backs up what you say you believe. Are you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. 3 Signs God Wants You Single Right Now

Most guys asking whether they should be in a relationship are asking the wrong question. The real question is whether they're ready to lead one. A relationship isn't a reward for being lonely. It has a purpose, a direction, and a man who's supposed to be steering it. If you can't answer where you're taking her, you have no business stepping in. This video covers three specific signs that God might be calling you to stay single right now, and they apply whether you're already dating, thinking about it, or trying to hand this off to someone younger who needs to hear it.In this video I cover:-why your struggle with sexual sin disqualifies you before you even start-the difference between wanting a relationship and chasing female validation-why a woman cannot be your mission-what God is actually doing with your singleness if you're in a season of formation-how to honestly discern whether now is the time or notAre you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. Silencemaxxing for true interior peace

Most men have no idea why their life feels directionless. They're busy. They're training. They're grinding. But they never stop. And that constant motion is exactly the problem. The devil in the Screwtape Letters doesn't argue with his patient. He just keeps him distracted. A newsboy. A bus. Lunch. It works every time.Silence and prayer is indispensable. Without it, you have no way to aim your life at anything that actually matters. And a man without an aim is already losing, no matter how hard he works. YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN AIM.In this video I cover:-what the Screwtape Letters reveal about distraction and the modern world-why prayer is an act of aiming, not just an act of devotion-how Peterson's framework on aim connects directly to Catholic spirituality-the daily practice of realignment and why it compounds over time-what Christ means when he says the eye is the lamp of the bodyWant to go deeper and get into a brotherhood of men doing this together? https://fitforthekingdom.com.au/the-legionWe are rebuilding the west.My work: https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK): http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#silence #prayer #masculinity #catholic #christian #discipline #focus0:00 Introduction0:33 Modern Society & Noise1:46 The Screwtape Letters3:42 The Stream of Sense Experience6:45 Distraction Is the Weapon7:32 Why Silence Maxing Matters8:05 Prayer as Orientation9:13 Aiming at the Highest Good10:29 Daily Realignment12:05 The Eye Is the Lamp13:20 Prayer Is Aiming13:41 No Excuses for Skipping Prayer14:39 Rise Early, Aim High14:58 Silence Max Every Morning

"Train Like a Horse" Philosophy That Changed THE TRAJECTORY of my life (Bulk Tutorial)

Most guys train hard and still stay small. They show up to the gym, they put in the sessions, they take the mirror photo, they do the secret ab check, and they wonder why nothing changes. This video breaks down the full approach to gaining serious mass, built from years of going from a 60kg pencil neck to pulling 210 off the ground, shaped in large part by the teachings of Eric Bugenhagen, the man who taught me more about lifting and bulking than anyone else.If you think you're eating enough, you're probably not. Most people are undereating by hundreds of calories and don't even know it. The bulk is not a 2,500 calorie day with a little ice cream for dessert. It is ruthless, intentional, front-loaded eating from the moment you wake up until the last hurrah before bed. And it has to be paired with heavy iron, compound movements, and the kind of training that drains your entire body by the time you leave the gym. This is the method. It worked. And if you actually follow it, it's impossible not to grow.In this video I cover:why 3,000 calories is basically maintenance and what you actually need to growthe exact meal structure I used to hit 5,000 to 6,000 calories a daywhy frontloading calories early in the day changes everythingthe case for raw eggs, raw milk, and whole food over supplementswhat Eric Bugenhagen taught me about bulking and lifting heavythe spiritual and physical argument for why a pencil neck has a duty to put on massthe Easter tide bulk and how I'm approaching the next phase of trainingWant to go further? The Real Reason Jews Rejected Christ

The most Jewish thing you can do is become Catholic. The resurrection doesn't make full sense without what came before it, and that connection is almost never explained clearly. The Tridium is not three separate events. It is one complete movement that has been building since Genesis. The Passover, the lamb, the blood on the doorpost, Moses through the Red Sea, the vineyard parable, the suffering servant. All of it lands on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. When you see it, the whole of scripture locks into place. This video is not a long one, but it covers something I kept noticing was missing from almost every Easter conversation I came across, including from serious scholars. In this video I cover:-why the resurrection cannot be fully understood without the Old Testament-how Christ fulfills and completes the Passover, not just symbolically but literally-why there was no sacrificial lamb at the Last Supper-the real reason most Jews did not accept Christ as Messiah-the parable of the vineyard and what it reveals about salvation history-why Christianity did not appear out of nowhere but is the fulfillment of everything that came before itWant to go deeper and be part of a brotherhood doing this seriously? Real Meaning of the Last Supper | Easter Reflection

You've sat through hundreds of masses and still might not fully understand what is happening at the altar. Most Catholics know the Last Supper as the beginning of a sad story. They don't know it as the hinge point of all salvation history. This video breaks down the scriptural and theological weight of Holy Thursday in a way that will change how you experience every Mass you attend for the rest of your life. The Passover wasn't just a memory. The Eucharist isn't just a symbol. And the altar isn't just a table. Once you understand what Christ was actually doing at that supper, and what he was fulfilling, and why he stopped the Passover meal deliberately unfinished, you can't unsee it. The connection between the Old Testament sacrifice, the Last Supper, and what happens on the altar every single Sunday is one of the most powerful threads running through all of scripture. Most people have never had it laid out for them clearly. In this video I cover:-Why there was no lamb at the Last Supper and what that reveals about Christ-The difference between the old Passover and the new, and why it matters for you right now-What anamnesis actually means and why the mass is not a repetition but a making present-How the priest acts in persona Christi and what that means for every consecration-Why the altar is Calvary and what you are actually standing at when you receive communionAre you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you are trying to hold? How Society Failed Gen Z (And What To Do)

Something went wrong with our generation. Not just bad luck, not just the economy, not just bad parents. There are specific, identifiable reasons why the men around us look the way they look and live the way they live, and most of them have nothing to do with individual failure. This video is a breakdown of the four forces that stripped us of everything we needed to become who we were made to be. Formation, challenge, responsibility, and the call to greatness, systematically removed, one by one, and replaced with something far more sinister than outright opposition. Comfort. The kind that doesn't feel like a cage until you've already been in it for years.I grew up in this. I watched it happen to the guys around me. And it wasn't until I started pulling the thread that I understood just how deliberate and how deep the damage actually goes. If you're watching this, you've already heard something calling you out of it. That matters. Now you need to understand what you're actually up against. In this video I cover:-why the most important transmission between generations was cut and what was lost with it-how education became a mechanism for extending adolescence instead of ending it-the role marriage and family play in forming men and why their absence is catastrophic-how masculine impulses get hijacked and redirected into counterfeits-what the church was supposed to provide and why it largely stopped-what it actually looks like to respond to all of thisMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/Are you seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you're trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. I don't know when this will pay off

You can't stay consistent because you're measuring the wrong thing. You track results instead of investment, and when the numbers don't move fast enough, you lose the thread entirely. The effort is there. The intention is there. But the framework is wrong from the start. The parable of the talents isn't just about money. It's about what you do with every hour you've been given today. And most people are burying theirs without realising it.There's a way of thinking about your day that completely changes how you approach consistency. A shift in how you see what you're actually building and why the results you can't see yet are the ones that matter most. It connects what you're doing right now to where you're going to be in a year, five years, a decade. And when that connection clicks, the grind stops feeling like a grind. You stop needing to see the fruit to keep working. Once you get this, consistency stops being a battle of willpower and starts being a natural outcome of understanding what you're actually doing and why.In this video I cover:-the parable of the talents applied to time, not just money-why measuring day-to-day results is the wrong metric-what faithful daily investment actually looks like in practice-trusting in God's fruitfulness when you're deep in the trenchesMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/Are you a Christian man seeking a community of like-minded men who hold the same standard you’re trying to hold? The Legion is a brotherhood of Christian men built around real accountability, weekly coaching, and a network of men who are actually doing the work. Looksmaxxing Will Send You To Hell

Looksmaxxing is everywhere right now. Young men chasing jawlines, mewing, wearing shoulder pads, hollow cheeks, makeup, all of it in the name of masculine self-improvement. But underneath the aesthetics is something older and more dangerous than a trend. It's the myth of Narcissus playing out again. A man who fixed his gaze on himself and lost everything. His purpose, his strength, his mission, all of it dissolved the moment he made himself the object of his own worship. The problem with looksmaxxing isn't that men want to look good. The problem is that looking good has become the highest good. When appearance becomes the source of your worth, you've built your identity on something that ages, fades, and eventually rots. The guys chasing this stuff aren't going to find what they're actually looking for, because what they're looking for isn't looks. It's meaning. There's a right ordering here. Strength, health, physical discipline, these are good things, and the byproduct of doing them properly is that you'll look good. But the moment looking good becomes the goal, you've put the cart before the horse and you'll start justifying things that actively harm you to get there. The masculine vocation is always oriented outwards. Toward God, toward others, toward service. Not inward. Not toward the self. Christ is the model, and nothing he did was in service of himself. In this video I cover:-the myth of Narcissus and what it actually means-why your self-worth can't be built on appearance or external validation-the woman at the well: chasing water that runs dry-how hedonism becomes idol worship and where it leads-what's actually good about physical discipline and why looksmaxxing corrupts it-the true masculine vocation: strength, prayer, morals, legacy, all oriented outward-Christ and the saints as the model of complete self-giftMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/Join THE LEGION, a group of men taking their faith and formation seriously:https://fitforthekingdom.com.au/the-legion#looksmaxxing #masculinity #catholic #christian #virtue #discipline #selfimprovement 0:00 - Looksmaxxing Is a Disorder0:41 - The Myth of Narcissus1:39 - Why Self-Worth Built on Appearance Always Fails2:27 - The Woman at the Well3:34 - How Looksmaxxing Becomes Idol Worship5:29 - What's Actually Good About Looking Good8:17 - The Right Order of Health First9:50 - The Masculine Vocation: Self Sacrifice11:53 - What Real Masculine Aura Actually Looks Like

Why Sex Before Marriage Is Destroying You

Sex outside of marriage is not just a sin. It is philosophically incoherent, and it is dismantling the social order around you. This video breaks down the real philosophical and theological case, from St. John Paul II's personalistic norm to the natural law understanding of the marital act, and shows exactly how removing the sexual act from its proper end produces everything from broken families to abortion on demand. The problem is a disordered view of the human person. When sex is reduced to pleasure, the other person is reduced to an object. That logic plays out consistently and its consequences are everywhere. In this video I cover:-the personalistic norm and the subject/object distinction explained-why every human being has an inherent dignity that cannot be reduced to utility-the two inseparable ends of the marital act: procreative and unitive-why contraception within marriage is already a violation of the fullness of the act-how gay sex, masturbation, and pornography all share the same fundamental disorder-the downstream social collapse that follows when human sexuality is severed from its end-why chasing pleasure as the primary end will never satisfy youMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#catholicism #marriage #chastity #masculinity #christianity0:00 Introduction: Why This Topic Matters1:06 What Is the Personalistic Norm?5:19 The Two Ends of the Marital Act6:38 Why You Cannot Separate the Two Ends9:46 How Casual Sex Reduces People to Objects10:24 Natural Law and Disordered Sexual Acts13:00 The Social Collapse of Sexual Permissiveness14:27 When the Cornerstone of Sexuality Falls15:50 About Me and Why I Made This Video

Why You're Not Making Any Progress (HOW TO FIX IT)

Most men think consistency is just about working hard and showing up. They grind for a while, see some progress, ease off, and end up back where they started. The issue isn't motivation or discipline in the moment. It's that they don't understand what consistency actually does over time, and what the absence of it is doing right now.Your default trajectory is not flatline. If you're coasting, you're declining. The law of entropy applies to your character the same way it applies to everything else. Every compromise, every "just this once," is compounding in the wrong direction. Rome wasn't built in a day, and it didn't fall in a day either. It eroded. Slowly. Through small compromises repeated over time. The same thing is happening to men who are coasting through their 20s and 30s thinking they've got time.Consistency isn't about grinding yourself into dust. It's about interior congruence. When your daily actions are a natural expression of who you are and what you believe, not something you're forcing. That's when the execution becomes sustainable. That's when the trajectory actually changes. In this video I cover:-why your autopilot trajectory is downward, not flat-how Rome's rise and fall maps directly onto a man's life-the compounding effect of daily disciplines over years-why small compromises weaken your mindset long before they show visible consequences-how interior conviction produces consistent exterior execution-what it means to build Rome in your own lifeMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#discipline #christian #masculinity #consistency #character #productivity

Why Your Wife SHOULDN'T Submit to You

Effeminacy is a word almost nobody uses anymore. Aquinas defined it as a reluctance to sacrifice pleasure or endure pain in the pursuit of a good or a virtue. That one definition explains most of what's wrong with men today. The collapsing marriages, the addictions, the lack of leadership, the men who know what they should do and simply won't do it. Ephesians 5 gets weaponised constantly in both directions. Men use it as a power grab. Women use it as evidence of oppression. Both miss the point entirely. When you understand what submission actually means, and what the husband's side of that contract actually demands, the whole passage reads completely differently. This video breaks down effeminacy and emasculation, what they actually mean, why they're not the same thing, and how true masculinity is modelled on the cross. In this video I cover:-what effeminacy actually means and why Aquinas called it a vice against fortitude-why a jacked, successful man can still be effeminate-the difference between effeminacy and emasculation-what Ephesians 5 actually demands from men, not just women-the model of true masculinity: the saints who took masculine virtue to the extreme-why most men know what's right and still won't move toward itMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#masculinity #discipline #christian #virtue #catholic

Your Phone is Ruining Your Life (HERE'S WHY)

Most people know social media is bad for them. They just haven't been honest about why. This video breaks down exactly what the algorithm is doing to you, why willpower alone isn't enough to fight it, and the one reframe that changes how you respond to friction entirely. If you're using social media and you're not there to produce, convert, or build something. You're just being FARMED.The algorithm is not a neutral tool. It's trillions of dollars of psychology and research designed to keep your eyes on the screen as long as possible. It knows what gets your attention before you do. And every time you open the app out of habit, you walked straight into the trap. That's not a character flaw. That's the entire business model working exactly as intended. The real cost isn't just the time. It's the mental real estate. You weren't trying to learn about geopolitics. You weren't trying to get angry. But now you're distracted, disturbed, and you've got five things spinning in your head that have nothing to do with the work sitting right in front of you. That's the damage that nobody talks about. In this video I cover:-why being a consumer on social media is costing you more than you think-how the algorithm is engineered to trap you and why this goes way beyond a discipline problem-the real reason you reach for your phone the moment a task gets hard-why the mental real estate social media occupies quietly destroys your focus and interior life-mental aid stations and how high performers actually decompress without wasting hours-the one interior practice that replaces the dopamine hit and actually builds something in youMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#socialmedia #discipline #christian #masculinity #focus #productivity

How To Get Back Up After You Fall (Avoiding The Cycle of Despair)

You're Good, But Not Virtuous (Here's Why That Matters): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJNqzd0dNvc&list=PLNiMDAMs3mP4hu5KJE9rnUm7h7kLLOVPk&index=8&t=476sGuide on Defeating Lust: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akbNH_4xUt0&list=PLNiMDAMs3mP4hu5KJE9rnUm7h7kLLOVPk&index=4We are all prodigal sons. Every single one of us. The fall is not the end of the story, but how you respond to it determines everything. Most men fall, feel shame, and spiral. The shame turns into despair. The despair turns into apathy. And before long, Satan hasn't just wounded you, he's actually winning. The scariest part is that this cycle doesn't require a catastrophic fall. It can start with one bad morning that writes off the rest of the day. One moment of weakness that becomes an excuse to flatline for a week. That's where the real damage is done, not in the fall itself, but in what you do with the next hour after it.This video breaks down the framework for getting back up after a fall, breaking the cycle of despair, and using every setback to actually rise higher than you were before. A saint is not someone who never falls, but who rises again every time with greater love for God. That's the standard. That's what we're working toward. In this video I cover:-why guilt and remorse are actually a good sign-the cycle of despair and how Satan uses your fall against you-the difference between falling and staying down-how to snap yourself out of it immediately after a fall-building an identity and battle plan to return to when you've failed-why not making the same mistake twice is the real measure of your remorse-the debrief process that turns falls into ascent toward virtueMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#virtue #repentance #catholic #masculinity #spiritual

How To Wake Up Early (and actually stick to it)

Biblical Morning Routine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta9ixuRx65U&list=PLNiMDAMs3mP4hu5KJE9rnUm7h7kLLOVPk&index=1&t=38sMost people fail at waking up early because they treat it like a discipline problem when it's actually a systems problem. I've done multiple months of consistent 4am mornings, 40 days of 3:30am, and I've maintained this outside of work commitments and fixed schedules - because when there's no one forcing you out of bed, that's when you find out if the conviction is actually there. The reality is your body will adapt, your circadian rhythm will shift, and eventually sleeping in will feel worse than getting up. But none of that happens without understanding the biology behind it and fixing what you're doing in the hours before you even try to sleep. This is everything I've learned from years of building and keeping this habit - the mindset, the science, and the systems that actually make it sustainable. In this video I cover:-why waking up early starts the night before, not the morning-how your body actually adapts its circadian rhythm through light and activity-the mindset shift you need when you're running on less sleep-how far you can push your weekend sleep-in without working against yourself-why it gets harder to sleep in once you've built the habit long enoughMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#discipline #morningroutine #wakeup #habits #masculinity

    Biblical Patriarch Morning Routine (Non-Negotiable)

Most men give God the leftovers. Whatever time is left after work, after the gym, after scrolling. This video breaks down the biblical patriarch morning routine: prayer, physical discipline, and mental formation, and why the order matters more than the effort. As men the morning is the crucial keystone upon which everything else is built. This is the framework they used and the one I apply every single day on the farm, in my marriage, and in my pursuit of virtue and sanctity. What's covered:— How conviction and intention drive consistency— The three pillars of a biblical morning: prayer, physical training, and mental formation— The Cain and Abel principle, why giving God your first fruits changes everything— Mark 1:35 and what Christ's own morning practice teaches us about ours— The invisible 20% that feeds everything else in your lifeMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#discipline #morning #routine #masculinity #christian

Christians Have Forgotten How To Fast (Lent Fasting Guide)

My previous video on fasting, Fast Like an Ancient Christian (Not a Modern ‘Biohack Bro’) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFnqejRdkn4&list=PLNiMDAMs3mP4hu5KJE9rnUm7h7kLLOVPk&index=22Before 1966, every Catholic was required to fast every weekday of Lent. One meal. No meat. Ages 21 to 59. No exceptions. The desert monks ate once every two to four days. Bread, salt, water. The Eastern Orthodox still fast 40 days straight with no meat, no dairy, no oil. Married men. Fathers. Workers. We give up chocolate and call it Lent.Hunger is your most constant sensation. By denying it, you exercise the will over the body in a way nothing else replicates. A cold shower lasts two minutes. A workout ends. Hunger stays with you all day, which is exactly the point. The man who says no to food for 12 hours is building the same interior muscle that says no to lust, to anger, to cowardice. There is no saint in Christian history who did not fast regularly. Christ fasted 40 days before his public ministry. The apostles wrote that certain demons are only cast out by prayer and fasting. Our Lady at Fatima warned that souls go to hell because no one prays and fasts for them. This is not optional. It is foundational to the interior life of every Christian man. I've put together 4 fasting levels for Lent, from never fasted before to the traditional black fast. This breakdown covers the path from porn and masturbation addiction to true chastity and purity of heart through physical discipline, fasting, prayer, and warfare against sexual sin. Most men fail at overcoming lust because they don't address the root cause. Chastity isn't suppression, it's redirecting masculine energy through self-possession and denying the flesh in licit things before expecting victory over illicit desires. What's covered:-The biological and spiritual damage of pornography. -Why natural abstinence fails without virtue. -Fasting as the foundation for sexual self-control. -Cold showers, physical training, and mortification of the body. -Prayer weapons: Rosary, three Hail Mary devotion, St. Joseph, confession, and Holy Eucharist. -Vigilance, routine, and avoiding idleness. -Breaking silence and accountability systems. -The fruits of chastity: clarity, fortitude, rightly ordered love, self-possession.This isn't NoFap psychology. Why I Don't Drink As A Young Man (Drinking Culture is Destroying Men)

Why I don't drink alcohol as a young man in my 20s.We have a drinking problem in the West. Not just alcoholism - though that's destroying families and careers at scale. The real problem is that drinking has become the default coping mechanism for an entire generation of young men who have no meaning, no mission, and no ability to sit with their own thoughts without sedation. It's normalized escapism. Stress relief after work. Social lubricant because you can't talk to people sober. Drowning sorrows instead of confronting what's actually wrong. The drinking culture you see today is a symptom of hedonistic pleasure worship and men having nothing worth building toward. It's easier to get blackout drunk than ask yourself hard questions about what you're actually doing with your life. What I cover:The neurotoxin nobody talks about - what alcohol actually does to your brain and why it doesn't healWhy "social drinking" is a lie - the real reason people become more talkative when drunkWhat you're actually running from - stress, anxiety, hard questions about meaningThe connection between hedonism, meaninglessness, and drinking cultureWhy sobriety builds self-awareness instead of destroying itHow alcohol possesses you instead of you controlling it - same pattern as porn and video gamesThe difference between temporary pleasure and transcendental goodsMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/

Why I Choose Tired Over Comfortable

In this video I covered running our latest men's event, St Michael's Troops, and some of the bottlenecks and challenges in scaling this event accross multiple locations.. The marketing gets done in spare time between farm work, theology study, altar server training. Most projects die here. Not from lack of interest, but from lack of resources and willingness to sacrifice comfort for infrastructure. This video breaks down why young men need to be unbalanced in their 20s and why the scaling problem in these movements mirrors the personal discipline problem. In this video I cover:-the gap between running events and producing content people actually see-why being unbalanced at 20 builds capacity you can't develop later-how taking weekends off now guarantees harder struggle at 30-the difference between maintaining and actually building something-why it's hard to suddenly start hustling with three kids-how discipline compounds when you sacrifice comfort earlyMy work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#discipline #events #masculinity #sacrifice #spiritual

While You "Find Yourself" They Build Empires

Your 20s aren't for finding yourself. They're for building. Most people think finding yourself means Bali trips and road trips across Europe. That's garbage. You find yourself under pressure, through commitments, by doing difficult things, not on a beach. The brutal reality: your trajectory at 25 becomes your trajectory at 50. If it's pointing down or sideways now, it stays that way. You don't suddenly reverse decades of comfort-seeking. The foundation you're building right now - stone or sand - that's what everything else gets built on.T he formula is simple but most guys won't do it: skills over income, education over entertainment, sacrifice over comfort. The sacrifice is weekends, Netflix, "finding yourself" trips, early Friday clock-outs. Most guys won't make it. They trade their 20s for surface pleasure and wonder why their 40s feel empty. Everyone I look up to, everyone who wrote the books I read, they leveraged their young years when risk was low and time was abundant. This isn't burnout culture. It's leverage. You exchange time for skills, skills for income, income for education. Then compound. But most guys stay comfortable, stay broke, stay stuck. Your 20s are low-risk, high-time. Use them or waste them.In this video: - Why "finding yourself" in your 20s is a lie- Stone foundation vs sand: setting your trajectory- Skills over income: the actual formula- The 996 work formula vs Western 40-hour comfort- Sacrifice, pressure, commitments as the path to your mission- Time leverage and compound growth for young menMY WORK:→ Linktr: https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFIT FOR THE KINGDOM (FFTK):→ http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/

You're Good But Not Virtuous (Here's Why That Matters)

You build good habits, you do the right things, you push yourself through the grind, but somehow you end up back where you started. The problem isn't your effort. It's that you don't understand the difference between being good and being virtuous. This video breaks down Aristotle's framework for virtue and why willpower alone will never get you to where you need to be. There's a point where pushing stops working and virtue starts pulling you forward. Most people never cross that line.In this video I cover:-the four types of people and where you actually are-why good people stay stuck in the improvement cycle-the critical difference between doing good and desiring good-why taking breaks before reaching virtue resets all your progress-how virtue pulls you forward instead of willpower pushing you-the real timeline for becoming virtuous (longer than you think)My work:https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom (FFTK):http://fitforthekingdom.com.au/#virtue #habits #aristotle #character #spiritual

St. Bernard's Lost Message To The First Crusaders

In 1200 AD, St. Bernard of Clairvaux wrote a letter to Hugh de Payens, first Grandmaster of the Knights Templar. Hugh had asked Bernard three times for a pep talk to inspire his knights and recruit support for their new order, warrior monks defending Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land. Bernard's response became the blueprint for combining interior virtue with exterior capability.Bernard wrote: "A new knighthood has appeared on earth. It ceaselessly wages a two-fold war both against flesh and blood and against a spiritual army of evil." These weren't just soldiers. They were monks who fought. "They lacked neither monastic meekness nor military might."In this video:-Why worldly knighthood leads to sin regardless of victory or defeat-How the Templars armed themselves "interiorly with faith and exteriorly with steel"-The discipline system: obedience, simplicity, no personal property, no idle words-Why they rejected entertainment, vanity, and decorated armor-How they were "gentler than lambs yet fiercer than lions"-The ancient standard for Christian masculinity: meekness AND strengthBernard dismantled the objection that Christian men should be passive: "If it is permitted to bear the sword, to whom may it be allowed more rightly than those whose hands hold Zion?" The Templars lived without distinction of persons, carried each other's burdens, despised vanity, wore their hair short, stayed dust-covered from battle. They weren't show ponies, they were war horses. Meekness is not weakness. Physical capability without Christian virtue is not virtue, it's just strength. Christ came as the lamb but also said "I came not to bring peace but a sword." The dichotomy exists in Him, so it should exist in us.My work: https://linktr.ee/tomas.monesFit for the Kingdom: https://fitforthekingdom.com.au

Comfort is the Enemy of True Growth

Most men think discipline is about forcing reps or hitting weekly streaks. Wrong. Discipline is the byproduct of interior transformation, which is training your mind to sit in friction instead of seeking the exit. If you're white-knuckling cold showers while fantasizing about comfort, you're building on sand.In this video:-Why exterior discipline collapses without interior peace-The distraction instinct that sabotages every virtue-How to stop mentally escaping while physically performing-Why willpower runs out but character doesn't-Training your soul to rest on the cross, not wait for Sunday-The friction test that separates boys from menStop seeking consolation. Too many people rely on willpower alone and wonder why they keep failing. The truth is your environment shapes your decisions more than you realize. In this video, I break down what actually worked for me, how I changed my life at 17 by controlling my inputs, and why most people fail at self-improvement because they ignore their environment. In this video I cover:-why your environment determines your behavior more than willpower-the difference between trying to change vs creating conditions for change-how your friend group actively sabotages your goals-what "controlling your inputs" actually means in practice-where you're likely (and unlikely) to succeed based on your environment-how social media, entertainment, and content shape your mindsetThis isn't motivation content or self-help fluff. Too many men hyper-fixate on women and relationships, and in doing so undermine the very qualities required to become a good husband and father. A woman is not your mission. She supports it.In this video, I break down what actually worked for me, how I met my wife at 21, and why chasing relationships too early or from the wrong mindset almost always backfires. In this video I cover:-why a woman cannot be your mission as a man-the difference between living for marriage vs chasing girls-how validation-seeking ruins dating and discernment-what “stability” actually looks like before dating-where you’re likely (and unlikely) to meet a future wife-how discipline, prayer, and purpose attract the right woman-why peace of heart matters more than dating strategiesThis isn’t dating advice for attention or entertainment.
