    HIATUS: Technical Difficulties!

Hey, everyone! We've attached an explanation as to why we've been gone so long, and why we'll be gone just a wee bit longer, due to technical difficulties. Damn, technology! Feel free to listen to any older episodes and we hope you guys stick around for when we finally make it back! Love you guys, and thanks for understanding! ❤️❤️❤️ - Rain & Cheyenne -

    Episode 13: Season One Finale!

NOW WE'RE REALLY ENDING THE SEASON! We did that in record time. Truly. No large gaps. At all. Incredible timing, we'd say. It's the Season One Finale in Riverdale, and the drama continues to be never ending. Which is just how we like it! From undercover heroin rings to attempted suicide and gang loyalty over family life. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 13: The Sweet Hereafter, in which FP won't name names, even if it means not seeing his son for twenty years, Penelope convinces Cheryl the only way forward is out, The Lodges' prepare for the return of their King Pin, Betty annoys Cheyenne to her very core, and Jughead gets his Serpent on. See you in Season Two!! Episode 12: Who Done Did It?

WHAT A WAY TO END A SEASON! Just kidding, this is the second to last, but it almost fooled you right? Drama after drama after conspiracy after blaming after drama, it runs amok in this jam packed 45 minutes. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 12: "Anatomy of a Murder" -- where FP takes the fall for Jason's murder for "reasons", Jughead is sad as hell and Cole just happens to give one hell of a performance, Cheryl learns some surprising news about her family and their business, and Betty is once again an amateur sleuth Nancy Drew........with "surprising" results. Episode 11: Since We've Been Gone?

Terrible dinner conversation, hidden conspiracies, and arrests -- oh my. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 11: "To Riverdale and Back Again" -- in which it's a Homecoming dance [we think?] [even though we think they've been in Homecoming for, like, twelve years] and Archie takes the stage with Veronica [because his songs are too depressing to take the stage alone], Alice takes journalism to the next level, Veronica is desperate to prove Jughead's dad guilty, Molly "Mary Andrews" Ringwald thinks Chicago is safer than Riverdale, FP not so subtlety tells Jughead to let the murder of Jason Blossom go, Penelope drugs Polly and we're not surprised, and Cheryl lies to her parents. [NOTE: CHANGE] Contact us at [email protected], rivergirlspod.tumblr.com, and @rivergirlspod on Twitter with any questions, theories, or ideas to throw our way! ---Instagram: @rainhammoura/@ughitscheyenneTumblr: alciavikkander/c-sandTwitter: bijessmarriano/ughitscheyenne Youtube: thebeautyreader

Episode 10: The One Where We're Mad at Literally Everyone.

Partying, drinking, yelling, fighting, and more partying. That's pretty much all that happens in this episode. And it's good! But, not so much the people. As you will hear in this hour long podcast and in a way we're so so sorry. Yet, in another way, we're not because that's what you signed up for. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss season 1, episode 10: "The Lost Weekend" - in which Cheryl and Veronica face off, nasty ass Chuck is back and grosser than ever, Ethyl is there for................some reason, and it's Jughead's birthday but he certainly doesn't seem to happy about it. Which we get, cause his friends don't really give a fuck that he doesn't want one. [NOTE: CHANGE] Contact us at [email protected], rivergirlspod.tumblr.com, and @rivergirlspod on Twitter with any questions, theories, or ideas to throw our way!---Instagram: @rainhammoura/@ughitscheyenneTumblr: alciavikkander/c-sandTwitter: bijessmarriano/ughitscheyenne

  6. 10

Episode 9: We Still Can't Stand Hermione

Awkward kisses, awesome breakups, and a boat load of Blossom bait. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 9: "La Grand Illusion" -- in which Cheryl asks Archie out on a date, Archie remembers he has a girlfriend for three seconds before accepting, The Blossoms think Archie being a redhead is enough to replace they're dead son in the eyes of the extended family, Archie understandably wants to accept the Blossoms' gifts, Valerie remembers that she has a spine, Alice gets violent, Betty and Jughead share a weird kiss and a lovely conversation, and Veronica tries to make up for Hiram's actions. Oh, and I, Cheyenne, promise I'll remember the name of this podcast, eventually lmaooo. 7. 9

    Episode 8: Preggers and Delusional.

That's what Polly Cooper is considering she wants to move into the Blossoms for some odd reason. We get it, you're pregnant and your dad is a tool who wanted you to get rid of the baby, but going to the Death Chamber as I like to call it.......................not such a good idea POLLY. But, oh well, at least it'll make for a fun ride, right? In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 8: "The Outsiders" -- where Veronica does what she does best and throws a party, Betty and Jughead seem to be the only ones who care about finding who Jason's murderer actually is, and there's a Alice - Penelope and Alice - Hal showdown for the ages. Contact us at [email protected], rivergirlspod.tumblr.com, and @rivergirlspod on Twitter with any questions, theories, or ideas to throw our way!---Instagram: @rainhammoura/@ughitscheyenneTumblr: alciavikkander/c-sandTwitter: bijessmarriano/ughitscheyenne

  8. 8

    Episode 7: #PollyCooperKilledMyBrother

Polly Cooper is crazy. There's nothing that you can say that would tell me any different. Hermione is not to be trusted. Neither is Fred, to be honest. Is Penelope dangerous? Is the Student Lounge a good place to talk? Did Ginger wander over from Gossip Girl? IS FP EVEN DRUNK??! You can't trust anything happening in Riverdale, people! In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 7: In a Lonely Place -- in which, Jughead turns into Harry Potter and takes to sleeping under a set of stairs, Cheryl uses twitter quite liberally and chaotically, Polly Cooper "Runs Away" from home and people look for her in the woods for some reason, Veronica gets her club on with Reggie and her crew, and we ramble about Orange Is the New Black. Because, yeah, why not?  [NOTE: CHANGE] Contact us at [email protected], rivergirlspod.tumblr.com, and @rivergirlspod on Twitter with any questions, theories, or ideas to throw our way! ---Instagram: @rainhammoura/@ughitscheyenneTumblr: alciavikkander/c-sandTwitter: bijessmarriano/ughitscheyenne

  9. 7

Episode 6: New Appearances and Old Problems.

There's something to be said about dysfunctional families. I mean, it's true that no one's family is particularly normal, but like.....in the town of pep, there's some fucked up family situations. Even if your parents are together, you're obviously going to go around asking if they killed the red headed male Blossom twin in town. See? Fucked up. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 6: "Faster Pussycats! Kill! Kill!" -- in which Veronica questions Archie's integrity and joins the Pussycats (she does look good in cat ears), Betty and Jughead start something akin to a romance while she searches for her sister Polly, Hermione goes against her daughter and earns Rain's official evil eye, and the school Talent Show is in town but it's not much of one considering there's only two acts. Episode 5: Break Down at the Funeral.

Like in so many instances, the Mean Girl on the outside stems from the total shit storm on the inside. The inside of Thornhill Mansion, that is, where Clifford and Penelope Blossom treat Cheryl like a beaten down punching bag, without Jason no longer there to protect her. And that's not the only nasty secret to slither it's way into town. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 5: "Heart of Darkness" -- in which Hermione gets a slippery threat, Detective Betty and Detective Jughead learn about Jason's drug selling past, his engagement to the mysterious Polly Cooper, and Polly's attempted suicide, Jughead's living situation is still up in the air, Ross!Reggie's scenes tick away one by one, and Archie continues his struggle between balancing football and acoustic guitar. The horror. The horror! Episode 4: Break Down at the Drive-In.

Have I stepped onto the set of Grease for a moment? The gang with leather jackets and the old-fashioned drive-in, and the repressed emotions? Seems about right. Either way, it's a pretty heartbreaking episode, for a character and for the audience as you will soon find out. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 4: "The Last Picture Show" -- in which Detective Betty becomes a thing (and Rain is into it), Archie is in some serious fucking denial, we still hate Grundy with every fiber of our souls, and Jughead's job and home are being taken away from him. Episode 3: Souped-Up Phallic Symbols

There are many ways to treat a lady that you like with the utmost kindness and respect. You can take her out to a nice dinner and milkshake at Pop's. You can spend the evening smiling, laughing with each other, and asking invested questions about their lives back home. You can give her a kiss. You can take a photo with her and then go home and put in the effort to find a single drop on maple syrup in Google Images, open Photoshop, slather the maple drop on her face, choose that good AF filter that makes your eyes just totally pop, write out a hilarious caption that's full of complete lies about what happened on your date, post it to Instagram, and get your slut shame on. Oh ... wait? ... Not that last one? Oh, okay. Not that last one. Don't do that. Don't do that Chuck Clayton.  In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 3: Body Double -- in which Veronica goes on a doomed date with Asshole!ChuckClayton and not ComicCutieCartoonist!ChuckClayton and gets slut shamed in front of the entire school and internet, Betty gathers a crack team of Riverdale High's female population who've all been used, abused, rated, and lied about by the football team to take Chuck Clayton down, Betty absolutely loses it, drugs a person, and boils them alive, and we don't trust Ethel for a goddamn minute.  Fuck you, Chuck Clayton. 13. 3

    Episode 2: The Redheaded Disappearance.

Back in the town with pep, the murder investigation is getting even thicker as we try to figure out exactly who killed Jason Blossom. At this point, it could be anyone. Even though we were given that at the end of this episode, it still could be anyone in this rinky-dink town, so keep your eyes peeled. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Episode 2: "A Touch of Evil" -- where Veronica and Betty fight and then make up and then fight again.....and make up again, Archie's confusion about whether he should just come clean (yes, dude, you should) reaches an all time, aggravating high, Cheryl digs for answers in the most unlikely of places, and Jughead and Archie possibly make amends. We'll see! 14. 2

Episode 1: Asian Dude Bros, Broken Hearts, and Bullet Holes.

There are four important rules in life that you must abide by. Number One: Springing the words "Power Couple" on your best friend, out of nowhere, might send him running and turning you down with the ever so cliche "I'm not good enough for you." Beware. Number Two: Helping your new friend to get the boy she likes does not include making out with said boy in a closet at Cheryl Blossom's after party. Number Three: Don't go for a boat ride with your twin sister, because you just might get shot. It's an important rule. You never know. And, finally, Number Four: When sneaking off to get off with a curious football player named Moose, always watch where you're walking. There are some unseemly things afloat on Sweetwater River. You wouldn't want it to ruin the moment. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain discuss Season 1, Chapter 1: On The River's Edge -- in which we take in the *aesthetics* and meet the colorful characters of Riverdale.
