Unknown Pseudoartist

An eccentric artist having fun with weird music stuff that is not everyone's cup of tea.In the past I was infamously known for ruining other people's works, later I learnt how to make actual decent remixes, and now I'm doing original tunes and bizarre artworks.NOT using AI or anything remotely similar in neither the music or the art.

In The Immensity Of The Sea

Oh, the sea... such an immense part of our dear blue planet... yet so full of dangers. With this original composition I tried to express the fear and uncertainty of getting lost in the middle of the wide open oceans, with the extra trouble of being hungry and tired and not knowing when you'll be able to finally reach any firm lands. Really the sea is a massive graveyard, isn't it? Anyways, this is purely programmed/sequenced MIDI but still everything manually written. No AI or anything remotely close. If it sounds like an old videogame then that's a huge compliment, since old videogames had such good music!

  2. 63

Dwellers At The Gates Of Doomed Memory (demo)

An original synth metal tune, highly inspired by old Doom or Duke Nukem soundtracks. 100% sequenced MIDI but all manually written (no AI bullshit). Basically an exercise to try some original music stuff for a quick compo. The title used in this upload isn't definitive (well, neither is the music, actually, since this is more of a rough demo), but it's a reference to the full name for the pioneer melodeath band At The Gates, whose name was also a reference a song by the gothic band Fields of the Nephlim, combined with the title of the popular Doom's tune, "At the Doom's Gate". The cover artwork is just a silly edit with a photo of an abandoned house found in my walks and my dear cat, Kira. No AI slop but... human slop.

  3. 62

Oh My Dog! (quick rough demo)

A simple and quick experiment to make some raw extreme synth metal oriented track for a 1h compo. All instruments are sequenced and MIDI but manually written. Mixing is nearly unexistent, and the whole process was done in barely half an hour because some technical issues that kept me busy for half the compo time. But still something interesting to show here, I guess.

    Fly In Freedom

An original synth metal tune, mostly power metal and happy vibes, like you are flying in freedom with no one bothering you in your trip. Originally done for one of these quick events to make songs in 2 hours. The unexpectedly dark outro somewhat represents how freedom usually involves loneliness as a price. We can't have it all, I guess. The track artwork is a pic taken in one of these rural areas I like to walk around. I'm aware of the bad reputation eagles have in some cultures, but nah, that's just about the actual eagles' freedom, nothing political at all.

    Fight Against Your Boss

An original track originally I did for a community album with many other artists. The theme was about a soundtrack for a videogame based in a mall, commercial center, shop or whatever. I'm too punk and anti-capitalist to actually like this kind of themes, so my ideas were in other directions: from works in strike demanding better conditions, to a bunch of environmental activists protesting for the damage caused by obsessive shopping and all that. Hence the double meaning with the title, "Fight against your boss" actually refering to the boss as an employer as well as the common use of the word for "just a stronger enemy in a videogame". You can check the full album here: https://albums.thasauce.net/chorus2/ Cover art by robopoh.

    Raw Needles (rough demo)

I don't usually upload new music in Soundcloud lately, mostly because I'm too close to reach my limit of total length allowed for a free account. I had to delete some old (and worse) tracks to gain a few more minutes. Since nowadays Soundcloud is pretty much a ghost town anyways, and this place was often used to share rough demos and samplers, just though of occassionally upload some of my new music as it gets done too. Maybe to delete some day and reupload when finished. Or whatever, I dunno.

Entre Dos Tierras [Héroes del Silencio] (Instrumental Synth Metal Remix)

Watch the video for the ruined version: https://youtu.be/03P54n8aXKc (en español abajo) Surprise!! We go with a totally different thing again. December 28th is very much the spanish equivalent to April Fools, known as "día de los inocentes" in Spain and most of LATAM. Yes, a day to have fun and laughs instead of buying and wasting money, yay! Last year I got use of this day to ruin some old classic spanish song. This year we go with another classic but not that old. It's just around... 35 years old? And the band members are still alive! This is "Héroes del Silencio" a very internationally known spanish rock band, and a song that is so famous, even Till Lindemann (Rammstein's singer) made his own version. Mine is some kind of epic space synth metal or whatever. Yes, it sounds like MIDI because it's a MIDI arrangement. Vocals, however, are kinda... different. For the video I used a bunch of graphics ripped from multiple games, mostly shoot 'em ups like Darius and Gradius but also some totally irrelevant games like Tales of Phantasia and Illusion of Gaia. Nothing in either the music or the video is meant to make sense nor there is any moral lesson or meaning behind. It's just pure nonsense with no more purpose than having fun and hopefully bringing some well deserved laughs. I worked so hard with my recent album and serious music this year... just wanted to try something silly again. I lope you like :) CREDITS: * Unknown Pseudoartist: arrangement, programming, some keys here and there, silly vocal recordings, mix, production of both music and video, plans to rule the world, etc * Héroes del Silencio: original composition SPANISH (english above) ¡¡Sorpresa!!

Rise And Fall (And Then Rise Again)

«If you fall 100 times, then rise 101 times.» I heard that sentence many times but honestly I don't know who's the author, and a simple web search brings too many varied results with no clear conclusion. This is also that kind of project that starts as a really small, meaningless thing that somewhat grows deep on us. I just started it as an impulsive moment of inspiration for a simple and straight "Iron Maiden style doubled lead guitars" melody. It was not until more than half a year later that I tried extending these few measures of music into an attempt of a fully-structure song. I soon noticed that had a somewhat happy and energetic vibe and "what if we go down with the mood for a moment". That's where the idea for the "bardcore?" interlude came, to later gradually go back to power metal. I then felt like this song represents very well my feelings and mood of the moment. Just like life itself, this song has its moments of falling and then rising again at full strength.

    Growl On The Water

A very low-tuned industrial, electronic synth metal piece. Inspired by the depths of the sea, so production and sound may be a bit weird. Full of crunchy, muffled riffs and electronic drums combined with slightly organic elements and ambiance sounds. Nothing too complex at all. The title is a joke with the famous Deep Purple hit "Smoke on the water" but shares absolutely no similarity with the mentioned track beyond that.

  11. 54

Towards the Temple of the Black Cat

We continue our journey along with the black cat that somewhat happens to be there in our way. And also moving out oy my comfort zone, once again. Some people mentioned a "wild west" vibe, but the actual intention was more into other type of wild. More like wild forests. And black cats, yeah.

  12. 53

    Lost In The Mysterious Lands

Did you ever get lost in totally unknown territory, far away from human civilization? I did a few times, and while the idea may sound stressful there's also some pleasure on just exploring new mysterious places. Accompanied by harp as main protagonist along with a bunch of guitars and simple drums, we are now visiting the Mysterious Lands.

    Awakening The Nature's Wrath

Nature is a wonderful place to stay in. Unfortunately, some humans are despicable creatures doing nothing but harming everything around them, including the environment and the other animal kinds coexisting with us. If nature could talk, protest and fight back... This tune somewhat goes into that kind of vibes with a tribal feel and intense emotions. Including some catchy melodies along with the unusual rhythms.

Soul Of An Ancient Bird Deity

Once again moving a bit out of my comfort zone, since it's a kind of metal I'm not used to. Basically it was intended to sound like something from some ancient civilization, like metal in the old Egypt times. Lots of crunchy riffs, ethnic instruments and some simple but catchy melodies as usual.

  17. 48

    Unfinished Battle Against Deadline

Technically unfinished but still showing the idea pretty clear. This was meant to sound like a generic 90s JRPG battle theme, which were mostly inspired by prog-rock back in the time. The title is based in Sakuraba's well known tune "Unfinished battle with god syndrome" and the fact that I had to make it in 1 hour for a weekly compo and... well, just did what I could.

  18. 47

    Grow Under Tension

Another simple but hard-to-define instrumental. Initial intention was to try something in the vein of Motoi Sakuraba's usual "prog rock without guitars", but just as usual that moved to a somewhat different style. I wouldn't dare to label this as prog or experimental, but definitively not sticking to any plain standard either. There are some flutes and piano melodies, and while kinda chaotic it's mostly melodic enough. I personally feel some sense of uneasiness and slow but constant tension vibes that may fit with today typical, fast-paced lifestyle. Constantly living under tension and noticing the need for some calm and peace to eventually arrive. Just sitting there and seeing the world passing by.

  19. 46

    Icarus Syndrome

We all know the story and myth of Icarus, right? That guy who pretended to fly too high and his wings burnt, collapsing to the floor Before doing any research, I just though of a title like "Icarus syndrome" to talk about an attitude I see too often everywhere. Basically the pretension to aim too high and that ambition eventually ending with you. Not gonna lie; I noticed some shades of this even in myself sometimes, and it's not something I'd personally encourage. I tried to express this throughout music here, creating an atmosphere that can be perceived as both happy and dark. Full of catchy and somewhat optimistic melodies covered by some creepy tension.

  20. 45

Prelude to the CATastrophe + Deadly CATtack

In a way this can be considered as "a Soundcloud-exclusive" track, since it combines both intro and first track of my recent album/EP/demo/whatever, "A Third Placeholder", as one track. And believe it or not, but the piano intro was performed by an actual cat! She was sitting on my own tiny MIDI keyboard and I just had the idea of recording whatever MIDI input comes from her moving around. It was too noisy with the default synth because the ridiculously long notes, but surprisingly it wasn't that bad after loading a piano sound on it. So why not using it as an intro for a real album then? Of course the rest of the track was my own composition in my own usual synth metal style and weird stuff happening. There are some elements borrowed from the intro in the later parts as well. The point on this apparently nonsensical thing is to represent the uncertainty of a cat approaching you in the darkness, ready to attack you when you expect it the least. Cats are so cool!

  21. 44

    Unfinished Trip

Just a simple electronic tune with ambient elements. Initially done in 1 hour for a weekly compo and some work was later added, but technically still unfinished. Just enough to show the basic idea, at least.

  22. 43

    Into The Unknown Lands

An original synth/MIDI metal song. Inspired by a weird dream I once had involving a door in a rented apartment that led to a mysterious, colorful open world full of fantastic creatures and extravagant, lively vegetation. Musically it may sound a lot like a videogame soundtrack, but that's more coincidence than intentional, since I simply love music and games and music from games! All started with a simple harp arpeggio and some basic chords in a rather simple and short tune. I then extended the structure to feel more like a complete song and tried writing some lead melodies that may work as a vocal melody if I eventually dare to write lyrics and even sing (or feature an actual singer). So that flute can be considered as a placeholder. Didn't care too much about production/mixing because, well, at this point I'm focusing more into the raw ideas and not so much into the more tedious, superficial aspects of music. It's just about having fun! I think it's all listenable enough tho.

Unknown Pseudoartist - Awakening Party (Terranigma)

Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjdK_1Tx6Bg BORING STORY / DESCRIPTION: After lots of Tales of Phantasia, now we go with another great 90s JRPG with amazing soundtrack: Terranigma, which is another all-time favorite of mine. The source isn't among the greatest or most popular this game has to offer. But it was Winter Month in Pixel Mixers, a monthly video game music community and contest. So after considering multiple ideas, I finally decided to try something with the theme of that snowy village you (that is: Ark, the main protagonist) awakes in after a long sleep. This time, however, there is some plot twist. Ark don't awake in a calm village, but in a moment when everyone is in a party anyone is invited to. This is also one of my weirdest arrangements/covers/remixes/whatever ever done, to the point that I didn't even know how to label this in terms of genre. There is some folk/world, some metal, some electronic, even arguably some reggaeton and funky and more... That wasn't deliberate: the initial idea is to make a simple dance remix without any pretension, probably even without any performer but just 100% MIDI. However, as I started toying with more ideas and the structure was developing, this thing became that bizarre thing you all can hear now. I'm not afraid of experimentation and it's not my intention to be labelled as "a one-genre artist who can make only one thing" (I have enough with the prejudgements about my comedic stuff no top of that!), so... "why not? Let's embrace the madness!". And so this creature was born. A bit premature, tho, because despite having a lot of time I barely started with the arrangement 2 weeks before deadline, and the video was literally started in the latest 1 or 2 days and I underestimated some of the complications I had last minute. As a consequence, the music's production is a bit too rough (not that my other mixes are that great anyways) and the video has some important graphical glitches (text-related especially) and lacks many of the cool ideas I had to make everything more dynamic and varied. But still proud of what was able to have done in the given time. Also adding that, just like 2024 was Phantasia year, 2025 will probably be Quintet year for me. That is: games like Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, Soul Blazer, Actraiser, Robotrek... which might be my main focus this year. Hopefully that'd eventually lead to a proper Quintet games full music tribute similar to my recent "Songs of Phantasia", rather than the comedic short EP I did in mid 2022. Anyways, enough talk; have at you!

En Busca Del Carro Perdido (Manolo Escobar Cover) [Karaoke]

Watch the video for this song (ruined version): https://youtu.be/fH0QS_JKMD8 [en español abajo] Manolo Escobar was a spanish singer of andalusian copla, rumba, pasodoble and other typical spanish styles of the time. This song specifically talks about one of the biggest mysteries in the modern Spain mythology: where is Manolo's "carro" (traction carriage, not car)? Who dared to stole him? Today, December 28th, also happens to be the spanish equivalent to April Fools, known as "Día de los inocentes", pretty common in spanish speaking countries like Spain and most of Latin America. As soon as I knew about that pranks day I wanted to make something related. The simple idea of such a day in the middle of christmas is just fascinating for me. A day to have fun and laughs, rather than consuming and buying, yay! Isn't cool? So, to celebrate I just wanted to ruin some spanish song my usual way: with silly chocobo/bird-style vocals replacing melodies. Sure, I could choose a more fitting song. But it was funnier to go into a totally unusual direction and trying a more classic thing. And while not that familiar with old spanish folk stuff, this song my Manolo Escobar was just funny enough to try something. In terms of arranging this is my usual thing: MIDI low-tuned chungs, cheesy intro, ambiance SFX... No blast beats and no extreme metal elements at all, tho but a more classic mid-tempo epic metal vibe. Just representing Manolo's journey in search of the lost carriage, runinng around the whole world with his chocobo to finally find it close to a castle in the shore. Now jokes aside, this was done with no more intentions than just having fun. Just nonsensical humor, so I hope nobody feels offended by anything of it, because there's absolutely no ill intentions against anyone or anything. If you happen to know the original song I hope you just have some laughs and enjoy it, which I'd expect to be funnier if you know spanish since I added the original lyrics on sync. If you have no idea who that Manolo is, however... I hope you have some well deserved fun and laughs, too! :) [spanish now, english above!]

    Sons Of Seitan

Here we go with another of my original tunes for my March 2024 mini-album, "The Placeholder of Something"! This time the intention was to make something brutal and agressive inspired by black metal, along with the usual short intro. I don't think this sounds very much like black metal, but more like... I dunno what this thing is, actually. All instruments are MIDI and programmed by myself. No AI, no collabs, no pretensions of trying anything big. Just me having fun and toying with the DAW. The title, "Sons of Seitan", is a pun with Satan's name and a certain food probably not everyone knows. Seitan is made of wheat's glutten and it's a tasty substitute of meat. Pretty popular among vegans but suitable for everyone and quite versatile for cuisine stuff. Totally recomended. Do you see that plate of spaghetti in the cover pseudo-artwork? This is a parody of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (parody of a parody?) and these "meat balls" are made of seitan. We all are sons of Seitan and now it's the time to worship our lord!

    Router Evil

Here we go with another attempt of original tune! This one is a lot more electronic than my usual, while still having some common elements of my stuff, like the (not necessarily intentional but "just happens") dark atmosphere. The inspiration came after some person -who prefers to stay anonymous- posted an audio recording of the sound their router was doing, which somewhat reminds to upbeat or hardcore techno music. I then started a rough draft for what would quickly become a short and simple song worth to add to my collection of original stuff. Nothing great, complex or innovative but just weird stuff made for fun. The title, "Router Evil", is a reference to "Resident Evil". Nothing clever about that, either. The background image of the cover pseudoartwork is actually a photo of a computer keyboard that had all keys removed to clean and reorganize as a different key distribution juxtaposed with some room's walls. Just weird, nonsensical stuff.

Ruined Ruined Castle Corridor (Castlevania- Aria Of Sorrow)

This is the instrumental version. For the parodic version, you can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/WtirjAfZI-c CREDITS Unknown Pseudoartist - arrangement, mix, vocals, production, etc Original composer: Michiru Yamane BORING STORY: I always wanted to ruin that tune whose official title is "Ruined Castle Corridor". It's just too funny to do and call it "I Ruined Ruined Castle Corridor". This month in the monthy contest of Pixel Mixers the theme is "Michiru Yamane VS Akira Yamaoka" (aka many Castlevanias VS many Silent Hills), and I initially didn't plan to participate because I wanted to rest a bit for awhile. However, I found the inspiration just in the latest days for deadline, and admitedly this theme is the perfect excuse to comply with my plains to ruin that "ruined castle corridor". So, "why not?". So here's it. Musically I went to a very different direction. The original source having that rocking vibe it may be expected, from a metalhead like me, to go 100% metal with it. However, that's more like some weird, creepy dark pseudo-orchestral thing. No guitars, no metal drums. Just percussions, strings, organs, pianos and weird stuff like that. And chocobo-style vocals, of course! All is 100% MIDI (except vocals, obviously), and nothing is played live. Production/mix is not great either, but I just focused on having a proper structure done as soon as possible so I can finish and upload quickly and in time for Pixel Mixers. This is just for fun, after all! However, I don't discard the idea of doing a vastly improved version and maybe even inviting musicians to play stuff on it and so make it infinitely better for some album version eventually. In short; I wanted to keep this project simple for both music and video. It may still have a bunch of embarrassing mistakes, but I think it's decent enough, and it just works to bring some fun and laughs. But enough talk; have at you!

I'd definitively put Tales of Phantasia in my TOP10 or even TOP5 (TOP ToP?). Played this first as a kid and couldn't believe it's a SNES game. Awesome game, amazing graphics, wonderful soundtrack... everything was ahead of its time! I already arranged (ruined?) at least 3 or 4 tracks from this game, without counting this one, and definitively will do more in a future. Despite not an obscure game at all, the soundtrack deserves more love, at least for any track that is not Fighting of the Spirit (cool tune too, but fortunately this one gets plenty of love already). This was done for Pixel Mixers. June's month was "4 elements", and the AIRbirds represents the wind. The airbirbs are bird-shaped machines powered by Volt (spirit of electricity) that your characters use to fly all around the world map. Video comes a bit late, but hey Volt! Let's go! Besides Tales of Phantasia I also added some elements from the famous german movie, The Neverending Story, to both music and video. Just though both sources fits pretty well. Tales of Phantasia is basically that: a fantasy tale, very much like The Neverending Story. They even share the use of the word Phantasia/Fantasia! Both full of medieval fantasy cliches as well. And when it comes to music, both Aviators and the movie's iconic song shares the same key! also one of the few times I arranged something with a major key. Musically this was initially meant to be mostly like happy power metal, but as soon as Nikki (Jett Swole) recorded guitars, that started to sound closer to... happy punk rock instead. A change of vibe I'm not gonna oppose, as it totally fits the high energy and mood of the song and the bizarre and comedy elements of the video. I'd say I also took some influence from 2000s music doujin artists like Akineko, I-Chu and SHO. Especially the choice of lead synths and the programmed drums. It's a vibe I personally love and grew up with and a sound I somewhat aspire for. Anyways, I hope you like this weird thing. I wanted to add more cool stuff to the video and get a better mix for the music, but I think all is fine enough as it is. This project was a chaos full of misfortune and unexpected turns of events in the middle of its process, so it feels like a long journey, and it feels great to finally see this thing done and release to the world, however little. To end this, I also want to dedicate this to my uncle. I have plenty of cool memories of talking to him about how much I love this game when I was a kid, and he was a huge fan of The Neverending Story and 80s stuff. Who knows, maybe he'd like this, if here were still here. Thanks for all the nice moments and stuff!

Composed by Yasuhiro Kawasaki. DETAILED BORING TEXT: This was done for Soundole's ChillOut 2024 competition. Obviously this is not expected to win anything! But I just noticed it's the time of the year when @tremendouz posted his own entry and then I got the inspiration to try something, since it'd be my first time having a presence in that event despite knowing Soundole and both his music and contests. It's time to extend the bird invasion! Arrangement had quick progress and I was lucky enough to find the right people to collab playing real instruments for it. However, the rest of the process was full of trouble, which is kinda ironic since this is meant to be chill but it was an anxious mess to deal with. Mostly technical unexpected issues, basically. Still now there is a considerable number of issues in both music and video, but after so many hours I decided to just let it as it is. You may check more details about the contest, and also since you are there check more from Soundole's music and stuff, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sx2auuvegvw The title I had in mind, "Just as roses have thorns..." is based in an advice a random NPC tells you in the game. A curious particularity about Illusion of Gaia, which is also pretty common in other Quintet games, is to rely on polarized themes and, for instance, every town and place has two opposite sides. A place you think it's wonderful you later notice a surprisingly dark side. For instance, a beautiful city with petals flowing over the sky happen to have a hidden business with child slavery. P.S.: Kweh!

Yet another attempt of original music composition. Just some weird, nonsensical thing I guess I could call as Synth Speed Metal, nothing pretentious. No real instruments played, so it'll sound "very midi-ish". No AI or any similar bullshit used.

    Gotta Be Absurd

Here we go with another track from my synth metal original mini-EP, "The placeholder of something". This one was initially started with the plan to be musically closer to funk, and the title was meant to be "Funking Shirt". However, as usual this mutated into a totally different thing. I don't even know how to define this in term of music genre or style. Just weird stuff. I soon noticed this song and the choice of sounds has a texture that kinda reminds me to that of some Gameboy Advance's soundtracks. That's where the title switched to "Gotta Be Absurd". Just had to think of a title that shares the GBA acronym. As usual, nothing great in terms of songwriting or production, but I think it just works for the intended purpose of "just doing another weird tune". Lots of fancy arpeggios and stuff too. I hope you like :)

    Coprruption

Second track from my short mini-album / EP of original tunes. 100% MIDI, no real instruments played. Done with no more pretensions than just composing something and having fun with it. The initial intention was more of a classic hard rock tune somewhat inspired by Black Sabbath's Paranoid, including some attempt of characteristic riff. Can't say it went that well, but still I think it works as a simple and quick but fun tune. Title is a silly pun with Cops, Corruption and Prr (you know, that cute sound cats do).

    Descent From The Yellow Skies

I was totally careless about self-promo, but 1 month ago, for April Fools, I released an album of original tunes, and here comes the first one. You can download/stream the full mini-album/EP here: https://unknownpseudoartist.bandcamp.com/album/the-placeholder-of-something Musically I'd define that as (very) synth metal with my usual diversity of influences from both inside and outside metal. I have the habit of starting albums with smooth intros and calm instruments like harp, and this is no exception. Nothing spectacular or unique. My intention was not to do something great or mindblowing in terms of music complexity or production but just whatever came to my mind, and what I can humbly make with this ancient computer of mine. Basically just toying with riffs and arpeggios in the DAW.

Revenge Of The Amphibians — Kill The King Bee [E.V.O.] (Instrumental Version)

Watch the video for this song here: https://youtu.be/XwFyfupzF68 CREDITS: DeLuxDolemite - drums http://www.dwellingofduels.net/artists/deluxdolemite/ krobonil - piano https://www.youtube.com/@krobonil pixelseph - bass https://linktr.ee/pixelseph Tremendouz - whistle https://www.youtube.com/Tremendouz Unknown Pseudoartist - arrangement, mix, vocals, fake guitars, video, etc (aka everything else) https://unknownpseudoartist.com/ Original source is known as "New Destinations" from the SNES game "E.V.O.: Search for Eden", or "The Coast" from "46 Okunen Monogatari ~The Shinka Ron~" (the PC-98 prequel that is not that well known in the western). Originally composed by Koichi Sugiyama STORY / BORING WALL OF TEXT: February was "Animal Month" in the monthly videogame music contest of Pixel Mixers. That is: any tune that is linked to an animal character or in game whose main protagonist is an animal. Technically this allows a wide variety of tunes including Guile's theme from Street Fighter or Tifa's theme from Final Fantasy VII, since humans are animals, too (mammals specifically). However, I preferd to rely in non-human animals instead. And well, at this point anyone familiar with my stuff knows my interest in 90s obscure games, mostly SNES JRPGs. And so I though of E.V.O. (originally "46 Okunen Monogatori" in Japan). A weird and unique game where you basically travel all around time since the beginnings of time being a primitive fish in the sea, eventually a dinosaur, a birb or a mammal and... who knows, maybe someday a human too. Basically the theory of evolution combined with fantasy elements. The game itself is also a very interesting mix of platforms with JRPG elements. You kill and eat others to get "EVO points" you use to evolve individual parts of your body (jaws, tail, neck, dorsal fin, horn, etc). Such changes are not just a matter of stats but may also change your creature's aesthetics and shape drastically, allowing a large variety of combinations. Amphibians aren't most popular non-human animals ever and the tune of choice might be not the greatest either. But I'm familiar enough with this game and its music to know its potential and so I soon started tinkering with a bunch of ideas in my mind based in the game's plot. More specifically the fight agaist the evil bees. It's kinda curious, however, how this game was made in the 1990s and bees are the evil ones ruining the environment, devouring the plants until what used to be green plains becomes a desert. Yet nowadays in the real world, bees are pretty much endangered and the planet's safety is seriously affected by the lack of them in a negative way. I already ruined the underwater / fish theme once in 2022 and... not gonna lie; the idea of making an album full of E.V.O. arrangements is in my mind. Maybe in the next chapter... Anyways, with no more interesting things to say... just listen and enjoy this! Or suffer it, and share with your enemies to hurt their erars. Or whatever.

Echoes Of Ancient Civilizations [Tales Of Phantasia]

This was done for ThaSauce's PRC, in what sadly happens to be the latest compo. You can check the site for more cool stuff here: https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC472 This is the "Abyss of Thor" from Tales of Phantasia. An original arrangement in a somewhat industrial metal style, just me and my synths/samples (no real instruments played, no collabs). That tune plays in what can be considered as the stereotypical ancient civilization with super advanced technology. A longer title I had in mind was "Echoes of Ancient Civilizations, Hopes of Future Societies". I even had some ideas to add news-style speeches using some of the in-game lines when you watch the screen but discarded that in favor of a fully instrumental version and a simpler title. That source kept me thinking of how online community efforts that eventually stops could be perceived in a distant future, and how important, or at least interesting all what we leave behind can feel like for other people after years or decades. In a certain way culture and knowledge works like that: even if it gets buried it's likely to be eventually discovered and enjoyed. This is the final PRC and I assume all mp3s will be kept in the site. But even if the site and everything inside got drown in the depths of the net, that's a lot of stuff that is likely to be discovered by other people in the future. Music enthusiasts who would keep copies and share elsewhere and other enthusiasts who would discover that and, who knows, maybe be surprised by so much of cool stuff that was done in the past. After all, this is somewhat happening already with other communities of the past like VGMix, some removed OCR tracks, maybe OLremix and lots of artists and the mp3s they had in their old personal sites. Nothing is likely to be totally lost forever, and even if this is the end for PRC, we all music enthusiasts will have lots of stuff to enjoy forever. Stuff that, very much like other forms of culture and even knowledge, is likely to be passed and shared and enjoyed throughout generations all around time. Isn't that wonderful? That ancient but super advanced civilization that was once crashed by a comet and drown in the sea was there waiting for our "heroes" to be discovered and their technology used as a hope to travel in time. Who knows, maybe some people in a very distant future will discover all what we had been doing during all this time and be shocked at it. Maybe the mainstream music of the moment will be generally so bad... that thing you are listening here will sound like a masterpiece for them, and the whole site will work as inspiration for a generation of wannabe musicians. Wouldn't that be cool? Sometimes I think of my music in a slightly similar but a lot less narcissistic way: nowadays my stats (listens, downloads, followers, etc) is a foolish joke. Criticism is often negative and it seems like people generally don't understand my ideas and I just didn't get to find my place or my audience anywhere yet. But maybe in a future some of that stuff will be discovered by some random person of the net in some random corners at the deepest depths of this cyber-world and then getting the proper attention and love? Whether this happens or not, if just one single person enjoys my stuff, even if that's not happening today but 20 years later, I then may feel like it was worth all the time and effort spent. Heck, even if only crickets listen, the simple fact of being able to convert ideas from brain to DAW is already such a fantastic feeling! Let's keep creating stuff unto the ages of ages!

When Soccer Games Had Actual Music [Super Soccer] feat. Ivan Hakstok, jnWake, minusworld

⚽ FORMATION The ultimate team, featuring talented artists from all around the world, this time formed by: 🎸The olive green chocobo bassist from Croatia, his name is: 🇭🇷Ivan Hakstok, [beep]! https://www.youtube.com/c/IvanHak%C5%A1tok 🎹The virtuosistic keyboardist, the blue chocobo from Chile: 🇨🇱jnWake https://www.youtube.com/@jnWake 🎸The black chocobo from the United States, playing a bunch of guitars for us all: 🇺🇸minusworld https://minusworld-vgm.bandcamp.com/ 🥁The orange chocobo from Australia playing his drum patches, the awesome: 🇦🇺Serrin's Toes https://www.youtube.com/@SerrinsToes 🐤 The generic yellow chocobo who arranged, mixed and produced all this stuff, both music and video, recruiting the talented artists mentioned above. The mysterious identity no one knows anything of: ❔ Unknown Pseudoartist, a.k.a. UPA http://unknownpseudoartist.com This song participates in the monthly videogame music contest of Pixel Mixers of November (Racing & Sports Month). https://pixel-mixers.com/ ℹ️ STORY / BORING TEXT: I was personally never a huge football/soccer aficionado. Even less so since I grew in the era of FIFA and PES with their superfluous focus on hyper-realistic graphics and licensed mainstream music hits of the time, which never said anything to me. However, as I have older brothers and we grew up with older consoles at home I was lucky enough to know and appreciate the older and more simplistic but more charming stuff that was cooking just some years earlier. And while I still suck at sport games (the game footage moments of this video are actually CPU vs CPU!), Super Soccer (also known as Super Formation Soccer in Japan) was always different, kinda special for me. Unlike the newer, fancier soccer games, this one has actual music. A lot of these tunes are pretty catchy, with really good melodies and stuff. And the intro was especially rockin as hell. So it was a matter of time, especially since my skills as arranger got better and I'm lucky enough to count with really amazing musicians to play for me, to make something about it. And so here's it, including video with everyone personified as colorful chocobos playing around and some weird visual edits and stuff. Once again, soccer games was never my favorite kind, but I have special feelings with this particular one, and pretty fond memories of playing this with with my older brothers in the actual SNES when I was a very little kid. Sadly one of them passed away at december 2022, so I did this especially with him in mind, as he loved this game so much and I had so much of fun playing with him... Whenever you are, bro, I hope you can listen to this and like it as much as I do. Hopefully someday we'll have the chance to play together this and more cool games somewhere! And of course, I hope you all enjoy our show! It's "recover month", which means covering something that was covered before, whether by you or anyone else. While it'd be easy to remake some of my earliest and worst attempts of ruining music, or ruining an arrangement originally made by someone close, I just though of going to a totally different direction and instead picked something from a japanese artist that, unfortunately, is not very well known in the western world. Someone with names or nicknames like Shiki Hyokura, Nota Lacrimae, XX and probably more. I remember checking random stuff in random corners of the internet years ago to eventually find in the (now defunct) site of some japanese artist (doujin?) that had a lot of cool mp3s to download. Well, to be fair there were a lot of them in the 2000s or even 2010s as long as I know. That one, however... it just blown my mind since the first time I listened to it. It's so metal... so brutal yet melodic and emotional. Very much my thing. Plus the arrangement and structure is very similar to how I'd personally do. So that was one of the first choices I had in mind when I though of submitting to that contest. I had the pleasure to count with a team of talented musicians and nice people on this, and the result is what you can hear there. Bleeding Ears Again - Attack of the Killer Mummy [Super Castlevania IV]

I lost the count of how many times I ruined that classic videogame tune: "Bloody Tears" from Castlevania. This time I did that in a barely 1 day and a half for ThaSauce's PRC Compo: https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC467 And this time it's instrumental; no need to be afraid of the birds! :P The title "Bleeding Ears AGAIN" is a reference to S.S.H.'s own second version they called as "Bloody Tears Again". The subtitle, "Attack of the Killer Mummy" is just a silly reference to "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and the boss of that stage in Castlevania IV. Musically it's more of my usual synth metal with elements from orchestra, electro and more. Nothing remarkable there, and no actual musicians featured but just me toying with the arrangement and stuff alone. I hope someone can enjoy this regardless of the quality (yeah, I know how to sell myself pretty well!)

    LSDMMS (demo)

Another really quick attempt of creating some original composition. Done literally in 1 hour, including pseudo-artwork. Made in LMMS using only its own default synths and stuff, inspired by the "Worst of LMMS" contest. The title, "LSDMMS" is a silly combination of LSD (the infamous drug) and LMMS, because the weird nature of this pseudo-music and its total nonsense. I don't even know what would be the right genre to label this thing, but I don't care about that anyways.

There Are No Words [but There Are Synths] (Soul Blazer)

The birds are back! This is basically an anticipation of what is expected to be the second part of my "Terrabirds from Quintenix" EP, previously released in mid 2022. This second track is based in a track from Soul Blazer commonly known as "Ode to Lisa" or "A night without a lover". Escape From The Sky Garden [unfinished Demo] (Illusion Of Gaia)

The birds are back! This is basically an anticipation of what is expected to be the second part of my "Terrabirds from Quintenix" EP, previously released in mid 2022. This third track is an unfinished demo just to show the arrangement and ideas, with no real instruments played by anyone but just all synths. The source is the Sky Palace theme from Illusion of Gaia, and it somewhat pretends to represent that adventure of Will when (warning: game plot spoilers!) he was sucked to that place and his friends came to the rescue with Neil's airplane to finally get sucked into the sea's ruins of Mu.

    Calling At The Port (Terranigma)

The birds are back! This is basically an anticipation of what is expected to be the second part of my "Terrabirds from Quintenix" EP, previously released in mid 2022. This have only 3 tracks, 2 of them previously done exclusively for Dwelling of Duels for Magfest Free Month featuring a few talented musicians playing a variety of instruments. That second part is expected to have like 8 - 10 tracks including improved versions of these. Hopefully it'll be released sometime in mid or late 2023 as I keep ruining more of these tunes from these old good obscure games. While track 1 is kinda serious and good-sounding, please, beware of the birds assault in track 2. Track 3 is a demo exclusively included in this anticipation and it's expected to be improved and finished for the mentioned Terrabirds from Quintenix II. In the meanwhile, enjoy the (obviously non) live show of the bird and friends at the port of MAGdridd! Note: Magdridd is a city in Soul Blazer, where also happens to take place the original source of the second track. Since these songs were originally done for Dwelling of Duels in what happens to be a MAGmonth, it's just funny yet convenient coincidence that it is MAGdridd! All tracks are arranged, produced, mixed and whatever by Unknown Pseudoartist at Turbo Studios. Track 1 features the next musicians: atomic: acoustic guitars www.dwellingofduels.net/artists/atomic/ evilsonic: bass, and VST for drums www.dwellingofduels.net/artists/evilsonic/ Ian Martyn: low whistle ianmartyn.bandcamp.com Siolfor the Jackal: electric guitars www.youtube.com/@SiolfortheJackal Originally composed by Miyoko Tanaka and Masanori Hikichi
